Is a plush of Nyanko-Sensei from Natsume's Book of Friends (Natsume Yuujinchou)!
Nastume's Book of Friends is probably my favorite anime (and manga) of all time, so I thought this was really neat!
And, honestly, this cameo made me realize it has several thematic things in common with Dead Boy Detectives as well: supernatural shenanigans, found family, monster of the week format, high-school aged main characters, etc. If you liked Dead Boy Detectives I'd highly recommend giving Natsume's Book of Friends a try - the anime is just about to get it's 7th season this coming fall and the manga is ongoing (30 volumes so far, which are published in English on a 1 year delay). So there's lots to experience!
