David Wittels, Long Range History, Savage Company Hall Of Fame Member.

Retired Command Sergeant Major David Wittels currently serves as the Senior Advisor at the Vista Outdoor Survival School. In this role, he serves as the  principal survival advisor on all matters affecting training, corporate accounts, course development,  and leadership professional development.

David Wittels was born in  Chula Vista, California. He enlisted in the United States Army in July of  1980 served  seventeen years on active duty with multiple tours in the 82nd Airborne Division &  25th. He was honored in the LRSD “Savage Company” Hall of Fame, before joining the California Army National Guard.

David Wittels training includes Combat Leaders Course, 18th Airborne Corps Recondo School, Northern Warfare Instructor Qualification Course, Pathfinder School, Ranger School, Basic and Advanced Airborne schools, Jungle Warfare School, and Long Range Surveillance Leader Course.
