Do you have any recommendations for thrillers/action films directed by women? I love action films but I haven't seen too many directed by women and I'm hoping to watch more in the future. Also, thanks for your hard work on keeping this blog running! :)

I’m with you, I loooove action films. Unfortunately there is a huge gender bias against women when it comes to action, but there are still a few women who have managed to overcome the bias.

In particular check out the work of Kathryn Bigelow, as most of her filmography is action, and the Wachowskis (most of their filmography is also scifi/action).
