I've signed up for the gym challenge. I feel bad pinning Pokemon against each other... but they seem to like it. I'll let them battle it out. The first gym is a full town away, and there's a lot of Pokemon between me and that place. I'll just be training the other Pokemon on my way.

Seedot, Raltz, and Surskit logged and caught! It's actually quite peaceful to just sit down and look around at the pokemon as they hop around and live their lives. Animals get lonely, so I assume Pokemon do, too. However, they're just sentient enough to do something about it. It's inspiring.

I've finally traversed past route 101 into Odale town. I have access to routes 102 and 103, so I have a handful of more Pokemon to learn about.

Another sunrise without him.

Another cloud passes by, and I have no one to tell what I think the shape might be. A boat in the never-ending sea of the sky or a dragon flying to its cave to curl up, alone on its pile of gold.

Another animal passes by. I have no one to tell where I think it's going. Off to its burrow where it'll lie alone and hide from the heat of the sun, or into a tree where it'll do much of the same.

Another day passes by. And another. And another. And I have no one to tell how lonely I am because that is the purpose of loneliness. You do not get friends to walk with you. You do not get lovers to lie at night in bed beside you. You do not get family, however difficult, to tell you they love you and support you unconditionally.

Yesterday, I officially documented all the pokemon on route 101, and I learned a LOT about Pokemon in the wild.

For one, they're similar to wild animals! For two, they're also a lot nicer than wild animals!

Also, apperantly there are... only three Pokemon on this route. I got a but nervous in double checking... but then the professor said these little guys EVOLVE and I need to get those too??? He gave me a surprising amount of Pokeballs and told me to catch them and level them up. How do you level them up? Battling. Of course. Apperantly, trainers give the most "experience" and can help level them up faster.

So now, my team is Fluffy the Swablu, Bitey the Poocheyena, Hyper the Zizagoon, Whiney the Wurmple, and Brick the Wurmple.

I want to go home. I miss... him. And everyone else that's probably dead.

Alright, I've just about cataloged every Pokemon on route 101! My savings are going to be meager, it seems.... perhaps I might need to take up battling after all? I'm a bit worried about that, but I suppose I'll do what I must. Apperantly, the gym challenge here brings in a great amount of money? I have to say, I'm rather intrigued.

...Uh. Hello! She/him pronouns, call me Train Anon please, I am very real about internet safety but... Im currently in a... bit of a pickle.

Let me explain my problem...I took a train, the Nippon train, it connects Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh and Hoenn... but I quickly realized I am alone in this train, theres no driver, and no other people in any of the wagons. Its just me and my pokemon...

I can't really recognize where in Kanjoh I am... it changes every day, and its really rainy and cloudy.

Please help.

Ah! I guess you would want to know my pokemon too...

I currently only own an alolan and kantonian raichu and a castform...

What else...? Pelipper mail is on I guess... Oh! Please no hate, I only want to get out of the train somewhere...

This app does resemble something from my world. This just seems to be the "Pokemon" version. I suppose I'll journal my experience through here... Not much else I can do.

I will say, of all things, in a world full of such surprisingly sentient creatures, it's hard to feel lonely. I have never been more inspired to write poetry than now (which is... what I used the site in my world for. Don't tell anyone.)

The professor of this town is kind, which I'm grateful for. He said it wasn't safe to enter tall grass without a Pokemon of your own... you have to walk through tall grass to leave this town. Which feels like a kind of design fall.

Although! He graciously gifted me one of these Pokemon! It's a little blue bird covered in clouds. It was the only one he had available. Sometimes fate feels a bit cruel, though I suppose I can't complain about a gift.

He called the pokemon a Swablu, but said I could nickname it. My first thought was to nickname it Jon, but I think that would... only make me more sad. It doesn't seem my boyfriend has followed me to this universe. So, I nicknamed it Fluffy.

It's just me and Fluffy against the world. Professor whats-his-name told me most folks around here enjoy participating in a sport where you pit your pokemon in a fight until one persons team is fully knocked out. That sounded violent, but he assured me it was normal and safe. Theres even a league for it! I doubt I would do anything of the sort.

Luckily, the town I fell into has a vacant home. The professor said I can make pokedollars (why is the currency named after the animals?) through fighting. He also offered me a job. I choses the second option - I'd feel bad making Fluffy fight a bunch just for me to make money.

He handed me an odd device, a pokemon encyclopedia, and told me that for every entry, I update, he'll give me a corresponding amount of Pokedollars. He said something about usually sending children to do it for free, and I think he was joking. He was pleased to hear I had experience in archival work!

Well, Fluffy and I have some work to do, I suppose. Perhaps I'll share some of my research here as I go!! No need to keep information private.

I don't know how to end this post, it feels weird just stopping like I would in a journal. Um, Martin Out!
