Episode 6 confirms to me that Kinger was a developer of this game, along with his wife, and he has lovely children and grandchildren in the real world.

Also makes sense that Jax would be the closet to abstracting out of everyone. Dehumanizing the people around you and even yourself can not be healthy mentally.

Sonic Prime is Boring and Has Lots of Missed Potential

Hello everyone! This is my second small rant on this Tumblr account. Im not really making this a series or anything but if something pops into my head that I really want to talk about, I HAVE to talk about it. Today's victim is Sonic Prime.

This show is sort of divisive among the fandom, ESPECIALLY when they randomly confirmed that it's canon for some reason??? Some dislike it for it childish writing or Sonic being mischaraterized while other like it for it lightheartedness.

I personally think Sonic Prime's biggest problem is that is such an AMAZING premise going for it but is wasted because of boring ideas for the shatterspaces.

If you really think about it, I can only think of one shatterspace that I was invested in, and that was the "Eggman wins" one. I realized this was the case because it was the only one with an INTERESTING IDEA! (What if Eggman won and what if Tails never met Sonic)

The others are rather boring in comparison. (What if Sonic's friends were greedy pirates?)(What if Sonic's friends were forest ppl fighting over land?)

I kind of feel like there was a better way to explore Knuckles and Amy's character without putting them in such generic locations. Like, what if the Echidna Tribe didnt get wiped out and the protection of the Master Emerald didnt soley depend on Knuckles. How would that change Knuckles and what would the Echidna Tribe be like?

Or what if Amy wasnt just some ordinary girl determined to prove herself to the world, but rather a really important noble/royal? Would she feel like she has to be less outgoing and direct because people have such high standards for her?

Or what if Sonic was evil or something? I mean, it sounds silly but we gotta remember that Sonic doesn't consider himself a hero, he just fights what he believes in. It just so happens that his beliefs and aligned with goodness. What if there was a Sonic whose beliefs were a bit more on the bad side? It must also be said that every one of Sonic's friends are the way they are partly because of Sonic, so it would be cool to see what would change about them if them met a bad version of Sonic.

I acknowledge that "Protagonist having an alternate, bad version of them" is a tired trope and im pretty sure the Sonic series has done it before. However, this is a tired trope I will never get tired of. Somehow it just makes me appreciate the protagonist more. Besides, I doubt the kids watching Sonic Prime would also happen to be reading Archie. They could get away with it.

I also like this idea because it focuses on one character per universe. Since the Shatterverses have ALL of Sonic's friends in each one, it causes some characters to be rather underdeveloped. Like does anybody feel invested in any of the forest versions besides Amy? Or any of the pirate versions besides Knuckles?

I also just dont like how Sonic is portrayed in this show, which kind of confused me for a moment because he kind of acts like movie Sonic, which I love. Then it hit me I like Movie Sonic because he is his own thing. He's just a kid who's figuring how to be a hero and be a team player for the first time, so when he doesn't listen to Tails, it's believable. Hes been alone most of his life.

Meanwhile, Im supposed to believe that Prime Sonic is the same Sonic from Adventure, 06, the storybook series, and Sonic fronteirs. He knows how to work with his team. He knows how smart Tails is. So it makes no sense for Sonic to ignore Tails warning. Not to mention how he acts shocked that his friends dont remember him after going to each cyberspace and is over trusting of Nine when there are clear red flags.

I dont get why they do this. They make a sonic universe that would do JUST fine if it was it's own seperate thing and then make it canon. They did it with IDW. They did it with Boom. They did it with Prime. LIKE STOP! NOT EVERYTHING SHOULD BE CANON!

Okay the rest of my points will be short. This post is too long.

I dont really like how Amy is portrayed in this show either. Shes less bubbly and looks more sick of Sonic then in love with him (Its Prime Sonic tho so I dont blame her)

They introduce this new prism form that's never really brought up after it's debute. Toss that into the bucket of missed oppertunities.

Shadow is arguably the best part of prime (along with Nine). Im sure everyone was excited to see Sonic and Shadow team up, only to be disappointed it wasn't really going to be like that in season 2.

The ending fight is way too repetitive. Could have just been wrapped up in one episode, MAYBE 2.

I would replace Rouge with Cream. I like Rouge it just doesn't make sense for her to be on Sonic's team.

Big is ugly af compared to his cuter game counterpart. Yes im being that petty

No Silver. Not much of a critique of the show. Ik they're just trying to put the popular characters in for marketing reasons but how is my guy supposed to raise up in the ranks if you keep him on the bench? Especially since his whole thing is messing with time travel. Ik its not the same thing, but I wouldn't mind Silver replacing Shadow in the story somewhat since the shatterspaces might have messed up the future. (Im also getting Shadow fatigue. Not the shows fault. Just a lot of Shadow lately)

Okay. That's my rant. Sorry I sounded like a negative Nancy. I do like some things about prime. (Animation, Chaos Sonic, fight scenes, Shadow and Nine, some Sonamy moments) I just wanted to rant on how to make it better. Bye!

Ill never get people who accuse Ragatha of being a bad person just because she slipped up a bit when talking to Jax. The guys has been an ass to everyone since the moment we met him. It's not crazy to think that one day someone says something mean back to him. She apologized for it later on in the episode too so what's the problem?

This test animation makes me so hyped for the next Sonic game in terms of animation. This is, of course, a test animation, so the animation isn't fully polished for public viewing, but it shows great promise. ESPECIALLY from the time he lands to the end. The dynamic camera! The cool posing! The squash and stretch! The swirling he does when he trips! It's so good!

Oh what a shocker. The main ship that's officially cannon in the story is getting some attention. Whatever shall we do!

This is probably the first time they have made N and Uzi actually feel like a damn couple in the marketing. If you feel like you can't handle actual faffectionate Nuzi for ONE MERCH AD then maybe it is time for you to go.

I’m actually surprised that people are hating on Nuzi because of the new ad. So many people saying that Nuzi is always the focus of Glitch’s MD ads but this is the first time Glitch has acknowledged N and Uzi being a couple, they’re usually just goofing off in the merch ads

Anyways hoping for more couple Nuzi soon Glitch need that 24 hour hot sloppy high quality animated make out scene to happen 😍

Talking about how Sonamy should be handled in Sonic Movie 4 for WAY too long

Not going to be going really deep into thing, just a girl explaining what dynamic she would and would not want to see for these two dorks.

First of all, to all those people who expect there to be NO romance to be in Sonic 4, I'm just going to go out and say it. You're going to be disappointed.

Like, come on, AMY is in the mix. Her whole thing is romance. And considering how the Sonic movies are family movies, it seems pretty obvious that there might be something going on between the two in the movie.

That being said I also don't want the movie to end with them getting together. I think the whole fun of Sonamy is the "will they, won't they" thing they have going on. Besides, Sonic was never really a romance heavy series. (And also if Sonamy ever DID become Canon in the movies, non-sonamy shippers and the Fandom in general would go down in flames.)

I think a good way to portray them will be like how Mareach was portrayed in the Mario movie. They have their romantic moments in the movie but in the end, they're still just friends.

Anyways enough of that. Let's talk about a dynamic Sonamy fans are hoping to see in movie 4.

Reverse Sonamy.

Ill be honest, I really hope they don't do this. It's cute in fan material but you really have to make the characters ooc for it to work. The only official Sonic media that I can think of that has this trope is...

Sonic Prime.

I mean think about it. The way he looks at her variants, the talk with Thorn, at the end when he calls her "Sweet Amy". I mean, look at these screenshot and tell me he isn't slightly into her.

Contrast that to Amy in Prime, who seems more annoyed with him then in love. Usually Amy makes her love for Sonic quite obvious, but in this show, her crush on him isn't really reference. Sure there are moments where she cares for him, but it can easily be written off as her seeing him as a friend.

and honestly, I dislike Sonic prime because of how bad the mischatacterization is. I'm supposed to believe that Prime Sonic and Game Sonic are the same guy, but Prime Sonic is way too dumb, naive, and childish for my taste. And Amy just feels like a whole new girl honestly. I'd appreciate it if they kept her bubbly, romantic nature.

So if I don't like reverse Sonamy, what should they do instead?

Well I think that a dynamic where Amy is in love with Sonic friend zones her like the games could still work out. Like Amy starts falling in love with Sonic and flirts with him, but he's completely oblivious to her feelings (and perhaps to his own) and thinks she's just being nice.

It would honestly make sense for Movie Sonic to not understand the difference between familial/platonic feelings and the romantic feelings he has with Amy. He never felt that way for anyone and probably doesn't think about romance often.

They could also do what Sonic Boom did and make it a mutual pining thing. I want these two dorks flirt and fail miserably! I want Amy to hype Sonic up, even when he makes a dumb joke or reference. They would be so in sync.

Idk how to end my rants.
