Yes I decided to add a label this time

As seen in the drawing, this is Choline, Caramel's sister!

Choline is one of the two main bosses in Waterfall. She is good natured and, for the most part, quite calm. She dislikes harming anyone, even humans, however is more inclined to it due to The Tradegy. She's the only one stopping her girlfriend from just straight up murdering you as soon as she saw you.

Most of her lore was explained through Caramel's post (right before Frisk's sprites). To sum it up, she left 3 years ago, when she turned 18, because her mother is...quite old fashioned.

Note, in monster society, queer and trans people are treated as normal monsters. No difference in treatment. Since the humans were a bit...odd...about it (in this AU the monsters were sealed away in the 1700s and they had to wait til 181X for Tilui to fall, then about 100 years for each human after), and monsters wanted to distance themselves as much as possible, they changed beliefs completely. Now the reason is forgotten since y'know, about 800 years passed, but yeah. Some monsters are narcissistic and believe that, since they aren't a specific thing, anyone who is is inferior or worst. That's basically Choline's mom's deal.

She's panromantic asexual (though she only says pansexual or pan to make it simple) and goes by she/they pronouns, but prefers she/her slightly more! Also cis female.

Next up is her girlfriend, a native Waterfall resident! Her design is gonna be so hard to draw lol

Made the basic sprites for Frisk =) also change of plans, not spriting Chara since I have other plans. I also made all of the Ruins enemies and I have an idea to remix the Ruins, like making a side part of it. I think I'm going to flesh out most of the Ruins stuff first before moving onto Snowdin and Waterfall. All I really need is the sprites for the Ruins enemies (already have their designs, as said above, I just need to make them into sprites) and a small illustration of the new part of the Ruins.

Also, should I edit Frisk's face to be a smile? The neutral expression looked pretty okay and I feel like someone who fell to their (almost) death probably wouldn't be smiling but eh, any random person who finds this would have the final say

Finally got the first monster in =)

This is Caramel! He's a resident of Snowdin who takes the place of Sans and Papyrus.

Caramel is a bunny monster who has a...questionable...home life. He has a sibling, but she left for Waterfall due to the treatment from her mother. She's next in line.

Caramel's mother (Caraline) has been pressuring Caramel to do something with his life, so he's been making defenses against humans. Most of it includes dangerous puzzles that would cause death if failed. Some of it is just barricades and random cages and the like.

He's also a trans man! This is part of what causes the contention with him and his mother since, despite her being an atheist and having no real reason to dislike gay or trans individuals. He has almost no friends due to being homeschooled and, until two years ago, never being allowed to go out without his mom going with him.

Just because, I also gave him minor ADHD/ADD. Because of this, if I suddenly get really good at coding and make a fangame, I'd make it a reoccurring joke that he would constantly be forgetting basic things (forgetting a key part of a puzzle, forgetting the rules of another, getting lost with Frisk in the forest by forgetting the way back, etc) and just being so over-excited at Frisk's appearance (in the neutral/pacifist route) that he's basically just bouncing around the whole time.

And that's basically it! Also he has a feminine appearance since, due to his mom, he has to mask his masculinity a bit. The only reason he ended up with short hair is because he singed his hair while making a puzzle so his mom begrudgingly agreed to cut the burnt parts off.

I might sprite him, Chara, Tilui, and Frisk sometime soon but idk for sure. Might even do it before I make his sibling (Choline) but that's not a guarantee.

holy cow this actually looks good

This is the first OC (and last human) in my Bloodtale AU. All the rest will be monsters (and some will be the ones from the original game, yes they're getting a redesign too, despite not having too much of a role compared to the original. Unless they're dead.) This lil individual has a ton of lore and is heavily connected to Chara and Frisk. I mean, she's literally Chara's mom.

Anyways uh basically she was the first human to fall into the Underground. Since no anti-human laws were in place, she was able to live there peacefully...for a while. LONG PARAGRAPHS OF LORE TIME!

She was adopted by a different monster family than the Dreemurrs, yet knew them very well. Eventually she and Asriel started dating after a few years, which many monsters didn't like but put up with it, as it's the prince they're talking about.

Eventually, they had a child. A half human half monster hybrid. An elf. It's been years since one was seen and the knowledge of them was forgotten. They didn't know their child had magic until...

Once the child reached the age of nine, they learned of their magic. They refused to show anyone, acting as if they were a regular human. One day, while they were practicing, their grandmother walked into the room. The child knew nobody could know of their ability, so they killed her. Since she was a boss monster, her soul lingered long enough for the child to take it. The child suddenly felt a sort of high. Was it the joy of killing or the soul? Perhaps it was both. The child left told their mother that their grandmother turned to dust right in front of them. But the mom saw. She saw the red knife go straight through her mother in law. She tried convincing Asriel, but he could not believe it.

Within the next month, the child secretly did more and more evil things, killing monsters in private. Or so they thought. Their mother saw each and every time but Asriel still did not believe her. Their LOVE rose. Then, they decided they wanted to be the ruler.

Asriel and their mother were cleaning their room when they struck. They first attacked Asriel. He had more defenses. Their mother tried her best to save him, as he tried to defend her and himself, but it was no use. However, Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard, needed the new king for clearance for getting new resources for training, and walked in on the him dusting. She tried protecting the then-queen, but it wasn't much use so she called for backup. The rest of the Royal Guard came very fast and saved the queen, but the child escaped.

The queen was very damaged, mentally and physically. She knew it was coming but she was not prepared enough.

Some monsters believed she did it, so she took a few things: her bow, all her arrows, her crown, his crown, and both of their robes, and fled to the Ruins, where she would be safe. The spiders were on her side and so were the Froggits and ghosts, so she knew she'd be safe.

However, she did not immediately realize, but she had her husband's soul. When he died, she was closer, and absorbed it. She now had his magic. His essence within her. She then made a decision, one that he helped influence. She would protect all those who came here, but would also kill those who hurt. One kill would led to another and then the Underground would be wiped out, and she could not let that happen to the people that accepted her, nor the people her husband wanted to protect.

She still worries that her child would come back...but now she's ready. She'll protect her and her people.

Anyways yep. She's the queen of the Underground. And she has PTSD from her own child (this is a joke she doesn't have PTSD, just some anxiety issues and depression. Lots of depression).

Oh yeah never mentioned her name whoops. Well, her name is Tilui, pronounced Til-ooo. And yep. She's technically queen of the Underground.

Questions I assume someone is asking:

"Who took over when Asriel died and she fled?" Asgore is still alive, though he's much weaker so an unnamed monster (idk who yet) accompanies him to protect him. Asriel died weeks before he would've.

"Do many monsters know of her existence?" Nope. Undyne is the only one, as she gave her the idea to flee and told everyone else she passed of her injuries.

"Does Chara know she's alive and that she has Asriel's soul?" Nope, not at all.

"What happens to her since she has a boss monster soul and a human soul?" She gains the magic the soul possesses, the immortality-ish, and the DT of the soul.

"Since Chara is alive, shouldn't she be slowly dying?" They aren't close enough for that tie to work, and since Chara is way older than the 30 needed for the parent to die, so even if they did come back Tilui won't die from it.

Anyways Tilui is cis female and bi with a preference for men =) she's also a very skilled archer

Yay we got Frisk =)

Anyways, as said in Chara's post, they're Chara's grandchild, and no, Chara did not procreate. They made a baby with asexual reproduction because they could. Don't ask me why.

The reason Frisk is so short is because they're only six or seven in this (they're very smart for a six/seven year old. Source: trust me bro)

Their mother was left Chara's locket from the Underground but Frisk's mother died for...reasons...so Frisk got it. Now for the tattoo thingy on the wrist... (this is a long explanation and has a lot of lore stuff jsyk)

Basically, while Underground Chara heard of the Delta Rune prophecy and thought it must be for them. They'd make the Underground go empty one day...but not for reasons expected. They believed the humans had a reason for trapping monsters Underground so they decided they were gonna fulfill the prophecy...by killing the whole Underground. They had to flee and so they wanted their child to take after it but since Frisk's mother (idk what to call them, Frara? Chisk? Idk, but they look like the cursed thing that you get when merging Chara and Frisk's sprites from the original game) died, it's now Frisk's mission and to remind them, Chara basically just branded them with the Delta Rune. Yes, branding, Chara is just a wee bit evil in this AU (I'm a firm Chara supporter in the original game but this AU has the fanon Chara lol) to say the least.

This Frisk is enby and goes by they/them, similar to the original game.

The next one will be the first OC since Sans, Papyrus, and the rest of them reside in different parts of the Underground or, in Toriel's case, are dead. Undyne and Alphys will still exist though and have a minor role on the lore and stuff, mainly as support for lore but probably never seen but might make their redesign.

Fun fact: they're an elf too. For those who didn't see Chara's post, elves are what happens when a human and monster has a child (or an elf and a monster or elf have a child. Or if a child just pops into existence from an elf like what happened with Frisk and their mother) and have some DT and limited magic. They have lighter versions of human souls unless they're really lucky and end up with a rare soul condition where they produce much more DT than they should (which Undyne has in my AU). Since elves aren't made of magic like monsters, they only get stronger magic and more durability/HP (this Frisk has 30 HP on LOVE 1 BUT more monsters are combat trained so they're stronger to even it out)

Frisk gains more spells when increasing the LOVE or love stat (which are different and deserve their own post, but LOVE is still Levels of Violence but love is levels of empathy [LOVE skips the E so love skips the v] and love is gained from sparing but LOVE is gained the noemal way) and start with a healing one (heals 5 HP) that has complex needs that also needs its own post but yeah. Chara's main magic is summoning very powerful knives (aka the Real Knife from the geno route but magicified)

Anyways, just as a heads up, the next character is a human BUT they are the last one, unless I make designs of the previous humans.

Made a random AU (Bloodtale since idk a better name tbh) and drew my first character for it, Chara! This Chara is a lil bit evil. Just generalize them as fanon Chara, y'know, the manipulative evil murderer thing. That's all accurate for this lil elf

This Chara isn't human, they're a mix between a human and monster, which is why they're an elf. In my AU, if a human and a monster have a child, they come out as an elf with limited magic and limited DT, but Chara has the same DT as normal, just magic knives too.

They also follow the canon of using They/Them but they're Agender because yes

Fun fact: they're Frisk's grandparent in the AU. Frisk doesn't have a second grandparent though because Chara just spawned Frisk's mother out of thin air (asexual reproduction since Im saying that Frisk and Chara just were born without a gender and are doing all good. like biological. if someone wants i can elaborate on it for funsies) because yes. Why am I saying because yes a lot? I don't freaking know =')

Anyway uh Chara has a TON of lore and so does Frisk so uh yeah, ima just save that for another time though because it's really ✨️complicated✨️ all you really need to know is that they still are in the Royal family and could become the monarch of the Underground if their mother, Asriel, and Asgore were to die (Toriel is already dead uhhhh long story short Chara murdered them ANYWAYS)
