Hello, and welcome to Origins Sweaterduo Weekly! I’m Taiyo, he/they/it, and I run this blog! I’m severely deprived of o!Sweaterduo content and it makes me sad, so this blog is meant to fix that!

Here’s a rundown of what this blog is about: Each week on Sunday, I will post a prompt! The prompt might be a single word, a phrase, or an au/combination of aus! Your goal is to make something based on that prompt that centers on o!sweaterduo, aka Fragrance Man (or o!Schlatt) and o!Wilbur. It can be anything you want, art, a comic, an animation, some sort of sculpture, moodboards, writing, etc. Literally anything! It can be platonic or romantic, though some prompts may lean on the romantic side. You don’t have to do every prompt there is, nor do you have to finish the prompt by the end of the week!

In order to get your post reblogged here, you just have to do two things! One, tag this blog, and two, tag it as ‘#origins sweaterduo weekly’! Additionally, there will be a collection on AO3, linked [here], so if you post a fic on there, feel free to add it to the collection!

Okay, so it’s been a few days since the last update, in which some uh.. problems, occurred. So here’s a little status report!

Philza is recovering, from what my sister has told me. His burns aren’t too bad, so he’ll be able to heal without any issues as long as the doctors instructions are followed, but he might have some scars from it.

We’ve discovered that Jack is a mixed breed with at least some Origins traits, which is how he burnt Philza like that. Jack is also really upset about what happened, so whatever it was that they were saying in that argument obviously wasn’t great. I mean, that’s a given, but still.

The overall group is holding up okay, though they’ve been a lot more clingy than they were before. I’m thinking about bringing them to a vet to see if they’d have any advice for me, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea, since all the encounters with people outside of the group have been pretty negative so far.

That’s all I have for a status report right now! I’ll keep you guys updated, though.

Transcript of Philza and L’Manberg Meeting /rp

[Taiyo]: Is this... yep, yeah, that’s on, or the blinky lights means I’m about to get exploded, one of the two! I think... [shuffling sounds, clears throat] Hello Tumble Peoples! Hi! I’m a recording! It is currently.. hold on.. about five minutes before my sister arrives with Philza! And I’ve decided to record the interaction so that I’ll have a more accurate record of how things go down, but I also don’t wanna show my face and neither does my sister, so we’ve agreed on using audio instead! 

[sounds of multiple MCYTs chittering curiously, plus many small footsteps coming closer]

[Taiyo]: Say hi to the Tumblr people, you guys! 

[more chittering, some of it sounds very enthusiastic]

[Taiyo]: [giggles] Yes Tommy, you’re very amazing on camera, I know. This isn’t a camera though, it’s a voice rec- heY-

[muffled sounds, more chittering that sounds a bit like evil giggles]

[Taiyo]: Tommy, stop- I know you like stealing but you can’t have this right now!

[hissing, a different MCYT starts chittering at Tommy, muffled sounds continue]

[Taiyo]: No need to get all hissy, I didn’t even touch you- Wilbur please don’t encourage him.

[another MCYT starts chittering along with Wilbur, and Tommy makes a proud chirp]

[Taiyo, fondly]: Oh my gods, you guys’ll be the death of me...

[muffled sounds stop, there’s a slight thud as Taiyo places the recorder on the table]

[Taiyo]: Okay, are you guys ready to meet up with Phil again?

[nervous chittering from various MCYTs]

[Taiyo]: I know, I know, it’s pretty scary. Don’t worry, though, I won’t let him hurt you guys this time. He won’t be able to actually touch you, even. I promise

[nervous chittering continues, interrupted by knocking]

[Taiyo]: OH! She’s here early!

[Footsteps, door opening]

[Taiyo]: Come on in, you can put Phil’s carrier down here if you want.

[Sister]: Okay, cool, thank you. Again, I’m really sorry about what happened last time-

[Taiyo]: It’s fine, I’ve told you! You didn’t know I had any new MCYTs, and I didn’t know Phil and Techno would react so badly to them. Speaking off, how’re they doing? I know that it can be hard getting them separated sometimes.

[Philza chirps happily, which is responded to by various chitters]

[Sister]: [chuckles] Well, it wasn’t too this time, the second I told them what was going on they agreed to it. Techno does NOT wanna come back here, so it seems. Phil only agreed to see Wilbur again

[Taiyo]: I’ll bet.. Okay, so here’s the deal you guys. Phil’s gonna stay inside the carrier until we can be sure that you all will get along, and as long as nothing goes wrong they’ll be leaving in an hour or two.

[More chittering and chirping back and forth, ignoring Taiyo]

[Sister]: Is it just me, or does Wilbur sound really aggressive?

[Taiyo]: Yeah? He’s just being protective, cus the others are nervous. Hey, hey, calm down Wil, it’s okay. It’s just Phil, you remember Phil. He’s not gonna hurt them.

[Angry chittering backed by nervous chittering, Philza chirping in response]

[Sister]: I don’t like this.. Should we get Wilbur away from the group so they can interact without him getting all fighty?

[Taiyo]: I doubt that’ll go well for anyone. That’d just make him more aggressive, if anything.

[Sister]: Maybe if we just let them go about.. whatever this is, they’ll resolve it on their own?

[Taiyo]: That’s the hope, I’m pretty sure,

[Angry chirping, Wilbur’s chitters stop completely]

[Taiyo]; Oh, what the hell did Phil just say to him..

[Sister]: Nothing good..

[Fire crackling, hissing that sounds a lot like a blaze]

[Taiyo]: OH SHIT!! GET THE CARRIER!!

[Sister]: ON IT-

[Philza makes a pained cry]

[Taiyo and his sister shouting various curses, loud chittering from all the MCYTs]

So uhh... Jack has fire powers apparently! Phil is.. uh.. relatively okay? We reacted fast enough that he didn’t get burnt too badly, but he’s going to the vet to treat the burns still. This did not go according to plan at all..

My sister is coming over with her Phil tomorrow, and I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no way I’m separating Wilbur from the rest of the L’Manbergians without making things worse for them, which I really don’t want to do. From what Lem said I’m thinking that it’s more Techno that I need to be concerned about introducing to my group separately, so I’m hoping that this won’t end up going wrong! My group hasn’t shown any sort of violent tendencies yet, so since Phil won’t be influenced by Techno to act out I’m hoping that I fight won’t break out, but I’ll admit I’m a bit nervous.

Oh, this is silly! It’ll be fine even if they don’t react to each other the best, my sister will be bringing Phil in his carrier and we’ve agreed to keep him in there until we’re sure it’ll be safe, I’m just being anxious.

(DW, the carrier isn’t uncomfortable for Phil to be in! He likes it a lot, from what my sister’s told me. Plus it’ll add a bit of familiarity to the situation for Phil, which should hopefully help.)

Alright, a little update on my L’Manburgians!

As a little catch up, a week or two ago my sister came over for a surprise visit with her Phil and Techno! Unfortunately, they didn’t get along as well as I’d thought, and as soon as we looked away fighting broke out. Luckily, we managed to separate them before too much damage was done, and my sister went home, dejected as she was.

After that I asked Lem for some advice, which I have been doing my best to follow since then. I’ve been giving them hidden spaces and materials to make hideouts around the house, which I won’t be sharing any images of to avoid causing them stress. It seems to be helping, as they’ve all seemed to feel more safe and comfortable here, which is great! They don’t seem to particularly like it when strangers come to the house though, as they tend to run off to hide in one of their bunkers, but that’s not too surprising. I mean, they already were skittish before this, so it doesn’t surprise me to much that a stranger visiting followed directly by an attack on them would make them even more wary of strangers. Though, this does kind of present a slight problem for how we’ll reintroduce them to Phil by himself.

I’ve been talking to my sister about it, and she says that Phil and Techno don’t seem keen on meeting the L’Manburgians from what she can tell based on their behaviours and what not, but they do seem to miss Wilbur, and I know that out of all of them, Wilbur is the least likely to react badly to them since he was used to them beforehand, so we’ve decided to have Phil and Wilbur meet up separately from everyone else so that way we can see how well they react and go from there. I’m not sure how to get him away from the rest of the group without causing a panic, or if that’d even be safe to do considering what happened to them, but it’s our best idea right now. I have some time to come up with something, though, cus she’s not going to be able to come over for a little bit with her work schedule and all.

A pic that I took a little while after I got Ranboo and Tubbo. Tubbo took a while longer to warm up to me and was against being picked up and would intensely watch when I'd hold Ranboo, especially with his past home, but he has since calmed. I believe the low memory of my dsmp breed Ranboo helped them trust me sooner, since they probably forgot everything without memory books (Which he now has!).

I got this pic while looking at him in the corner of my eye, hence why he was happy to stare right at me and my phone. I love his precious eyes, so trusting!

Thank you so much! I'll work on making some hidden, safe spots for them! And I just texted my sister to try to bring over just Phil next time so they can meet separately, so hopefully that'll go better than this visit did.

Hey Lem, its @lmanburgmcytcare again-

Okay, so I have this sister, right? And she has a c!emduo pair that she got around the same time i got my Wilbur. She likes to visit me pretty often, and her emduo like to get out of the house so they tend to come over with her. Normally, thats not really a problem, cus wil gets along with my sisters phil and techno pretty well. But she came over kinda unexpectedly just yesterday, and uh.. it didn't go well.

I thought itd be fine since Wilbur got along well with both the c!emduo and my lmanberg group, so they wouldn’t fight with each other, but the moment that we looked away emduo went after the lmanbergians! Luckily we were able to break it up quickly, so none of them are injured, but my sister was very sad that she had to leave so soon, plus im worried about the effects this will have on all of them! I mean, Wilbur feels very betrayed by this, and im worried that this will make it harder for my lmanbergians to trust outsiders :(

I looked into it a bit, and i found that emduos dont get along with lmanberg groups like mine because when they group up like this, they like to form a social structure that emduos don't really agree with. Any tips to prevent this in the future, or should i just tell my sister that she cant bring her phil and techno over anymore? Also, any idea how to help my lmanbergians cope with the situation?

From what I remember, the L'manbergians (apart from your Wilbur) are already traumatized by whatever made them form the group, my sympathy towards you in their recovery knows no bounds.

In the wild when L'manbergians feel threatened they begin tunneling and building underground bunkers to feel more safe. So provide them places to hide together, hidden pathways that they only know about. A Wilbur's priority will always towards his found family, he knows they are stronger together. Which goes to my next suggestion.

Try introducing the Philza and the Techno seperately, Philza is the safest, he doesn't act on his hostility towards the group without his Techno, Technos however I'm not sure. Towards individuals he'll get along fine, a lone Wilbur or Tommy or even a Tubbo but as a group he feels outnumbered.

OOC MCYT-AS-PETS POST

We all sorta know them as these creechurs that can't speak English beyond their catchphrases and follow their stream personas/rp personalities like instinct instead of logical thought like their irl counterparts but they've always lacked a physical description, which isn't a flaw but a feature that allows many different interpretations of how they could look and I intend to keep it that way. I love all the different interpretations of what the mcyt as pets could look like:

Okay so I did some research, and here's what I believe the breads of my mcyts are!

Tommy is fairly obvious, thanks to the distinctive markings, ears, and tail - he's a Raccooninnit, a very mischievous bread of Tommys! He's a little thief, and he likes to eat mud which isn't great, but that's normal for the breed from what I've found.

Eret, as I've previously said, is a long-haired breed as far as I'm aware! I wasn’t able to find much information on the breed, and most of it seems to be conflicting information, but she seems to be friendly with the other mcyts, which is good.

Fundy is a more fox like breed, which I believe is referred to as an anthropomorphic Fundy? More commonly called a furry, from what I've seen. I believe he is also fairly young, as older Fundys tend to be more bitter towards the world when they're placed in a neglectful situation like what probably happened to these guys.

Wilbur is a mixed breed, as I was informed when I got him from the shelter! He's a mix between the much friendlier pre-smp variety and the Pogtopian variety, which is illegal to breed in my area since they're so much more prone to vilification. He's mostly pre-smp, but I have to take him to the vet fairly often to make sure there aren't any underlying issues developing thanks to his Pogtopian heritage. So far he's been fine, though, and I think having new friends around might help keep it that way!

The last three, I haven’t been able to come to a full conclusion on, but here's what I have so far!

For Tubbo, the pink markings on his face typically indicate either a Manberg, New L’Manberg, or Snowchester breed, depending on his coat markings. However, his coat markings indicate a pre-L'Manberg breed, as Manberg and New L’Manberg breeds have more formal coats, often compared to suits, and Snowchester Tubbos have a much thicker coat to keep warm in cold climates. This leaves an obvious conclusion of him being a mixed breed. However, based on what I already know about these guys, I'm a bit worried that the markings may not be natural. Unfortunately I can't really come to any conclusions without having the vets do tests that Tubbo isn't ready for right now, so I can't be sure of anything.

I believe Niki is also a mixed breed, though I'm not sure which ones. Her hair reminds me of a Syndicate breed, but they tend to be more hostile towards Tommys and Tubbos, and my Niki isn't really like that, though I suppose it could be a result of whatever happened to them to make them group up. I can't figure out what other breeds she may be, though.

Jack is the most confusing to figure out, as I can't really find any information on the different breeds of Jacks. I can tell that he isn't a L’Manburg breed since he doesn't have the uniform, and he isn't a Snowchester breed since his coat is too thin, but that's all I can figure out at the moment. Given his attraction to fire, I might say he's an origins breed, but I'm not really sure if that breed even joins up with L’Manburgian groups, so I can't really tell.

I don’t know how you sleep with seven MCYTS in the house good lord

Haha, yeah, they can be a hassle! Luckily for me, they tend to tire themselves out playing so by the time I go to bed, they're usually asleep. They like to cuddle up when they sleep too, so I don't have to worry too much about one of them being awake when the rest are asleep, which is honestly really cute!

Have your Wilbur and Eret been getting along? I've been reading about my own future Eret and some sources say they don't get along unless the Eret is long-haired breed, which apparently is less prone to backstabbing.

Other sources say only revival breed Wilbur's and long-haired Erets get along, and some say they never get along no matter the breed, so many conflicting sources!

Oh yeah, I've read a bit about that! I was pretty concerned when Wilbur found Eret because of it, but so far, they've been getting along pretty well! There's been some fighting, but it seems to be more play fighting than anything else, especially with how comfortable they seem around each other when they're being calmer.

I think my Eret is from the long-haired breed, so that may have something to do with it, but Wilbur isn't a revival breed so I can't say for sure. Personally, i think it has something to do with a Dream’s involvement since Erets tend to join up with one shortly after a betrayal, and I've yet to see a Dream in the area so I'm hopeful

Oh my, I didn't know that! Poor lil guys, I can't believe that someone would abandon them! I'm glad we found them when we did, I wouldn’t want these guys to get hurt even more than they already were! :(

You ever just take your wilbur for a walk, end up finding a group of stray lmanbergians, and then he decides that they're his now so you have no choice to take them home and now there is a box fort in the middle of your house? Yeah. I have seven mcyts now-

Also @ the ctommy owner with neighbor problems, you should definitely get authorities to deal with the issue, but in terms of petty revenge moving all the furniture an inch to the left is always a good one

Aw I'm glad those guys are safe now, L'manberg breeds only form into a group in response to serious abuse or neglect, your Wilbur was acting on his protective instinct, those guys were probably abandoned by their previous owner/owners.

Hi hi! The name's Taiyo, and I'm a proud owner of some mcyts! At first, it was just me and my Wilbur, who I got for emotional support shortly after moving out, but we recently came across a group of stray L’Manburgians, and Wilbur basically adopted them so now they're staying with us as well, so i figured it'd be a good idea to make this blog, both for care advice and just to show off these cute lil guys!!

Currently, I have Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, Eret, Fundy, Niki, and Jack!
