This isn't really an Outer Banks specific thing, I think we can probably blame Bridgerton for this one! All embargos are way tighter these days because some other shows got A LOT of leaks.

i completely get if you aren’t able to share this, but do you know how long the five episodes total are for obx4, and how long does it take to watch?

The part one episodes are kind of all over the place in this regard, with one closer to forty minutes and one over an hour! I didn't watch all together because I had to take notes, but if you wanted to watch straight through you'd need like 4 hours for Part 1.

Yes, I know some people who have gotten the episodes. But there aren't very many and no one who I believe would be tattling so 🤷🏻‍♀️. I've seen conflicting "spoilers" online, too. So basically, it is madness out there and it is very sad that it has come to this.

Since this is only a tiny sample of the many lovely messages I get every single day, I'm going to go ahead and post it and say hey, this is the reason why I don't really answer all that many asks these days and I especially stay away from Chicago PD ones. I kinda hope it's the same person sending 5 or so a day. I don't think it is, though. And why? Because there was one tweet in my preview about the 200th episode for Chicago PD that said, man, should this episode maybe be about the team instead of just about Kim? If cause and effect seem normal to you, then I don't know what to tell you all. If these messages make you feel big, knock yourself out. I'll continue not answering. You'll get less engagement. I'll still be covering the show and you'll still be hating my opinions, that you apparently cannot stop reading. You're not actually getting rid of me, I'm just not going to engage all that much because... Why would I?

No, I agree, I think S1 is still "better" in that it is more a traditional romance, but they stuck too close to the book in the things they shouldn't have!!! and then in S2 they were like book, is there a book? Infuriating to the extreme.

BUT ANYWAY, I've spent enough time in this industry to learn to read between the lines and I firmly believe the message has been received down in Shondaland. Let us see if I'm correct in that.

As for the spicy stuff, no need to ask for forgiveness here as I am in the same boat. Spicy stuff only works for me if there is a reason for it - I don't read much erotica, because I need a reason for my smut. Porn with feelings is my type of spicy stuff, so to speak. I understand some people might have other preferences, but I want to understand the feelings and I want the characters to have conversations and I want to know that the actions mean something. That makes the scenes much more meaningful to me.

Ofc, for that to work, for me, they have to take time because boy, do I agree with you that Colin has not had enough development. We need some time to figure out who this character truly is and who he can be in the relationship with Penelope before he is in a relationship with Penelope!

I am on record as mostly hating Season 2. And it was painful to hate it as much as I did because I read Bridgerton book 2 after losing my dad and felt so close to Anthony's story that it will always have a special place in my heart. It was HORRIBLE. It wasn't romance. It was a melodramatic facsimile of romance that was only saved by two outstanding leads with tremendous chemistry. So, why am I optimistic? Mostly because everything I see from the people behind Bridgerton leads me to believe they have taken the criticism about Season 2 seriously. We didn't even get a photo shoot with the two leads in Season 2! It's like they forgot Bridgerton was supposed to be a romance.

And ofc, that means we are never going to get what we should have gotten for Kate and Anthony, which absolutely sucks, but I hope it means the other couples will get their due. Big brother Anthony suffered so everyone could get their due, so to speak.

I think the most important thing the season has to do is show us who Colin is. Seasons 1 and 2 have kinda neglected that, perhaps on purpose. We know who Penelope is. We know two sides of Penelope, actually. But we don't know too much of Colin. In fact, does Colin know who Colin is? That's the question the show has to answer. I also feel like a LOT is going on, but if we distill it down to the essentials, it's the matter of who Colin is, Polin and Penelope and Eloise. That's what the season hinges on. If the show truly learned it's lesson, they got more than enough time to do these things right.

Luke newton said he wouldn’t watch Ep 2 with his parents so that means Pen and Colin will already be having a love scene I think that’s way too fast so I hope it’s just Colin’s dream and they wait until episode 4 or 5 at least before they finally sleep together

I don't think there's any way in hell Colin and Penelope are having a love scene in two, so that leads me to believe he's naked for other reasons. I'm not sure they can even set up a convincing dream scenario, but it could be a "he has a fantasy that starts to clue him in to the fact that his feelings for Penelope are not exactly platonic" kinda thing. It still feels kinda fast, but I could see it!

But Jonathan Bailey got his share of naked scenes even before Kate came into the picture, so there is that.

because you are hailey stan who never criticizes her for anything ever. you stupidly complained about 200th episode being kim centric even though show has been character centric since s5 and this isnt 1st time a tv show has does character centric episode. but your problem wasnt it was character centric it was that it wasnt centered around characters you like. hailey and or jay if he was still on show. if the 200 was about them you would not have complained. same you would not have complained if 11x03 was hailey episode.

I complain about character centric episodes no matter who they center on! I also don't always write the tweets you people love to blame me for, but hey I also don't really care about what strangers on the internet think of me, so...

Btw, I also didn't criticize Kim in my 11x03 review, just the writing. I love Kim. This is a fun distinction.
