Dechanique organized an awesome/silly bird-themed zine called Birb Zine. Here’s my piece - a loving tribute to the cacophonous imitations of your friendly neighborhood mockingbird.
There are a bunch of other awesome artists/pieces in the zine, including one of my MIAD besties, Chelsey Schmitz! Copies are for sale from Dechanique.

I finally caught up to the end of Hannibal and I just keep thinking about how well they tied things up! Also, that ending song, whoah.
So I’d really love to do moody, serious fan art in tribute, but that’s not how I work, so uhhhh..

My first-ever zine is now available in my store!
It’s just a little collection of drawings about how I handle myself when I’m Experiencing Feelings, which is.. common.
I’m very happy with how it turned out, and I learned a lot putting it together. Cannot wait to put together another one!

Trying to shake things up a little bit- feeling like I’ve been pigeonholing myself. I find that colored pencils are a great way to get myself to use color combinations I wouldn’t otherwise. Also really falling for the textures they create.
Feeling very inspired by Molly Mendoza and Pam Wishbow lately!

3 announcements in 1!
1. I have new cuttlefish magnets available in my shop! They’re 1 inch button-style magnets that come in sets of 3 or 6. Strong enough to hold up a bit of paper, adorable enough to use on their own. (Huge thanks to my buddy Chelsey for helping me figure out how to make these. She has some cute magnets, too!)
2. These illustrations are part of my Cuttlefish Feelings stickerpack for the Sticker Keyboard app, StiKey! These stickers can be used with any messaging app on the iPhone, including Facebook Messenger. :)
3. I have also made the image of the full set available as a print on INPRNT, for you cuttlefish art lovers out there. :)

For the first time ever, I have a collection of original paintings up for sale!
When I feel bummed, I draw badass ladies until I feel better. I’ve amassed a small collection of such ladies now, but they languish in a drawer, unappreciated. I think they would do better hanging up on someone’s wall, helping THEM feel badass, too!
Check them out on my brand new Storenvy shop - I’ll be adding more goodies to it soon!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a copy of Manga Studio 5 from the #kidlitart twitter chat. (which I highly recommend!) I finally got to spend some quality time with it today, playing with inking a sketch I’d done previously. It is absolutely unbelievable how much more fun inking is in Manga Studio than Photoshop! Lines actually go where I want them, it’s spooky!
Anyway. It was fun. Used brushes from Frenden, also feeling very inspired by Pam Wishbow while both sketching & inking.

My latest sticker pack for imo has been released!
I was asked to come up with a love-themed pack, and in my research, I came across the factoid that snails fire “love darts” as part of the mating process. (Apparently they, ah, assist fertility?) There are theories that this behavior was part of the origin of the Cupid myth, weirdly enough.
That was enough for me to decide that making some lovey-dovey snails would be an interesting route to take.

My piece for Light Grey Art Lab’s awesome Boss Rush show!
I wanted to to a tribute to Tron Bonne from Megaman Legends. The Megaman Legends games had a huge influence on me in my formative years. Enough so that I actually (still) have a notebook from about 6th grade with a section devoted to Megaman Legends fan characters. There’s something about the color palette, chunky but unique designs, and the fun fantasy/sciencey world that just.. got into my mind and stayed.
Prints are available from the Light Grey Art Lab shop, and of course, check out all the other incredible work!!

It's Witchsona Week!!
So, I thought about this a bit, and as much as I'd like to pretend that my witchsona would be hip and leggy and lovely... inside, I'm really just a batty old hag who likes to bake. SO. That's what I drew! I EMBRACE IT.
