hello!!! i've seen that you're making or playing an elden ring ttrpg campaign! can you talk a bit about it? what's the story like? what system are you using? :D

hi! yeah I've been running a little campaign in my friend @dragontamer75's in-progress system called The Dragon's Table (sorry for the twitter link, its new method of announcements and updates is still up in the air atm) where I sort of took out all the weapons and some of the skills and replaced them with elden ring stuff :) it's a little messy still admittedly but it's been fun to work on and I'm trying to keep my stuff robust so I can maybe use it again in the future

I can't say the whole story because the players don't know it all yet but! I asked them to each bring someone who's a minion of a demigod or some other powerful leader figure, who all have heard rumors of some kind of power that could rival that of their bosses. so either they want it or they want to blow it up, presumably. they showed up to meet the guy who the rumor came from to find that aelfric had gotten there first and gotten the information and then killed the informant, so everyone was just going to have to be nice to him (and each other) so he'd lead them to wherever this big cool power is, because he's kind of weak and needs big strong knights and stuff to stand in front of him. hankin also showed up late but he's along for the ride too (this system was originally based off fire emblem so the dm provides some npcs to fill out the party for combat purposes)

so far they've fought a runebear, gone through a mine full of glintstone sorcerers, gotten run over a little bit by one of those giant orbs from nokstella, got attacked by and later made some kind of deal with xanthe, and now they're in a new dark cave that they will learn the contents of next time

I will admit it's not super strong on story since it was mostly an effort to have fun with the setting of this game we all enjoy, but I'm having fun throwing things at the players and I hope they're having fun as well :) I do stream it so anyone curious could watch if they wanted (3:30 pst on mondays) but we will probably not be playing again until june 2 if not later, just as a heads up, as I am getting surgery and need a little recovery time lol

empire au edwin reference. he got adopted by dark mages and his whimsy crushed early so he fits right in in the evil empire that feeds people blood to turn them into beasts

the party finally got to meet the last npc I had in my pocket for them, her name is xanthe and she only attacked them a little bit
