The expression on the chairman’s face when got a full dose of the real Ha-ri, lol. Saying something shocking and being an excellent employee is apparently the key to winning to the hearts of the men in the Kang family 😆 Even Sung-hoon was impressed with her work ethic when she memorized the slide show he put together! There’s something oddly endearing about her. I can’t wait to see Chairman Kong appreciate just how awesome she is!
Shin Ha Ri is the same woman who prepared a resignation letter and a presentation of her excellent employee record to give a man who was planning on proposing to her
AND told the Chairman of her company she won't resign because she has always been an exemplary employee and the only crime she has done is fall in love with his grandson.
She might not know her true self worth but damn all if she does not tell you how good at her job she is.

There are so many good scenes in episode 10, but I just love when Ha-min catches Ha-ri with Tae-moo.
“Is that my shirt? Are you dating some jobless bum? Is he broke? Hey, what kind of punk are you? Why are you with my sister?”
TBH, I didn’t really like Ha-min up til this point, but I just love that he jumps to Ha-ri’s defense that she deserves better. I also love how Ha-ri is so invested in jumping to Tae-moo’s defense that she accidentally blurts out:
“Hey, watch your mouth! This is the president.”
“President? What president?”
Tea-moo is so cute the way he looks at Ha-ri and sighs, and his posture relaxes, relieved to finally be able to tell someone that he’s dating her. And then…
“But of all people, why date my sister? Does she have something on you? Is she blackmailing you?” 😂 🤣😂 And Ha-ri’s glare gets the Archaeopteryx sound effect!!! They use it twice in this scene and it really makes my giddier than it should. And while I’m still rolling around in a giggle fit over Ha-min, Tae-moo swoops in and steals my heart…
“I don’t mind being blackmailed if I can stay with her forever.”
I just melted into a puddle, y’all.
And then Ha-min calls him “brother-in-law” and Tae-moo’s bedazzlement has me back on the floor laughing. I will shower you with riches for such compliments! 😂 And Ha-ri’s like No.
Oh my gosh, I love how practical she is and and how much she is not intimidated or impressed by Tae-moo’s wealth.
This was super rambling, but I just can’t get over this scene. As much as I love the sweet romance in this show, I can’t remember the last time I watched something that made me laugh this much.

What I really liked about this episode (aside from the Ha Ri/Tae Moo kiss) was how much it highlighted the insecurities that Ha Ri has. Throughout the show, Ha Ri has generally presented as someone who is sure and confident in herself, particularly when it comes to food. Sure, there are times where we see her having doubts, but it doesn’t really last long and she’s back to her confident and quirky self.
But Ha Ri does have a lot of insecurities. She grew up in a family that was working all the time, so that’s obviously a potential source of insecurity right there. And then it doesn’t help that she’s in a friend group where people constantly put her down. You have Yoo Ra and her posse who do it in a more direct way (You need to lower your standards, etc) and then you have it come more subtly from Min Woo (You’re too naive when it comes to guys so this one might be playing you). Not to mention there was 7 years of that unrequited crush, which I’m sure left Ha Ri often wondering what was wrong with her that Min Woo couldn’t like her in the same way that she liked him.
So, with all of these insecurities, of course Ha Ri wouldn’t think that she’s good enough for Tae Moo, even though she obviously has feelings for him. And that’s reflected in the texts from Yoo Ra’s friends, the fact that Min Woo implies that Ha Ri isn’t goo enough for Tae Moo, and even inadvertently from her team members’ comments.
But none of that stuff matters to Tae Moo. He’s seen so many different sides of Ha Ri and he appreciates every single one of them. And even though I don’t necessarily like Tae Moo saying he’ll keep asking Ha Ri out until she has feelings for him (I do wonder how accurate that translation is and if things got missed), I think that what he’s ultimately trying to get at is that he doesn’t care about what people may think about the two of them being together because he has feelings for her and loves every aspect of her personality and identity. And I’m sure that as the relationship develops, Ha Ri will come to appreciate how much Tae Moo accepted her for her whole self in ways that not too many people in her life have.

When are the additional shoots taking place?
You said that you would wait until Ms. Shin contacted you first.
Don't worry. I’m just going to catch a glimpse of her quietly.

Spend the day with me today to pay back the kiss. You said I shouldn’t make a commoner pay for an expensive meal. So I’ll buy your time instead.

Yay! I giggled so much during this scene! There were so many fantastic scenes in this ep, but it was actually Grandpa’s outrage that Tae-moo would cheat on Geum-hui that really got me. That’s right! You let him have it, Grandpa!!!!
I know there's a LOT to unpack in episode 7 of Business Proposal (so much), and a lot to scream about, but this scene with Grandpa Giggles slayed me. The ducking and weaving, the music, the dramatic slow motion at the right moment, and somehow I still didn't see the "grasping cane between palms" coming? A+ genius, thank you
Tumblr media
Bonus points for Cha Sung-Hoon slowly hanging his head in the distant background when Kang Tae-Mu says he broke up with "Shin Geum-hui." I see you about ready to give up on life, friend.
