Nothing quite like waking up in the middle of the night somehow still sad that you’ve never been to club nationals and never will and have never played even close to that level, despite the fact that a large majority of your college teammates have and when you graduated college everyone thought you would play at that level too and then despite your best efforts you’ve just never been anywhere close

Just joined my local spring league, so now I’m doing three nights a row for a total of 9 hours of ultimate per week. Cardio is gonna go up but my willingness to wake up on Thursday will 100% tank.

It’s gonna feel weird playing without my college teammates, but it’s necessary and a handful of us are carpooling anyways. There’s the off chance we end up on the same team as well, but it’ll be something if we do. I think the three of us carpooling have some strong chemistry so we really could dominate on the same team.

I’m excited to get to learn new plays, meet new people.

We spent the weekend in Louisville KY for my son’s Ultimate tournament, and we took our geriatric girl with us since we didn’t have a dog sitting option. It was definitely a challenge for her and us. She’s always loved to road trip with us, so I’m really glad she got to go because it was probably her last family trip. 🥹💔
