Lana nods in the affirmative, she had been complimented. Her heart could barely take it so she turned swiftly and began to follow the path. She tracked their enemies huge signs and was still careful enough to keep an eye and ear out for more. She even kept her guard up when it came to anything attacking Miss Gloria.

Those fools wouldn’t know what hit them when they found them. She was sure to be silent in her hunting, as a Courser she was quite proud of her talents. Showing off a bit meant being successful in all the things she was trying to do. Hunting down the raider camp, keeping the Director and herself safe, efficiently taking down the enemy, it was all a part of who she was.

Finally, she had found the camp. There seemed to be a handful more left. She could handle them easily. Even Miss Gloria could handle them, but she didn’t have to with L4-34 around.

L4 stopped a bit away from the camp. “There are a few of them left, Miss. Would you like information from them before I wipe them out?”

She moved along behind the courser, as at ease as if she were taking an afternoon stroll.  Silent to be sure, but deceptively relaxed. 

Blue eyes flickered over the ruined buildings as she walked, keeping an eye out for any movement. One of her hands slipped into her coat pocket idly, checking the pistol she kept  within reach. After all, She was used to dealing with clothing without functional pockets. Might as well make the ones that she had useful.

Gloria watched the courser’s back as she walked. A good weapon in the right hands made a lot of difference. And of course, she considered her own hands the right ones. 

“Keep two. They needn’t be fully intact, but... well, it’s more impact if they are, if they decide to be stubborn.” A smile like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth curved her lips. It was messy business, but she did feel the need to take care of what was now hers.

Lana felt as though she had done well and she felt proud. The fact that she was good at being a Courser was always something she felt proud of. But today she had been useful to the Director and got the chance to show off a bit. She was going to use this chance, not only because she loved showing off but because the Director deserved an efficient Courser.

With a frown of concentration, L4-34 turned slowly to survey the area. There, tracks through the grass. “It looks as though they came from this direction.” She turns to Miss Gloria and gestures toward the path. “Perhaps we could follow it to see where it leads?” 

She hoped there would be others. That way she could, as the Director had put it, clean house. It was irritating that these weaklings felt they could challenge the Institute so openly. They were practically begging to be wiped out.

She still tended to do some work topside when she found the chance. It was good for public relations with the... communities in the Commonwealth if she was seen occasionally taking a personal interest in helping ensure that the Commonwealth was a safer place over all. 

Besides, with such relations, it let the Institute do more of their work unhindered if people saw them as a benevolent force. The irresponsible actions of her son (or those who had worked under him, at the very least) in some areas nonwithstanding.

She dusted off her hands as she straightened and twisted a finger through one blond curl that had fallen from where she’d pinned it back. “Astute observation, L4. I propose we follow exactly that course of action and see where it leads us.”

“After all, if they would come after us, they may have a history of attacking patrols. And that just won’t stand.”

“As you wish, Director.” L4-34 takes a step forward and becomes a blur of uniform and dangerous hands. The enemies in question don’t last very long against her. They may be three in number but she is an Institute Courser, she dispatches them quickly and efficiently. But not without a little fun, she could have been faster but she wanted to enjoy it. The Director never stopped her from enjoying what she did.

In fact, it was as if the woman saw how fun it all was and used Lana accordingly. This mere thought made her lips twitch as she finished off her opponents. She turned to Gloria, smirking slightly with a gleam in her eye. “Where to now, Miss?”

She watched impassively as the courser dismantled the attackers quickly, though perhaps not efficient as possible, she had found that L4 had a certain amount of ... flair with which she completed such tasks at times. It made such work rather satisfying.

With the last sick crunching noise, something like amusement flickered across her face for a moment.With a slight hum, she moved forward and carefully rifled through their pockets for any hint as to where they’d come from. “It’s a shame we don’t know where their main camp is. Being willing to attack Institute personnel and property unprovoked. seems quite enough a reason to do a little housecleaning. ”
