Wonderful field trip day with The Galloway School! This group of students came over from Roswell to connect to nature and learn about the 18 species of Native Fish in Little Rose Creek with experts from North American Native Fish Assc Michael Wolfe and Camm Swift.
We also provided a Geology Walk with retired UGA professor David Wenner to study the effects of the two hundred year history of farming on this land including erosion problems we now have to correct from 1960’s poorly managed cotton farming practices. We are collaborating with University Of Georgia students on these new sustainability objectives.

We did a little bit of everything today! We turned the soil in one bed and added egg shells we ground up and watered them in, then a little obstacle course and a little creek and a little nature art. Whoo hoo!
