Hi there, i was wondering what Haywood file you are on? I'm a bit stumped with number 38 lmao
I'm going to be completely honest since I'm in Austin I've been doing a lot of SXSW stuff and a band I wanted to see was playing at the same time that the clue came out so I took a peak at clue #36 but I haven't done any solving because I'm on mobile. I know they found the winners and there's no way I could've done it in under 7 min so going to see the band was probably more worthwhile. I'll probably play for fun tonight and post about it if you're still interested in my thoughts later.

Tie-breaker email going out today! Was a bit nervous that I wouldn’t be able to participate due to some service work I’m doing today but never fear: the tie break starts Saturday!

well I'll be damned, it WAS Gavin.

Josh Flanagan has announced on his twitter that the Game isnt over for Tiebreakers. There are over 1,000 perfect scores, but the Haywood files are not over
Welp it's a good thing you told me because I totally missed that tweet and I was about to make a final post mortem. His tweet made it sound like emails about a tie breaker will be sent out to people who had 100% correct predictions. I don't actually know if I had a perfect run so I'll go back and check, but if anyone gets an email I'd love to keep tabs on the tie breaker process!

Gavin's gotta be the mole! Everyone he sleeps with dies in the next (or same) episode!
With the exception of Lars and now Mikey this is definitely an interesting theory

Eleven Little Roosters Episode 7: Double Triple Cross
First Impressions:
Oh my gooooooooood I did not see this coming. I also am very sad that this journey is almost over. It feels like there’s still so much story to tell so I’m excited to see how they’ll wrap it all up. I was semi right in my my guess that ashley and knuckles would die due to gibson’s jealously. It just didn’t quite play out like I expected it to.
Finding the Codes:
Haywood File #31 - “Sexy Signals” - 2ejxo3d
This comes from the sign language exchanged between Ashley and Gibson at the warehouse.
Haywood File #32 - “German Lights”- 2dZ0Ywh
This one was from the Reunion in the UK prologue video. Here’s my post on how I figured it out!
Haywood File #33.1 - ”The Blues” - 2eQXEm7
Throughout the series there has been a blue character hidden within every episode. I didn’t really keep track of at what point in the episode each one was found but I’ll look into it and update this. I think it’s kind of fitting that a season long puzzle leads to a fake file.
Haywood File #33.2 - “True Blue” - 2f6sszG
There is a small code hidden in the bottom left corner of the fake File #33 that leads directly to the real one.
Haywood File #34 - “Keys to Victory” - 2eafvQQ
The opening montage has a code hidden in it. It begins with the guy in the white shirt with a 2 and then it cuts to a finger hitting the e,a&f keys on the piano, and then it cuts to a sign with a vQQ on it. Honestly this one was super quick and easy to miss.
Haywood File #35 - “The Final File” - 2eQY1Nv
For Haywood Files # 31, 32, & 34 there are small bits of the code on the border of the picture of Ryan attached to each file.
#31- 2eQ
#32- Y1
#34- Nv
Haywood File Debrief:
File #31 - One organization will die, one is the mole, and one will survive. Now the questions are who’s who and will the mole kill for themselves for once.
File #32 - The germans will not be the victim. (either WAH or MI6 will be)
File #33.1 - This is a fake file. Says Australia will have no part. It has a code in the bottom corner leading to the real File #33.
File #33.2 - Australia will definitely be involved, the question is will they kill or be killed?
File # 34 - MI6 will not be the victim (leaving only WAH. poor Geoff.)
File # 35 - SSB will not be the killers. (Leaving MI6 as our last option.)
My Assassin Prediction: MI6
My Target Prediction: WAH
Post Mortem:
This game has been so much fun to play. Obviously it hasn’t been perfect but I’ve never really seen a game like this before so the fact that the method to find each code was so unique and increasingly challenging made it completely worth it. I look forward to doing a full post mortem when the series is over. I think it’d be kind of fitting if SSB were the mole because we’ve been following them since before the series started, but that also makes a great story arch if they were the hero, too. Plus an anon told me the theory that gavin sleeps with almost all of the victims right before they die, which would make for great foreshadowing, but also gavin’s the type of character that something like that would be a complete coincidence/ red herring. Honestly, with this series who knows!

Eleven Little Roosters Episode 6: Born Identities
First Impressions:
I’m loving the tie into Ten Little Roosters. Also the fact Geoff is a liar, it’s super fitting. Though it sucks to see chris die yet again.
Finding the Codes:
Haywood File #26 - “In Order to Kill” - 2f9PlQT
At the very beginning of the episode there are in memorium photos of all the roosters that have been killed so far. Within the patterns of each back ground there is a character that is a part of the code. If you put them in order from when they were killed you get the code!
Haywood File #27 - “Vege-madness” - 2f9RagH
This can be found on the poster of Geoff’s Secret Vegemite Formula.
Haywood File #28 - “Screen Burn” - 2ewjatl
During Ryan’s video in the conference room there are bits of static that cut in with an image of a squiggly line. File # 27 gives us an image that tells us to focus on the center.
Haywood File #29 - “Encoded Codes” - 2f9rfFG
This one you got from turning the first 7 bolded parts from File #28 into a code.
to, fallen, nine, strikes, proof, Feds, Germans
Haywood File #30 - “More Encoded Codes” - 2f6uiRd
This comes from the the rest of the bolded parts from File #28
too, fat, six-shooter, uniforms, rainbow Rd
Haywood File Debrief:
File #26 - Says two organizations will be the target next week. Also says the home country of the top grossing Ryan in the world will be a target. (The top grossing Ryan is Ryan Reynolds who is from Vancouver, Canada)
File #27 - Gives us a cipher to solve on of the other puzzles. Tells us anytime we see a 1 its really a lower case l.
File #28 - Mentions the Feds (aka CIA) and the Germans specifically. Though does not specify that they will actually be targets.
File #29 - The other target will be related to the title of one of the top grossing movies of the year. It exists in the same universe as Ryan Reynold’s top grossing film in 2016. (Which was deadpool. The other movie it seems to be referring to is Captain America Civil War because they both exist in the Marvel world. It also makes the most sense when you consider file #30)
File #30 - The title of said movie hints at the victim and killer. It also mentions divided we fall. (This makes Captain American Civil war make the most sense because of the divided we fall tag line)
My Assassin Prediction: CIA
My Target Prediction: CAL & CIA
Post Mortem: The puzzles got a bit easier this time around and I really appreciate it. The predictions also make a lot of sense in fact I’d go as far to guess that blaine will kill ashley and knuckles out of jealousy…

Eleven Little Roosters Episode 5: Rogue Nation
First Impressions:
I’m loving all these SSB behind the scenes moments. The prologues were fun and it’s cool so see what was happening in between the different shows. The codes are getting harder
Finding The Codes:
Haywood File #21 - “Scanning Separation” -2f9q492
Freebie QR code time! A series of codes appeared below an article about Koko leaving SSB towards the beginning of the episode. This time we had to test a few to see which on actually works. In this case it’s the second from the right.
Haywood File #22 - “Earful of German” -2f9QesN
This time around the german doesn’t match the subtitles and it’s actually a secret code! It’s nice that voice translators are a thing! Basically what it came out to was “2 little f Nein que little eh little s and big N” It took some messing with to get the right code though.
Haywood File #23 - “Time to Kill” -2fdU2ra
There are various clocks throughout the locations of the video and they each have a red character one them and if you convert all the times to the same time zone then it’ll tell you what order the go in. Josh also made a correction on twitter about this one.
Haywood File #24 - “From All Sides” -2f9rbWj
This one was from the Prologue Episode 3. You can check out my post here on how to solve it.
Haywood File #25 - “More Morse” -2f9NaNt
This one you got from looking at the redacted spots from the other files. Each line stood for a code character. Comes out to 2f9NaNt
#21 - ..— / ..-.
#22 - —-.
#23 - (Big) -. / (Little) .-
#24 - (Bigger) -. / (Littler) -
Haywood File Debrief:
File #21 - The next victim is at 65 North latitude. (SSS)
Morse Code: ..— / ..-.
File #22 - Killer is from the eastern Hemisphere. (SSB, SSS, WAH)
Morse Code: —-.
File #23 - The victim does not sit on 100 degrees west longitude. (SSB, SSS, WAH)
Morse Code: (Big) -. / (Little) .-
File #24 - The file says the killer is on or east of 18 east latitude. Josh’s tweet gave us a correction saying it really should be longitude. It also says that technically the entire world could be considered east of that because the earth is a sphere. (SSS, WAH)
Morse Code: (Bigger) -. / (Littler) -
File #25 - The victim and killer are not the same. (Which leaves SSS being the only victim option and making WAH the most likely assassin)
My Assassin Prediction: WAH
My Target Prediction: SSS
Post Mortem:
The clock one was probably the hardest for this bunch. There’s so many puzzles going on that I know they all can’t be perfect but at the same time mess ups like this make the game a little frustrating. I’m super appreciative that josh is so good at catching them and giving us corrections.

If you go back to episode three and look at Burnies house all 4 of the items are there, he is the next target. Now I just need to figure out who the killer is ;-;
Ryan tells Moose that the killer will for sure be one of the members of SSB the question is: which one? Knowing Burnardo’s home is in Italy, you can go back to File #16 and see which of the SSBoyz will be in Italy (or more specifically Venice) and you’ll find out who the killer is!

The Eleven Little Roosters Episode 4: The Most Dangerous Game
First Impressions:
I’m seriously loving the reoccurring bits of Geoff and Griffon just hanging out. The puzzles are still pretty easy to pick out but solving them is a little bit harder now. Sometimes you have to take a shot in the dark and hope you’re right. Also wow Moose and Hadam make me so sad, it was the love story I never knew I wanted.
Finding the Codes:
Haywood File #16 - “The Inspiration” - 2eQT07Q
This one was found in the NBA Jam episode of Immersion as referenced by Tyler Coe’s character. He explains that Immersion was the inspiration for the National Game. Check out the Haywood Files page for more info on the code.
Haywood File # 17 - “Red Dead” - 2fdQ3uN
A freebie QR code found on Moose’s picture of Hadam after he dies. Keep ‘em comin’ but please stop breaking my heart.
Haywood File # 18.1 - “Pizza Pro” - 2ejC6Oj
So I take back what I said the freebie QR codes... This was in the very opening scene when Geoff orders pizza, but the symbol under Ryan’s photo matches the one on the fake assassin file which leads me to believe this haywood file is fake, too. But there’s hope, and a second File # 18...
Haywood File # 18.2 - “Binary Blitz” - 2f9oCUa
This one was found by translating and putting together all of the binary under Ryan’s picture from the different Haywood Files. My binary is a little rusty so it’s a good thing the internet exists.
Here’s how the binary broken down from each file:
#16 - 2 little f
#17 - 9 little o
#19 - Big C U
#20 - little a
Haywood File #19 - “Hearing Impaired” - 2eQXLOM
Mikey yells a cheat code at Gavin during the tetris match. I mean the code is pretty pointless to Gavin but helps us out a lot if you listen close enough. The audio pans from left to middle to right throughout the sequence so if you’re using broken headphones you’re out of luck. I picked up the puzzle pretty quickly but figuring out which sides to use was difficult. Ultimately I knew the code had to start with 2 and it had to be seven characters. Which ended up meaning using the middle and the right. Especially after Mikey tells Gavin to forget he said “Z”.
Haywood File # 20 - “Other Other National Game” - 2fdS5en
I knew the betting board had to be a part of a puzzle and it turned out I was right except I started going in the wrong direction to solve it. I had thought that the colors the Tetris blocks lit up would be a part of the puzzle, but when I didn’t get anything from it, I turned to reddit. Turns out it has to do with the colors of the wheel during the opening. I know people have been expecting it to be involved in a puzzle for a while but I didn’t quite get it at first. Though like another comment said, haywood file # 19 refers to a “turn of the wheel” when it points toward this puzzle. Should’ve known...
Haywood File Debrief:
File #16 - Tells us that the killer will be from SSB, but only one will actually kill. The locations of the boyz are: Koko in Sydney, Bruce in Langley, Lars in London, and Wilhelm in Venice. This narrows our targets down to WAH, CIA, MI6, and IDD. The Binary translates to 2 little f.
File #17 - Tells us that there is code words to “activate” the killer and that items that correspond to each of the 4 key words will be somewhere in the location. The first code word is “Clock.” Lead us to the puzzle with Mikey and Gavin. The binary translates to 9 little o.
File # 18.1 - Tells us a code word is supposedly “banana” But has the same logo as the fake assassin file did, telling you the file is fake to. It is supposed to lead you astray to make you think the CIA is the target.
File #18.2 - Tells us the final code word is “wiener”
File #19 - Tells us another code word is “hippo.” Leads us to the Tetris betting/color wheel puzzle. The Binary translates to Big C U.
File #20 - Tells us another code word is “Chalice.” The binary translates to little a.
Upon examining the four locations from File #16, many of the code words can be found within the different scenes. In this episode the are hot dogs or what could be called “wieners” in Sydney and London. Langley had a hippo, a clock, a chalice, and bananas. If you take the freebie QR code file #18 as real, you could easily be deceived into thinking that the CIA is the next target which is exactly what the mole wants you to do. If you take into account the binary and find the real file #18, you’ll find none of these places contain all the code words. But, if you go back to the previous episode and take a look at Burnardo’s place in Venice, you will find all four items: a clock, a plush hippo, a chalice, and a plate of cocktail wieners. Based on file #17, this means that the killer will be at Burnardo’s place in Venice. And using file #16 we know that Wilhelm will be the once visiting Venice.
My Assassin Prediction: Wilhelm
My Target Prediction: IDD
Post Mortem:
The fake haywood file means the mole is catching onto Moose and Ryan. They’re also having us go back and reference things from other episodes to solve things. I know Josh warned us but it’s definitely going to get more difficult from here on out...

Hi. Marquee's book that has the rwby clue, I noticed there is a qr code on the spine of the book. It's real small at the bottom. I don't think it's ever fully in frame but considering we won't see him again what are the chances the book will appear in a future episode. Just something I noticed. Nice work by the way!
Good catch! theres also one in the bottom corner of the back of the book. Its probably the same code, but they’re both too small for my ability to be able to do anything with them. There’s one shot that could have worked but we just barely miss the bottom of the book in that shot.

Eleven Little Roosters Episode 3: Recon Rebirth
First Impressions:
So first of all I love Shannon McCormick. Second of all Gavin’s sleeping around again tsk tsk but I was super hyped to see annersby again and this scene may be more important than the last (insert winky face here). The puzzles were a little difficult this time around again, not because of the puzzle itself, but because the video quality I was stuck at made it harder to decipher.
Finding the Codes:
Haywood File #11 - “Reflective Detective” - Code: 2eQUij3
This one was pretty easy to spot. It was in the reflection of the mirror during Burnardo’s make over scene.
(I like these freebie ones, they make me feel like I’m accomplishing something)
Haywood File # 12 - “One Girl Seven Shirts” - Code: 2f9TT9X
This was in the Italy SSB prologue video that I solved. Check out this post if you’re curious on how I did it. File #11 is the one that pointed me to use the code as a part of this weeks episode.
Haywood File #13 - “Grimm Reader” - Code: 2frvwYF
Towards the end of the episode, Marquis picks up a book that says Vol. 4 on it, then proceeds to read Chapter 3 and gives a description of a scene in which Yang from RWBY is sitting on a couch watching the news. Though I already had the code and knew it was for this episode, this would point you towards RWBY Vol. 4 Ep. 3 in which that exact scene has a code in scrolling text in the lower third graphic of the news show she’s watching.
Haywood File # 14 - “Seeing Red” - Code: 2eaaGXN
This was probably the hardest of the bunch this time around. Agent moose give us a little hint on what to do when she scribbles red marker on the plastic to decipher the logo in the bottom of the fake file. Across the episode are light blue numbers/letters hidden with red designs. I first saw it when Marquis opens his book towards the end of the episode so there was a lot of back tracking to find them all. The order of the locations include: Marquis’ menu, the postit note from Ryan, the label cards for the MI6 weapons, and the inside cover of Marquis’ book.
Haywood File #15 - “Maestro” - Code: 2eaa30D
This one was fun for the musically inclined but there was a little catch that drove me crazy. I found this one on the SSB sheet music that Bruce holds up when they’re arguing with Koko. In the lyrics theres “Two” in bold and then a space where there’s three notes on the staff (eaa) and then “Thirty” in bold and then one note on the staff (d). The problem was the last D was supposed to be capitalized, and though the d being below the staff and the other three being above should’ve been a hit that some are lower case and the other is the opposite, my original thought was that it was the other way around.
Haywood Files Debrief:
File #11 - This file directs us towards looking at the Italy SSB video. It also emphasizes the “National Game” and that it’ll be a fight to the death but doesn’t say much about it.
File #12 - Our Boyz are safe again for now! It also gives us some words in Russian to translate to help clue us into what the “National Game” might be. I looked to reddit for the translation and I ended up seeing the meant “walls” and “Long block”
File #13 - In Sochi in 2014 Russia had the highest medal count while in Rio 2016 they were outdone by the US and the UK. This gives us an idea on who will be facing Russia in whatever the “National Game” is.
File #14 - “Out of one, many” is emphasized the second part of the file. This is the US’s motto so this clues us that the CIA will not be the one to face Russia, leaving MI6. We also learn that the creator of the “National Game” is a person with the name of Pajitnov. When googled, I came up with someone of the same last name that invented Tetris. This tells us the “National Game” is some form of Tetris.
File #15 - Now that we know Russia and MI6 will be the opponents, this file tells us who will kill who. Ryan says that unless the opponent has something to smuggle in that would help them win, Russia would be victorious. But a certain MI6 agent was just given a small item that looks quite like a Tetris block and a shrink ray that enlarges things. This may be of some help if he gets gridlocked like the files have mentioned on multiple occasions and could even win him the game.
My Assassin Prediction: MI6
My Target Prediction: KGB
Post Mortem:
I’m getting used to the style of the show now and I’m starting to really enjoy it. I need to start trusting myself more about the puzzles though because I originally thought that sheet music was a puzzle and then I dismissed it until I revisited it because I had no other ideas. This is also the first time I’ve been a little wary about my picks. The files are supposed to lead us straight to the answer and these are the most obvious to me but I’m still concerned.

I have an idea on what the placeholder numbers on the outside files mean. I think the first number is the episode it corresponds to, but the second one doesn't seem to mean anything. For example, the number in Berlin was 1-4, and it was a file for episode 1. To test my theory, I checked the Kangaroo Attack file (2-1) before watching episode two and that worked as well. So in other words, the RWBY file (3-1) and the Italy file (3-4) will be clues next episode.
Yeah thats what I’ve been thinking, too. This was a theory I’d been working with since the first prologue video. I assumed that first number corresponded to the episode and the second had to do with the number file in that episode. I’ve been a bit off on the second part but so far we’re both correct in thinking the first number has to do with which episode it’ll be in.

Wait, but I thought that Aaron's character didn't kill men so do you think that it'll be an accident again?
From what I got from the Haywood files, I'm pretty sure Marquis is going to be killed this time as opposed to killing again.

Eleven Little Roosters: Honor Among Assassins
First Impressions:
Excuse my language but damn that morse code was hard. I mean I know I’m not the only on that struggled but seriously damn its unfortunate that technical difficulties had to mess up a great puzzle. The story lines seem to be getting more sporadic so I’m curious to see how future episode handle it. It seems to be that it’s all for character building but miss the longer episode length like for more of a cohesive storyline.
Finding the Codes:
Haywood File #6 - “Eagle Eye” - Code: 2ejpRS2 - Link
This one started super quick and spread throughout the video. Anytime Marquis would look through the scope on his sniper rifle characters would occasionally come up. I completely missed the 2 the first time around because it moves out of frame so quickly after the cut. Much like the subtitles from the last episode, it was spread over two parts: the first being the opening scene and the second being when he is out to assassinate the mermaids.
Haywood File #7 - “Roo Clue” - Code: 2f9kUtJ - Link
The actual code for this was found in an RT short title Kangaroo Attack. Check out Haywood Files section of my blog for info on that.
Haywood File #8 - “Mermaid Memo” - Code: 2fru3BT - Link
This one was another QR code that was found in the file Marquis received about assassinating three mermaids. Funny thing about this is that I tried to scan to scan the smaller QR code first. Of course it’s a misleading code like the file in the trailer and leads to a funny Max Cookie tweet. The QR code that leads to the actual Haywood File is the larger one on the left.
Haywood File #9 - “Good Listener” - Code: 2f6pIm0 - Link
Friends that is in fact an upper case i and not a lower case L. This puzzle occurs during the interaction between Burndaro and Gibson, though they press random numbers on the keypad by the door, the beeping that goes along with the pressing of the keys is a Haywood File Code translated into morse code. This one drove pretty much everyone crazy due to some unfortunate editing. Josh posted a plethora of tweets trying to help players out due to this. The easiest way I found to solve the morse code, in addition addition to using the updates josh gave us, was to find a way to record the beeping and then slow it down. To transcribe morse code you write a dot for every short beep and a dash for every long one and a pause signifies the starting of a new character.
Haywood File #10 - “Annotation Aficionado” - Code: 2ea9Uku - Link
This one didn’t come out until the public release today to due the nature of the puzzle as the link was hidden within a youtube annotation. The key to finding it was Knuckle saying “Always check the annotations” during the scene with Marquis and Moose. The annotation only appears for a brief second or two in a small section of the screen during the following scene in the shot of Gavin and Mariel.
Haywood Files Debrief:
File #6 - Two countries that share land borders are going to be pitted against each other. The countries are unspecified as well as which would be the target and which would be the assassin. (This would be France/Germany, France/Italy, US/Canada as Australia is waterlocked, Sweden’s border country Norway has been eliminated, and Russia and the UK don’t have border countries in the organization.)
File #7 - Additional Clues will be hidden in videos outside of the ELR series but the trail will always start inside the episode. The next target country has a red, white, and blue flag. (Of our list, France and the US has red white and blue flags which narrows down the targets but not so much the assassins.)
File #8 - The next assassin is not a permanent member of the UN. (The permanent UN members are France, Russia, the UK, and the US [and china but they don’t count for the game]. This confirms the fact that neither the US nor France will be the assassin, leaving them to still be possible targets.
File #9 - The country where the castle that Sleeping Beauty’s castle is based off of is located will not be a target or assassin. (Thanks to the fact that the only thing in this world I love more than mac and cheese is useless Disney parks facts, I already knew that Sleeping Beauty’s castle is modeled after the Neuschwanstein castle in Germany. This eliminates Germany from being a choice but still leaves the US/Canada and France/Italy pairs.)
File #10 - The country that celebrates “family Day” will not be assassinating anyone. (Family Day is celebrated in Canada so this eliminates the US/Canada pairing leaving France/Italy. With France having the Red White and Blue flag, this makes them the target and Italy the assassin.)
My Assassin Prediction: IDD
My Target Prediction: FAP
Post Mortem:
These are the details of the help Josh gave, or “patch” as they’re calling it, due to technical difficulties.. It can be found on the updates page of elr website.
It was a fun episode but like I said it felt way too short. Some of the scenes that were cut in for the purpose of a code made it feel a little choppy. Though those cut in bits were funny enough that it doesn’t even really matter.
