I remember about a year ago, about 6 months after I posted my most popular fic (my diluc one if anyone following remembers it lol), I got a notif that said I got tagged in a post, which I thought was weird so I looked at it

It was a blogs list of their favorite fics from each of their fandoms, and mine was on the list!!! With a tag!!!

And I freaked out so much!!! I was so nervous posting that fic. I felt like my writing couldn't compare at all to the amazing fics I read on here all the time. But someone really took the time to add something id written to their public, pinned list of their favorite fanfics!

I remember just after posting that fic someone commented, saying that it was beautifully written, and I almost screamed at two in the morning lol.

And I'm not just adding this anecdote to show off praise I've gotten for my work. I'm saying this because, as a pretty new fanfic writer, every like, reblog, or nice comment I've gotten has motivated me to keep writing even when I feel like what I've written isn't good enough.

Anything: comments, reblogs, even just liking a fic I've written has made me feel so much more confident in what I can do and motivates me to keep writing and improving.

And I know I'm not the only person who feels this way.

So like art!!! Like fics!!! Any kind of positive interaction can make writers and artists and other creators feel so amazing!!!

And remember everybody, there are some people here who genuinely only create what they do in order to post their work here and receive engagement.

There are artists who will stop drawing without positive feedback, writers who will stop writing. Sometimes the best part about creating something is the wave of compliments and praise you get after it’s done. And when you post something, excited for that wave of engagement, and all you get is a couple likes and a few silent reblogs, that can be really discouraging.

There are silly little joke blogs and rp blogs who will without a doubt disappear if they don’t feel like what they’re doing is worth the effort. I’ve certainly felt close to ditching some stuff due to a lack of interaction.

I’m lucky to get the amount of engagement I do on my fics, and especially on my art. But still, I can say with the utmost certainty that I would entirely stop writing or drawing if my work wasn’t being interacted with.

Yes, I love writing and drawing, but it just wouldn’t seem worth it without engagement. I’d probably put my time towards something else instead.

Let people know when you like what they’re doing. Otherwise they might just stop doing it.

I get SOO annoyed whenever people complain about the media using the word "alleged", especially when there is video footage of the crime happening... people complain that it's some sort of media bias, and not like... straight up a VIOLATION OF A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT if they don't say "alleged"

The presumption of innocence is a right. Luigi's rights have been violated repeatedly in this regard.

And possibly also his right to a fair trial, since they are creating SO MUCH bias against him

GUYS I just finished the last archon quest and I'm having so many thoughts about capitano...

Imagine reader falling for capitano while hes staying in natlan, but they have a terminal illness (maybe even related to the abyss like atea's was). They don't want to be a burden to him, he has such important goals he has no choice but to reach and they dont want to waste his time, considering they're going to pass on soon anyways.

And capitano has feelings for the reader, but doesn't want to confess because he knows he's going to die in his deal with the Lord of the night, and even if that doesn't succeed, he's still dealing with too much from the souls he carries and his curse to properly have a relationship with them

So reader doesn't confess, and soon they end up dying from their illness, and they go down to the night kingdom for the afterlife, and guess who they find?

Fucking capitano.

And he's dead!! Well, not actually dead, but actually fused with the Lord of the night, which is somehow even more insane than if he was just dead.

And capitanos surprised cause he thought they'd get old with some random natlanese guy, and hed he stuck dead fused with the Lord but then he finds out they had a terminal illness all this time???

And so you two get to spend time you didn't think you'd have together in the afterlife, and it's really nice lol
