Young Love (Marco x f!winged!reader)
A/N @quinloki 👉🏼👈🏼 I did it, I made it based on the prompt ‘Oh i’m in love’ I don’t think it turned out as well as I was expecting but I hope it can at least bring a small smile to your face. I wanted to do at least something for your birthday, kind of like a thank you for all the things you give us. This is really soft as it is when marco is on his teens; again I really hope you like it and here we gooo
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which stands for reader in japanese
Dividers by @/drinkthesky and @/firefly-graphics
“Huh, Marco, where are you going?” Teach called, watching as his senior jumped off his post and walked into the forest that lined the clearing they were currently making guard at
“I’m taking my break,” He called, not waiting for the response of the former as he continued to walk deeper into the forest, sighing when he finally made it to another clearing ways away from where the current ceasefire was taking place.
He dropped to the ground with a slight huff, closing his eyes and crossing his arms as he thought of his small exchange with Roger’s first mate; his fists tightened as he remembered how easily the man had brushed him aside. Embarrassment filled him at the memory of his full-blown attack being stopped by a single finger. Perhaps if he hade-
His eyes shot open at the sound of leaves crunching and rustling behind him. He knew that thanks to the ceasefire, even if it was one of the enemy crew, he was in no danger. He glanced behind him to shoo them off, only to pause at the sight of the stranger.
Standing there, slightly hidden behind a tree, was not one of Roger’s men. In fact, it wasn’t even a pirate; rather, it was a young woman. By the looks of it, she appeared to be a native of the island they currently stood on.
Marco’s face flushed as the woman peeked her head out of the tree. A small arrangement of feathers decorating the back of her head, held together by a highly intricately designed headband. In her hand, she held a similar-designed bow. However, it was the wings that she showcased on her back that grabbed Marco’s full attention.
Marco scrambled to get up, letting out a small yowl as this caused him to fall head first into the ground, quickly picking himself up and trying to appear casual in front of the girl.
“H-Hi,” he cursed himself for stuttering as he tried to get his nerves under control.
“Are you a local?” He questioned
“I am, who are you?” She questioned
“I -I’m from the Whitebeard pirates. We stopped here for supplies but encountered some difficulties, so our stay has extended more than planned.”
“You’re a pirate?” She exclaimed
Marco was caught off guard as the girl jumped fully out of the tree, fluttering close to him.
“What is it like out there? Have you been to many islands? Do you travel in a big boat? How does it feel to travel? Do you have a big crew?” She hurriedly asked, curiosity shining in her eyes as she leaned closer to the young man, her hands forming fists as she lost herself more and more in her excitement
“Ah! I - Im sorry,” she spoke, taking a small step back.
“I got a little excited… I’ve never seen the outside world, so I guess I got excited to meet someone who has,” she muttered, slightly hiding herself with her wings in a bashful manner.
“It’s okay,” he assured her.
“I don’t really mind telling you about our travels; we have seen all kinds of islands.”
The two spent the rest of the night exchanging stories. Marco excitedly told her about the different seasoned islands scattered in the sea, even telling of an island lost in the old times and an island made entirely out of trees. The girl listened in awe at the dangerous adventures the man had taken part in and the numerous treasures he and his crew had managed to claim, laughing at the tales between him and his brothers, along with the Captain of the ship he referred to as pops.
In exchange, Dokucha told him all about the island. The small village she and the rest of the villagers resided in, being taken in by them when she was fairly young after her family had been wiped away by a hurricane that stroke the island as he comforted her. She told him of the colorful flora that littered the island, even showcasing some of it by tucking a blooming flower on his hair much to his delight. She told him of the equally extensive fauna; from big to small, the island was home to all kinds of creatures. It wasn’t until the sun began to peak that Marco took notice of the time as he shot to his feet.
“I have to go back to camp; the ceasefire will be ending soon,” he spoke, stopping as he spotted the disappointment on the girl’s face. He kneeled down close to her again as he grasped her hands, the previous flush returning to his face as he did
“I can come back tonight,” he promised.
“Really?” She questioned hope filling her face
“I will,will I see you here? I still have to tell you all about the Moby dick.”
“Yes! I will see you tonight, then!”
“Great!”
And so the two promised.
-
“Marco! I was worried you wouldn’t show up! She exclaimed as he spotted the small tuft of hair approaching the clearing with haste.
“I’m sorry, the fight went on longer than I thought it would tonight,” he explained.
“Are you okay? Were you hurt?” She questioned worriedly as she took in any possible injuries
He gushed internally as she worriedly assessed him, spinning around him to ensure nothing was amiss.
“My injuries heal,” he stated with pride as he stood confidently.
“Heal?”
“My devil fruit enables me to heal myself instantly.”
“Devil fruit?”
He paused, realizing that she must not have acome across the concept of devil fruits on the island; as he explained the concepts and power of devil fruits and how his own worked, he watched as her awed expression grew into an elated one as he offered to show her his full Zoan form.
She gasped as the man before her enveloped himself in cyan flames, covering her eyes at the bright flames in the otherwise lightless clearing. Once her sharp eyes adapted to the change in light, she lowered her arms, gasping as she took in the huge bird that stood before her; entranced, she approached him, extending her hand towards him and gasping; it wasn’t hot as she was expecting the flames to be, rather they were warm, they were inviting, they were
“Beautiful….” She uttered as she kneeled in front of him taking him in
The words she spoke would forever be engraved into Marco’s mind as the words that would change what was a small crush into a blooming love.
-
“Marco! You’re here; it’s strange seeing you during the day, isn’t eve-Marco?” Dokucha stopped her words as she took in Marco’s frantic state
“Marco, what’s wrong?”
“I-it’s over... the fight is over.”
“I don’t understand. Is that not wonderful news?”
“N- I mean, yes, don’t you know what that means, Dokucha?
“That the fight is over?”
“It means it won’t be long before we leave,” he sighed, defeated
“Oh,” she muttered
“I won’t see you again?” she questioned
Marco frowned, his own heart breaking as he heard the young woman’s heartbroken tone.
“Please come with me!” he pleaded, grasping her hands.
“Come.... with you?”
“You can have the adventure you wanted. You can see the Moby Dick and travel in it.”
“But what about my village?”
“Is there anything left for you here?” that silenced her; she knew that although he was right, despite her loving the village and its people and vice-versa, there was nothing more to gain if she were to stay here.
“Will your Captain be okay with this?”
“I won’t let him say no.”
She shook her head, letting out a disbelieving laugh.
“You didn’t think this through.”
“W-well, I have a beginning and end. I’m still figuring the in-between”
“You’re a dork”
“Is that a yes?”
She smiled, leaning in a quick, chaste kiss on the Phoenix’s cheek.
“Let’s go.” She grinned, opening her wings and promptly taking to the sky.
Marco looked entranced at the girl touching his cheek as he tried to take in what had just occurred.
“Are you going to stay down there?” She hollered
“Oh... so that’s what it is. I’m in love,” He spoke, a smile growing on his face as he heard her call out to him again.
“I’m coming”
What we thinking?

to much energy (drabble)
No gender or names used, only thing used is 'You'
I tried to put pictures but they weren't working xd
Zoro x !platonic!reader
being at sea for so long had its pros and cons, cost of piracy. However you did expect it to be this bad. The thousand sunny had been at sea now for atleast 2 months, you were getting ancey being in one space for so long. You had tried calmly meditating, cleaning, cardio, hell you asked chopper for sleep medicine to calm you down.
Nothing was working to get rid of the anxiety building so slowly you haven't actually noticed it, while the others (minus luffy) noticed something off. Zoro was the first to actually act, having a sneaking feeling that it was the same ancey-ness he faced when he didn't train enough. Built up adrenalin for no reason, and no way to get rid of it.
Zoro approached you while you were pacing around nami's trees. You were completly zoned out when he grabbed your shoulder, causing you to jump. "I've been trying to get your attention for 5 minutes now, you good?" He asked, annoyance mixed with something else laced in his tone. "Yeah, no im fine. I'm sorry I must have been to focused," you replied, however the tremble now lacing your body said otherwise. Needing to get moving again you tried nudging zoro off, but he grabbed your elbow next.
"You to worked up from being coped up on the ship, right?" Zoro inquired. You stared at him not really knowing what to say, "Come spare with me a 'little, promise 'ittle help." He followed confidently, pulling your arm slightly to follow him. You opened your mouth to protest, however he shut you up quickly; "Trust me yea'? I'll even go easy on ya'." He snickered. He dragged you to the crowsnest and help guide you thro simple, yet more active workouts.
After sets of sparing, dead lifts, squats, and a few rounds of carido and core working; that trembling, anxious feeling you felt before was gone. Now replaced with a pleasant sorness that left you feeling tired. Panting you sat down against the wall, relishing in the feeling. "See? Told ya' it would work." Zoro remarked, sitting down next to you, holding out a water bottle. You nodded in thanks, glading taking gulps of it.
"How'd you know it would help? Hell, how'd you know what was up?" You asked him as you passed the water back. He chackled as he took a swig, " 'cus I get the feeling to, having to be constantly moving otherwise 'imma implode. Jus' helping a crew-mate out." He replied, nudging your arm; you laughed and nudged back, resulting in a small play fight between you to. Before long sanji yelled out that dinner was done. You both looked at each other before agreeing to tie, sliding down the ladder to the crows nest.
Before heading inside you grabbed zoros shoulder, making him turn to you with a tilt of his head. "Ya think we could train more often? I doubt I will ever notice the pacey feeling myself" you asked him. He chuckled swinging his arm round your shoulders roughly, with a smile he said "I guess I could help a pipsqueak like you out," he cheekly remarked, causing you both to laugh. You both head to the table with small smiles, and a another day ahead of you both. Now, you aren't so nervous when those days come. 'Cause you know Zoros got you back.

First post inna while xd I'm dying over here :'D

“Just maybe” Trafalgar Law x Male reader
It had been one of those days. Nothing seemed to get done and Law was quite stressed out. The full moon shined against the sea water—not that law could see it being coupled up in his office. A knock rung against his office door, a knock he was very familiar with. (Name) didn’t wait for a response, he wanted to get in before law could tell him to get out. He wanted to help Law relax…not stress him out more. He wanted some time with Law…
“No- no that won’t work” Law mumbled to himself about the papers occupying his desk and thoughts. He rubbed the bridge of his nose before looking up at (name). “What do you need now?” he sighed as he looked at the man who had entered his office so late into the night. ‘Maybe this won’t work after all-‘ (name) started having second thoughts. “oh, i’m sorry i guess this isn’t a good time is it?”
Trafalgar, noticing the other’s anxious body language, gestures for him to come towards his desk. “no it’s perfect timing. I needed a break” he moves his papers into a pile and looked up at (name). Did he always look this cute in his pajamas? Now there he noticed… those pants look familiar. A little too familiar. ‘Are those mine..?’ Law raise his eyebrow in confusion. “when did you get those?” (Name) glanced down at where Law was looking, he meant the pants—the ones that were technically law’s pants—that had mini Sora Warrior of the Sea character heads on them. “They’re comfy plus i was looking for you when i grabbed them”
(Name) moved to lean against the desk and face Trafalgar. Law sighs and takes his hat off to run his hands through his hair before returning it to his head. (Name) could see the exhaustion in Law’s eyes. “One of those days?” (Name) asked. Law appreciated having him around even when he was annoyed with the world around them. “Yeah..” Law replied as (Name) nudged him with his foot. “You’re not helping you know” he said with a faint smile. “But i could make you feel better, maybe”. Trafalgar, intrigued, raised his eyebrow at (Name’s) response. A smirk tugged at Trafalgar’s lips. “Oh? and how would you do that? I’m all ears” he said with a hint of amusement in his voice. He rubbed his thumb on (Name’s) side as he waited for an answer, though he didn’t wait long.
“Well it depends on what you need…” (Name) said as he tried not to let his mind wander. Law pretended to ponder (Name’s) words before leaning back in his chair. A sly smile now on his lips. He wrapped his arms around (Name’s) waist and pulled him into his lap. “I can think of a few things you could help me with” Law said in a teasing tone. “Yeah?” (Name) rolled his eyes. “And what’s that?” he said as one of Law’s hands went to cup (Name’s) cheek. “A kiss, yours are like medicine” he stated. “They taste gross?” (Name) said in a jokingly offended manner. Law gave him a blank stare, he knew the other would say that. “They always make me feel better…”. (Name’s) face went just a bit pink. Law had his heart and he knew it. “well i guess you can one then. just maybe”
“just maybe?”
“just maybe, totally.” (Name) said before quickly giving Law a peck on the cheek. Law used the hand he had on (Name’s) face already to pull him into a full on kiss. Pulling apart for air the two smile even if barely noticeable, their eyes locked in each other’s gaze.
“Do you feel better?” (Name) asked only for Law to reply with a cheeky grin “Maybe”.

Heyo, how are you? I’m not sure if you celebrate it, but hope you had a great Easter? Would you write another Dokucha story where she’s the daughter of Mihawk and being very secretive whenever she goes somewhere. One day, Mihawk follows her (Crocodile and Buggy follow him too, they’ve got nothing better to do xD) which is easier said than done. She’s very smart (after all she’s Mihawk’s daughter) and tries to make sure not to be followed. Once they find her, they can’t understand what they walked into. Humandrills, Bananawanis, Kung-Fu Dugongs, and many more other animals are living in a secret place together and getting along, and especially, they all love her so so much. Together with her animal family they’re taking care of a wounded Sea King. Buggy is ready to leave the place and never come back, too many fearsome creatures for his taste and Crocodile and Mihawk are just at a loss for words (now Crocodile knows where his pets went, she doesn’t like that he uses them for battles and such, she loves their company and would never want any harm to come to them). Once they sense the three men, all the animals start to become hostile towards them ready to protect Dokucha at all cost.
The Scaly and furry ( mihawk x f!child!reader x crocodile)
A/N I DID IT GUYS AFTER SO LONG I FINALLY DID IT. I din’t have any idea on how to integrate buggy so he kinda got missed out. But here we are another dracule!reader, reader is in ther middle childhood, so young but not a todler but also not a teen. But anyways thank you guys so much for waiting
Mihawk narrows his eyes as once again his daughter had left in a hurry, leaving behind a poor excuse of wanting to explore the outside. His eyes flickering back to his co-worker as he pipes in
“If you’re that curious about what the brat is up to, we can simply follow her,” Crocodile huffs out, a cloud of smoke leaving his mouth as he spoke
It was easier said than done, seeing as his daughter had inherited haki from him, one she had harnessed under both his and Crocodile’s guidance. But it was still not on par with theirs, which made it possible for the two men to evade her detection, following her as she made her wave through the thick bushes until she arrived at a cove hidden away by trees and boulders.
She blinked, looking back
“I thought I felt something…” she murmured, turning back around smiling as she spotted one of her friends waiting for her at the entrance of a more secluded part of the cove.
“Hi Manny, I'm back!” She called to the Dugong, who made some aggressive punching movements her way as they both entered a more enclosed part of the cove
“I know, I’m sorry. Dad and Cruncle are getting suspicious, so it was harder to get this time,” the girl grumbles, letting out a squeak as she was suddenly lifted off the ground, relaxing when she recognized the presence.
“Enrique, you scared me,” she gasped, giggling when the human drill hugged her tighter
“I ‘m sorry; I know I was gone longer than normal; I'm back,” she said, smiling up at the ape that sat in the branches, letting low hoots as he put the girl down again
“I knew you cared, Enrique!”
A louder set of hoots and disgruntled noises left the Humandrill upon hearing this
“Tell yourself that, but I know you care!” She argued back to the growing cacophony of howls and screams, the occasional gecker leaving the ever-increasing group only to be stopped as Manny, now joined with his own group of dugongs, began emitting a series of whistles to get both of them on track
“Ah right, sorry,” she apologized, making haste to a blue hole deeper down the cove, smiling as a colossal beast surfaced when she kneeled next to it
“Hi Musa, how are they doing? I’m sorry it took me a bit, but I brought the medicine. Would you bring them up?” She spoke as she caressed the bananawani’s jaw, grinning when the latter let out a satisfied hiss as she sank back into the depths, returning accompanied both only by more of her kind but with a similar-sized beast being supported by their scaly bodies
She frowns at the Sea King’s state as they weakly glance at her, letting out a weak hiss in greeting
“Here, can you open your mouth?” Smiling when they complied, throwing the medication in their mouth
“You’re bigger, so I had to get a couple…hundred, but it sho-AH
Her words were caught up as, for the second time, she found herself airborne, this time; however, the culprit seemed to be a dusty mass dragging her feet in the air and dangling her upside down
As soon as this happened, as a switch being flicked, all the animals in the room became alert, aggresive, the bananawanis crawling out of the water and standing in front of her now dangling body. The dugongs and Humandrills stood in their own formations, preparing to fight the newcomers. Some of the human drills were quick to try to get the girl down, climbing through branches near her position, only to back down as the sand lashed out at them if they got too close
“It’s okay, guys, I know them,” she explains, trying to calm the growing tension in the cove
“Hi dad, hi Cruncle….what are you guys doing here?”
“I reckon we should be the ones asking that question,” Mihawk spoke, staring up at the girl
“What are you doing near them?” Crocodile growled as the creatures began to advance on them, as he flashed them with his haki in return, grinning when they backed away
“Wait, don’t hurt them! I can explain!” She hurried out
Mihawk quirked an eyebrow at that
“They’re my friends!” She chirps only to turn into a squeal as she is raised higher after a shared glance between the ex-warlords
“Dad!” She whined, a frown on her face
“Where did they come from?”
She pouts at that
“Well?”
“The human drills came with me from our old home, and we found the dugongs at the beach.”
Mihawk glances at Crocodile for confirmation on the latter, already knowing how likely it was for the apes to have followed them to the island, seeing how close they had grown in Kuragaina Island
“Dugongs are native to this area,” he confirms
He hums at that
“And the beasts?”
“I sneaked into Uncle’s gloomy room, and they were just there; they were lonely, so, I kind of, umm, let them go?”
Crocodile lets out a scoff at that
“They are huge predators, the only predators to sea kings, and you let them go because they looked lonely?”
“That’s what I just said, dummy.”
“Watch it brat.”
She sticks out her tongue at him in return
Mihawk rolled his eyes, walking closer to her
“What about the sea king?”
“It’s a baby! It got left by his pod, and he got really sick; he found them when me and Musa were out swimming, and we wanted to help them, well Musa wanted to eat them at first….”
“You are going to be the death of me,” he sighed, catching the child as Crocodile released the sand holding them up
“So…can I come see them again?” She asked the men once they had departed from the cove, much to the chagrin of the animals
They glance at each other before Crocodile begins
“The banawani need to come back.” he started sending her a side glare when she began to protest
“They have a job to do; once they do their job, they are free to go and rendevous with you,” he states
“Job? Do they play with you too, Cruncle? Is their job to keep you company?”
“N-
He pauses at the scathing glare he receives from the swordsman, understanding it was better not to let the young girl know what the reptile’s actual job consisted of
“..They keep me company and help me with some cleaning.”
“Cleaning? Them?” She questions, trying to picture the crocodiles using their huge bodies to tidy up an office
“They get rid of the trash for me.”
“Oh! That sounds like Musa and the rest! They are always hungry,” she laughs
Mihawk nods his head, a silent sign of acknowledgment for the otherwise aloof man
“You have to let me know where you are actually going from now on, no more sneaking out. As long as you do that, you are allowed to continue your peculiar friendship group.”
“Really?!”
“Yes.”
“Thank you, dad!”
A moment of silence envelops the trio as they continue walking, only to be cut short by the girl once again
“Do you want to come to cuddle and play with them with me?”
“No.”
“Worth a shot”
Again thank you for all the kind words I got saying to take my time, and sorry I completely disregard your words cause LISTEN I WANT TO KEEP GIVEN YOU GUYYS

Internal Tickles
Eustass Kid x GN!Reader
WC: 1351
You've been working diligently for a while and Kid wants you to relax by giving you a bath
A/N: selfship coded, reader is a shipwright and kind of oblivious lol, established relationship, non sexual intimacy, one suggestive comment, reader has hair, petname doll used just once. this was actually >800 words of angst until I chose to be happy so now it’s fluffy, one Kid fic of four on my wip list, lets go!!
dividers by @/cafekitsune
if you're ageless or younger than 18 im blocking you
This isn’t going the way Eustass Kid expected it would.
No You’re so kind and strong, babe! or Future King of the Pirates drew me a bath? How romantic in a completely swooned voice, not even a suggestive remark about how you two were about to get the complete opposite of clean.
Nothing. And it’s not like the only reason he did this was to hear you praising him, but it sure as hell is appreciated. He did this because you need to rest.
You’d been working for hours, if you’re not sitting at the deck looking at blueprints, you take your tools and head off somewhere on the ship only to return to the deck after some time has passed, at least you’re eating—he’d been making sure of that—and stretching from time to time. He cherishes that you take care of the Victoria Punk, but not if it costs your health.
“Orange”
Sat on the deck and extending your arm up, not even sparring Kid a glance, your attention focused on one of the myriad of blueprints laid on the deck, you retrieved the fruit, only to look at it in a blink and extending your arm once again “It’s already peeled”.
“I know, it’s for you”
“Oh, thanks” holding the fruit in one hand and taking your pencil with the other one to continue making calculations.
“Eat” He reminds you, before turning on his heel and going somewhere you didn’t care to see because you had tunnel vision on those blueprints! No, he isn’t jealous of paper, despite what Killer and Wire keep snickering about as he passes by them.
The last thing you heard before being scooped by big strong hands, metal and flesh, and being carried on his shoulder was You’re coming with me. Spare tools, the blueprints—safely secured by the weight of your toolbox on top of them— along with any other materials scattered around for your work and the napkin that holds the orange seeds from your snack, getting farther away from you as he entered the ship.
Upon entering the bathroom, your eyes take notice of the multiple buckets around the tub, and when he’s getting prepared to get tackled by you, not that you could actually take him down, he only gets a worried question.
“Do we have leaks?”
What?! No! Why can’t you receive the message he’s been trying to send you telepathically. Perhaps he must use direct communication.
Which doesn’t help him like he’d hoped, given that now he’s met by your deep in thought blank stare.
“If I were to be injured, I’d understand you but that’s not the case”
Every passing minute makes the warm water he collected earlier gets colder.
“Can’t you just let me bathe you?”
“Is it..?” tilting your head the slightest frown appears on your features before you lift one arm and lower your nose toward your armpit to sniff it twice.
It might, you’ve been working under the sun for hours. “It’s not that”
“Then why —?” Kid grabs your cheeks with his hand to interrupt you.
“Intimacy and shit”, squeezing between each word said.
Oh!
Finally catching the idea, you start undressing and he follows, detaching his metal arm and leaving it far from the tub
“Instead of bath, didn’t you mean romantic bucket bath?”, clearly teasing him.
“It’s the same thing!” the nonexistent steam in the room isn’t what causes the blush on his cheeks, Kid offers you his hand to help you get in safely. Sitting in front of him, between his legs your backside facing him.
“I was checking the blueprints earlier and —” A yelp leaves you as room temperature water falls over you. “The fuck was that for?!”
Kid still holds the tiny bucket above you, revenge being the only thing on his mind the moment you uttered the b-word. “You need to relax, no more work-talk” He returns to the main bucket to fill the smaller one with water one more time to soak your skin in a gentler manner.
“Let me finish!”
“Always do” the smirk he wears falls when you pinch his thigh.
You help him soaping the bath sponge as you resume “I was checking the blueprints and I realized I only have maintenance left for the dinosaur skull at the bow including the teeth and I’m done!” Kid murmurs his thanks to you for taking care of his ship and pulls you closer to him to kiss your temple.
“Still, no work-talk while I bathe you”
“Yes, captain”, you turn your head to face him so he can kiss you on your lips.
While you’re capable of scrubbing your body and rinsing it, Kid insists he will do it, you just sit there and be pretty while he takes care of you. Soaping your skin, rinsing it and then applying shampoo to your hair, easily massaging your scalp with his massive hand. Conversation never ceasing between you while you bask in each other’s presence.
With that last splash of water that rinses your hair, he mumbles something and the familiar feeling of his weight on your back unexpectedly meets you. You take notice of how the level of water had increased, now covering more than 50% of your bodies. Propping your feet against the other side of the tub, you push both of your bodies until Kid’s back rests against the porcelain on his side of the tub.
Other than yourself, the one thing that can make Eustass “Captain” Kid feel weak is a body of water.
With you lover now resting against the surface, without a chance of him falling forward, you change position and straddle his hip, taking his cheeks between your hands “Hey, hey, handsome, look at me” tapping them ever so lightly.
“How many me’s are you seeing right now?”
Barely opening his eyes, he closes them again as he smirks “Five, all of’em f’me” in a slurred voice, he lets his head fall back.
Looking behind you, you stretch as far as you can so reach the plug and pull it, grabbing the edge of the tub to maintain balance. You wait until the water has reached waist level to put the plug back where it was. A strong hand holds the forearm holding the tub and pulls you into an equally strong chest.
“Are you alright?” Your giggling and your fingers stroking his hair warm him in ways he never imagined to feel prior meeting you.
You look at him with a small smile and doe eyes, and show him your flat palm, fingers spread; he can’t help to interlock his fingers with yours, just like he can attract metal at will because of his devil fruit, you have that same effect on him, a pull so strong it could be instinctive.
You pull him towards you and with your other hand you grab a bucket full of now cold water and let it drop on his back, making him hiss at the change of temperature. “Cold!”
“Well you did it first”
“That’s it!” In one quick motion Kid stands up, you cling to him, arms gripping his broad shoulders and legs wrapping around his hip, in your hurry to not fall you didn’t notice his arm reaching for the cold water knob to turn it on all the way. The cold stream falling on both of you, when it hits your back you claw at his skin and shriek into his neck “Eustass!”.
He turns off the shower and lowers you to stand in the tub.
“If the shower was working then why the fuck did we take a bucket bath?!”
“I told you! Intimacy and shit!”
You’re both screaming, but the beaming smiles you both wear that turn into laughter show how happy you are with one another, never ending soft and teasing moments that often merge.
“You’re so cute! Thank you for this”, cooing at him while you nuzzle your head between his pecs and Kid kneads the fat on your hip.
“Sure, doll, anytime” and he kisses the top of your head.
if you read all the way here, a reblog would be appreciated 🥺

Idk which pirate crew to choose but what about a fem ghost child who lives on an island or ship. Their pretty lonely since they died alone and all they want is a family. So when a pirate crew shows up she kinda tries to keep them from leaving. Kinda angsty? Maybe the crew ends up adopting her??
Hunger and Solitude (Brook x child!ghost!reader x Sanji)
A/N y’all I cooked right here, I ‘ll be homest when I read this I was like UM BROOK 100% but then I was like thinking of the plot and the backround of Reader for the story and I was like I need Sanji here. This story is more on the heavy side and unlike my other ones this is not the squealing like a little kid type as it includes themes of death and starvation but just as wholesome in my opinion
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which stands for reader in japanese
Dividers by @/saradika
Brook found himself walking around the cabin his crew had ended up in, attempting to take shelter from a snowstorm that raged on the island they were visiting.
The abandoned cabin, if one could call it that, didn’t seem abandoned at all; it seemed weird to the skeleton. Usually, he would be against abandoned places, lest they find a ghost or other undead beings, but this place seemed taken care of; everything was in order, no dust, no cobwebs, no roof caving in on itself; it seemed like a typical house, but yet not a soul could be found.
“Brook, you noticed it too, right?” Sanji says, walking up to him, the usual cigarettes resting between his lips
“Yes, this place… it’s abandoned, and there isn’t anyone here or around, yet this place is immaculate,” he replies, glancing around the room
“There has to be someone here,” The chef concludes
Dokucha looked down at the two men, studying them from the rafters up above
Brook paused at the sound of a childish giggle, slowly looking up and spotting a small girl looking back at him
“…”
“…”
“A GHOST!” He cries, pulling out his sword from the cane
“You’re a skeleton!” Sanji hollers back at him, annoyed
“Stop!”
Brook stills for a second, taking over the ghost that was, at this point, in front of them
“You’re a child…”
“I’m sorry! Please don’t hurt me!”
“Hey, Hey, it’s okay; we have no intentions of hurting you,” Sanji said, kneeling down to her level and trying to ease her down
Brook sheaths his sword once again. He looked around once again, still perplexed at this place
“You live here, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” she said, sniffling
“Where are your Parents?” he asked, despite deep down already knowing the answer
“They all died, rain never came, and food ran out.“ she cried
“I stayed, but I saw momma starve, I saw papa starve, and no one came back.”
Brook and Sanji, both still at that, memories both flooding their minds at the story of the small girl
“So you stayed here, alone, by yourself, all by yourself,” Brook muttered
“I am deeply sorry, little Madam; I know the feeling very well.”
After the words had been spoken a sudden chill filled the air, snow beginning to blast around them as white began to cover the room they stood in
Sanji looks up at the spectable and back down at the girl, quick to understand the connection between the two
“Shut up! You don’t, you don’t know what it feels like!” She screams, eyebrows furrowed, eyes filled with both fury and pain
“Yes, I do,” The skeleton spoke
“LIAR” she growled as hail began to fall around them
“I cannot relate to starving to death, but I can relate to having to watch everyone around you die while you remain.”
“You’re lying!.” She hisses
“I am not lying to you, Madam,” He says calmly
“My whole crew died in front of me.”
The raging storm around them begins to lessen around them at the comment, furious winds going down to a cold breeze brushing against them as the girl stared wide eyes at the swordsman
“T-they died?” she said, stepping closer to the skeleton
“They did.”
She walks towards him
“But you stayed? Alone?”
“I did.”
With that the wind around them stilled, the snow that pelted them before now falling melancholically from the ceiling
“It hurts…” she cries
“I know, little Madam,” he says, opening his arms, signaling her to come closer
She runs to him, sobbing in his arms
“I miss Mama; I miss Papa!”
Brook wraps his embrace around the young girl, slowly rocking her back and forth
“Don’t cry; it will be okay. “
She turned her head to look at the blond man
“Did you stay behind, too?” She asked between her sobs and hacks
“Not quite,” Sanji replies
“I… I know what it is to starve, however,” He said, putting his hand over her head
“I got washed to an uninhabitable land with…my father. Our resources eventually ran out. I had thought father had more food and went after him only to find out he had given his rations to me, and he had taken to eat his own leg to survive.”
“It hurt so much, the pangs, I couldn’t stop them, I couldn’t get up,” she weeped
“I know…im sorry, i’m sorry” he whispered
“Little Madam, this snowstorm, it’s your doing, isn’t it?” Brook replied, sitting down with Sanji and Dokucha next to him; once the girl had calmed down
“It is…I’m sorry I kept Mister Brook and Mister Sanji and their friends here, but… it’s been so long since I saw someone, and I got excited, but you were about to leave, and I … I didn’t want to be alone again.”
“Don’t apologize. Your intentions were not to hurt us, and I’m grateful because we got to meet you,” Sanji replies to the little girl
“How long have you been living here by yourself?” Brook asked curious
She shrugs
“A long time”
Sanji and Brook glanced at each other; at that moment, the two men had silently agreed to something; they were not leaving this place without the girl
“Dokucha, why don’t you come with us?” asked Sanji
“Come with you?”
Sanji nods. “Yes, you know a ship? Where we all live. A ship with a nice kitchen, and plenty of others that will always look out for you”
“You want me?”
“Of course!” Brook says, reaching out his hand toward her
“Come on, you're not staying.”
“You will love our Captain, you know? He won’t leave without you either.”
“Are you sure?”
The two men nodded with a smile on their face
“Of course, of course! Now, come on! Yohohoho,” Brook said, standing up, grabbing the girl, throwing her in the air, and laughing further when the girl let out an airy string of elated giggles at the action
“We won’t let you be alone anymore.”
“And I will never let you be hungry ever again, you hear?”
“Thank you, Misters, Thank you!” she cried, hugging the skeleton’s neck, more tears cascading down her eyes at the turn of events
“I have never been happier than I am now,” she confesses
“Yohohoho, I know that feeling as well, little Madam!”
“Don’t cry, and don’t worry, if you ever feel alone, if you ever feel lonely, you can always come and talk to us, alright?” He says to her
“The crew and us will always make some time for you, so you won’t be alone again.”
Who the hell is cutting onions? Im not crying you are 😭

Chapter 10
[Prev] [Next]
Law might have run a red light on his drive back to your apartment. Could you blame him? There was no one on the road anyway, not at 2:00 in the morning. He hoped you hadn’t stayed up for him, but at the same time he wanted nothing more than to enter his home, see you in the living room, and scoop you into his arms. He had been so busy at the hospital that he couldn’t remember seeing you stand up since you left the emergency room, so the fact that you, not Shachi or Penguin, but you, called him earlier made his weary heart swell with hope and adoration.
He yanked the parking brake of his car upward and swiftly switched off the ignition, pulling his keys out, grabbing his bag, and practically sprinting across the dark parking lot to your building’s entrance. He input his apartment code so fast his hands were shaking, bursting through the door and climbing the stairs skipping every other step as he ascended. His heart was racing. If he was in any worse shape, he might need a triple bypass. His hands continued trembling as he stuck his house key into the lock, twisting it and pushing the heavy door open to finally enter your apartment.
His golden eyes lit up.
You were still awake, sitting on the couch with Bepo who was rolled over with his belly exposed. You were munching on a chocolate chip cookie while you watched a rerun of an old science show on the television. The force of Law entering the apartment with an anxious gusto made you jump in surprise, but you quickly smiled upon seeing your husband.
“Did you run up the stairs?” you asked, taking in his heaving chest and parted lips as he tried desperately to intake as much oxygen as he could.
Law simply dropped his bag, shed his coat, and rapidly paced towards you, pulling you off the couch by your hands and wrapping his arms around you. He buried his head in your neck, squeezing his eyes closed, afraid that if he opened them he’d see you back in bed, refusing to look at him. You kept your mouth shut at his actions, choosing instead to loop your own arms around his shoulders, squeezing him as tight as you could as you breathed in the sterile hospital odor from his clothes.
“I’m sorry I’ve been so distant,” you mumbled, your words muffled in the cotton of his clothing.
He immediately shook his head, his wispy black strands tickling the skin of your neck. “Never apologize. Never.”
You yelped as Law’s body lurched, his arms swooping down to scoop you into his arms, just like he did when you were his bride, to carry you back to the couch and flop down, placing you in his lap. The force startled Bepo, who grunted before falling back into a content pseudo-slumber. You kept your hands looped around Law’s neck as you leaned into his chest.
“I’m really happy you’re up…” he whispered.
You simply hummed. “Me too.”
The two of you sat in silence for what easily could have been an eternity, the sounds from the television turning into monotonous background garble as your breaths synced up to his. Law adored moments like this. No responsibilities, no expectations, no distractions. Just him and his wife. You and your husband.
However, he still felt like he had to speak. “So, about Friday…”
You visibly tensed in his lap. “About Friday…”
“I have the day off, so I can go with you.”
You picked your head up, your eyes shining. “Really?!”
Law nodded. “Yup.” He heavily debated bringing to light the conversation he had had with Robin in the emergency room but decided against informing you, assuming that this aforementioned ‘diagnostic consultation’ would address exactly that. “I’ll be there with you through the entire… thing.” He almost said the word ‘ordeal,’ but realized that single word probably let on more than he intended.
You didn’t seem to notice, or simply didn’t care, content with the mere fact that Law would be able to join you. “Thank goodness… I’m so happy…” You dropped your head back onto his shoulder. “I’ve been so nervous since she called me this morning.”
“Did she tell you anything over the phone?” he asked, rubbing your back, leaving warm trails of pleasant shocks in the wake of his hand.
“No, she simply said she was hoping to see me as soon as possible. She wanted to discuss everything face-to-face, which I understand,” you muttered back. “Still makes me really nervous though. I’m afraid she’s going to tell me that I’m completely infertile, or something.”
Law sucked in a shaky breath. “Hopefully not.” He wished more than anything that he had the emotional capacity to say anything else, anything more reassuring or comforting, but despite the years he dated you, and even after marrying you, he still had his frequent bouts of complete emotional constipation. How you continued to put up with him, he feared he would never completely comprehend.
“Anyway,” you lifted your head. “Shachi and Penguin were here when she called. Penguin got so nervous that he started baking.” You gestured with your thumb to the kitchen counter.
Law’s eyes darted in the direction you pointed. Five large plastic food storage containers sat stacked one on top of the other, each filled to the brim with chocolate chip cookies. The entire stack was easily almost three feet tall. The Leaning Tower of Tupperware. Law groaned. “What in the world…”
You laughed, the sound seeming so foreign recently. “We’re completely out of flour and baking soda now, but we should also have enough cookies to last us a lifetime.”
Law’s lips quirked into a small smirk. “I swear, you can’t take Penguin anywhere.” He held you closer as you giggled into his chest.
“Well, I personally figured you could bring one or two of them with you to the hospital. Leave them in the break room with a little note for the rest of the staff to pick at when they’re on break. Don’t you think that would be sweet?” You grinned.
Leave it to you to think of the most generous solution to the mountain of cookies left in your kitchen. Law smiled, his hand trailing over the back of your head. “That sounds like a great idea.”
—
The Friday of your appointment had sprung up on the two of you. You sat in the passenger seat of Law’s car, your heart hammering in your ribcage and your fingers anxiously picking at your cuticles as your mind raced with worry over what would be discussed at your appointment. The repetitive alternative rock music playing through the radio’s speakers was interrupted with an hourly traffic report, and Law took that moment to slide his free hand over to your thigh, giving you a reassuring squeeze. Neither of you spoke a single word, the only noise being the rumbling of his engine and the monotonous tone of the traffic report.
When you exited the car in the parking lot of the clinic, you immediately paced to Law’s side, grabbing his pinky finger with your own.
“Something to ground me,” you stated plainly.
At your words, Law grabbed your whole hand in his, lacing your fingers together. “Don’t float away from me, now.”
Time went by in a blur as you checked in with the receptionist, sat impatiently in the waiting room, and blindly followed the nurse into the patient hallway with Law close on your heels. You followed her into the examination room where she assessed your blood pressure like a typical appointment, before writing a few notes on her clipboard and leaving you and Law to wait for Robin.
You were sitting on the small, elevated bed with your legs dangling off the end, your perspiring hands quickly causing small wet blotches to form on the sterile paper that covered the cold vinyl. The silence was suffocating. You felt like you were back in your bathroom sitting on the closed toilet lid anxiously waiting for that negative pregnancy result. Law was sitting in a plastic chair across the small room for you, and he slouched lower in the seat to extend his leg out and bat the bottom of your shoe with the toe of his own. The action caused you to yank your eyes upward to face him, and he graced you with that warm smile you had fallen in love with all those years ago.
“You see anxious patients like this all the time,” you mumbled. “Have you ever learned any ways to make them feel better?”
Law rested one of his elbows on the narrow arm rest of his chair, dropping his cheek to rest on his tattooed fingers. “Sure I have, but I can’t say I’m too good at it. But… you’re not my patient, you’re my wife.”
A very nervous chuckle blubbered from your lungs. “I guess that would make a difference, huh?”
Law’s lips formed a very faint grin. “It makes a hell of a difference. I can’t play footsies with my patients.” He punctuated his sentence with another knock into your foot.
You couldn’t resist laughing. Law was often so serious and stoic, intimidating strangers with his deadpan gaze and unwavering, permanent scowl, but he became a completely different person with you. In the years you had been together, he had morphed into a chronically exhausted undergraduate student who could barely force a dry grin in your direction into a compassionate, tender, loving husband. You couldn’t argue that he was still a bit lacking in the empathy department, but his mere presence in any room brought you a sense of ease and comfort that you had never experienced in your life. And goodness, you loved him for that.
The sound of the door to the exam room opening snapped you out of your dreamy thoughts. Your heart regained its anxious palpitations as Robin entered with her usual calm demeanor. Something in her eyes seemed… off, however.
“‘Morning, you two, how has the week been treating you?” she asked as she sat down on her stool, placing her laptop and small stack of stapled paperwork on the room’s counter.
Law tossed a look at you. You tossed a look back at him.
“Could be better,” you uttered for the both of you.
Robin simply hummed. It wasn’t rocket science to figure it out. She was there when it happened, after all.
“I’m not going to beat around the bush here, I would like to jump right into things.” She pulled up a few images on her laptop before grabbing the device and rolling in her stool to be seated in front of you, turning the computer and placing it in her lap. The screen displayed your ultrasound images from almost a month ago. “I would like to bring your attention to these labeled areas.”
Robin’s finger indicated each area she wanted you to address. Law had already seen the images, and simply kept his focus trained on every slight change of your facial expression. The doctor explained to you what she had already explained to him, and watching the worry grow in your eyes made his chest sink.
“We would need to perform a minimally invasive procedure to make sure, but I believe you might have endometriosis just based on your ultrasound scans. Can I ask you a few questions about your menstruation history?” She listened patiently and jotted down notes on her lap as you spoke about when you got your first period, how long on average they would last, how much bleeding, the average level of pain, or any other potential hormonal symptoms.
Law was in awe at Robin’s laser-focused demeanor with the patient. Just as he was always in tune with matters of the cardiothoracic variety, Robin absorbed all of your history like a dry sponge. She successfully empathized with your issues, her eyes giving away the even mix of intrigue, concern, and understanding as you described your ailments to her.
After you finished your explanation, Robin returned her laptop to the counter and swiveled to face both you and Law. She crossed one leg over the other and clasped her hands above her knee. “Mrs. Trafalgar, I’d like to discuss the benefits of performing a laparoscopy to rule out or confirm endometriosis, based on both your ultrasounds and your description just now.”
Your eyes darted between her stern blue ones and your husband’s pointed gold ones. “I’m listening,” was all you could blurt out.
“The procedure would be incredibly quick. You’d be under general anesthesia, so you won’t feel a thing. We would make a very small incision in your abdomen, a little below your belly button. A thin camera would then be inserted to examine the inside of your abdomen, and would allow us to see any potential endometrial tissue that has grown outside of your uterus.” She paused to let you absorb the information.
“What would happen if you found tissue?” you nervously questioned.
“Depending on the severity, we would most likely advise a similar surgery to actually remove the visible tissue with a couple extra incisions, but again, nothing major. The healing time would be incredibly quick in comparison to more invasive procedures,” she explained. “I personally think this would be the best option for you, considering you and your husband are still interested in having children. I want to try my best to give you the best chance of success in doing so, but that also involves ruling out potential reasons that you suffered a miscarriage.”
You bit your lip, but you absolutely appreciated her openness and honesty. “If I do have this… would I still be able to get pregnant?”
Robin nodded swiftly. “Absolutely. Many women with endometriosis are able to have successful pregnancies, especially after treatment. However, I would be remiss to inform you that, since you have had one miscarriage, your chances of having another have slightly increased. I know this is very hard to hear, but I want you to understand that.”
Your eyes glanced back toward Law who was already gazing at your face, almost as if he was trying to read your mind. You nodded your own head and turned your attention back to Robin. “If that’s what you think is best, then I would like to go for it.”
Your doctor grinned, a friendly smile that warmed your spirit as your anxiety-ridden mind whirled with every possible circumstance. Her comforting, understanding instinct was exactly what you needed to help you through this process.
“I’d be more than happy to set up your initial appointment now, if that is something that interests you,” she added. “I can directly send a referral to the surgical outpatient clinic which is right down the road from here.”
You gave another affirmative nod. “Yes, that would be wonderful.”
Robin quickly got to work opening your patient portal on her laptop. While she typed, she began speaking once more. “Full transparency, but I also have endometriosis. My husband and I decided against having kids, but that was for completely different reasons.”
You smiled. “Who is your husband?”
“I doubt you’d have met him, he works at the fertility clinic nearby!” She laughed at the mere image of her own husband. “He’s a pretty strange man, I will admit.”
Law blanked. “Wait… is your husband–”
“Doctor Franky?” she finished his question for him. “Yup, that’s him!” She immediately turned her attention back to you, informing you of the date and time of your laparoscopic referral, leaving Law to sit back in his seat and ponder over the fact that your gynecologist's husband was the man who got a glimpse of Law’s sperm.

hi! Do you mind writing something with a 3y/o child reader and the white beard pirates? Like specifically everyone is celebrating something, and then child reader slips and gets hurt and starts sobbing really loud and all the pirates are panicking?
Parties and Falls (Whitebeard pirates x reader)
A/N here we go! And along with this being a request I also wanted to dedicate it to @henrioo since I saw you were feeling down because of the lack of male readers out there and I wanted to cheer you up, this is not one of my best works but im hoping I can make more pieces so that you and all the male readers out there can enjoy and feel included!
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which means reader in japanese
Dividers by @/saradika
With a Yonko as a captain and one such as infamous as Whitebeard, one who was able to fight on equal ground with the Pirate King Himself, people usually thought of the Whitebeard pirates as a fearsome foe, and although it was true that you would not want them as foe, behind all that lied a close knitted family who all enyoyed one thing, partirs
With a whole bunch of pirates who could drink whole barrels of alcohol, they are the kind of crew that would throw whole week-long parties with everyone involved, and that was the case right now
Dokucha was not the exception. He always had a grand time when all his brothers were brought together on such a happy occasion
He wiggled his way around his brothers to reach the bar where Ace was currently sitting, struggling slightly to climb the top of the stool.
“Ace-nii, can I drink some of that too?” The boy asked, pointing to one of the pints the flame user was currently downing
“Sorry, lighting bug, you can’t have this.”
He pouts, leaning his head on the counter
“But everyone is having it!”
He chuckles
“Sorry, Dokucha, tell you what, how about you ask Thatch to prepare you something? I'm sure he can whip up something delicious for you.”
The boy lights up at that
“Really?!” He beams, the grin on his face quickly returning
“Yes, really, and make sure to thank him. He should be on the kitchen.”
“Okay!” He exclaimed, excited at the promise of a beverage; however, it was in his excitement that he forgot he was on top of a stool; losing his balance, he fell to the ground, the sound of the chair hitting the wood below being drowned by the cries of the child, the crew quickly sobering up at the sound
The entire crew looked down at the small child who was now crying on the ground; some were already rushing to get to him
Izou was the first to reach the small boy, picking him up and giving him a hug, trying to calm him down
He wraps his hands around his brother, their cries still ringing around the Moby Dick
“H-Hey Dokucha, hey, hey, don’t cry, lighting bug, it’s okay. We’re going to take care of you,” Ace reassures him, gently patting the head of the boy
“It hurts!” He cries
“Where does it hurt?” Ace asks as Marco makes his way over to the two
Thatch follows behind, rushing over
He simply points to his hands, small scratches littering them from their fall to the floor
Marco sighs, igniting his flames and holding Dokucha’s hands, healing all the small scratches. However, this did not lessen the cries of the small boy as tears rolled down his cheeks, hiccups escaping him.
“Buttercup, you’re okay. Look, see, your hands are all better now,” Vista says, joining his brothers in trying to calm down their youngest frowning when he shook his head and dug his head deeper into Izou’s shoulder as he continued crying and screaming
Whitebeard, who so far had been watching the whole ordeal play out, stepped in, gesturing at Izou to hand him over, who obliged
Whitebeard smiled gently at the crying boy in his hand
“There, There was that scary?”
He nods
“Y-yeah, and it hurt.”
“Well, you are alright now; look at you; there isn’t a scratch on you now.”
He cries, looking at his hands, and just as he had told him, there were no marks on his hands
“Breath in and out for me, yes, just like that, see you are okay.”
He sniffles, rubbing his eyes dry
“It was really scary.”
“It was scary, huh?” he says with a soft smile
“You feel better now?”
He nods smiling
“Thank you, PaPaw”
Again it’s not my best works but I really hope you enyoyed and @henrioo I really hope this was able to cheer you up a little, and I will try to write more male!reader from now on!

I'm Losing You
Having a family isn't always as easy as fairy tales make it seem.
Law x Fem Reader
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read these warnings before reading this fic. Genuinely, I implore you. I started writing this fic on a whim a few weeks ago, when I was contemplating my own experiences with reproduction-related health conditions such as the one that will be addressed later on in this story (endometriosis). Reproductive education and health is something that I feel very strongly about, and I feel that topics such as pregnancy complications and loss aren't addressed enough in media for fear that they're too taboo or shocking. Which, to be fair, is true, at least for the shocking aspect. Pregnancy loss is difficult, traumatic, and life-changing, for better or for worse, truly dependent on the person and the world around them.
Now you might be wondering... why would you drag one piece into this? well, i don't know. i felt like it, perhaps. Law is a character who resonates very deeply to me, his character is emotionally complex and layered, and imagining him in a scenario like this one became very interesting to me. Combine that with everything i stated above and taddaa, you get this fic.
this story does and will eventually have a happy ending (a very happy ending!) however it will take a bit to get there. this is a multi-chapter fic that i'm moving from my ao3 to my new blog, and the same warnings there apply here.
if this fic doesn't seem like your cup of tea, i encourage you to check out some of my other fics on my blog. i have a few law/readers that are tooth-rottingly fluffy and much more feel good.
with all that out of the way, thank you for reading.
Chapter 1
[Next]
The air in the room was as stifling as a sauna from the stress and anxiety filling the air. It was so silent, the tiles surrounding the small area blocking any and all noise from outside. The door was closed, caging you in.
You were sitting on the toilet lid, your hands rapidly perspiring and your whole body shivering with nerves. Across from you, your husband had his arms crossed, his head hung low, his heel bouncing off the floor. The tension was unlike anything you had ever experienced, however this had unfortunately become the norm for the past six months.
On the side of the sink sat a long white stick. Neither of you wanted to look at it.
“Do you think it’s ready now…?” you asked, inwardly cringing at how pathetic and weak your wobbly voice sounded.
Law picked his head up, his golden eyes creased in profound concern and worry. “It should be. Five minutes, right?”
“I think so,” you replied. With a trembling hand, you grabbed the stick from the counter. Law watched your every movement with a close eye. With a deep breath, you flipped over the test and gazed at the result window.
A single red line.
After the last failed attempt, you made a joke that you didn’t have any more tears left in you to cry, but clearly that wasn’t the case as fat, salty tears rapidly welled in your eyes and flowed down your cheeks. Law immediately knew what the result was the second your lips twitched downward. His heart sank into his stomach, immediately stepping toward you, grabbing the test from your hand and blindly chucking it into the small garbage can in the corner. He knelt on the floor in front of you to pull you into his chest.
“Damn it…” you whimpered. Your body forced you to take a shuddering inhale before sobbing an anguished, “FUCK!!!!”
Law’s heart broke. He didn’t even know what to say to comfort you anymore. 6 months of failed attempts at conceiving a very wanted baby had caused nothing but pain to both of you. You had both been scientific about the process. All birth control and protection was ceased, and the two of you were religiously tracking your cycle to make sure you would try during your ovulation window, but nothing but failure after failure showed up.
You thought you were broken.
Law thought he was broken.
You wept into his shoulder, your body shuddering with each pained sob that crawled from your sore throat. Law’s hands were frozen around you, firmly gripping your back. You couldn’t see the tears that were forming in the corners of his stern eyes, biting his lip and forcing every muscle in his face to prevent those tears from slipping downward. The last thing you needed was to see him cry, but he didn’t know how much longer he’d be able to hold it in.
“Law…” you whimpered into his shoulder.
Law stayed silent.
“I’m sorry–”
“Don’t you dare apologize,” he quickly retorted, cutting you off. He felt you lurch in his arms. “This isn’t your fault. It’s not anyone’s fault… it’s…”
Now you stayed silent.
Law took his own shallow inhale. “I… don’t know.”
For one of the only times in Law’s life, he was rendered completely incapable of speech. Normally calm and analytical, looking for every possible solution or reason for an issue, he was now left completely helpless to the crashing waves of sheer dejection. As your quivering body clung to him like a lifeline, his entire brain was scrambling for some sense, any logical thought, for the current predicament, but it was starting to become glaringly obvious to both of you.
It was very likely one of you was infertile.
When you finally picked your head up from his shoulder, Law’s previously broken heart fractured into even more irreparable pieces.
Your eyes were puffy, swollen and bloodshot from your tears. Your entire face looked bloated from the force of your crying, and you were clearly flushed. You looked, for lack of a better word, completely miserable. Law helped you stand from the closed toilet seat, keeping your eyes away from the trash can where the negative pregnancy test lay on top of discarded tissues and makeup wipes, to guide you to your shared bedroom. Neither of you had to say a word, you knew he was going to put you into your shared bed and let you get some much-deserved rest after the stressful eternity (10 minutes) you had just endured. It was almost 8:00PM anyway, and regrettably, both of you still had work the following day.
You didn’t fight it when Law eased you down onto the mattress by your shoulders. You kept your eyes pinned closed, not wanting to let your husband see any more of your beaten state. You rolled over onto your side and hid in your pillows. You didn’t hear Law mention that he would join you after cleaning up, and you didn’t notice the overhead light dimming. You simply begged for sleep to take you quickly and painlessly.
When Law finally returned after washing his face, he gazed dejectedly at your weary form. Finally asleep, fortunately, but your cheeks were glossy with fresh tears. The man carefully crawled into bed behind you, carefully pulling your body into his. He wished more than anything that he could make your pain go away. He ran through the many years you had been together, and struggled to find a time where your sorrow was as profound as it was this evening. His mind was constantly at war- his analytical, doctor side beginning to list specific reasons why this could be happening, and his sincere, passionate, loving husband side breaking apart reflecting over the sound of your sobs.
It could have been either of you. But it also could’ve been both of you. The thought was enough to finally force the tears in Law’s eyes to break free and travel down his cheeks. Some of them plotted into your hair.
—
You awoke to the sound of whispering in your hallway outside the bedroom. The blinds covering the window above the bed you shared with Law were pulled shut, but the sunlight still beamed through them leaving patterns on the walls and floor. The side Law slept on was empty and freshly made. No surprise, he left for work early in the morning after all. You slowly sat up in bed, your head pounding. The events of the previous evening came rushing back to you, but you felt nothing but an empty melancholy, a dark fog that hung over your brain and clouded your vision.
The door to your bedroom slowly opened. You looked up just in time to see a very large, very fluffy cloud with four legs and two beady eyes come sprinting into your room. Its feet ripped across the carpeted floor as It hopped on your bed with a loud huff, immediately snuggling on top of your duvet and leaning into your body for some much needed cuddles.
You mustered a weary laugh, your hands instinctively moving to the back of the dog’s neck to rub his fluffy cheeks from behind, eliciting happy grunts from the large animal. He had his tongue out, a tiny pink blep among the sea of rich white fur.
“Bepo,” you sighed. “You know Law doesn’t like it when you get on the bed.”
“He missed you!” called a voice from the hallway. Spiky red hair appeared in the doorway. “So did we, actually. I hope I didn’t wake you up.”
Shachi had, actually, woken you up, but you didn’t need to tell him that. “No, not at all.” You shook your head. Bepo’s tail was wagging in your face, causing you to sputter out small strands of loose fur from your mouth. The red-head entered your bedroom, leaving the door open. The smell of French toast instantly wafted into the space, making your mouth water and your eyes widen. “Is Penguin cooking?”
“Yee-up,” Shachi replied, popping his lips to enunciate the word. “Law invited us over, if you couldn’t tell.” He flashed a smirk. “You got the day off, by the way.”
Your eyebrows wrinkled in confusion. “What?”
“Law called in sick for you,” the man confirmed.
You frantically reached for the night stand and grabbed your phone, tapping the screen to illuminate it. It was almost 10:00AM, and sure enough, your alarm had been turned off. Three texts from Law sat waiting on your screen, as well as two texts from your coworkers.
Baby~~<3
Sorry, I broke into your phone to turn your alarm off. You get to sleep in today, I called you out sick. I didn’t tell them anything, just that you weren’t feeling good.
Baby~~<3
Shachi and Penguin might be there when you wake up. I did tell them a little about what happened, just so they know to give you space if you need it.
Baby~~<3
Call me if you need anything at all, I love you.
Ika-chan
I heard you called in sick today!!! I hope you’re alright, let me know if you need anything!
Nami Swan
How r u feeling? If u caut the flu u can blame Usopp :P
You smiled, your heart beating in your chest. “You guys are too much sometimes.”
Shachi proudly rested his clenched fist over his sternum as a display of pride. “Nothing is ever enough for your best friend!” The sight made you chuckle.
You were caught off guard by Penguin entering with a much larger platter of food than you ever expected. He excitedly approached your bedside with a wide grin, marveling at his own work. A bowl of mixed fruits, a plate of French toast drizzled with maple syrup and dollopped with a swirl of whipped cream, a small portion of sausage on the side, and a single unopened bottle of apple juice. You graciously accepted the spread, but you’d be lying if you said you weren’t completely befuddled.
“You guys know I’m not actually sick, right?” you asked, glancing at your husband’s best friends with concern. You shooed Bepo away from getting too close to the sausage.
“We know,” Penguin clarified. “We can treat you to a nice breakfast even when you’re not sick, though!”
You smiled, forcing down the lump that formed in your throat. “Thank you guys, I really don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“I know what you’d do,” Shachi stated. “You’d eat your breakfast and savor every bite!” He stood up from your bed and clapped his hands twice, beckoning Bepo off of the bed and over to his side. “We’ll take Bepo for a walk around the neighborhood! Take some time for yourself!” The two men left with your dog in tow, leaving you to stare in awe at the spread of food.
Your mind was reeling. Law’s text informed you that he had given his two friends a brief summary of what had happened, but you didn’t really mind. If anything, it brought you some comfort to know that you and your husband’s two closest friends understood the predicament you were currently in and were more than willing to go out of their way to support you. You also couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Law calling you out sick for the day, putting your passcode into your phone to turn off your alarm, and making sure his friends would be there for you when you woke up. You were beyond grateful for such an incredible support system, but just to be on the safe side…
You grabbed your phone once more, opening your text messages with Law.
Good morning baby, thank you for calling me out. Im feeling a bit better, Shachi and Penguin made me breakfast. I hope you didnt give them too much grief ;3; Take care of yourself today, I’ll see you when you get home. I love you!!! <333
With your breakfast completed, you slowly trudged to the bathroom to take a relaxing shower. The sight of your negative pregnancy test filled you with nausea, but you pushed past the feeling and turned on the water.

I don't know how but I had these ideas while working out
1- Rayleigh x winged!child!reader (w)
W gets sent back in time and meets his grandpa and Roger Pirates
2- sanji x ghost!child!reader
Okay so the reader is basically Danny phantom and he doesn't die (because he's already dead yohohoho sorry) and doesn't need to eat so a story about that idk
3-law x son!reader
Okay you wrote a story about laws son being able to see dead people so he gets kidnapped by Doffy and ghost Corazon trying to reassures him until his dad rescues him
🐼💕~
Adventures in the past ( Roger Pirates x child! Reader)
A/N here we gooo, Im kinda meh on this one and I ‘ll be honest I din’t even noticed that it was a winged!reader request until I was done so I had to kinda mix it in? But regardless here we goo, I can’t tell you how many times I went back and rewrote it again and again cause I kept getting stuck 😩
Reader here is Replaced by Dokucha which means reader in Japanese
Dividers by @/saradika
Dokucha groans, wriggling their way out of the barrel they had found themselves in, looking around their surroundings, shaking their wings
“Grandpa is gonna be mad that I ruffled them again,” they mutter
They squeak as a knife flies past them, digging into the wooden walls behind them
They slowly turn around, staring at the entrance of what looked to be an office of sorts, spotting two kids, a red-head with a straw hat holding a sword menacingly and a blue-haired boy with a red nose, holding an array of small knives between his fingers
The two seemed to be young but still relatively older than they were
“Um… hi”
“Who is it, Shanks, Buggy?” a voice calls behind the two young boys
“Uh…” Shanks lowers his sword, staring at the scared child in front of them
“It’s a Bird-kid!” buggy, never one to be at a loss for words, exclaims
They stare at the man for a few seconds, their eyes glancing at the familiar marks on his chin and grin, flying towards the man and crashing into him
“Grandpa!”
The boys give the man a side eye from where they stand
“Don’t look at me like that. I don’t know this kid!” he exclaims, looking down at the child who was now holding onto him and hugging him
“Kid, I think you got the wrong person…”
“No! You are Grandpa Ray!”
“How do you know my name,” he says slowly, looking at the child hugging him
“Because you’re grandpa!” They cry
“How old do you think I am, kid.” he frowns at the child clinging to him
At those words, the child pauses, taking a closer look at the man before him; it was their grandfather, that was for certain; the scar and the markings were unmistakable, not to mention the powerful aura their grandfather carried.
But the closer Dokucha looked, the more they noticed something was not okay; the silver-white long hair was now short golden yellow locks. The markings that characterized him, although there, rather than framed by his beard they, were now inked on his chin, the beard nowhere to be seen. And his face that was before marked by time was now much younger
“Um, Granpa Ray…. This joke is not funny. Why do you look so different?” They said, poking the man’s cheek, trying to find their ‘disguise.’
“Wait, wait, you actually think I’m your grandpa?” he asked in disbelief
“Who put this idea in your head?” he asked before letting out a slight chuckle
“Shanks, Buggy, is this your doing?”
“Hah? I didn’t do anything!”
“Not me either.”
Dokucha turns their head at the mention of their names, glancing down at the two teens
“Uncle Shanks? Uncle Buggy?”
The two looked a bit surprised; how did this kid know their names
“Uh, yeah,” Shanks said nervously
“How do you know who we are?”
“Umm, what year is it?”
The two exchange glances before looking back at the little kid in front of them; it was an odd question
“It’s… 1486.” the teen with the hat said
“Uh oh”
The two look at each other again a, very concerned looks on their faces
“W-what do you mean, uh oh?”
“W-Well, Grandpa Ray said it was 1522.”
Dokucha now had found themselves on Crocus's lap, the latter performing a quick examination on the latest visitor of the Oro Jackson
“I'm okay, Uncle Crocus,” they said, inching back at the cold feeling of the stethoscope
“Are you sure?” He asks, repositioning the stethoscope
“Your wings seem fine, no broken feathers or anything embedded in them, no lacerations or damaged blood vessels.”
“No fever, Heartrate is good, breathing is good, the pulse is normal.. they’re good,” he said, giving the rest of the crew his approval as he put his tools away
“Yay! I'm free!” They said hoping off and flying off
“Not so fast, Sweet thing!” laughs Roger, effortlessly picking up Dokucha
“Awe”
“So, what brought you here?” Roger said while carrying Dokucha in his arms
“A barrel did,” Dokucha responded
“You got yourself trapped in a barrel?” Cuts in Buggy
“Yeah, I couldn’t get back out because of my wings.”
Shank lets out a slight snicker at that
“Hey! It’s not funny!” Dokucha exclaims with a pout
“It’s quite funny, you got yourself trapped in a barrel,” Shanks said, snickering harder
“Haha, yeah, it’s quite funny.” Buggy joins, laughing along with Shanks
“Fight me!” They said, lunging at them
Roger lets out a belly laugh, holding back Dokucha
“There, There”
“They’re being mean, Uncle Roger!”
“I think they’ve only teased you lightly; they haven’t really been mean per se,” he responded, patting Dokucha’s arm
“Your future self sure raised a wild one, Rayleigh.”
Rayleigh rolls his eyes, walking closer to his Captain and plucking Dokucha from his lap
“Grandpa Ray!”
“Yeah, yeah, you’re back to Grandpa Ray now?”
He chuckled, patting the kid on the head
“Grandpa Ray looked so handsome when he was young,” the child exclaimed, moving Rayleigh’s head around and inspecting the younger version
“I’m not sure if that’s a compliment now and an insult in the future…”
“Don’t worry, Grandpa Ray looks handsome as he is now, too; he got to be with grandma after all,” they said, giving the man a thumbs up
Rayleigh rolls his eyes at this
“You’re something else, kid
“Now-Grandpa Ray says the same!” They chirp
playing around with his sweatband
“I'm sure he does,” he stated, putting the sweatband over their wrist
Dokucha smiles at this, glancing at the new addition and, sliding down his arms and walking to the two teenagers
They observe them for a while until a pout comes on their face
Shanks just stares at the kids as they pout
“What? Is something wrong?” he asks
“I wish I had gone back farther… I'm still shorter than Uncle Shanks and Uncle Buggy.”
Shanks chuckles a little before giving a small pat on Dokucha’s head.
“It’s alright, kid. You’ll catch up to us soon.” Shanks’s voice is kind and reassuring
Buggy just giggles at the situation
“No, I won’t; when I'm as tall as you are now, you’ll be all grown up, just like you are in my time! And then I ‘ll still be smaller.”
“Why do you wanna be tall like us anyways?” asks Shanks with a raised eyebrow.
They shrug
“to make fun of you.”
Buggy lets out a hearty laugh
“That’s the most honest reason anyone could give.”
Shanks snorts at this and lets out a laugh of his own
“I know”
“You are something,” said Shanks
“A lil brat,” says Buggy
They gasp,
“Says the red nose!”
Buggy’s eyes light up with pure rage.
“What did you say, bird-brat?” he growls
They stick their tongue out of them and running of between Rayleigh and Roger, who just observed the situation amusedly
“Are you going to let a little kid get to you, Buggy?” Rayleigh chuckles with a raised brow as he watches Buggy’s rage get the best of him
“Dokucha!” He growls
“Come and get me then!”
Buggy shoots off like a bullet, lunging for the small child
“Come here Dokucha!”
The kid laughs and giggles as Buggy tries to snag them.
Roger chuckles at this scene, watching the two
“Dokucha!”
“Dokucha!”
Dokucha looks around as Buggy’s voice soon begins to shift, becoming echoey and distant, changing into two familiar voices
“Dokucha!”
Dokusha blinked their eyes open, looking around and finding themselves in their room, Their grandfather and grandmother glancing down at them
“Good morning,” smiles Shakky, puffing out a wisp of smoke
“Geez kid, that was one heavy dream you were having,” Laughs Rayleigh
“Grandma, Grandpa?”
“Look like you’re still half-asleep. I'm going to get breakfast going,” Shakky says as she leaves the room
“What did you dream about?” asks Rayleigh, lifting the child from the bed.
“…”
“Still asleep? Hmm? Say, Dokucha, when did you get that sweatband?”
“Huh.” they look down, confused, only to look at their wrist and spot the familiar red and white wristband, a grin growing on their face as they realize what it meant
“Someone gave it to me!”
“Huh... I used to have one just like it; it brings me back.”
“Hey, Grandpa?”
“Yeah?”
“You looked really handsome when young. I can see how you got with grandma.”
“Hah?!”
Here we go thoughts? It’s not kicking your legs type but hopefully you got a chuckle, I will start working on the other one’s now 👀

THE GAZE OF A THOUSAND SUNS — ༉‧₊˚.
ft. mihawk !

꒰ CONTENTS ꒱ : MDNI. f!reader, established relationship (they’re in love love), unprotected sex, use of petnames (darling, my love), lots of praise, multiple orgasms, creampie, pillow talk — WC : 2.2k
꒰ NOTES ꒱ : thank you to nesi for the title teehee so yeah once again i’ve gone insane over a swordsman . i had so much fun writing this .. enjoy !! dividers by @/cafekitsune ᰔ
reblogs and interactions are always appreciated ! (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ᰔ*.゚
mihawks magnificent eyes were blown out, eclipsing suns that gave into its greatest desire, letting them consume it until all he was left with lustful pools of darkness in his irises.
“do you want this?” he asks, his sharp breath fanning over your face, cutting back all the layers to you so he can peer right into your core. his fingers deftly cup your chin, keeping your focus on him.
“yes.” your voice is barely above a whisper, threatening to fold under the intensity this man gives out. so commanding with so few words, his aura is like gravity — pulling you under him and casting you in his orbit for as long as he sees fit.
you just hope it lasts for a while.
“then you have me.” as simple as that. mihawk didn’t mess around with games, with the push and pull dynamic. if you were to be a brat, that’s one thing. but when he’s got you laid out before him, sprawling across his deep wine satin sheets is another.
tonight was all about pleasure. mihawk loathed leaving you alone and he knew it was only a matter of time until the government summoned him for his next task. the things he’d do to keep you safe and content are endless and as long as he puts up with the government, it offers you some sort of peace.
“i don’t want you to go.” you mewl out, fingers weaving into the threads of his hair, latching onto him subtly as a quiet order to stay.
“i don’t want to leave you either, darling.” he ducks down, unable to hold back anymore as his lips brush against your. careful at first, before your tongue pokes out to brush along his lip.
with a grunt, he melts into the kiss, the sweet, saccharine taste of your lips lures him in like his favorite bottle of wine. the taste so full bodied and unique that he couldn’t find anywhere else in the world, one of the things that kept him coming back to you.
drunk on your love, mihawk presses your body against his, his knee slipping between your legs and giving you some reprieve as you grind down onto him.
he doesn’t let up, stealing your breath straight from your lungs as if it would save him, giving him the strength he needs for the battle that is surely coming.
“mihawk-“ you gasp out his name, oxygen pouring into you as you pull away. his lips don’t go far, lingering near yours as he waits to hear you out before he latches onto you once again.
silently, he lets you guide him as you roll to the side, pinning him under you as you sit up and straddle his lap.
“oh?” mihawk smirks a little, adjusting himself so he’s comfortable under you, gazing up at you with all the adoration a heart can hold. “you wish to be on top tonight?”
“mhm.” you bend over, bringing your face close to his, fingers trailing down his bare chest. “it’s only fair i take care of you tonight.”
“and whys that?” he tilts his head to the side a little, curious as to what you were thinking. his eyes remained fixated on your lips, watching the way they move as you speak to him.
“because when you come back to me, you never leave me any room to do so.” you tease lightly, pressing a light kiss against his lips.
mihawk chuckles lightly. you weren’t wrong — anytime he came back to you he’d push you up against a wall and take you the moment he laid his sharp eyes on you. a primal urge to mate with you, solidify the fact he was home and you were safe. adrenaline still coursing through his veins as he fucks you until you’re both a heap of sweaty limbs tangled on his bed.
“then go on, my love.” his hands grip your waist, a strength that only comes from wielding his beloved sword, yoru. “have away with me.”
you grin, sitting up to untie the string behind your neck that held your dress up. in a swift motion, it’s undone, the top half of it falling and pooling above your hips — right where mihawk’s hands were.
he bunches the fabric in his palms and slides it off of you, letting you maneuver yourself so he can take it all the way off.
absolutely mesmerized, his attention falls back onto you, hands reaching up to caress your breasts, pinching lightly at your nipples in a way that always leaves you squirming.
“your beauty is eternal, not even the gods could design someone as heavenly as you.” mihawk whispers, his voice soft as it delivers the love he held in his heart up to the one who keeps it safe.
“mihawk..” you trail off, heat rushing to your cheeks. when the world slowed down enough for it, he’d shower you in lines that described only a fraction of the adoration he held for you.
“yes?” the look on his face never wavers and a part of you wants to look away. instead, your fingers brush along his happy trail, feeling his lower abdomen concave at the sudden, welcome touch.
“take these off.” you tug at his belt before starting to undo it, the metal clinking together as you thread it out of the loops of his pants.
he does as you say, taking off the rest of his clothes so you can properly straddle him now, his throbbing cock felt warm as it nestles against your folds, already soaking it with your essence. your hands roam along his chest, moving your hips along him ever so slightly to ensure he was properly coated.
“darling,” mihawk groans out, his fingers digging into the plushness of your thighs. “you know how i feel about teasing.”
flashbacks to the night you had many moons ago come to the forefront of your brain. teasing him to no end until his patience snapped, along with the ribbon you had tied his wrists with. once he started, he didn’t stop until the sun came up and the birds chirped in protest.
“sorry.” you breathe out, a small smile resting on your face, giggle tumbling from your love-bitten lips. “just making sure i’m ready to take you.”
“and when has that ever been a problem?” the glint in his eye is all too knowing. his palm runs down your thigh and in between your legs, a flood of arousal heats your core as his fingers prod your entrance, collecting as much as he can before swiping it into his mouth. “exquisite. you were made to take me, my love.”
with that, he leaves you no room for denial. your hand encloses around his hard length, thumbing along his tip as droplets of precum flow down from your touch alone.
he hisses in bliss, thrusting himself into your palm before you line him up to your entrance. slowly, you lower yourself on him, the sensation of him bullying his way through you has you squeezing your eyes shut — the pressure always overwhelming but tied so sweetly with pleasure your body doesn’t know how to react. but it knows to take him in anyway.
“you’re doing so well for me.” mihawks voice is strained, holding back his groans as he tries to ease you down onto him. but it’s futile, as soon as he finishes his sentence it melts into a groan that encourages you to push yourself all the way down.
gasping in unison, he bottoms out, filling you to the brim with his cock that makes its home in the depths that only he has ever carved out.
“mm, mihawk.” you moan, rocking your hips back and forth, enjoying the friction of his coarse hair against your clit. “can feel you everywhere—“
“do you really?” feigning innocence, he presses his palm against your stomach. “here?”
“yes.” your head rolls back a bit, hips still moving slowly. mihawk thrusts up into you and you yelp, your gaze falling back down onto him.
“eyes on me.” his palm slides up, just over your heart where it beats for him, thumping against your ribcage as it longs to be free. “you feel me here?”
“everywhere.” you breathe out, covering his hand with yours as you start to move up and down along his cock.
mihawks eyes flutter shut for a moment before his half lidded gaze falls onto you, hand falling from your chest and back to your hips. its subtle, but he guides you a bit, encouraging a consistent pace.
“doing so well for me.” he coos. the sight before him was truly striking; watching as you bloom into your own rhythm, pleasure etched into every feature of your face as you take what’s yours. “i must be the luckiest man in the world to have access to an angel like you.”
the praise seeps into your mind before spreading to every nerve in your body, lit aflame by the passion the man below you always effortlessly evokes. your hips never falter as you ride him, but the moment his hand slips between your thighs again causes you to jolt.
firmly, mihawk pushes his thumb against your clit, soaking up the cry of pleasure you let out for him. he plays with it for a bit, watching your body try to fight contortion, eager to keep the pace that was steadily bringing you to your high.
his fingers only elevate you, nudging you closer to the edge with a few precise motions.
“‘m close,” you mewl, hands splaying along his chest as you go faster, chasing after the sensation you seek. “‘m really, really close.”
you couldn’t stop even if you wanted to but on some level you knew to tell him, subtly asking for permission as you aim to finish without him. the act of obedience touches mihawk, something he’ll have to reward you for later.
“go ahead, i want to see you let go for me.” mihawk lets out a low groan, surfacing deep from his chest as his abdomen starts to tighten as well. “i’ve got you, my love.”
euphoric, mind numbing, sensational. all the feelings that surround you as you release but couldn’t begin to express as your mind clears out any rational thought besides the man that coaxes you over the edge.
“beautiful.” he gasps out as you start to slump down, your climax taking more out of you than you anticipated. in a practiced motion, he rolls you under him, remaining buried at the hilt before he starts slowly thrusting into you. “just a little longer, okay?”
you nod, clinging onto him as his pace turns ruthless, chasing his high while hurtling you towards another one. the snap of his hips ricochet between the walls of the room, the sound of your cunt drowning out the small whimpers you let out.
“‘m gonna cum again.” you mewl, the back of your head hitting the plush pillow beneath you as your back arches up into him, bodies pressed together.
“cum with me.” mihawks voice is but a rasp as his lips kiss your ear, pulling back to cast another glance at your fucked out face, driving into you as if it was the last time.
with a cry of his name and a groan of yours, your body locks up in pleasure, trembling in his hold as he cums deep inside of you, shallowly thrusting to ensure it all stays where it belongs.
as soon as his hips still, he presses a kiss against your forehead. languidly, he pulls out of you, drawing out a whine from deep within.
careful not to drop his weight onto you, he pushes down onto the mattress with his elbows, lightly kissing along the skin of your collarbone and up to your neck.
as you try to catch your breath, he tries to catch your eye. but stubbornly, you won’t give in.
“why aren’t you looking at me? don’t tell me you’ve gone shy.” he grasps your chin gently, bringing your attention back over to him.
those eyes. those piercing, molten gold eyes burn into yours and you can all but gasp. tiny suns replaced the soft irises, blinding you to everything except for him. to say you’re getting lost in them would be an understatement — you were sucked into his gaze, drowning in the light that he so readily provided.
“i’m not shy.” you squirm under his hold slightly, restlessness taking root in your body the more he carries on.
“then what’s on your mind?” his fingers caress your cheek, letting you lean on him once again.
a pause.
“i’ll miss you.” you say softly, your voice a warm breeze that brushes against his face.
“i’ll miss you too.” he sighs, dejected that he was ever tasked to leave you. mihawk rests his forehead against yours, maintaining eye contact as he soaks you in for the last time — at least for awhile. “i’ll return to you before you know it.”
“you better.” your hand snakes up and holds his face, thumb brushing along his bearded cheek before you lean in for another kiss.
the last night between you both with uncertainty resting on the horizon, waiting for the sun to wake and steal away the only man you’ve ever loved.
but with every sunrise follows a sunset and like many times before, he will come back to you safe and sound. an insatiable beast that needs taming, your love bringing him back from the world of death and destruction and into the sanctuary you created together. an endless cycle that one day you hope he can be free from, but even so, you’d do it for him for eternity if you must.

Hello! Ok so can I request a whitebeard pirates x child reader?
Basically reader has this big fat crush on shanks and everytime that shanks visit the Moby dick reader would give shanks flowers, cards, and candies
Shanks also has this huge ego boost often making comments how he's reader favorite which anger the whitebeard pirates
Ace was so ready to strangle shanks but reader gets between them and there like "Stop fighting! if you keep this up I'll go with Mr shanks and his crew!"
Ace is heartbroken, thatch is sobbing on the floor, while everyone else is stunned LOL
-👻 anon
Puppy Love (Shanks x child!reader x Whitebeard pirates)
A/N YALL GET YOUR GRILLS READY CAUSE I COOKED HERE, I loved making this im not really into crack fics so I wanted to keep it as real as possible but while still adding that spec of dramatics of it and I think I found the perfect balance
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which stands for Reader in japanese
Dividers by @/saradika
At first, the Whitebeard pirates thought it was normal. Dokucha was quite the amicable child, after all, and it was not unheard of for them to give small gifts to guests who came on the ship.
The first time Dokucha had seen the red-haired Captain was when the yonko was visiting the Moby Dick on business. Upon spotting the man Dokucha was quick to sneak into the clinic and steal some candy to hand to him.
“Here, Mister Shanks,” they said shyly, handing the candy to said man
Shanks took the candy from the child and thanked them for it
“For me?”
They nodded, a faint red hue blooming on their face as they fidgeted, their upper body spinning back and forth to keep their nerves down
He chuckles softly, giving the kid a small smile and ruffling their head
"Thank you very much, kid," he said as he turned to leave
They squealed happily once he had stepped off the boat, the red hue now taking over their face entirely as they replayed the event on their heads
The Whitebeard Pirates looked on in confusion at the small kid who had grown so fond of the red-head captain
“Ne, is he coming over again?” Dokucha questioned, lying their head on the railing watching as the Red forced slowly sailed away
“Pops needs to discuss some more loose ends with him, so he will be back soon,” Jozu answers absentmindedly
“How soon?”
He looks at the little one before shrugging
“A couple days, maybe a week.”
“Why are you so curious, Dokucha?” Izou asks with a raised brow at the child’s sudden interest
“Nothing!” They said, grinning ear to ear as they went into the ship a skip to their step on their way
The pirates brushed it off as the kid simply being excited at the fact that someone out of their family was coming to visit; they were very wrong.
On the next visit, Dokucha had begged Vista to make some flowers for them and had even sneaked into the kitchen to steal some of the edible flowers to make a small bouquet.
“Here Mister Shanks”
“For me?” Shanks asked with a slight grin on his face as he took the small bouquet and gave the little one a thankful look
“Dokucha, did you make this?”
“Yeah, I made it for you,” they mutter shyly with a shrug
Shanks bends down to the child’s height
“Thank you very much; it looks like you worked hard to make it so pretty.” he takes one of the flowers and tucks it behind their ear
“Here, now you look pretty as well.”
Their face explodes with red at the gesture, a lovesick look on their face as they watch him go
The crewmates raise their eyebrows at this behavior; Ace is the first to speak up
“Hey, that idiot is trying to steal Dokucha!” mutters Ace as he elbows Marco
“That’s just how Dokucha is; you know how friendly they are,” he says with a grunt at the hit
“No, No, Ace is onto something here; he’s definitely up to something,” agrees Thatch
Marco rolls his eyes as he leaves the two to talk their conspiracy out
Turns out he should have heeded their words as he now felt the same feeling crawling up his skin as he watched his youngest sibling yet again approaching the man with another small gift, a small golden coin they had found on their last island
At this, Shanks had started expecting it, so when the kid approached them, a smirk appeared on his face
“What do you have for me today?” he said, scooping the small child up
“I found a pretty coin for Mister Shanks!”
He backs up slightly to look at the coin the child had raised
“You’re spoiling me here, kid. What has my favorite Whitebeard up to?”
They shrug
“I played with my brothers again.”
He chuckles softly
“You’re adorable; I might have to steal you; we need some of that energy in the red Force,”
Dokucha’s response was stopped as they both turned at a hot feeling enveloping them
“Red-haired Shanks,” Ace growls, a tight grin on his face as his fire flickered around him
“Don’t get me wrong, I'm still eternally grateful for you saving and taking care of my brother, but I won’t sit still and watch you steal Dokucha.”
“Would you be so kind as to put my dear sibling down?” Thatch says, a similar tight smile on his face as he swings around his kitchen knives
Marco stared at the confrontation unfolding before him, his eyes drilling into the opposing captain, waiting for the perfect moment to swoop in
“Stop! If you hurt Mister Shanks, I will be mad at you forever! And I will go on adventures with Mister Shanks!”
Thatch gasps at their words
“Dokucha…you are breaking my heart!” He said, grasping at his chest at the sight
“Ah, Thatch-nii!” They said, jumping off Shanks's hand and running to their brother
“Is you’re heart okay?! I’m sorry! I'm not mad at Thatch-Nii!” They cry
Thatch rushes forward to the kid, embracing them in a hug
“Don’t you go running off with anyone else, okay? I won’t allow it.”
“Is your heart okay, Thatch-nii?”
He chuckles
“Don’t worry, I‘m fine. I would just miss you too much if you were to leave.”
“That being said, you are not going with Shanks.”
Shanks chuckles at this, a sly smirk growing on his face
“I don’t know. I might just steal the little one.”
“You-
“Stop” A commanding voice booms
“Ace, stand down,” Whitebeard mutters
Ace’s flame flares more as his jaw tightens
“Fine…”
Whitebeard turns his sight to the Red-Haired captain
“Boy, stop taunting my commanders.”
Shanks raises his hand in a forfeiting motion
“Couldn’t help myself,” he chuckles
“Well then, are you done messing around?” Thatch asked after a moment of silence, scooping up the child and putting them on his hip
“I think it is time for me to take my leave,” sighs Shanks, a small smile growing as he says this
“Hey, kid, say hi to Luffy for me, will ya?” He said, glancing at Ace
Ace rolls his eyes at this but grumbles out an agreement his way, a similar smile growing on his face
Shanks nods at this and takes his leave, jumping back to the Red Force and preparing to set sail
Dokucha whines at this, struggling against Thatch’s hold to try to follow after the redhead
Thatch looks down at the child struggling against his grasp
“Don’t.” He said bluntly
Marco glances at the small struggle before sighing and crossing over, pulling the kid from Thatch to sit on the other side of his hip, nodding at the chef in assurance
Dokucha tries to take advantage of the handover to wiggle their way out of their grasp but is unable to escape their brothers’ firm hold
“There isn’t escaping you, little troublemaker; no use trying,”
“But I want to see Mister Shanks off!”
“I know, bud, but you can’t run off with every stranger you see,” he said, ruffling their hair
They pout
“But it’s a handsome stranger!”
“I know…but you can’t,” he says again
“And what if they're bad people? They could steal you away, you know?”
“Mister Shanks can steal me any day,” they sighed with a dopey smile
He lets out a small chuckle
“Your something else, kid,” he says, giving their head a light pat
“No, Marco-nii, Shanks is something else! So handsome and strong!”
He scoffs at that
“What are we, invisible?” he grumbles, walking into the ship
Ace and Thatch watched them walk away, the latter looking up at his Captain
“Hey, old ma-
“You’re not going after him.”
Guys let’s be honest Dokucha is just voicing much of you are thinking, I think they are intrusive thoughts voiced out, honestly I keep re-reading and I keep laughing cause I just think of you guys doing that

Song Suggestions: Young and Beautiful - Je suis Parte & Por Una Cabeza - Carlos Gardel
The ship swayed over the cloudy swell of darkened waves, shepherding the vessel away from the Kuraigana port and to a location your captain deemed appropriate for a newlywed bride to be hidden away from her husband.
Captain Buggy D Clown was not one to shy away from anything, especially not when something as interesting as causing drama and theatrics at the expense of Lord Dracule Mihawk was present. He was eager to present this challenge, whether you or Mihawk were also eager was a completely different tale entirely.
Within the Captain’s quarters aboard the Big-Top, you struggled with the back of your dress: uncinching the rigging your ward managed to tie for you to keep your body contained within its material. A huffed and agitated smile awoke on your face, picturing this struggle in comparison to the one to come after your starlight ensemble. If the moon was as difficult to rid from your body, you could not imagine how taxing the sun would be over your skin and concealing you from your husband.
Husband. You have a husband now. A husband that would be more than agitated to know you were now out to open seas and venturing to unknown horizons, away from the celebration he carefully curated for you.
“-Everything alright in here, Starlight?” the nasally crack of Buggy’s voice cut through the wooden door, “‘Ya need help?” You chuckled darkly, attempting to pry the material from you to no avail.
“Actually, Captain,” your voice held a frantic wave within its tone, “I think I do. The back is snagged, and I can’t get the damn thing off of me.” The door slowly creaked open, after a gentle rap alerted you he was to do so. You turned yourself away to conceal your exasperation from him, the stutter in your hands giving away your agitation as you continued to fumble over the ribbons at the rear of your dress.
“Do you trust me, Doll?” you heard his voice alarmingly close to your body, enough to cause a hitch in your throat. You glanced over your shoulder, witnessing Buggy’s teal eyes glancing up through his eyelashes and lips parting in concern.
“Considering you have robbed me of my wedding night with my beau,” your warning tone cut through the air as swift as a guillotine, “Spirited me away from the unity celebrations, and-,” you huffed, turning back around and glaring out of the bay window, “Confined me to spend this time alone and isolated from all those I hold most dear: I hardly deem you worthy of my trust presently, Captain.”
Buggy’s gasp was melodical and pitched up two octaves higher than his usual cadence. You could feel the waves of anxiety rising within his shoulders and expressed through several strangled breaths.
“I-I’m sorry, Lady Dracule. I didn’t think of it from your perspective and how my actions would-.” Whatever else Captain Buggy D Clown spoke after the first four words meant very little to you. Your mind looped them repetitively, the call and roll of the words felt both surreal and magical, you could hardly think about anything else.
“-Would’ve rather stayed on shore, it would be less flashy and make the chase all the less desperate. We could turn back if-,” Buggy’s words halted as he glanced back into your eyes, noticing the distant expression with a melancholy sorrow eclipsing your painted features. “...-Are you alright, my Lady Dracule?” he asked you.
“Lady Dracule,” you repeated, your brows forming a pillar at the center of your forehead and causing a small swell to mist your eyes, “I’m Lady Dracule, now.” Buggy took a moment to glance over your features, noticing this shift of emotion permeating through your stance.
Apprehensively, he reached his hand forward and gently caressed your shoulder. The gentle squeeze broke you out of your circulating mind, looking down and meeting the eyes of the cerulean-haired captain.
“Can I help you out of this dress and into the assortment I crafted for you, my lady?” Buggy asked softly, watching as you nodded in affirmation for his fingers to set to work.
“I’ll get this off in just a minute,” he whispered, his index fingers hooking through the loops in your back and slowly releasing the garment’s hold over your body, “And then we can think about your hair, and retouch your makeup. I’ll get Cabaji to bring us a bottle of the wine we swiped from the reception, too.”
You allowed a soft giggle to fall from your parted lips, the relief from being rid of the tightness of your dress while knowing you were in capable hands. As Buggy’s fingers aided you in being free from your garment, while respectfully aiding you into the new dress, your mind wandered to your husband and what he was doing in this moment. Did he notice your departure, or was he enjoying your joint celebrations in solitude?
-
“Where,” Mihawk’s yellow eyes glared accusingly around the guests through narrowed lenses, “Is,” he advanced, Yoru drawn with the pointed tip threatening the jugular of the Captain of the Red-Force, “My wife.”
Lord Dracule Mihawk, distracted momentarily by his guests and acquaintances upon exiting the ceremony space, sought out your hand to claim within his. He blindly reached beside him, outstretching his desperate hands to shepherd you to his side, his fingers brushing nothing but air in its wake.
He noticed your absence immediately.
“Easy now, mate,” Shanks raised his arms, noticing several members of his crew withdrew their concealed weaponry and aimed it at the enraged former warlord, “Easy, easy. She’s safe, I swear this to you.”
“Where is she?” Mihawk spat, his feet sliding into an assaulting stance, interweaving his body to draw closer to the red-head’s teasing face, “What have you done with her?”
“She’s with Buggy- Oi, relax,” Mihawk’s pupils narrowed, his eyes wide and wild at the knowledge departing from Shanks’ lips, “She’s safe, it’s all a part of appeasing the tradition.” Shanks attempted to soothe over the growing temper Mihawk was steadily elevating, gesturing for his crew to holster their weaponry.
“What tradition?” Mihawk barked, pressing the sharpened tip of Yoru deeper into Shanks’ neck, not quite puncturing the skin.
“We just wanted it to be perfect, Hawk-Eyes, Shanks’ hazelnut eyes bore with no utterance of mistruth within his orbs, “And you’re a native to Kuraigana, born and raised here. This is us following your traditions to the absolute letter: crossed ‘t’s and dotted ‘i’s, mate.”
“Y-You’ve,” Mihawk stumbled over his words, darting his frantic eyes between Shanks’, “You’ve kidnapped my bride?”
“You want the map to her, Lord Mihawk?” the rational voice of Shanks’ first mate rumbled through the tense air, “I had the clown make one up, for all our sakes.” Mihawk snapped his eyes away from Shanks’ to bear into the soul of Benn Beckman. As their eyes met, Beckman fished out the tanned envelope and offered it out gruffly towards the broody and aggravated newlywed groom.
“And, are you all to just sit here and wait until I bring back my bride?” He barked at the Red-Hair crew, “Or are you coming to witness me suffer through this act of degrading humiliation?” Mihawk growled, eagerly searching through the crowd to see any contenders to refute his beckoning challenge.
“You should take your wards,” Shanks suggested, weaving his body away from the steely tip of Yoru’s point, “Your two witnesses to view your wooing.”
Zoro leant down into Perona’s ear, his brow knit with puzzlement and concern.
“I don’t follow, what is going on? Where’s our governess now?” Zoro quietly grunted into Perona’s ear, a giggle arising with her retort.
“Are you truly not following, or are you just saying that to be an imbecile?” Perona smirked, glancing up into Zoro’s serious eyes, “O-Oh, you’re serious? Okay!” Zoro patiently awaited his promised explanation, Perona thinking of the simplified version of this complex tradition to relay to him.
“In Kuraigana culture, the bride is either stolen or whisked away at a point in the evening - generally after the reception feast so the food doesn’t get cold. It looks like it’ll be a while yet before we get something to eat-,” Perona’s train of thought was broken with a growl from the green-haired apprentice.
“-Get on with it, Perona,” Zoro’s voice cut through the air gruffly, his eyes darting the surroundings for a clue of his governess’ whereabouts.
“Oh, alright. Sorry, Zoro,” Perona giggled, shaking her head and preparing her words to present once again, “The bride is then hunted by the groom and they share a moment where he must perform a task or a demonstration of artistic skill to woo and entertain his new bride. Considering she is no longer under the shroud of her own family name, but a whole new person in this case: Lady Dracule, he must win her heart under this new banner and usher her into her new life with him.”
“So, what? Is he gonna dance or something?” Zoro asked, puzzled and taken aback by the absurdity of the tradition, “Or is he gonna challenge her to a sword fight? What can he do that would woo her?”
“Zoro-...” Perona again giggled, shaking her head with a warm smile drawing her cheeks up beneath its radiance, “...-Mihawk sings.”
“Mihawk sings?” Zoro snapped his eyes over to Dracule Mihawk, watching as the lord of Kuraigana’s lips curled into a sinister snarl and brows furrowed deeper into rage.
“Two witnesses, no more,” Mihawk growled, placing the mighty blade upon his back and rolling his neck, “And we shall return within the hour.”
“Only if she’ll have you, mate,” Shanks’ grin playfully split his face, “You have to woo her. Humble yourself before her. This is your opportunity to actively pursue her,” the redhead stepped forward, clapping his right hand over Mihawk’s left shoulder.
“You never got the chance. Use this time to show her how much you want her, and then,” Shanks’ grin turned sly, glancing at Beckman who shook his head and fished out a cigarette from his breast pocket, “That’s when we can show you how radiant she is, all wrapped in sunlight.”
Mihawk’s rumbled growl cut through the air, turning on his boot heels and gesturing to Perona and Zoro with his index finger, “You two, with me. Let us depart and reclaim my bride.”
“Aye, sir,” Perona and Zoro spoke in unison, immediately springing into action and readying themselves for a short journey to find, woo and claim you with your title as Lady Dracule.
Mihawk’s fuming rage catapulted him into a near frenzy, working with haste to unroll the sails and weigh anchor, using the tide to carry his small ship and snarling at the crudely crafted map.
“This better be accurate for your sake, clown,” Dracule Mihawk spat, scrunching the map and thrusting it into his shirt pocket with his left hand. Upon withdrawing his hand from his pocket, he hovered it above his face, staring at how delicately the band of unity was glimmering under the light of dusk.
It felt balanced, as if this broad band was awaiting the day he would finally wield it atop his finger. As if his life was waiting for this moment to start, for this new role and purpose for his life to fulfill. He hardened his resolve, throwing off his outer coat and withdrawing his sleeves to his elbows. He will find you, and find you quickly.
And when he does, he will woo you.
-
If the moon-dress was the prelude to a masterpiece in composition, this dress would be a symphony to stand the test of time. Material as pastel as the celestial rocks littering the night sky sporadically danced across the midnight material depicting the sky at nightfall. In the dim light within the cave Buggy had chaperoned you into, the dress almost looked as if it was producing its own light.
“This is the most extravagant thing I have ever done with my life,” Buggy huffed a chuckle through his comment, “And that’s truly saying something, my lady. I’ve never done anything like this, and I’m almost jealous that I won’t be the one wearing it.”
“You’re more than welcome to borrow it for a performance, Captain,” you giggled, looking down at your arms that had been ornately decorated with chained droplets of beaded glass, “It is simply breathtaking.”
Glancing over at yourself in the reflective walls of the cave you had found yourself in, your hair was now softly falling in waterfalls against your back and your makeup retouched by the clown and his enthusiastic crew. You could hardly recognise the woman gazing back at you.
“As breathtaking as you are, my lady,” Buggy whispered while adjusting your hair over your shoulders, “And hopefully enough to get me back into your good graces?” He shifted his eyebrow upwards, glancing hopefully over your shoulder with widened eyes and fluttering eyelashes.
“You’re not out of the thick of it yet, dear captain,” you playfully taunted him, nose scrunched and smile growing, “It’s not only I you need to appease.”
As if on queue, a small commotion was occurring outside the cave. Elevated voices, a shuffling of feet and the clang of harsh metal meeting rock reverberated within the cave mouth: silence following such an abrasive sound.
“Okay, okay, okay,” Buggy repeated hurriedly, excitement and anxiety dancing in a dangerous fight for dominion over his cadence, “You take a seat on your throne and look all pretty,” he gestured with his hands flailing outwards, “I’ll finish lighting the candles,and then I’m gonna flee as fast my legs can carry me to give you two some privacy.”
You laughed at his excitement, turning and drawing up your heavy skirts to fan out atop the velvet-covered throne Buggy had placed down for you. Frantic clicks of flint and steel, a string of nasally curses, and a shifting of boot-heels tripping over themselves as Buggy set the final elements of his role in the ruse awaiting your spouse.
“Okay, I’m gonna-... woah,” Buggy’s words halted as he turned to view you on your throne, sitting with the elegance and radiancy that you had drilled into your many students over your career as a governess.
“‘Woah’, what, Captain Buggy?” you huffed out a small laugh, watching his eyes shifting over each element of your ensemble.
“Y-You know,” he stuttered, shifting his feet as if under the spell of hypnosis, “You’re not technically married if you haven’t consummated your union. You can always run away with me if you want to-.”
“Buggy,” you scolded him, your laughter now falling unwithheld from your lips, “For one: I am not cut out for a path of traveling piracy,” your smile continued to decorate your lips with its radiancy, “And two: I am in love with Dracule Mihawk, my husband.” That final confession shocked you, not admitting those words aloud to yourself or another before this very moment.
“Right, right, of course,” he laughed at himself, studying his handiwork as your skirts pooled over your feet and down the slight elevation over the rocks. The voices within the mouth of the cave continued to draw ever nearer, the agitation and anger almost tangibly felt the closer they came.
“This is where I take my leave, my lady,” he nervously chuckled, looking to the cave mouth with his lips split into a straight wincing line, “If I stay, the broody asshole will likely attempt to take my head and throw me into the sea.”
“In that case,” you smiled, bowing your head low to the clown, “This is where I thank you for the part you played in ensuring this day was a possibility.” Buggy gasped at your bow, taking a final moment to study you as you rose from your seated curtsey.
“You are so beautiful, my lady,” he whispered, bowing to you before turning on his heels and uttering a final sentence before picking up his sprint, “Congratulations on your successful ceremony. Save me a dance at your reception.”
Chuckling at his fleeing form, you were left in only a butterfly’s wing of solitude before three figures almost stampeded within the decorated hollow of the cave. Each of them halted, eyes wide and jaws slack as they took in their surroundings.
The ground was littered with candelabras, all lengthy wicks lit. Lighting a pathway towards the throne, tealights scattered the floor beside a long stretch of the softest white carpet. Upon the edge of the carpet, the material of your skirts pooled and the unnatural light of several stones attached to the hem illuminated the floor. Dark material shifts into soft lights at each subtle movement from your body, the stones on your arms providing a small ringing melody as you offer them a small, coy wave.
Perona’s smile rose on her cheeks, recovering the fastest of the three as she offered you a similar wave in return for your own. Zoro snapped his lips shut, smirking as he glanced between you and your beau who continued to be stupefied beneath this new radiant presentation.
“I have found you,” Mihawk whispered after taking a small moment to recover, “My bride, my beloved.” You smiled wider, taking a moment to study your husband as he began taking small and intentional steps towards you.
Perona hastily and quietly ushered Zoro over to the side, taking a seat on a large boulder and tapping the surface beside her in a gesture for Zoro to sit beside her. Without removing his eyes from the scene unfolding before him, he quickly sat on the stone and awaited Mihawk’s every chosen moment.
Electing to remain silent, you watched and hung onto every movement, utterance and breath produced as he continued on towards you. Before he fell within your proximity, he halted and inhaled a shaken breath as he humbly knelt with both knees on the floor, his hands laced and placed within his lap. Your breath hitched, eyes darted between his honey-coloured eyes which then immediately snapped shut.
He deeply inhaled a breath, his eyes remaining closed as he focussed on his movements. He lilted a rumbled hum, a tune unfamiliar to you produced from his nose and serenading you with its melody. Mihawk was singing, and he was singing for you.
“Never I’ve known love like this,
As vibrant as the seas.
I’ll sheathe my blade, and disarm my shield,
For a chance just to please.”
His eyes remained shut, lips almost cautiously relaying the lyrics as he produced them. After the small verse produced, his words waved more confidently through his lips and enunciated each spoken lyric.
Perona attempted to silence her elation by slapping her hand over her lips, her other hand finding Zoro’s knee and giving it a firm squeeze to express her excitement physically. Zoro was not faring much better, his own shock written on his face he could barely notice Perona’s hand on his knee as he gripped his thighs to stifle his surprise at Mihawk’s skillful melody.
“The way your lips summon me,
The way your eyes hold promise,
May your bed never be empty,
Should dawn be upon us.”
Mihawk’s eyes opened, his breath hitching as he witnessed the longing gaze you were offering to him. Your eyes swelled with emotions, lips parting and drawing up in a melancholy smile. Mihawk offered you a small, bashful smile as he continued to sing to you.
Your eyes never left Mihawk for a minute, watching as he knit his brows together and continued to utter promises through melody towards you.
“I will share my days with you,
For this to you I swear.
Nightfall I be by your side,
For it’s not yours alone to bear.”
He rose his knee from his kneeling into a lunge, bowing his head down and removing his hat from his head. A final promise uttered lyrically from within his skilled melody, you holding onto each word.
“The seas and sword were my first love,
The training alone be vast.
Although you were not my first to love,
May we both be each's last.”
Mihawk sucked in a baited breath, awaiting a small reprimand or disciplinary comment regarding his abilities. He was no singer nor composer, the lyrics produced alongside the melody were spur of the moment. His skills were of the sword, not of poetry and lyricism.
“Do my words and melody please you?” Mihawk whispered, his eyes holding firm to the floor as his dark curls bobbed to a lower bow, “Will you allow me the luxury of my heart, my body and my soul joining with yours, Lady Dracule?”
He elevated his head, his eyes softening and rapidly blinking to stifle the rising beat of his heart as he remained in his humility. A man such as he was not accustomed to humbling himself before anyone, doing precisely as he pleased and when he pleased to do it. With you, this was uncharted and untested waters. He was in love, and would spend the rest of his days romancing you should you ask it of him.
Truthfully, he was prepared to offer his adoration, praises and romance to you at all hours whether you asked it of him or not.
“You may have me, I am yours,” you answered him after several moments of pregnant pause, rising to your feet and offering him your right hand to take with his left, “Just as you are mine.” Mihawk released a breath he did not know he was withholding from his chest, the weight rolling off his shoulders and having him relax beneath your admission.
He took this moment to study your carefully painted lashes, noticing the subtle hints in tints and hues decorating your skin at the hands of the genius jester. The stars were reflected in your eyes, the pigments complimenting the change in darkened material pooling over your dress.
“C-Can I,” he fell over his words, closing his eyes and mentally scolding himself for his stumble, “Can I kiss you, my lady?” A small squeak from the corner of the room had you both break from your illusion that this corner of reality was not yours alone to share. You also had two witnesses.
Mihawk snapped his eyes over to the two words sitting happily on the boulder beside the decorated floor, scolding them with a single pointed look. At his momentary shift of focus, you used the opportunity to rise from your sitting position on the throne Buggy sourced for you and stooped down to collect Mihawk’s chin between your index finger and thumb.
You shifted his face back, witnessing the momentary shock as he gazed into your eyes. With a soft smile, you lowered your face and collected his lips with your own. Although he was kneeling, Mihawk was a tall individual. This position did not have your neck aching at its stoop, but was comfortable as you slowly pressed more of yourself against the former warlord.
Mihawk wrapped his arms around your waist, bunching the fabric within his hands and holding you firmly pressed against him. He parted his lips, his tongue darting out to dampen your bottom lip as he squeezed your hips within his wide fingers. You hummed against his lips, your fingers raking over his beard to entangle within his curled locks. He smiled into the kiss, rising from the floor and fully bracing himself against you with his forearms circling your waist.
The ruffles of the skirts below you illuminated several of the rocks littering the material, a gasp fleeing from Perona the longer she stared at the balled objects adoring the fabric.
“The rocks light up when they move!” she hushed her whisper to Zoro who waved his hand to silence her as he witnessed the loving embrace between his lord and lady. Although Zoro would never admit it aloud, he was enjoying every minute of witnessing such joy between two people he held most dear.
Breaking from the kiss, your eyes half lidded as they gazed up at your husband. His expression mirrored your own, gazing lovingly down at you with a soft smile gently creasing the corners of his eyes.
“Let’s go home,” Mihawk whispered, pressing a gentle kiss on your forehead and hovering his lips over your skin as he cradled your head against his chest, “I hope Shanks and his crew have left as some wine.”
“I’m more concerned about the food,” you giggled, prompting Mihawk to break away from your forehead and smooth his hands over your hair, “All I’ve had to eat and drink today is that single piece of honeycomb, a glass of wine for breakfast, that small sip of unity wine shared with you, and a glass of wine with the clown when he prepared me in this ensemble.” His eyes widened, looking into your smiling face in shock. You laughed up at him, raising your hand up to caress his cheek.
“You’ve only had wine and honeycomb for the whole day, my beloved?” his tone held a small air of caution within.
“Yes, my heart,” you huffed out a small sigh of laughter at witnessing his agitation. Although his anger never left, the small twitch of his lip and hitch in his breath indicated his pleasure of receiving such a high honor of that title.
“Well that will simply not do,” he growled, shifting you in his grip to slip his arm around your waist and usher you through the cave mouth, “I have some sourdough and salted butter on the ship. We’ll break into that before we partake in the reception feast.” You smiled up at your husband, watching as he wordlessly gestured for your two wards to follow behind you.
Where Perona could not stop staring at your dress, the only thing within Zoro’s focus was how you looked up at Mihawk, and how Mihawk looked down at you. The love you held for each other within that expression alone had a pang sound within his heart, and caused soft doubts to shift his perspective.
Whether spoken aloud to you or not, Zoro’s quest in becoming the world's greatest swordsman would one day rip this fresh union apart. He would kill Mihawk to claim that title, and that would surely mean the destruction of your happiness.
As you made your way through the sandy coast and onto Mihawk’s vessel, Zoro continued to seek out different ways to achieve his goals and leave you both to thrive in your happiness.
-
From the peaceful drift into the Kuraigana port, to the reunification with your guests, Mihawk would not allow you a moment to break away from him. Hollars and cheers at your arrival were quickly silenced as they took in the next aspect of your ensemble.
Now exposed under the light of the moon, at each small movement of your legs beneath the dark skirt, the illumination of bioluminescent rocks shook and roared to life. The fanning material danced at your feet, the weight of the many layers of broad skirts heavy upon each footstep. You truly appreciated Mihawk’s presence at your side to enable you to lean against him for support each time the gown pulled at your waist and hips.
Your bodice was encrusted with similar trails of glassy stones, the overlaying chains from your neck to your waist forming the unity of constellations between both yours and Mihawk’s birth signs. Buggy had put an excessive amount of thought into such a piece, pooling all his knowledge to provide you the best reiteration of starlight he could truly muster.
The outdoor reception space was littered with soft strings of light, a circular wooden floor elevated a step up as a makeshift dance area. Several clusters of seats were available off to the sides of the wooden floor they were standing on, where a small quartet of musicians lay off to the side of the area and softly painting the air with their melodical portraiture.
Mihawk paid his guests little mind, other than a curt nod or a subtle smile to your former students. The many staff continued to present platters of bite-sized ensembles, each small taste of food attuned to both yours and Mihawk’s refined palates. Each time a tray was presented to you, you would break your conversation away from your guests and thank the staff with a warm smile on your face.
As he showcased you to his guests, he watched as the fatigue of the day was slowly catching up with you. The little stumble of your feet under the weight of the dress, the small waver in your smile when you assumed none were watching, the way you clung to his side: he was observant of your every moment and there at your side to catch you should you fall. He was yours to do with what you will, clay awaiting molding into the husband you desired him to be.
Music began to play at a more elevated volume, the guests encouraging you with a soft cheer to get you to open the dance floor together. Mihawk looked subtly off to you, noticing you were struggling beneath the layers of your skirts. No matter how vast your training in becoming a debutant yourself, nothing could have prepared you to carry the amount of weight from rocks of various shapes and sizes.
“Beloved, are you-,” Mihawk began, his short question being stolen from him by the nasally interruption of Captain Buggy D Clown.
“-If I may, my lady Dracule,” Buggy’s broad, painted smile laid brilliantly over his lips, “I have a small surprise for you.”
“Oh?” you asked, brows elevating up your forehead in curiosity.
“Your resume presented to the world government several years back indicated you were an excellent dancer, trained the best of them attending here today, in fact,” he complimented you bowing in a low and crouched stoop.
“I am a competent dancer, yes,” you admitted, eyeing him curiously as he picked at your hem with his gloveless fingers, “And I do enjoy the movement when the moment is called upon.”
“Then it would be such a shame should the moment be taken from you under the weight of this dress, my lady,” Buggy smirked up at you, a silver object playfully juggling between his fingertips. Before you realized what the object was, Buggy precautioned both you and Mihawk, “Bird-Boy, stand back. My lady, close your eyes and hold your breath.”
Immediately doing what you were told, you heard the ignition of a flint-lighter and the warm flash of open flame illuminating your eyelids to a deep crimson color. Gasps and screams from your guests informed you of all you needed to comprehend at this moment.
Captain Buggy D Clown had lit your dress on fire.
A wild rush of heat expanded over the base of your skirt, the tongues of blaze lapping at your skin and immediately cooled with bursts of icey air. As you felt the rising warmth begin to die down, you opened your eyes to witness the small, illuminant rocks burst and break to soothe over the licks of flame. Upon each burst of impact, the color of your dress would change to a crisp white, to a warm blue, down to a dark hue of red, all the way to a dim purple.
At the last burst of rock sparking and spurting over the gown, the arrangement that remained was a softer, pale dress that halted just below your knees. The slit from the hem on your left side tastefully elevated to just below the angle your thigh met at the curvature of your hips. The dress fanned out, dipping in at your waist and cinching in your bust. There were no remaining rocks nor combustive fabric on your body, much to your delight.
After you adjusted to your new weight distribution, feeling lighter and more energetic already, the picture you were left with standing before you was Buggy’s throat being impaled on the smaller blade formerly hung around your husband’s neck. Your eyes widened and your body moved faster than your mind did to halt the scene unfolding before you.
“First you kidnap my wife, now you light her on fire?” Mihawk barked, slashing at his throat while Buggy stuttered over his words, “It seems as if you are trying so desperately to get me to kill you, Clown. I should have you flogged and cast into the seas for your idiocy-.”
“-My heart, I am unharmed,” your voice broke him away from his heavy threats, his hands immediately withdrawing from the clown to cradle your cheeks within his palms. You kept your face calm, reassuring him with your expression alone that you remained unaltered and unharmed.
He floated his eyes between yours, briefly dipping to your lips before withdrawing back up to your eyes. You nodded within his hands in an act to reassure him further, your smile never faltering. After a hushed moment’s pause, Mihawk could no longer contain himself.
Hastily, he dipped his face down, lips colliding with yours and drawing several cheers from your guests. He hungrily consumed your lips, molding and shaping them beneath his with the desperation you were yet to see its equal. He swooped his hands behind your head, collecting the soft waves Buggy had created for you in fistfuls as he desperately joined his lips with yours. You slowly raked your hands over his waist, holding him close and reassuring him with soft circles against his body with your thumbs.
Squeaking against his lips at a small tug of your hair, Mihawk immediately loosened his aggressive grasping of your against you, and softly traced his fingertips over your jaw and set to cradle the scruff of your neck. The world faded from existence the longer Mihawk held you against his lips, folding himself against you and holding you in momentary blissful stasis.
Withdrawing his lips from yours, he gazed into your eyes while briefly panting to catch his breath. Shock eclipsed your features the exact moment you broke away, the cheers from your guests ignited the silence within the ringing of your ears.
“That was a good ‘en, Hawkie!” Shanks swayed in his speech as he slurred in his stupor, “Do it again!”
“Quiet down, Captain,” Beckman grunted, gently clapping Shanks on the shoulder, “That’s our exterminator you’re talking about. She deserves a little more respect than you’re offering the both of them presently.”
“Right, right. I’ll switch to water for a bit, Becks,” Shanks nodded, looking over at his crew and gesturing to the water barrels with his tankard. Mihawk never strayed his eyes from your features, constantly ensuring you were unharmed from the prior blaze.
“May I dance with you, my beloved?” Mihawk quietly offered, removing his hand from your neck and apprehensively outstretching his hands to you. You smiled at his soft gesture, immediately placing your right hand within his left and allowed him to chaperone you onto the dance floor.
At the swell of music, you hastily pressed your right hand against Mihawk’s left shoulder while he elevated your right hand to extend to the side. His left hand found the middle of your waist and pulled you against himself.
You carefully extended your left knee over Mihawk’s leg, the slit withdrawing itself tastefully to reveal your thigh to your guests. At that gesture, Mihawk immediately readjusted his stance: shifting to claim the base of your thigh within his hands as he awaited the appropriate rhythm to dictate his momentum.
“The Clown read your resume,” Mihawk smirked down at you, beginning to shift and maneuver you effortlessly within his arms, “But alas, I have not.” He nudged you with his left hand, following his lead by twirling your body within his arms and releasing his hold over you.
Both legs now firmly on the ground, you shifted your hips and began to rhythmically follow the melody rising with your feet. Holding your arms perpendicular to the ground, Mihawk collected your left hand and pressed a small kiss atop your wrist before raking his digits over your forearm.
“You never read my resume before you hired me?” You called over your shoulder, as he raised your left hand to cradle his neck behind you.
“Never,” Mihawk smiled, placing his right hand over your right and his left over your stomach. He began ushering you both with a rapid sway of his steps, a maneuver you flawlessly followed with each stride. He twirled you away, holding contact with your right arm before reclaiming it in his left hand.
“Then,” your puzzled expression remained atop your features as you once again faced Mihawk, “Why was I hired here? What drew you to me?” Your beau’s smile elevated, his eyes cracking at the corners as his nose scrunched upwards.
“Truthfully, my beloved,” he confessed, leaning forwards to indicate for you to fall backwards in your steps, “I am not certain what drew me to you. A feeling, I suppose.”
“A feeling?” you elevated your eyebrow and smirked up at him, “Something as simple as a feeling?”
Mihawk chuckled, twirling you away from him and catching your forearms within his grip, ushering your back to meet his chest. You huffed out a small exasperated breath, shaking your head and swaying with him to the rhythm.
“A feeling,” you repeated in a whisper, attempting to not allow your disdain from presenting too prominently against your features. Mihawk released your right arm, leaning forward and collecting your chin between his thumb and index finger.
“Allow me the luxury of rephrasing, my beloved,” Mihawk whispered, drawing your forehead to press against his while he moved his body from behind yours to face you once more.
Drawing up his left hand, he collected your right and his right hand found your back once more. His smile continued to highlight his face, a smile you had come to adore painted on his face beneath his mustache.
“From the moment I met you all those years ago, I adored you as a skilled governess,” he confessed, stepping backwards while you followed with your forward step, “The way you managed a variety of individuals: debutants, gentlemen and all those in between. Even the witless marines-.”
“-Mihawk,” your warning tone was broken with a small laugh, your smirking reprimand forming a smile over your lips, “Be kind.”
“Apologies, my beloved,” he snickered out a small chuckle, ushering for you to step outwards before hooking you back into his arms, “I never assumed you would accept a job at such short notice in the first place.”
“I had a lull in my waiting list,” you shrugged, turning to face him with a broader smile on your face, “And the stuttering scribbles were intriguing.” Mihawk laughed at your reference to his original summons for you to begin your tutelage of the two wards under his care.
As the melody swelled, he sighed out a breath, once again placing your forehead against his own and furrowing his brows. In a low whisper, he relayed his final confession to you. There was no room for humor, nor was there a place for the utterance of a lie within his breath.
“Before there was a possibility of joining with you in matrimony, I simply thought: ‘that was that. Time to live my life as an unmarried swordsman until the next generation rises up to claim that title from me’,” he smiled, halting his movement as the music ended its swell, “I never thought I would be training that aforementioned generation to take my life, nor did I imagine this twist of circumstances leading you to be within my arms now.”
You smiled a melancholy smile, only half elevated on your face at his confession. Trailing your hand over his shoulder, you extended it up to collect his whiskered cheek within your palm, soothing over his bottom lip with your thumb.
“And is this the life you wanted for yourself, Mihawk?” you whispered up at your beloved, searching his eyes for more truth within, “To live in momentary matrimonial peace before Zoro claims your title alongside your life?”
“This is the life that I have forged for myself,” he whispered against your thumb, pressing a kiss against the padded tip, “And I will hold onto it with every breath I still use to sustain my lungs. I love you, my wife. I am yours, and you are mine, for as long as we both shall live,” he withdrew your hand from his lips and circled it over his neck, “And for whatever comes next.”
“For whatever comes next,” you mirrored back with closed eyes and lips parted, “Sounds like an awfully exciting adventure, my heart.” Reopening your eyes, you witnessed the smile once again return to Mihawk’s lips.
At the music’s end, he swooped down to claim another kiss from you. Applause rang through the air, prompting you to part from the oscillation as hastily as you had it begin. The Red-Hair pirate crew and the Buggy-Pirates had begun offering each other their outstretched hands to lead them onto the dance floor.
You felt a small tap on your shoulder at the exact moment a soft, pale hand with pink-polished fingernails brushed with Mihawk’s own shoulder. You shook your head, confused as you were ushered into the awaiting arms and broad shoulders of Roronoa Zoro.
His smile was shallow, his mind plagued behind it with the smog of heavy thoughts. Extending out his hand, you took it and curtseyed as he bowed with you. Ushering you to circle the floor with a practiced waltz, Zoro continued to twirl you in silence.
“You have gotten much better, Zoro,” you complimented him, met with only a single hum in acknowledgement. You furrowed your brows, glancing between his bourbon-hued orbs while he refused to draw his gaze up to meet yours.
“Did you enjoy the drinks? I have yet to sample the wine presented at the reception-,” you were cut off as Zoro’s thoughts spoke atop your own.
“-I am going to claim his life from him, do you understand?” he gruffly commented, glaring over at Perona and Mihawk as he spun her within his arms with a broad grin and her unwithheld smile mirroring in return, “I intend to kill lord Dracule Mihawk.” You almost stumbled in your dance, recovering quickly as he continued to twirl you.
After taking a moment to collect your rapidly lashing thoughts, you inhaled a large gulp of breath and extended your exhale slowly through your lips.
“If that is what your destiny is leading you to fulfill,” you reached up your hand and collected his cheek, turning him to meet your eyes, “It is not for me to understand, nor is it my desire to halt you from achieving your goal.” He gasped at your words, stumbling over his feet and barely recovering.
“You won’t ask me not to?” Zoro’s breath hitched on his exhale, searching your eyes for any cause for further stumble, “You won’t plead for me to find a new goal? To settle for being second best and remain that way until we’re all cracked and graying?”
Giggling at his comment, you extended your arm out and circled it over his head: twirling the conflicted man within your arms.
“I married the ‘World’s Greatest Swordsman’, Dear,” you noted, your smile never wavering as you rejoined him within your arms, “It is an occupational hazard.”
Zoro’s surprise lingered on his features, his eyes misting over with the swell of emotions he did not prepare himself to express this night.
“And between us-,” you leant up to his ear, using this opportunity to draw him into a warm and encumbering embrace, “-I would rather it be you. You are someone we both trust,” you withdrew him from your arms and smiled whimsically up at him, “Someone who will grant him the luxury of a swift and merciful departure from this life, should you both be ready to take that step.”
Where you assumed he would grunt out a gruff groan, you were shocked when he leant further into your arms and circled his forearms around your waist. He nuzzled into your neck, his shoulders beginning to sink against the weight of his confliction.
“You trust me?” he choked within his soft whisper, “You trust me to give him an honorable death?” His shoulders shuddered within your arms, you immediately drew your hands up to caress his moss-coloured locks.
“Of course I trust you, Zoro. Just, if you were to grant me one simple favor,” he withdrew from your embrace, continuing to hold your waist as he stared down and awaited further instruction, “Please don’t kill him tonight?” Zoro’s laughter cut through the air, drawing many eyes over to your location as you joined him in his unbridled laughter.
“I wouldn’t dream of it, my lady,” he chuckled, briefly joining his forehead against your own and scrunching his nose with his smile.
“Good boy,” you complimented him with a single tap on his shoulder, “And your dancing really has improved.” You nodded to his feet, noticing how effortlessly he was shepherding you throughout the movements.
“I learnt from the best, my lady,” he winked down at you, his golden drooped earrings glinting within the refraction of the lights.
As the melody crescendoed from one song into the next, you twirled from within Zoro’s arms and immediately met your right hand against a cool piece of metal, curving beneath your fingertips.
“If I may, my lady,” the cool rumble of Sir Crocodile reverberated within your chest and shot a tingle up your spine. Although no malice was withheld in his tone, the danger was always present with a man such as he.
“Sir Crocodile,” you nodded, focussing your body on allowing him to lead you throughout the floor, “I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your beautiful dress you crafted for me.”
“I do plan on collecting that debt from the both of you, my lady,” he smirked down at you with a broad grin. His eyes held a bored malice within his purple orbs, hunching down to claim your body within his arms. The impressive height he towered over you had you feeling smaller within his grasp, an advantage you planned on gaining back from him with your wit.
“And what would you ask of me, Sir?” you smiled up at him, twirling within his arms and circling your body around his back. You drew your fingers over his flesh, watching the visible shudder arising beneath the movement, “I am a simple governess-.”
“-You are Lady Dracule, now,” he retorted, gazing down at you through the corner of his eyes, “A lady who has sway and leverage over a lord. A lady who holds the heart of such a man as he, the ‘World’s Greatest Swordsman’. A lady who-.” You hastily pressed your fingers atop the golden hook, your eyes baring dangerously into his own.
“-Who was and forever will be-,” your low tone had Crocodile taken aback at your statement, “-A simple governess.”
“And what would a simple governess be able to offer me?” his amused grin parted his lips and elevated his brows. The silvery mark over his cheeks and nose had the purple hues holding more danger within their orbs, “Music and dance lessons, I have hardly a use for.”
“A governess who has done all a governess could do here,” you smiled up at him, leading him into a twirl, your spin prompting almost a laugh to fall from his lips, “Tamed and trained two unruly youths, along with having one of the world’s most powerful men fall to their knees and beg to claim me as their own.”
The smirk of Sir Crocodile rose on his lips, his words beginning to form behind his teeth only to be halted by a final word of warning from you.
“Whenever you desire such a woman to perform such an impossible and improbable task as this,” you silenced him with your words, “You know where I will be.”
At that, you bowed a low curtsey to him and attempted to flee from his arms, only for the hook to catch the crook of your elbow and tug you back into his arms for his final words.
“An expert tamer of unruly individuals,” he whispered in your ear, the ghost of his last cigar lingering on his lips as his breath met with the shell of your ear, “I shall keep you in mind for when such a purpose arises.” Unclasping your arm from within his hook, Sir Crocodile took his leave of you with a final bow.
You shook off his words, the next partner finding themselves within your arms whipped their cerulean hair against your cheek as they spun you on your toes three times in a circle.
“I truly am sorry about the kidnapping, my lady,” Buggy uttered with a warm smile, “And I am only partly apologetic for the glorious blaze.” Although you had met both Buggy and Sir Crocodile at the same time, you felt much more comfortable being wielded within his arms than the experience prior.
Buggy released you, clapped his hands three times and stomped his feet rhythmically to the music. You laughed, mirroring his posture and his rhythm back at him. His eyes widened, heart swelling at you matching his exaggerated movements and prompting him to produce some far more elaborate motions.
He was a joy to dance with, his own starlight shining within his teal eyes and reflecting back onto his various assortment of formal attire. Although no longer wearing a frill-neck collar, his cravat had just as many ruffles fluffing at his jaw.
“I am not sorry in the slightest for either,” you admitted, your own nod and spin on your toes keeping Buggy mirroring your movements first before stepping in again to claim you in his arms.
“Not even the kidnapping?” he winced out a small apprehensive grin.
“No, it was an enjoyable experience,” you confessed, laughing in his arms as he assumed the waltz position and stepped in time to the swell of music, “I especially enjoyed the wine.”
“Then you have found the perfect match in Mihawk,” he nodded, scrunching up his nose at the thought, “Personally, I don’t know how you both drink that vinegary piss. I prefer the sweets to compliment and mask my saltiness. Rum is best.”
“I thank you for your compliments, captain,” you smiled at him.
“About the vinegary piss?” his brows furrowed in confusion, his smile scrunching into a soft pout. You laughed at his comment, shaking your head at him.
“About the perfect match,” you confessed, feeling the end of the music calling to you. Buggy chuckled, offering you a small bow before dismissively waving his hand at you and uncharacteristically turning on his heel.
You were puzzled at that final gesture, not understanding where such an expression was necessary before you felt a hand clasp around your waist.
“‘S not you, love,” the voice of a red-haired captain uttered beside you, “He still is hung up on our old childhood rivalry.”
“Ah,” you gasped in understanding with a curt nod, turning in his arm to face him. Dancing with Shanks was an occurrence you were privy to experiencing from time to time aboard the Red-Force with his crew. His attitude was always playful and light with you, always a gentleman.
“You truly look spectacular tonight, Vile Exterminator,” he complimented you, shifting his dancing position to usher you with his right hand in light of his missing left hand. Joining now both of your right hands, you both stepped in and out before twirling under his arm.
“Thank you, Red-Haired Rat,” you smirked at him, feeling a pair of eyes watching you dance within Shanks’ arms.
“I think the big man wants a word,” Shanks confirmed your suspicions, nodding over to his steel-haired first mate, extinguishing his cigarette with his boot heel against the gravel road beside the dancefloor. Shanks twirled you twice more before you were flung from his arm and into the awaiting and ill-practiced hands of Benn Beckman.
“Sorry, my lady,” he uttered, his legs awkwardly swaying him from side to side with you within his arms, “I’m no good at this formal dancin’. I don’t do this.”
“I know, Benn,” you smiled at him with a soft, close-lipped grin, “But I do appreciate the effort.” He hummed with a curt cough in response, truly feeling out of place with this genre of dance.
“About what’s to come,” he gruffly coughed, attempting to spin you on the dancefloor as easily as he could ask his body to perform such a skill, “I don’t want you to be uncomfortable.” You sighed out a small huff of breath, shaking your head at him as he continued to explain to you.
“There’s a lot of knots,” he confessed with a winced, grimacing smile, “I mean, a lot of knots.”
“I trust you,” you shrugged, feeling his tension rising in his shoulders and stance. You halted the elaborate dance, ushering him off to the side of the dancefloor and opting to sway with him to the beat while he aired his concerns.
“I don’t want you to be uncomfortable with the experience,” he confessed, the gray tint of his eyes holding you firmly within his vision, “Some of the knots are in-... -a few key places.”
Your rapid and unwavering blink told Beckman all he needed to know regarding his apprehension.
“It was my own fault for asking this in the first place, Benn,” you confessed again with a shrug, “And, I reiterate: I trust you. We’ve known each other for years, and of all those aboard the Red-Force,” you feigned a small hum of deep thought, before smiling up at the burly first-mate, “I do trust you the most.”
“I hope your trust isn’t misguided, my lady,” he grunted, your left hand being claimed by a presence at your side. The small, almost invisible smile, from Beckman informed you that the Rat was once again at your side.
“And, she’s mine again,” Shank’s playful tone cut in, peeling you away from Beckman and onto the dancefloor once more. He ushered you into a skilled twirl, your smile once again returning to your face as the swell of music reached the peak and began its crescendo towards the final.
As Shanks made to draw you into another embrace at his chest, you felt the tug of your waist pull you back within familiar and comfortable arms. A warm smile and a flush rose to your cheeks, humming as you lent into his chest.
“Missed me, beloved?” the man behind you held an air of confidence, turning you within his arms as you looked up at him through half-hooded eyes.
“Always, my heart,” you retorted, elevating your arms to seek out the nape of his neck. He hummed at your confession, mirroring your adoration down at you, “Shall we have a rest? Enjoy some mead and begin the fire?”
“A fire?” the elated voice of the cerulean-haired clown-captain called out in joy, “We’re having a fire like the good old days?” Shanks hesitantly walked beside Buggy, offering him a small smile and confirming with him.
“Just like the old days,” Shanks nodded, looking between Buggy and Mihawk, “Back when Roger made us collect the wood, but wouldn’t let us near the flint and steel.”
“And look who’s got the spark now, boys!” Buggy’s crackled cackle and his powerful stance prompted laughs to rise among the guests. Beckman shook his head, wordlessly directing the Red-Hair crew to begin building a fire for you and your husband to enjoy.
You nuzzled into the warm and exposed chest of your husband, feeling the weight shift from you against him as he slightly elevated you off your feet.
“I think sitting down is a good idea,” you confessed, looking down at your worn shoes and rapidly swelling feet from the elaborate dancing and carrying the weighty dress.
“Then that is what we will do, my beloved,” Mihawk smiled softly down at you, pressing his forehead against your own as he enjoyed the feeling of holding you in his arms once again.
-
Sitting within the arms of your husband, the crackle of the fire illuminated the guests that remained behind at the castle, some setting up bedrolls and pitching tents within the surroundings.
Mihawk hooked his arm around your shoulder, drawing you against himself and pressing soft kisses against your temple while whispering sweet phrases and poetry within your ear. His beard tickled at each short utterance, prompting a giggle to fall from not only the words, but the feeling of his beard against your skin.
Shanks was the first to notice the small lull in atmosphere, a fiendish grin finding purchase against his lips as he refilled his tankard from the barrel of mead.
“Alright, you lot. According to the customs of Kuraigana,” Shank’s stumbling and partially inebriated voice slurred, “We all know what comes next for you two. We’ve ‘gotta follow all of the traditions of the land. You know, so the ghostly hag is happy.”
“What are you implying, Red-Hair,” Mihawk’s prior warm tone cracked under its now icey exterior, “Surely you don’t mean-.”
“-Why the ‘Bedding Ceremony’ of course!” Shanks attempted to rise to his feet, stumbling backwards and momentarily sitting upon the lap of his first mate, who apprehensively caught him. “Thanks big man,” he mumbled, rising successfully to his feet and thrusting out his tankard, “You go up there with your Sunshine bride, and we wait out here and make as much noise as we can while you perform your husbandly duties.”
A warm flush rose to your cheeks, littering your face with the warmth of blood swelling to the tips of your ears. You could feel the rapid pulse beating in your eardrums, your heart stampeding your racing mind of all thoughts of what was yet to come.
“Then you come and rejoin us as one flesh,” Shanks concluded, saluting Mihawk with his broad tankard, “And we drink to the happy couple, and carry off our celebrations into the wee hours of the morn.”
“Is this truly a custom of this land, my heart?” you uttered quietly to the broody bearded man at your side, his attention snapping over towards you. His eyes softened as his heart swelled, lips parting while drawing up his right hand to caress your cheek.
“Unfortunately it is, my beloved,” he whispered with a half-smile, “And a custom we need not adhere to should you find discomfort in such a feat.”
You allowed a small giggle to fall from your lips, leaning into Mihawk’s gentle caress and pressing a soft kiss on the heel of his palm.
“It could be worse,” you allowed the giggle to rise in volume as your smile broadened, “In Germa-Kingdom, the guests watch the act while they throw sugar-coated almonds at the newlyweds in the hopes it will aid in producing male offspring.” You placed your hand over Mihawk’s, his still holding your cheek as his smile mirrored your own.
“I suppose this custom is not so bad, then,” Mihawk chuckled, rising to his feet and offering you out his hand, “Shall we, my beloved?”
“I suppose it is time,” you smiled in return, placing your hand within his and allowing him to hoist you up from your position on the log. Mihawk’s brows creased, mild agitation forming at the center of his forehead. Before you could ask him what was bothering him, he turned his head to Beckman: who was already rising to stand.
The blush returned as your eyes widened, almost forgetting what you had requested of the cursed moss-agate ring on your unity finger.
“Beckman,” Mihawk’s agitation growing in depth as the hoarse growl rumbled in his throat, “In light of the fact this is part of the covenant pact forged with the ring-.”
“-I would not lay a single finger unnecessarily on your wife, lord Mihawk,” Beckman’s whiskey voice hummed as he inhaled his cigarette to the filter end, “Would you prefer it be Shanks in his current stupor using his right hand and teeth?”
“Absolutely not,” Mihawk barked at the suggestion.
“Then I will make it quick and precise,” Beckman reassured him with a curt nod, “Follow up in twenty minutes, and your bride will be awaiting you to unwrap her within your marriage bed.”
Beckman outstretched the crook of his elbow, a satchel containing what you presumed to be your sun-dress shrugged over his shoulder. You apprehensively withdrew your hand from Mihawk’s, giving him one more longing look before you allowed yourself to be ushered into the halls of Castle Kuraigana.
You both walked in silence, unsure of what words needed to be spoken between you before you engaged in this next aspect of your night together. The silence was peaceful, the soft tranquility you had not experienced since beginning this venture of matrimony. You were almost thankful this moment was granted to you to share with one of your most respected acquaintances in your time as a governess.
He chaperoned you into the halls, finding the door that led into the suite allocated to both you and Mihawk as the lord and lady of Kuraigana. In the wake of the soft tranquility, anxiety at the anticipation of what’s to come awoke within your chest. Your heart elevated its rhythmic thundering, your mind beginning to swirl and race as the anticipation only grew.
“Take a moment, my lady,” Beckman’s soothing voice hummed at you, “All the time you need, alright? It’s a lot of changes to adjust to, and I would never dream of rushing you.”
“Thank you, Benn,” you exhaled, rolling your neck and attempting to stifle the rise in your anxious thoughts. After a few small breaths, you reopened your eyes and smiled to yourself as you felt finally ‘ready’ to begin this new chapter of your life.
The door shut behind the first-mate of the Red-Hair pirates, you made your way behind the dressing screen. You silently thanked Buggy for ensuring this garment was easier for you to remove than the one prior, but anticipation rose in your chest as Beckman revealed a satchel to you.
“This is going to be extremely difficult to do whilst blindfolded, my lady,” he gruffly chuckled, retrieving several golden strands of linked chains from within the canvas bag, “Are you certain this is adhering to the covenant you made with the aetherial pest?”
“To quote my own words, Benn,” you shook your head and straightened your shoulders, “‘Sunlight: a dress that meets the intensity of the sun with its rays of gold and copper. An accumulation of material so outrageously forbidden, it be intended for your eyes alone with its purpose. A dress so scantily designed that you will find none to ever match its equal in both color and provocative appearance’.” Your voice mocked your own recollection, prompting Beckman to chuckle at your tone.
“Well then, there may be a small hiccup in our plan,” he shrugged, taking out a strip of lengthy material and beginning to fold it in half. Upon measuring the half-width, Beckman used his canine teeth to puncture the fabric and tear it into two, thick strips.
“What do you mean, Benn?” your eyes followed his movements with both intrigue and curiosity.
“For his eyes alone,” he quoted back at you, chuckling as he handed you one of the strips, “Looks like I won’t be the only one experiencing sensory deprivation in this little encounter, my lady.” Taking the fabric from his outstretched hands, your brows knit together before the realization hit you.
“You’ll have to wear a blindfold too.”

"I know you are, but this is important, okay?" Sabo whispers giving her a quick kiss on the Temple
"Once the belt is on, you just have to make sure Enel confessed to what he did," Zoro, a friend of Luffy from the police force, explained
“That should be easy; he always gloats about it.”
Ace nods in agreement; they were sure to get the confession
"All we have to do is stay calm," he whispers to her
Ace finally manages to secure the belt to her hip and pulls her into his body, rubbing her back to reassure her that everything will turn out fine.
“That applies to you guys. Please don’t jump on the guy, even after we get him. I will not have you guys thrown in jail because of that bastard.”

"No promises."

Her shivers increase as the man of the hour slowly approaches her
She feels her heartbeat rise as he neared her, doing her best to avoid his gaze and stand as strong and straight as possible to prevent him from picking out how truly nervous she actually was.
“Finally showed your face? you ran away yesterday you damn bitch; you dare run away from your me?”
“I -I’m sorry you told me you didn’t want me there…”
He just laughed at her excuse
“Don’t you dare tell me bullshit like that. I expect you to stay beside me like a good little follower.”
He continues walking towards her
“Besides, I wasn’t done talking to you yet before you cowardly left.”
“You hit me…again”
He just smirks as he reaches her
“And I will do it again; maybe this time I won’t stop until I break every bone in your pathetic little body,” he said, smirking and raising his hand to hit her
She closes her eyes, waiting for the hit, only for her to hear a scream of pain coming from Enel instead and a familiar warmth on her face
She opens her eyes seeing a wall of fire in front of her, quickly recognizing the wall of fire from Ace’s and Sabo’s Mera-Mera fruit
Enel is stunned; Ace is standing in front of her, with Sabo being right behind him with a cold smile on his face.
“Do not touch a single strand of her hair again,” Ace says sternly
“Or what he growls, you can’t touch a hair on me, lest you want that school of yours to pay the price; you think they will believe a bunch of nobodies over me?”
“Are you okay, Reader?” Luffy asks, glancing at her slightly behind his brothers
“Im okay,” she said, taking off her belt
“Hey Enel”
Enel eyes narrow as he tries to calm his raging fury
“What?… What the hell do you want now?”
“Maybe they won’t believe some ‘nobodies,’ but maybe they will believe you,” she said, showing him the hidden mic with a grin
“you fucking bitch… he mutters, his electricity sparking” only to pause at the feel of something touching his head
“Enel, you are under arrest for battery and domestic abuse,” Zoro growls
Once he heard what Zoro said, he burst into laughter
“You have no evidence!”
“I witnessed everything, including you trying to hit her, and she has audio proof of your abuse,” Zoro snaps back, cuffing the self-proclaimed God
“You little who-
His words are quickly interrupted as the oldest of the brothers delivers a swift punch to his face
“Shut up, you’re done for, asshole,” Ace growls
“Hey, he just assaulted me. Are you not going to do anything?! I want to press charges,” Enel screams, glaring at Zoro
“I didn’t see anything,” he says with a smirk, pulling him along to the police car and saying his goodbyes to Luffy on the way
“It’s over…” Reader mutters, letting out a sigh of relief as she throws herself on one of the park’s benches
“you guys actually pulled it off.”
"Yeah, we did," Luffy replies happily with a proud grin
"Enel won't be causing trouble for you anymore, not when he's in jail," Ace adds with a smirk
"Are you sure you're alright?" Sabo asks, concerned, as he joins them
"You're shivering.”
She sniffles, tears flowing down her cheeks
“hah?? Reader?!” Sabo fusses confused
“ I love you guys so much,” she says, pulling them into a hug
“We love you too, baby sis,” Ace replies, hugging back tightly
“You’re family; we’ll do anything for you,” Sabo comments as he joins in the hug with Ace
“We’re happy we were able to help; we only wish we could have done it sooner,” comments Luffy
“No..you were just in time.”
Im sorry y’all, but look forward to more Rayleigh and shakky action, got a request for them, anyone has any suggestions in what the fic could be about?

All The Things He Said
Eustass Kid x F!Reader
Warnings: Angst, reader got them mommy issues, Kid being a massive asshole, edited best to small brain abilities
A/N: Smaller text is the strawhats talking. Didn't have enough colors to separate them all equally. This is based off an ask but I accidentally deleted it. I feel like I kinda dropped the ball on this one but idk
~~~
It was much too quiet on the Victoria Punk. No yelling, talking, or sounds of footsteps, even. A pin dropping could sound like an explosion, with how quiet it was. The silence left a thick feeling of unease in your stomach, making you finally decide to leave your room.
Jumping out of bed, you stretch before putting on some clothes. Taking a step into the hallway, a gust of cold air hits you like a sack of bricks. It bit at your skin and left you shivering. Turning around, you grab the blanket that covered you and Kid’s shared bed. While it was huge, the fact it smelled like your lover made it worth the hassle to carry around.
Walking through the halls, the feeling of unease only grew in your stomach. The silence that covered the ship made your heart race. You were docked at an island, so everyone could be grabbing supplies or raiding, but they usually invite you.
Simply deciding to shrug it off, you walk towards Kid’s workshop to see if he is there. You haven’t seen him yet, and it was always a good morning when you got to see his cute, grumpy face. Knocking on the workshop door, you gently open it and see Kid working on his metal limb.
“There you are, baby! I was wondering where you were!” You got to put your arms around him, only for him to shrug you off. Shocked, you place your hand on his arm gently, trying to get him to pay attention to you. Only for him to throw off your hand as well.
“Kid? What’s wrong?” Kid didn’t even look at you when he responded.
“Fuck off, your annoying.” Your mouth turned agape at his words. What had you done to be talked to like this?
“Excuse me? What did you just say to me?” This time, Kid stops and turns to look at you. A different type of rage in his eyes.
“You fucking heard me. Go be a nuisance somewhere else!” A scowl appeared on your face hearing him. No way would you allow him to talk to you like this.
“Who do you think you are speaking to me like this? You may be my boyfriend, but there’s no way in hell I’m going to allow myself to be spoken to like this.” Crossing your arms, you only stared him down. Even when he stood up, towering over you, you still refused to back down.
“I think I’m your fucking Captain!”
“Oh so your Captain now instead of my boyfriend?”
“I’m not going to be a whore’s boyfriend.” Kid’s words made your heart stop, and your eyes widen.
“What? What did you just call me?”
“I called you a fucking whore. Are you too stupid to understand that?!”
“I understand what the damn word means! What I’m saying is, why the hell you would call me that!”
“You think I’m stupid?! I caught you all up on that man yesterday! Fukcing sucking on his damn face!” What on earth was he talking about? You were Hip all day yesterday! Both of you shopping at the plaza on the island! You even showed him an outfit you bought! Where was he getting all this false information?
“I was Hip all day yesterday! You can even ask her! Besides, what would I gain from that?! I love you! The only man I want is you, and the only crew I’d ever fight alongside with is yours!” A snarky laugh left Kid’s lips hearing your last words.
“Fight?! You don’t do shit! Me and Killer always have to save your dumbass cause your too useless to do shit yourself!” A silence fell over the two of you. You can feel your lips tremble and your words dying in your throat.
“I don’t even know why I’m with someone so useless! There are plenty of other whore’s on this island who have more talent than you!” His words felt like knives carving into your skin with every word. They were so filled with hate that you couldn’t be around him anymore. Turning around, you walk towards the door, trying to ignore his hurtful words.
“Oh yeah! Go on and walk away! That’s all your good at!” You heard him slamming the door behind you, and only then did you allow the tears to flow.
How could he say such things? He said words that he knew would hurt you. The cruelty of it was unbelievable. You knew he could be mean, but this was insane! The horrific incident made hot tears pour down fast along your cheeks. Is that how he truly felt? Did he really think you were useless this entire time you’ve been with him? Is that how everyone else on the Victoria Punk thought as well?
When you made it to your and Kid’s shared bedroom, you thought to yourself. Why would you stay with a man who could call you such words without a shred of proof and guilt? Why be with a man who thinks you're lying no matter what you say? You already dealt with enough treatment like that before you met him. How could he let you leave all you knew behind just to leave you on with lies and false promises? Make you come with him to sail the sea, only for him to turn around and show his true colors? You knew people said he was a cruel man, but you never thought you’d see how cruel he was for yourself.
Grabbing the door handle, you knew that this wasn’t the life you were promised. Wasn’t the life you were meant for? You’ve always dreamed of leaving your island and exploring the world! But for that to happen, you had to be strong and let mean comments slide off your back if you wanted to be a pirate. But Kid was right. You were useless, so it would have never worked out in the end, regardless.
“Mom was right…dreams are for children.” With shaky hands, you begin to gather your belongings. Maybe going back home would have a better life for you planned out.
The sound of your mother yelling seemed to ring everywhere along the house as she screamed at you. Her face filled with rage as she stared at you with crazed eyes.
“I ask you to do one thing, and you can’t even do that?! How could I have had a daughter so useless that she can’t even make soup?!” Her demeaning words made you feel smaller than an atom.
“I’m sorry mommy. I couldn’t reach the pot to stir-”
“Your eight years old! When I was your age, I made my own food! My parents didn’t help me at all! How could you be so stupid!” Little hiccups escape from your mouth as you try to fight back tears.
“I’m s-sorry.” Your mother scoffed at your tears.
“God, I’m getting pissed off just looking at you. Get out of my sight.” Without another word, you start climbing up the stairs, your small hands struggling to grip the railing.
“Useless child.”
~~~
The moon was the only source of light as the crew of the Victoria Punk finally. After a full day of drunk laughter and raided goods, everyone was ready to call it a night. Yet, as soon as they boarded the Victoria, a feeling of dread filled everyone's senses.
Making the first move, Killer made his way to Kid’s workshop. Since you didn’t join the rest of the crew today, he suspected that you’d be with Kid. But to his surprise, when he opened the door, he only saw Kid working on a piece of metal.
“Oh (Y/N)’s not in here with you?” The sheer mention of your name seemed to spark hatred inside of Kid.
“No, she’s probably out fucking other men.” Killer’s eyes widen behind his mask.
“What? What the hell are you talking about?”
“I caught her making out with another guy yesterday! That’s what I’m talking about!”
“She should have been with Hip yesterday. Are you sure that you didn’t see someone that looked like her?”
“Same clothes she wore that day! The same way she wore her hair and the same hair color!”
“Did you see her face?”
“No, she was too busy sucking that dipshits face.” There was something not right about the situation he walked into. In all the time he’s known you, the only man you made eyes to was Kid. The only man you let hug you was Kid. Everything was only for Kid. It just didn’t make sense for you to cheat.
“Did you talk to her about it?”
“We fought, and she walked away 'cause she couldn’t handle being faced with her actions.”
“What happened after that?”
“Don’t know, don’t care. I said my peace, and I’ve been in here ever since.” Something still didn’t seem right, so Killer thought it’d be best to find you and hear your side of the story. He knew Kid was act first, think later, which was the main cause of almost all your fights. Only after Kid calms down is when he see’s rationality. Even now, he still seems so pissed. It’d be best to find you sooner than later.
“Alright.” Closing the door, Killer made his way to your and Kid’s shared room. Normally after fights, he could find you in there. Kid would sleep in his workshop, and you’d sleep in the bed is how it usually was when a fight happened.
Knocking on the door, he’s only met with silence.
“(Y/N)? You in there?” Still silence.
“(Y/N)?” Carefully opening the door, Killer’s met with a half-empty room. No sign that you ever lived there in the first place. No misplaced shirt or sock, nothing. Closing the door, he went to your original room, and once again, no sign you ever lived on the Victoria Punk. The fight must have been much bigger than he thought.
If you weren’t on the ship, then where were you?
~~~
You couldn’t eat anything, no matter how hungry you were. Everything you tried to choke down always came right back up from crying so hard. The tears felt like battery acid against your skin, and it drove you mad. How can you cry over him after what he said? Telling you things that he knew would hurt you. Maybe you were a fool for falling in love like your mother said.
“Mom? Can I ask you for advice?” Standing in front of your mother, you feel her eyes pierce her soul.
“What? Can’t you see I'm busy?” The only thing next to her was a pack of cigarettes and a shell phone. Waiting for her ‘friends’ to call her.
“Well, I fell in love with this-” Your mother's laughter interrupted you before you could finish.
“Only fools fall in love! Is that what you are (Y/N)? A fool?”
“No! That’s not true!” A scowl appeared on your mother's face as she stood up quickly.
“Of course it is! Love is a waste of time! Love is for the pathetic worms like yourself! You think anyone's gonna love you? You’ve got nothing worth wild!” Tears start to slip from your eyes as you try to ignore your mother's words.
“Stop! It’s not a waste of time! Everyone has a chance at love! That’s what grandma says…” Your mother grabbed your wrist and brought you closer to her.
“Grandma married an abusive drunk! She doesn’t know the first thing about love! All you are is a useless little girl who’s following dumb dreams!” Ripping your hand from your mother's grip, you start walking away.
“Being a whore is the only way a man will ‘love’ you.” Her last words made you run to your room with tears flying off your face. Her words echo in your head no matter how hard you try to ignore them. Your mirror shook when you slammed your bedroom door shut. The vibrations had you look at yourself in the mirror.
A painful itch in your mind emerged as you started to wonder if you always looked like that.
~~~
Laying in the hotel bed, you stare at the ceiling as the memory ends as soon as it starts. The memories of your childhood started playing ever since you left the Victoria Punk. You didn’t realize that you never thought about the past when you were with Kid, but now that you were lying here alone in the dark, it was all you could think about. Knowing that now only made you angry. Without Kid, you couldn’t even think a positive thought? How could you let yourself depend on him so hard? Your mother would be ashamed if she saw you.
If she wasn’t already.
She wasn’t thrilled when you ran off to be a pirate with Kid. Screaming and yelling words that you couldn’t make out. If she had a boat, she’d probably would have come after you. A sight to see truly. But now that you made plans to go home, what would she do when you showed up back at her door?
In 2 days, you’d be making your way back down to the south blue. You were from an island and known for their spices that you could only get on the island. That and the lack of protection from the world government. Many pirates hit the shores of your island, demanding the spices that were worth so much to be eaten by sea kings the second they leave the island. One of the cons to the spices was that it was a natural sea king attracter. It was always so gratifying to see asshole pirates get eaten,
But then Kid came along.
He was brand new to the pirate scene, but by god, he was making a name for himself fast. His bounty raises every new newspaper. It was exhilarating to see such action coming from your part of the sea. Even if it wasn’t the greatest type of action.
The moment a woman started yelling about pirates, you went to see who it could be. You loved to get a closer look at life on the sea. At least the decent ones you did. But you can remember the moment you caught Kid’s eyes.
Hiding behind a tree in the woods was the perfect cover to spy on the pirates that you heard just docked. The hiding spot never failed you before, so why would it now? A gruff voice caught your attention. Looking at the source, you feel your heart skip a beat.
There he was. Eustass ‘Captain’ Kid.
His red hair seemed to shine in the sun, and it looked softer than silk. His skin was kissed with beautiful freckles. The way he carried himself among his crew made you continue to look at him in awe. You’ve never met a man so breathtaking. There was something about him. You’ve heard the stories behind him. How the devil could be beautiful. Too much in awe, you failed to hear the conversation between the captain and his first mate.
“After we raid this lame town, we’ve only got a few more islands then we’re off to Sabaody.”
“Hmm…”
“What?”
“It seems we’re being watched.” Pointing to the woods, the masked man shows his captain a figure behind a tree.
“Go ahead, Killer. I’ll take care of it.” Nodding, the man leaves. Turning back to the woods, Kid uses his devil fruit powers to see if he can’t just bring the figure to him.
The moment his gaze locked yours, you feel your face burn. His eyes were like a memorizing fire that you couldn’t look away from. Only when your ring starts vibrating is when you realize you’ve been truly caught.
“Oh no-” Pulled forward, you go crashing into the captain’s grip. His frame towered over you as he looked down at you. You couldn’t help but continue to admire him.
“Care to tell me why your spying on me, woman?” Not fully registering his question and thinking out loud, you respond.
“Your even prettier up close.”After the words left your lips. You slam your free hand over your mouth and look at him with wide eyes. Admitting that you found a ruthless pirate pretty to his face might be the best way to be put 6 feet under. His silence only made you panic more.
“I m-mean, hey can I get you a drink? There’s a good bar in town!” Kid laughed at your stumbling as he brought your rings closer to his face. It wasn’t the prettiest, but it was still worth some berri’s.
“How about you give me this ring instead? Looks like I could get a good amount of berri’s for it.”
“Oh yeah, sure! Here!” Kid lets your arm down but keeps a firm grip on your wrist. Taking off the ring, you place it in his hand. His smirk made butterflies rumble in your tummy.
“Now show me that bar you were speaking of. Need some booze for the trip.
“Of course!” Your willingness to please him made him conjure up thoughts that are less than innocent. If you were so excited to please him, maybe you’d be a good fuck. Been a minute since he’s had sex. Plus, if his eyes were still working, that was a wedding ring he stole from your dainty little hand. Fucking a married woman could be an experience.
“What’s your husband gonna think when he sees that his little wife no longer has her ring?”
“I’m not married! Not yet, at least.”
“Yet?”
“My mom sold me off to marry a rich man’s son so she could stop living in poverty and pay back her debts to the bank.” Instead of the chipper tone you held only moments ago, your voice filled with sadness.
“Thought that shit was only for princesses and princes. Have you seen the bastard?”
“Unfortunately.”
“Oh, is he ugly? Shitty luck for you, huh?” Kid’s laughter made the situation feel a bit better. It’s shocking you become so obsessed with a man you just met. But you wouldn’t trade the feeling for anything. This simple jolt of joy was something you wished would never end.
“I can help you carry your booze to your ship! I can also get a good amount of spices that won’t attract the sea kings!” your words seemed to pique Kid’s interest.
“Is that so? Tell me more about these spices. And leave nothing out, got it?”
“Sure thing, captain!”
The memory only made rage flood through your veins. Rage on how you could have been so desperate. How willing you were to commit a crime and please the most dangerous new-gen pirate at the time. God, you probably sounded so pathetic. If you could go back in time to tell yourself that you were acting stupid, you would.
His baseless accusations were appalling even still thinking aboutit. He never even heard your side! Just assuming the worst of you was his first thought? It hurt so much to think about. You always gave him the benefit of the doubt, so why couldn’t he do the same to you?
~~~
Killer searched all around the town for you, yet he still couldn’t find you. The lack of success started to frustrate him as he walked back to the Victoria.
It’s been a full day since you’ve disappeared. Worry that something happened to you started to settle within the other crew members. Heat and Hip offered to check out the small forested area of the island. Wire said he’d search the port more and keep an eye out in case you forgot something and came back to grab it.
The whole situation still didn’t make sense to Killer, no matter how hard he thought about it. It made no sense to anyone on the crew. He didn’t dare ask Kid any more questions since it was obvious he was still overwhelmed with rage.
No matter what Kid said he saw, there was just no way in hell you had cheated on him. From the first time Killer had seen you, he could see the lovestruck look you had in your eyes when you stared at Kid. Years later and you still look at him like that! Cheating wasn’t something you’d do. No way in hell.
Kid’s immediate reaction, while it shouldn’t have shocked Killer, did. He recalled when Kid took you on the team without even seeing how you fought or if you could even fight. He’s never seen him do anything like that before and since. Killer saw how lovesick Kid became only weeks after you joined. Kid would tell him how proud he was when you were getting better at fighting. Or how he loved being the one to protect you.
No matter what, Killer had to find you. The aftermath is something that Killer knew would lead to flames.
~~~
Using the new clothes you bought and wearing a mask, you managed to sneak into a salon to get a haircut. Changing your appearance slightly would allow you to go outside without the worry of being recognized. It also gives you a breath of fresh air. A new look for a new chapter of your life. The chapter of your time with Kid was coming to a close. It hurt as you’ve never been happier than when you were with them. But who knows, maybe you’ll be even happier somewhere else. Only time will tell.
Your and Kid’s shared laughter echoed in your ears as you both ran to the Victoria Punk. Well, he ran as he carried you on his shoulder. One hand full of raided goods and the other holding your legs. Both your hands filled with spices as you watch your mother and supposed to be future groom chase after you.
“Damnit, pirate! Give me back my wife!”
“Don’t you dare take her! She’s my key to getting out of this shitty place!” Their words sounded like babble compared to the sound of your and Kid’s laughter.
“No can do losers! I take what I want!” Hearing Kid say those final words made your heart explode. He actually wanted you! Your face felt like it was on fire as his smell overwhelmed your senses.
Something inside you told you, you were meant to be his. That even though you’ve only known him for a day, he managed to make your heart beat like never before. His voice made your legs jelly, and his sheer strength had you staring at him like he was the greatest thing you’ve ever seen. Everything about him had you in awe.
You weren’t even out to sea, but this is the happiest you’ve ever been! If simply meeting him made you feel so much joy, how could it be when you’d get to see him every day? It’d be a dream you hope you’d never wake up from.
“How does this look, miss?” The hairdresser turned you towards the mirror.
“It looks great! Do you have time for a color?”
“Actually, yes! Let me go get the color swatches.”
~~~
“No sign of her Killer. We checked everywhere.” Heat’s words only caused dread to fill Killer. Everyone’s looked top to bottom, and not even a trace of your existence has been found.
“You don’t think she’s already gone, do you?”
“Don’t say shit like that. Just…she’s here. No way she could’ve already docked a different boat.” Just then, a familiar-looking outfit caught Killer’s eye. Same hair color and length. Not wanting to lose you to the crowd, Killer runs up to you.
“(Y/N)! Where have you been?! We’ve been looking everywhere-”
“Hmm?” Killer stops in his tracks when you turn to look at him. But it wasn’t you. The person before him had a completely different face. He thought it was you! How could someone look so similar?-
“Did you see her face?”
“No, she was too busy sucking that dipshits face!”
“Oh no.” Looking down at the woman, all the pieces started coming together in his mind.
“Heat! Go grab Kid!”
“Okay?” Heat’s footsteps leave Killer’s earshot quickly. Turning his attention to the woman, he could see her nervousness.
“Listen, I know this is weird, but I need to borrow you for a second. You looked like my friend's girlfriend from behind, and he thought she cheated. I just need him to see your face. I promise I’ll pay you. All you need to do is just stay right there.” Confusion appeared on the woman’s face before a frown as she crossed her arms.
“Damn pirates. Always assuming the worst in people. I’ll do it, but I have one condition.”
“Condition?”
“Yeah, condition! I’d like to have a few words with your friend as it’s obvious he’s a fucking idiot if he can’t even talk to his girlfriend like a reasonable adult. And the pay better be nice.” The woman stood her ground as she grumbled out the last part. Killer wouldn’t blame her for not wanting to be a part of a pirate's relationship problems. While on the one hand, he knew that letting her say some choice words for Kid could end badly on her end. Maybe it’ll give him the punch in the head to realize his mistake.
“Alright, Killer, I got him.” Kid’s grumpy face and heavy footsteps didn’t go unnoticed by the woman, as he could see her body tense.
“What the fuck do you want?”
“It wasn’t (Y/N) you saw 3 days ago. It was her. She looks the same if looked at from behind.” Killer motions the girl to turn around, and she does with a huff before turning back around.
“Where were you three days ago?”
“I was out on the town with my fiance. We went shopping before going to eat at the ice cream shop over there.”
“Rough guess on time?”
“2:30pm to 3pm. Are we done with the questions now?”
“Yeah, thanks.” Killer can still see the woman standing in front of Kid with a scowl on her face. Guess she was serious about giving him a few choice words.
“(Y/N) would have been with Hip at that time three days ago.” Looking at Kid, Killer could see the gears turning in his head before his face went pale.
“We’ve searched the entire place, and there's no trace of (Y/N).”
“No one’s seen her either.”
“Well, look again, damnit!” Killer could hear the panic in Kid’s voice as he spoke. His eyes darting in every direction to try and find you. Heat and Killer’s eye exchange looks of worry seeing the state of frenzy their captain was sinking into.
“Your acting like she’d want to go back to you.” Kid’s eyes snapped to the woman who looked at him with disdain. The air turned tense as Kid’s rage felt suffocating to be near, but the woman didn’t back down.
“What the fuck did you just say?!”
“You got sand in your ears? I said that your acting like she’d even want to go back to you. Your stupid to think so.” Turning to Killer, the woman held out her hand for her payment. Without saying a word to Kid, Killer hands the woman money, and she makes her escape. Kid just stands there frozen for a few seconds before coming back to.
“Don’t just stand there! Find her!”
~~~
“(Y/N) was it?”
“Yeah. Never thought I’d see a Strawhat here. Let alone a hopelessly lost one.”
“I’m not lost. I’m simply…enjoying the scenery?”
“Yeah, okay, swordsman.”
“Zoro.”
“Well, Zoro. What’s a strawhat doing here?”
“Beats me. What’s a Kid pirate doing here? More or less screaming and cussing out their captain in the middle of the woods while surrounded by their belongings?”
“Ex-Kid pirate. And let’s just say Eustass Kid lives up to the ‘most cruel new gen pirate’ allegations.”
You remembered the green-haired swordsman from Sabaody. He’s ten times more fit than the last time you saw him. It had you wondering what all the other Strawhats looked like.
“Who would have thought!” His laughter had your lips curving up to a small smile. It was a breath of fresh air to be smiling after 2-3 days of nonstop crying. You’ll probably be crying more today when you board the ship that’s supposed to take you home. The pain only three days in is insufferable, so you can’t imagine dealing with the pain truly alone in the middle of the sea while you're on a ship with strangers.
“They said dock C was where the Sunny is located.”
“Huh? Oh. Well, do you think you could get there yourself? I don’t remember which ship Kid’s is docked at, and I don’t want him to see me.”
“Probably. It’s over there, right?” Looking at where he was pointing, you see him pointing in the opposite direction. Sighing and letting out a silent cuss, you grab his wrist, frowning as you begin tugging him toward dock C.
“Oi woman! Where are you taking me?!”
“In the right direction of your ship! I just showed you the right way, and you were about to go in the complete opposite direction!” The sound of the wood creaking went ignored as you continued dragging the swordsman.
“God, where could that idiot be?!” A female voice hits your ears, causing you to stiffen. What if it was a crew member of Kid’s? You needed to listen again to know for sure.
“He’s always getting lost!” To your relief, the voice was entirely unfamiliar. You begin walking towards it and realize that a red-headed woman is coming your way.
“You know her?” You ask the man next to you as you point to the woman.
“Yeah, she’s our navigator. Nami!” Nami? The same Nami that used to have short hair and wore a t-shirt? That Nami? You almost didn’t recognize her!
“There you are! Jesus Zoro, can you not go one second and not get lost?!” Zoro rolled his eyes as you let go of his wrist. Now that he could get back, you can now make your way to your own boat.
“Who did you drag into helping you? She probably has a life unlike you.”
“She’s a Kid pirate-”
“Ex-Kid prate.”
“Huh? You must be new. I didn’t see you on Sabaody.”
“She’s the captain’s ex.” You look at the green-haired man before harshly hitting him.
“Oh, I remember you now! You look so much different than when I last saw you!”
“I can say the same for you. I’d love to chat more, but I can’t miss my ship back home.”
“Aw, shame! We were about to eat, you think you can join us? Least we can do for bringing back this idiot.” You were about to decline the offer as you weren’t in the mood to deal with many people, but your stomach growled loudly. Now you’d be caught lying if you said you weren’t hungry and declined. So despite your discomfort, you agreed. Free food, you supposed, especially nice when you haven’t eaten yet.
“Great! We’re not far away, so follow me!” Sighing quietly, you follow the woman without another word.

The feeling of guilt and disgust ate away at Kid as he began to tear apart the town. He should have known that you wouldn’t cheat. You’ve been with him since the beginning of his pirate life, and he thought you cheated without even listening to you.
He could still remember the look of horror and heartbreak you wore when he yelled and insulted you. He called you cruel names, and not once did you call him one back. Even through his temper, you never said a mean word. Sure, you raised your voice, but that’s nothing compared to what he did.
How could he even look you in the face? If you saw him, what would you do? Would you cry? Run away? Scream? All scenarios he knew would be negative. No way in hell you’d want to run to him after all the things he called you. Calling you the very things he promised not to call you after you told him your life before joining his crew. How could he fix a trust he worked so hard to establish, to begin with?
There were so many things he wanted to tell you. Tell you he’s sorry and that he’s an idiot. That you weren’t any of those things he said you were. He wanted to tell you that he loved you and beg for your forgiveness. That the first day he met you, he wanted you close. The way your first words to him were compliments and how you looked at him with admiring eyes.
Even when he slept during the time away from you after the fight, he was plagued by your heartbroken face. He’s never slept so shitty as he did when you were gone. His arms reached out for you only to feel the empty space next to him.
When he’d wake up, he could find dry tears stained into his face. And when he looked in the mirror, he could see the way his face was red and his eyes puffy. He caught himself calling out your name before remembering that he was alone. Whether he wanted to admit it at the time or not, the truth was he was miserable/ He couldn’t do anything in his workshop as he had no motivation as all he thought about was you and what you could have been doing.
Well, now that he knows that truth, he had to find you.
He’s been searching for what felt like hours. Destroying every building in his path just to find you. Yet no matter what building he broke down, there was no trace of you anywhere. It’s like you just disappeared. Vanished from the world and vanished from his life.
He couldn’t accept that you were gone. He wouldn’t accept it. How could he be the King of the Pirates if you weren’t there next to him? There’s no way he could deal with knowing what his actions had done and then go on to achieve something huge. You were supposed to celebrate with him.
“Kid!” Killer’s voice snapped him out of his destructive trance, making him turn to the man.
“What?! If you haven’t found (Y/N) yet, then I don’t wanna hear it!”
“There's a ship heading back to the sough blue in one hour. Me and the others believe she’s taking that ship back home.”
“Well, what are you waiting for?! Go see if she’s there, and if not, wait!” Killer sighed at his friend's words. He’s acting like you’re coming back willingly. What the woman told him earlier was right, even if Kid wouldn’t say it aloud. You’d probably rather sell yourself to the Marines than want to see Kid. But against his better judgment, he and Heat head off to the ship that could take you home.
~~~
“Shame you couldn’t stay longer! It’s nice to see and hear a new voice after dealing with Luffy every day.” You couldn’t help but laugh. It felt nice to feel something other than overwhelming sadness. Probably the most laughter that’d come out of you for quite a while. Especially if you were going home.
“Where do you plan on going next? I mean, I doubt you want to stay on an island with strangers.”
“Home. There’s a ship that’s heading to the south blue in an hour. I was gonna take it home.”
“Wow, that’s a long way.”
“Tell me about it. Not looking forward to the journey.”
“Oi Strawhat!” Both you and Nami turn your heads to see who could be yelling. Only last minute did you recognize the voice and the man running towards you. Quickly turning your head back around, you hope that your different colored hair would throw him off.
“(Y/N)! There you are! We’ve been looking everywhere!”
‘Shit. Just my fucking luck.’ You hear his footsteps stop right behind you. Even though Killer was innocent, you still wanted to ignore him.
“Have you been with the Strawhats the entire time? Actually, that doesn’t matter. What matters is that you have to come back. Kid knows the truth and is tearing the town apart looking for you. Literally.”
“Let him search. Let him wallow in guilt.”
“Listen, I understand your upset. You have every right to be but-”
“No buts! You know what he called me, Killer?! He called me a whore! Useless! I’m a useless whore to him! I’m not going back and living in skepticism if Kid actually loves me or not! Someone who loves someone wouldn’t say such words. So leave me alone.”
“(Y/N)-”
“You heard her! Leave her alone.” To your surprise, Nami steps in front of you. Dividing you and Killer.
“Strawhat stay out of this. It doesn’t concern you.”
“Tell me this, would you go back if you were in her shoes?”
“What?”
“Would you go back if you were in her shoes?” Killer stays silent before sighing.
“No, I wouldn’t.”
“Exactly. So why should she?”
“Kid knows about the boat that’s supposed to take you home. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s beat us to it.” Killer’s voice makes your heart drop. How the hell were you gonna sneak onto the boat without Kid seeing you and causing a scene?
“That doesn’t matter anyway since she’s sailing with us now!” Your eyes blow wide at Nami’s words.
“You are?”
“I am?” Nami shoots a look at you before you understand the idea.
“I mean, yes, I am!” Crossing your arms, you look at Killer from behind Nami. You see Killer and Heat exchange looks. If Killer didn’t have his mask on, there's no doubt that he be rubbing his face.
“When the hell did you decide this?”
“Earlier today, actually!” It felt wrong to lie to him, but the idea of staying in the new world and continuing to explore started to grow on you. If Nami was actually thinking about letting you tag along with them, maybe you’d take them up on the offer.
Instead of going home and most likely going to be married off again by your mom, you’d continue to be free. Be able to see things that child you never thought you would.
“What should I tell Kid then? Cause we both know how he’s gonna react when he hears this.” Everyone went silent at the idea of coming up with a plan that would cause the least amount of damage to people and ships. Just then, an idea popped into your head.
“I’ve got an idea.”
~~~
Kid’s loud footsteps made the dock shake as he followed Killer and Heat. The two men told him that they saw you heading to dock C but lost you in the crowd. Hearing that, Kid made a mad dash towards the port to try and find you. You were still here, but he didn’t know how long you would be. He couldn’t afford to just miss you.
“This way!” Turning a sharp corner, Killer directs Kid to where they last saw you. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears as adrenaline was running fast through his veins. Flashes of memories with you invade Kid’s mind as he fears that if he misses you, he’ll never be able to create more.
“Wait, I think I see her!” Killer stops suddenly as he points out to the sea. Fear clutches Kid’s heart when he sees you leaning against the railing of the Strawhats ship. Kid rushes to the dock that the boat had just sailed away from moments ago. He looks on in horror as he watches the ship slowly move away from him.
“(Y/N)!” He can see your head turn, and both your eyes lock. A look of sadness and anger crosses your face as you look at him. His breathing loud as words start to stumble from his mouth. For the first time, Kid’s vulnerability was shown to the people of the world as he called to you.
“(Y/N)! I know now! I’m sorry for saying all those fucked up things to you! Your none of those things, I promise!” You said nothing to him, but he could see the small drops of tears rolling down your face.
“I’m a dumbass! I was made and said things I didn’t mean! Get off the ship and come back! I’ll do anything!” Kid could feel his legs grow weak as the ship moved farther and farther away from him. For the first time in his life, he wished he’d never eaten that devil fruit. His only true enemy stood between him and you.
“I need you to come back! I can’t be King of the Pirates without you! I love you! I love you so fucking much that you not being next to me sounds like an eternal hell! I need you with me!” Kid could only feel his heart shatter when you stopped leaning on the railing and turned away from him, walking out of his sight. It felt as if time had stopped and the world stopped turning.
Kid’s legs finally gave out as he fell to his knees. The world turned deathly silent as he couldn’t even hear his own heartbeat. All he could hear and feel was the tears that slid down his cheeks and the sound of his last words being the only words he could hear as he watched the ship sail away,
“Please…don’t go…”
