"So, do you wanna tell me about your little pokemon?"

            ❝O-oh uhm, sure...❞ she stammered, needing a moment to collect enough confidence to look up at the other, hazel eyes shining a little. It didn’t happen too often that she was asked to talk about her Pokemon, yet it was something she really loved to do. They were like her family; talking about them filled her with life. 

Still a bit nervous, Reiko tugged on her hair, biting her lip a little before letting out a determined hum. ❝W-well the first one I got was Yurei... he’s my Gastly. He can be a little sassy and sneaky and loves to scare people but he’s very dear to me. He looks after me too! It’s just a bit... startling when you wake up and he floats right into your face.❞ She chuckled at that, remembering that it had happened just this morning.

           ❝Then there’s my little Shuppet, I call him Shuu. He likes to play hide-and-seek but gets really annoyed if you win. In that aspect he’s just like Salem– he’s my Sableye. They’re both very competitive and losing does not go along well with them.❞

Not realising she was starting to ramble, Reiko eagerly clapped her hands together, jumping just the tiniest bit. ❝They’re all so precious! It’s so cute when Touko tries to steal my food but she can’t grab it because she doesn’t have arms! So she just floats around the plate, hoping you’re going to share with her. Meanwhile Nettie and Vickie like to play-fight with each other... it’s amusing to watch but sometimes they cause slight damage to my room, which isn’t very fun to clean up...❞

              ❝A-anything else you want to know?❞

—i was being SLIGHTLY productive here today, yay!~ i’ll try to get to drafts tomorrow after college since that hopefully won’t kill me as much as work does recently. //throws chocolate around

She didn’t understand why she was being hugged all of a sudden. Was the other simply in a good mood and wanted to share it with others? Whatever the reason may have been, Reiko couldn’t help but chuckle the tiniest bit. Albeit a little anxious and not usually one to give out random hugs, she could not resist this one and returned it, carefully wrapping her arms around the other. It was nice.

             ❝W-Well... I don’t k-know what that was for b-but... you’re cuddly...❞

Did she know that man? No. Did his stare unsettle her? Oh yes. But Reiko, being shy and awkward around strangers, couldn’t just open her mouth and tell him to look somewhere else or even ask if there was a reason behind him staring at her so intently. Instead, Reiko took a step back, furrowing her brows in discomfort. 

            ❝... U-uhm...?❞ —was all she managed to get out, too nervous to form actual sentences, even just in her head. If only she’d have Yurei with her to boost her confidence, but she’d left all her Pokémon at the nearby Pokémon Centre to let them rest. Had she known she would end up in such a strange situation, she would certainly have brought at least one of them along; they made her feel safer. ❝H-Hello...?❞
