Potter’s wheel.

He brought her to the end of herself.

He replaced the broken version she had spent her whole life building, with who she was created to be all along.

She is no longer afraid and fragile, she now is strong and unbreakable.

Can’t you see, it was never yours to hold onto in the first place and it definitely wasn’t meant for you to carry all on your own.

So...do me a favor and take a deep breathe, loosen your grip, peel back those fingers one by one and open your hands in surrender to the one who will sustain you.

If someone had come to me a year ago and told me I would feel a deep sense of gratitude for all the things I have been through over the last year I would have laughed in their face. HOW? How could I possibly find the good in these circumstances? Feeling anything other than loss and grief seemed physically impossible. Yet here I am today: Grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to know this pain and watch it mold me into the person I am today. Grateful for the gift of grace that has been poured over my life. I firmly believe that the depth that you can love is that of which you have suffered. The voids I have felt have made room for more empathy and compassion to extend to others. It's crazy how a single day in our lives can be thrown into chaos so quickly. I don't think anyone wants hard things to happen, but I am learning how necessary they are for our growth as a person. Choosing to put our trust in something bigger than ourselves. June 8, 2016; I remember this day so vividly, it was one of the hardest days I've had so far, but i'll always remember it as the day I fully started giving everything to God. I started trusting him with my life and the people I loved the most. I let go of the things I could not change and started changing the things I could. This day changed everything.
