For Their Memory!

Hi everyone! Over the summer, I was able to work on an incredible project aimed at raising money and awareness for the plight of garment workers in third world countries like Bangladesh. Inspired by the story of Reba Sikdar, a survivor of the Rana Plaza factory collapse on April 24, 2013, a professor of mine, Liz Ricketts, and her partner created the song “For Their Memory”. The proceeds from royalties will be directed through their nonprofit, The OR Is Present, to benefit garment workers like Reba, and hopefully raise awareness about the extremely unsafe and taxing work environments and conditions garment workers face to produce cheap clothing for us.
