For the Worldwide Instameet (and in celebration of #EarthDay), together with some awesome instagrammers, we explored Hatta, Dubai.

We visited the picturesque Hatta Dam and cultural Hatta Heritage Village. We also stopped over Hatta Fort Hotel where we were spoiled with good food; we also had the chance to experience and try their amazing amenities.

It was a tiring, but super fun day.

Behind that smile is a man with deep personality. Get to know the man who is best known for his sense of humor and endless love quotes stint - we had a chance to talk to Jayven seriously, read on.

Tell us something about yourself. I am Jayven Tabernilla, 23 years of age. A happy-go-lucky lad who take photos of anything. Currently living in Dubai for about a year now. Working as a call-coordinator during daytime and a freelance model at night (in my sweet dreams, of course).

How long have you been Instagramming? I've been hooked up on Instagram for more than 2 years and still, I'm adjusting to everyday instagrammable changes.

What inspired you to start taking pictures?

Phone wallpapers way back Nokia camera phone days, I guess. I told to myself that they probably just took that landscape wallpaper from a certain place so why can't I take a photo of a beautiful scenery and use it as my own wallpaper. Then after that, I just found out that my phone memory is full due to tons of photos. LOL Getting to know new people and places get my juices flowing as well. "This moment deserves to be preserved and be seen by the world" -that's my favorite line while taking photos.  *wink-wink**

What's your favorite subject?

Nature and people. I really want to take photos of the relaxing waves in the beach or a wide and green mountain or fields. Taking photos of people wearing a cool OOTD is one of my favorites as well, but I like it more when I can also capture their feelings in each and every shots and then I will just insert my "hugot" lines to make it more dramatic [evil laugh] and of course, myself! I love to take selfies and I actually created a different account just for selfie purposes. HAHA

What tools/apps/lenses/filters do you use for your images?

I guess everyone is aware of these apps; Snapseed for enhancements and of course, "VSCO" for filters. I am using a camera phone, iPhone and a 750D Canon SLR. But, in taking photos, I use my heart [CHAROT!]

What's your most favorite Instagram photo and why?

I've got lots of favorite photos on my Instagram. And it is so hard for me to pick one. Maybe you can help me? Find me on Instagram @JVNTABERNILLA. [laughs]

Who are your favorite Instagrammers?

Aside from my instagrammer friends (I know that you know who you are).. Hmm.. @davidguison, @jarradseng.. Hmm.. I can't think of any other instagrammer for now. Well,  Instagram is a big pool of creative people. They might have different styles of their own but one thing is for sure, they're all awesome.

Bettina is not your typical 17 y/o girl. With a passion for fashion and a concrete direction when it comes to career, at a very young age, Bettina knows what she wants in life. Bettina is more than the pretty façade and tall structure, so we took the chance and had a little talk with her, to get to know her better.

Tell us something about you and your blog.

I am Bettina Micu, 17 years old making me one of Dubai’s (if not youngest) youngest bloggers. I run a Fashion & Lifestyle Blog at http://bettina-micu.com and I’ve been in the game for a year and a half now. I started out my blog as a hobby and it still remains a hobby to me till this day, It has been my personal online dairy and I it has been such a joy to be able to inspire so many young adults to follow their dreams, especially in this day in age that we live in.

I have spent my whole life in Dubai, though I am a full-blooded Filipino I’d like to think that I am a perfect mix of both cultures. I have developed a love and knowledge for both countries I am determined to make a mark in the Fashion Industry representing both.

What or who inspired you to start your blog?

I have always known I wanted to do something in Fashion since a very young age, though not everyone was so supportive of me knowing how competitive it is in the industry that just gave me more drive to go into what I had a passion towards.

Through out all high school I would look up to these Fashion Bloggers and Vloggers and once I graduated I thought, you know what I could do that! Knowing there weren’t as much bloggers in Dubai yet I thought there is no better time to start but now.

So heelsindubaisand.blogspot.com (my first blog) was created at 3 am in the morning on October 3rd 2014. I had such an adrenaline rush while filling up the sign up form on google for my blog I knew that this was the start of something that would carry out and determine the next year and a half of my life. I actually tear up every time I look back at that moment.

What would your advice be for anyone who wanted to start a blog?

My advice would be stay consistent, I definitely know I struggle with staying consistent but when you are at that point when you feel drained, uninspired and just unmotivated you should go out and find it. Art galleries and hanging out with blogger friends help me a lot with getting back in the groove of blogging whenever I get side tracked, it just reminds me how much I actually love doing what I love and how much fun it actually is!

Who are your favorite bloggers?

For sure Margaret Zhang, she reminds me how hard work and dedication can actually bring you some where, I always stalk her first few posts just to see in comparison with what she’s doing now and it truly inspires me to keep on going.

Other bloggers include Aimee Song, Sarah Donaldson, Samantha Maria, etc…

If you could be someone else in a day, whose life would you want to experience and why?

Definitely no questions asked, Margaret Zhang. I just want to experience how crazy it would be and I think it would give me so much motivation to strive for a life like that.
