I love them so much! What amazes me most about the Sonic and Tails story is that Sonic was a kid himself when he decided to take on such responsibility. And I'm sure Sonic had to change his lifestyle one way or another. But... where did Sonic get a DAMN PLANE???

You know what I believe to be a small moment that perfectly encapsulates Tails? At the end of the second movie when they're all playing baseball, he looks all serious when preparing with the ball and his glove, but as Sonic announces his name, Tails switches to giving a shy smile and waving

During the first movie, whenever Sonic and Jojo hung out, Sonic would always tell the tale of how he single handedly defeated Robotnik and his robot drones. And even though Jojo's heard the story a thousand times, she's always excited to hear it like it's the first time.

Thinkin about how Knuckles probably preformed funeral rites for his tribe. With how proud of their culture the echidna were, he very likely knew or had attended an echidna funeral and knew how it was supposed to look. Plus he didn’t have to leave Mobius, so he probably would have actually had the time to process, grieve, and conduct a funeral.

Thinkin about how Sonic probably wasn’t taught funeral rites, because it was just him and Longclaw. Additionally, they may not have even discussed death. On top of that, he was sent to Earth directly following an attack - he was definitely in fight or flight, and that definitely messes with grieving and processing.
