2025 Update

Whoo... where do I start?

First off, I think it's really cool that Tumblr is still around and kicking after all this time. I first got on here in early 2014, or late 2013? Somewhere around there. And look where we are now! Jan 2025! DAYUM!

So much in my life has changed in this last decade. I started and now have left the teaching profession. I've moved out of Texas to Ohio. I no longer have a Mistress- and that didn't end well. I'm on the job hunting circuit again. I'm 36 and still confused about life things- though definitely more knowledgeable than 10 years ago.

I originally created my Tumblr page to act as more of an online diary for myself, and I intend to continue using it as such. I have some new followers, randomly- HI THERE! Welcome to the randomness! I do have an OF page, but I don't think I'll advertise it here. It didn't seem to get me much traction the last time I tried using it, so I'll stick with other social medias, for now.

I still write, though I'm not a part of any RPGs at the moment. I made an A03 account for some of my fanfics, and I'm still on FF.net too. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll post my author's name.

Aside from that, I'm doing alright-ish. Being in Ohio is new and very different, and I'm already tired of the cold/snow. I hate layers! And we live in an apartment, with a puppo, so she has to go for walks to go to the bathroom. Which means, I have to put on layers to take her out to go pee. I miss having a backyard, and so does she, but we're all adapting. My nesting partner, a guy I've been with for about 6 years now, is working a lot of hours, but hopefully when I get a new job that will settle down and we can have a routine again.

I have another partner in Texas, and it's not been easy adjusting to long distance, especially when they're busy during this time of year and our communication is sparse. But we'll figure it out.

My parents are still in Texas, and our relationship has gotten better with time, and therapy (on my end).

Looking at my past posts on here is wild, but I'm glad to be able to see where I've been and how far I've come since. I enjoy using this platform as an online diary. I purposefully don't have many personal friends on here. I remember I created this blog as a way to escape and rant into the void, and that is still one of my intentions for this space. It's nice to be able to rant in a space where I'm not worried about others seeing it and getting upset with me, but at the same time can find online comradery with others who have had similar experiences and can offer support or advice.

I have a phone interview to get ready for, so I'm going to finish this post.

I have a decent sized fibroid on the back, left, outside of my uterus. I need it to come out, as soon as possible.

No surgery date yet, but that's because of hospital red tape. My surgeon has to hear from the hospitals to see who will give him an O.R., and when. His goal is as soon as possible, but that could be next week or 3 weeks from now. We're going with an open myomectomy, 4 weeks recovery time is the estimate, and he can/will write in that I can't drive into work, so hopefully the school will allow me to work from home so I can still get my summer paychecks (my district requires I return to work the last 10 days of the school year, otherwise they'll hold my paychecks until September).

I shouldn't have to get more tests/labs/MRI done. Maybe 1 more appointment to meet with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, but that will be after a surgery date is set. I called my insurance because I'm a worrier. They were able to give me a quote of just under $4000, including the pay for everyone on the surgical team. I don't think it included hospital stay because I may be there 2-3 days. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi everyone! I have no idea if I have anymore followers but it's worth a try!

Hello everyone. I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and was told that I need to make another appointment with a different doctor. However, this doctor should be the one who will be able to set a surgery date for me.

I also contacted the Leave Coordinator for my school district and found out that if I don't have leave days in my bank (which I don't), I won't be paid the entire recovery time after my surgery.

That's at least 2 paychecks, if not 3 if my recovery takes a full 6 weeks. Now I'm torn between my health- getting this fibroid out before it causes anymore damage, and being able to pay my bills for 2 months.
