I feel like most able bodied people see wheelchairs as the worst thing that could happen to a person. When I discuss my want to have a wheelchair for various reasons, most peoples first reaction is to be surprised that I could voluntarily consider that.

But what they fail to consider is that, unlike them, I very much hate walking. It causes me pain and fatigue, it is a miserable experience.

So to any able bodied person reading this, yes some wheelchair users like walking, some want to gain that ability back, but that does not invalidate the feelings of wheelchair users who absolutely hate walking.

i was absolutely wasted last night watching the election returns, crying intermittently in my friend's apartment here in canada while my home country elected that horrible man again. and as drunk as i was i said something i keep coming back to -

"i think there's something about america that just hates women like they're insects."

it's hard not to feel that way right now. like a bug running from the boot that's going to crush us.

When searching for fidget items, we’ve noticed that the vast majority are marketed towards children or the parents of children. We wanted to focus on adults that need fidgets. This partially comes from us wanting to say it’s okay to use fidgets (more than okay!), but also us wanting to include more discreet fidget items for those that may need or want them.

We carry a lot of your standard fidgets you’d expect like push pops, fidget spinners and similar.

But we also carry more discreet or adult focused fidgets. These might include things like calm strips (textured stickers), fidget earrings, fidget necklaces, and spinner rings.
