Time to comment on chapter 5 of “Long Live The Pumpkin Queen” by Shea Ernshaw!
- Is the entire town asleep?!
- “Igor, his assistant, is hunched in the corner, bone-biscuit crumbs on the floor all around him.”, I CACKLED-
- NOT JACK, TOO?!?!

Welcome to my comments on “Long Live The Pumpkin Queen” by Shea Ernshaw, Chapter 4! :)
- You know what? I honestly never really figured the “Pumpkin King” title to be a literal thing. I never quite figured Jack was like actual royalty in Halloween Town… I mean, by this logic, shouldn’t Santa Claus be called the Yule King??? Or the Christmas King??? And he isn’t…? It’s very confusing.
- Wait, where is Sally going…
- What town could possibly be marked with a moon, I wonder…?
- This doorway smells of lavender and chamomile tea… Definitely a town themed after sleep.
- I hope she does tell Jack what she found…

Literal comments on “Long Live The Pumpkin Queen” by Shea Ernshaw, Chapter 3:
- Was there a Mummy Boy in the film??? I might have to check. This could possibly be a reference to Tim Burton’s “Mummy Boy”…
- The citizens of Halloween Town really need to chill… They’re making Sally uncomfortable. :(
- I love what they’ve named the witches. 🥰
- “You can’t possibly live in this house without redecorating” (The Mayor to Sally) Okay… Uh… First, who said anyone in Halloween Town was alive? Second… You’re insinuating Jack’s house is somehow ugly and I don’t quite agree. I’ve always loved his little lab and library…
- IT DOESN’T STOP THERE. THE MAYOR WENT FOR SALLY’S DRESS AFTER SAYING THAT AND NOW I AM LIVID. MR. MAYOR, SIR, I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT THAT HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITE DRESSES SINCE I WAS A KID- 😡
- Why are Mayor and the Vampire Prince just COMING AT MY PEEPS-
- Can I please pick the Mayor up and throw him…
- Oh hell no you DID NOT JUST DISS SALLY’S HAIR- (can I yeet the witches too pls thank you)
- TELL’EM, SALLY!!!!
- Find an alternative to candycorn?!?! 😭 (Nooooo, Jack, PLEASE JUST TALK TO THE YUMEARTH PEOPLE, THEY HAVE THE BEST KIND-)
- CANDIES SHAPED LIKE BAT HEADS? OKAY BYYYE, CANDYCORN. GIMME. *grabby hands*
- … I have been tricked. Those candy bat heads are going to be made of tar. GIMME YUMEARTH CANDYCORN-
- Beetle wax… is that a real thing? Because ngl, that sounds like it would make a cool candle…
- Honestly though, Jack should have just shoved the Mayor aside for a moment to listen better to Sally. I don’t even like that little nervous thing anyway… I’ve got a doll of him and I don’t even know how I ended up with it. I only know that I often pretend I don’t have it when people want me to pull it out for Halloween.

Literal comments on “Long Live The Pumpkin Queen” by Shea Ernshaw, Chapter 2:
- I’m surprised that trees with green leaves aren’t just a little more surprising to Sally, considering all she’s ever lived around in HalloweenTown.
- when did Jack learn what time zones are?
- “Apparently, Valentine’s Day is a holiday that happens every February. And humans surprise one another with sweets and roses and poorly written love poems.” BRUH, JACK JUST FRIED ALL OF HUMANITY, WE NEED ALOE-
- Okay, Sally’s reaction to Valentine’s Day is getting more believable.
- Sally’s description of Cupid/Eros is like that first time a player encounters the dolls on American McGee’s Alice: Madness Returns. I’m enjoying that…
- a bleeding heart equates to a broken heart…? I thought a bleeding heart would just be one that was deeply in love…? I wonder who else equates a bleeding heart with a broken one…?
- HOW DARE SOMEONE INSINUATE SALLY ISNT BEAUTIFUL THE WAY SHE IS-
- what… how has Jack never heard of Shakespeare…? Sure, he’s most famous for his romantic side but let’s not forget, the dude also wrote Hamlet and Macbeth… WAIT. “To recite Shakespearian quotations”- JACK DOES KNOW WHO SHAKESPEARE IS WTF
- okay he remembered the author. I was really worried there for a moment.
- Sally, no! Don’t you dare doubt yourself!
- “Why does no one come to Halloween Town to visit?” Good question, Sally. I would be wondering that myself. Yours was one of my favorite movies when I was a child…
- I’m trying not to reveal too much but the cutest thing just happened between Sally and some cupids…!!!!
- Jack really said “let’s hijack a boat” and I’m in HYSTERICS. I still love this skeleton!! 😂
- CHOCOLATE FIGHT!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣
- NOOOO YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME!!! WHYYYYYYYY!!!! I was so interested and then bam, it’s morning!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 #ItsCuzItsADisneyBookIsntIt
- THE HONEY MOON IS ALREADY OVER?!?!
I mean… like… I didn’t even expect THAT but now that we got it, MY MIND IS RACING-

Comments on the prologue and Chapter 1 of “Long Live The Pumpkin Queen” by Shea Ernshaw:
- This writing style literally puts the flavor of candycorn in my mouth and the smell of pumpkin spice in my nose, I love it.
- Why do I feel like this might go against Jack x Sally, I’m kind of scared.
- Just because we didn’t see bones when Sally came apart in the film doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have any…?

Hello, hello, hello! :)
I am so happy to finally start a blog that is specifically for discussion about the books I am reading. I sincerely hope that other readers will also enjoy my commentaries and ramblings here.
About me:
I have a form of autism that was once called “Asperger’s Syndrome”, I have an anxiety disorder and a depressive disorder.
Name: Sierra
Gender/Pronouns: Female/She/Her
Age: Well, I’m quite a bit older than 18, so beware, I may post some NSFW content sometimes.
Birthday: November 9th (I’m a Scorpion. That means I seriously love my pumpkins, leaves, candycorn, haunted houses and scary movies!)
Favorite people: Walter E. Disney, Timothy William Burton, Jim Henson, Osamu Tezuka and Satoshi Taijiri (because I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was~)
Main fandoms: Beetlejuice, Tim Burton, Disney, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, My Little Pony, IT, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Favorite movie: Edward Scissorhands
Favorite Disney film: Lilo & Stitch
Favorite Disney Parks Ride: The Haunted Mansion
Hobbies: I do cartoon art, I read, I write fiction and poetry, I make bracelets and I play video games.
Favorite video games/game series: Pokémon, Harvest Moon, Farming Simulator, House Flipper, Sims, Planet Zoo, Planet Coaster, The Isle, Saurian and Kingdom Hearts
Favorite books/series: Harry Potter, Inheritance Cycle, Redwall, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, Beatrix Potter’s Tales
Special interests in nonfiction: Science, Biology, Zoology, Paleontology, Halloween History, Horror History, The American Circus, Clowns, Bears, Elephants, Cats, Birds, World History, Mythology (arguably also fiction), the Titanic (I did not escape being a “90s girl”, obviously), film making, herbology, paranormal sciences, psychology, human health and generally how to take care of any animal or plant.
Reading Genres: Nonfiction, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, comedy and romance. Yes, sci-fi includes Steampunk for me.
Side note about reading genres: I am really weird with my romance reading. I won’t read Fifty Shades of Gray but will read Beauty and the Beast or Warm Bodies. I think I like at least one person in the relationship to be nonhuman.
If I post about nonfiction, it might mostly just be straight up facts that I found interesting.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own rights to any portion of any book that is reproduced on my blog. I am simply using the quotes under the Fair Use Act, which is to inform and educate others who read my posts.
