Introduction to RoHS testing: The European Union officially announced the 2002/95/EC Directive on 27th January, 2003, the "Directive on the Prohibition of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment" (referred to as the RoHS Directive), which took effect on 1st July, 2006 . The directive requires that eight categories of electronic and electrical products sold in the EU market must undergo RoHS testing and must not contain six hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers. ROSH Environmental Certification-Management Measures for the Control of Pollution by Electronic Information Products-The "Administrative Measures" implemented on 1st March, 2007 require companies to affix their labels in accordance with the requirements of SJ/T 11364-2006. Common Test Methods for RoHS Test Equipment

EDX-2_Rohs test equipment
The current IEC standard is PY/TD-GC-MS (thermal cracking/ Thermal desorption-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry detector), where the thermal cracking temperature is high, up to 1200 degrees, many large molecular substances are cracked into small molecular substances, which will Interference and false positives to the results, so need to use MS mass spectrometers to qualify.

Revision of the exemption mechanism The existing exemption clauses were adopted and 20 new exemptions were proposed for medical and monitoring equipment, and different exemption validity periods were stipulated for product categories. 5.Introduce the CE mark to strengthen workplace supervision Incorporate the ROHS compliance of electrical and electronic equipment into the CE marking requirements. LS860 luminous Intensity Distribution Tester is Designed According to CIE 127-2007
The full name of CIE 127-2007 is<MEASUREMENTS OF LEDS>.This Technical Report has been prepared by CIE Technical Committee 2-45 of Division 2 “Physical Measurement of Light and Radiation” and has been approved by the Board of Administration of the Cooission Internationale de I’Eclairage for study and application. The following is the original content of CIE 127-2007. A goniophotometer is a device to measure the luminous intensity of the source(or illuninance from the source at a given distance) in many different directions from the source. Compared with the sphere method, the goniophotometer method is theoretically free from errors due to differences in intensity distribution of the light source under test. It does not require total luminous flux standards. Instead, it requires longer time for measurement of each sample. The photometer head of the goniophotometer should meet the spectral responsivity requirement given in Section 3.3. The calibration of the photometer head(and spectral mismatch correction) should follow the recommendation for Averaged LED Intensity measurement(Section 5). The instrument also requires careful shielding of ambient light and reflected light within the instrument. If an item is to be tested in an unpackaged form, that is without its packaging, it is referred to as a test specimen. However, if the item is packaged then the item itself is referred to as a product and the item and its packaging together are referred to as a test specimen. The purpose of this test is to determine any mechanical weakness and or degradation in the specified performance of specimens and to use this information, in conjunction with the relevant specification, to decide upon the acceptability of the specimens. In some cases, the test method may also be used to demonstrate the mechanical robustness of specimens and or to study their dynamic behavior. Categorization of components can also be made on the basis of a selection from within the severities quoted in the test. EN 62384-2006 <DC OR AC SUPPLIED ELECTRONIC CONTROL GEAR FOR LED MODULES-PERFORMANCE REQUIRMENTS> was approved by CENELEC on 2006-09-01. The following is the content of EN 62384-2006 Summary. This international standard specifies performance requirements for electronic control gear for use on d.c. supplies up to 250 V and a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz with an output frequency which can deviate from the supply frequency, associated with LED modules according to EN 62384-2006. Control gear for LED modules specified in this standard are designed to provide constant voltage or current. Deviations from the pure voltage and current types do not exclude the gear from this standard. NOTE 1 The tests in this standard are type tests. Requirements for testing individual control gear during production are not included. NOTE 2 Requirements for control gear which incorporate means for varying the output power are under consideration. NOTE 3 It may be expected that control gear complying with this standard will ensure satisfactory operation between 92 % and 106 % of the rated supply voltage, taking into account the specifications of the LED module manufacturer. Saudi Arabia-Lisun engineers install LSG-5000CCD LM-79 Type C Moving Detector Goniophotometer
The Saudi Arabian customer is a well-known local third-party testing laboratory that provides a wide range of testing services. This client also has a laboratory in Guangzhou. It mainly provides testing services for the lighting industry and electronic equipment in accordance with the requirements of the Saudi Standardization, Metrology and Quality Organization and the Gulf Certification Center for lighting and electronic industry. The customer is our VIP customer and has purchased equipments in our company many times before. This customer previously purchased 12 sets of equipment from our company, such as SY2036 Aging and Life Test Rack and LSRF-2 Lamp Start, Run-up time and Flicker Test and other equipments. Customers were still very satisfied with our products and after-sales service. Later, the customer wanted to expand their lighting test capabilities. After their engineers communicated with Lisun's engineers to confirm a series of questions about the darkroom laboratory, we recommended the LSG-5000CCD LM-79 Moving Detector Goniophotometer (Mirror Type C) according to the customer’s budget and requirements. Finally the customer ordered two sets of LSG-5000CCD LM-79 Moving Detector Goniophotometers (Mirror Type C) in our company. One set was kept in their Guangzhou ‘s laboratory and the other was kept in their Saudi’s laboratory.
We arranged the productions soon after receiving the customer's order. While we were producing the equipments, our engineers designed the darkroom drawings according to the darkroom dimensions provided by the customer. After customers decorated the darkroom according to our darkroom drawings, their equipments were also completed. Our engineers first went to their Guangzhou laboratory for installation and training. After Guangzhou schedule finished, our engineer immediately went to their Saudi laboratory for installation and training. Because we have cooperated with this customer many times before, the installation and training operated smoothly and was completed quickly. TTC-1 Tracking Test Chamber is Designed According to IEC60112-2009
The full name of IEC60112-2009 is <Method for the determination of the proof and the comparative tracking indices of solid insulating materials>. It has been prepared by subcommittee 15E: Methods of test, of IEC technical committee 15: Insulating materials.The following is the original content of IEC60112-2009 Principle. The upper surface of the test specimen is supported in an approximately horizontal plane and subjected to an electrical stress via two electrodes. The surface between the electrodes is subjected to a succession of drops of electrolyte either until the over-current device operates, or until a persistent flame occurs, or until the test period has elapsed. The individual tests are of short duration (less than 1 h) with up to 50 or 1 00 drops of about 20 mg of electrolyte falling at 30 s intervals between platinum electrodes, 4 mm apart on the test specimen surface. An a.c. voltage between 1 00 V and 600 V is applied to the electrodes during the test. During the test, specimens may also erode or soften, thereby allowing the electrodes to penetrate them. The formation of a hole through the test specimen during a test is to be reported together with the hole depth (test specimen thickness). Retests may be made using thicker test specimens, up to a maximum of 1 0 mm. NOTE The number of drops needed to cause failure by tracking usually increases with decreasing applied voltage and, below a critical value, tracking ceases to occur. This method simulates tracking currents on insulation material by providing drops between electrodes. During the process of normal use, insulating material may be exposed to moisture and dirt, and may cause stress and fire hazard if it is conductive.

The full name of IEC 60068-2-11-3.1 is <Basic environment testing procedures Part 2: Tests Test Ka: Salt mist>. It is edited by the IEC technical committee in 1981. The following is the original content of IEC 60068-2-11-3.1 Test chamber. The chamber for this test shall be constructed of such materials will not influence the corrosive effects of the salt mist. The detailed construction of the chamber, including the method of producing the mist, is optional provided that: a) the conditions is the chamber are within the limits specified. b) a sufficiently large volume with constant, homogeneous conditions (not affected by turbulence) is available. these conditions should not be influenced by the specimens under test. c) no direct spray impinges upon the specimens under test. d) drops of liquid accumulating on the ceiling, the walls or other parts can not drip on the specimens. e) the chamber shall be properly vented to prevent pressure build-up and allow uniform distribution of salt fog. The discharge end of the vent shall be protected from squalls which can cause strong air currents in the chamber.
