Master Your Poker Skills
Playing poker online is certainly an exciting hobby. But if you are really interested turning your hobby into a profit, there are some general good guidelines that you should always keep in mind when you decide to play poker online. Although there are no secrets in how to make profits out of poker games there are some advices that can certainly help you improve. The more advanced players have always a technique that they use, they call it a poker strategy. Depending on the game that they play (Texas Hold'em, Omaha or other), the bet limits (pot limit-fixed limit or no limit) and the type of the table (cash game or tournament) because online casino sites have all these variations, they vary their poker strategy according to the circumstances that they are facing. In poker there is no such thing as stability either that means your poker strategy or your poker image. The more you vary your play the better.

1. Learn how to adopt to the different conditions that are generated by the game that you are playing by reading the different strategies that appeal to each type of game. For example playing in a No Limit Ring Table is a totally different condition than playing in a Fixed Limit Table and participating in a Multi-table Tournament is a whole different experience than in a Sit & Go Tournament. So it is critical to learn the different strategies that are used for each type, limit and variation of the specific poker game that you prefer to play. The more you read the better appreciation you will have of the way you should act and controlling your decisions will become easier. 2. Become familiar with the different poker players that you will come across at the tables and learn about their weaknesses and how you can win them. There are four main categories of online poker players to start with; the Tight-Passive Players, The Tight-Aggressive Players, The Loose-Passive Players and the Loose-Aggressive Players. The more you learn to distinguish your opponents according to their poker profiles the more you can control their game. For example a Loose-Agressive player or a Maniac makes high bets even with very weak starting cards (example 5-6) and the same bet he will make with a good pocket pair (example J-J). This attitude will make it impossible for you to understand the cards he is holding at each round (you will rarely see him fold). In order to beat him you should avoid confrontations with him as longs as you do not have very good starting cards because he is putting you in a big risk. But idn poker should be able to play quite aggressive against him when you make a strong connection to the board. In this case your patience will reward you. Distinguishing the different poker images has many benefits because it can protect you and your bankroll from opponents that you will certainly come across but if you don't know much about them you will not stand a chance against them. 3. Make decisions based on logic and mathematics and not decisions based on intuition nor feelings. Read about the Pot Odds, the Implied Odds and How to Calculate your Outs. This three different mathematics approaches of the game (that are related to each other) can help you decide what are the right bets you should put and if your bets at the current moment are justified by the money that are in the pot in relation to the strength of your hand. Even though at the beginning you might find it hard to calculating everything if your practice for an extended period of time it will come to you as a necessity. As you can see for yourself playing poker and make winnings out of it is a whole chapter that needs to be explored. If you are really fond of the poker games get your self acquainted with all the practices and the methods that are used worldwide. It is these practices that transform poker and especially Texas Hold'em one of the most popular and favorite poker games from a game of chance into a game of art.

Common Mistakes In Poker - 3 Common Post-Flop Mistakes And How To Avoid Them
There are many common mistakes in poker that you can make. The worst of these to make is post-flop. Playing correctly post-flop is the best way to stop losing money so read this article now to learn how to avoid the most common mistakes to make at this stage of the game. Common Mistakes In Poker - First Common Post-Flop Mistake The first most common post-flop mistake to make in poker is not interpreting the flop properly to begin with. This is a very important thing to be able to do because it forms the basis of information you will use to make your decisions. Avoid this mistake by learning to read the flop. First learn how to match it with your hand and outs, and learn how to know which flops are good for you or not. Then discover how to reverse engineer the flap to identify your opponents' possible hands. Common Mistakes Idn Poker - Second Common Post-Flop Mistake Further to the first point, the second post-flop mistake that gets players time and time again is not performing a continuation bet when they could take down the pot. Some players make mistake because the genuinely don't know - they are making the first mistake too - whilst others simply don't have the balls to push the bluff. Whichever one you are you need to get the issue sorted out so this cash-block is no longer in your way. Common Mistakes In Poker - Third Common Post-Flop Mistake

How to Win at Poker For a Profit - Texas Hold-Em
Anybody who tells you that the best way to win at poker is to have the best cards doesn't know how to play poker. The best way to win at poker is to read your opponent and their betting style. If you get good at this you don't even need to really play your cards. By that, I don't mean you can bet in to a hand with a 2 of hearts and 9 of clubs and expect to whip everybody. You need to understand which hands are playable while understanding the real game of Hold-Em comes down to how your opponent bets. Being able to read when the flop turns and they drop in triple the pot as a bet is the key to success. (Not that reading them will be that obvious, I was just making a point) But you also need to read the subtle bets and pay attention to what cards are turned over. People love to play a hand that they have already won with once in the evening. Heck, I have done it myself when I rode pocket 2's three times to the final table in a local tournament. But you watch them fall in to that trap and learn when to go for the pot.
Tumblr media
If you are just starting out playing, the first thing I recommend is making sure you watch what everybody plays. People tend to have a very specific set of cards. Some people will play only the top ten hands and they tend to do very well. You will learn that better players are able to play a bigger set of cards because they know the odds of what they need to take down the hand. idn poker will learn this too, but it just takes a bit of patience. Start out small and practice as often as you can.

Five Top Tips For Playing Online Video Poker
Online Video poker is a very popular game and it was one of the first card games to become mechanised in casinos when the technology became available. Some people actually make a reasonable living out of playing online video poker because although like all card games it is a game of chance, skill in deciding which cards to hold and which to discard is a large part of playing, so practice can make - almost - perfect. Everyone has their own tips for playing video poker, but the basics are below.
Tumblr media
Tip One: This is not a race. Many people new to online video poker but familiar with other online games which are normally played against the clock often are in the habit of rushing through play and not giving reasonable thought to each choice. Your choice of cards to hold on to needs to have a sensible amount of thought given to it - although obviously on odd occasions you will be dealt a dream hand with no second thinking necessary - so don't rush it unnecessarily. Tip Two: Chose the pay table with care. You will find as you look around the different sites that different games will have different pay outs for different hands. They won't differ hugely, but over time a few pence here or there will end up making a difference - don't forget, it is theoretically possible for you to make regular winnings at video poker and with this aim in mind, every little helps. Tip Three: It may seem obvious, but make sure you know the hands. Most video poker is five card draw and this is pretty much as simple as it gets. With different payouts for different hands displayed clearly on the machine you might think there is no need to be familiar with the hands but you need to know how to decide whether to stick with your aim of royal flush or whether a full house now is better than a possible big payout later - which might not happen. Don't count your chickens and don't throw the baby out with the bathwater - two completely unconnected old sayings which nevertheless are applicable to playing poker. In this respect they mean don't wait for a card that might never be dealt and don't throw away a boring but winning hand because you are waiting for something better. Tip Four: Watch your spending. Because you play online video poker by yourself - no dealer, no other players - it is easy to go into a world of your own and forget this is real money you are spending. Real money set aside for a bit of video poker is one thing; real money set aside for paying the rent is completely another, so be careful. The same goes for winnings - don't put them back in the pot to gamble with. Take out the 'profit' or in the end you could well end up with nothing and you will always regret it. Video poker like all gambling is meant to be fun. Tip Five: Watch the clock. Don't play for hours on end, even if your budget allows. If idn poker play too long you can get a little 'punch drunk' and if you make a note of your winnings against time, you will almost certainly find they get less as you tire, so little and often should be the rule.
