hi welcome to the first installment of deers devlog. 2/26/23.
todays task is to decide a theme. ive tackled various themes with my stories, and my favourite has been an exploration of innocence and childhood. and as much as i would love to tell this story, i do not want to risk putting child characters into the lisa fandom. that will go wrong very very quickly.
so ive opted to make up something specifically for this game. with this project, i am going against all of my writing instincts and instead picking a name before i start the story. itll probably change later down the line, but a placeholder name can prompt me with a vibe for the game.
first decision is, do i want to stick with a -ful title? we all know em. painFUL, joyFUL, hopeFUL, fuckyouFUL. in a similar vein, theres the -less titles. pointLESS coming to mind first but a lot of small projects following this pattern.
i could also just pick like. a normal ass adjective. this is more original but less recognizable. you win some you lose some.
while trying to pick a name for this project, i was struck with inspiration. i am an atheist with catholic religious trauma, but i have been studying christianity kinda just for fun. so, religious themes could be very interesting, and wouldnt stray too far from themes of the first.
soooo i went with faithful. :)
step 2 is figuring out an actual plot
update 01: i tried fleshing it out and it went horribly so ill rethink this lol
