Ayumi Hamasaki and Taiwan Boy Group New Force “SpeXial” Collaborate!

Ayumi Hamasaki decided to collaborate with a very popular boy group in Taiwan, SpeXial. SpeXial is under the agency who has created the popular groups, F4 and Fahrenheit, a 10-member group named for “eXtra Special”. The members participated in dramas “K.O.3an Guo”, “K.O. One 2″, “K.O. One 3″, and “GTO Taiwan”, produced by Taiwan and Japan, etc.. They are the dancing/singing group that has been having a rapid rise in popularity. This collaboration came after discussions within the staff, they became interested in them for starting to emerge from Taiwan, which prompted this collaboration. There were rumors about this collaboration in Taiwan, and Taiwanese newspapers had already reported about this. Ayumi, on her own twitter, included a link to the article and the following comment:

“Meanwhile I’ll report something to everyone, about the article that started appearing maybe yesterday morning, even though I don’t know how the news got leaked, but what it says is real.”

The song Ayumi Hamasaki collaborated with SpeXial is called “Sayonara feat. SpeXial”. The is produced by a very popular DJ and producer Daishi Dance, who has also worked on songs such as Big Bang’s “Haru Haru”. Ayumi’s song “What Is Forever Love” in her album “Colours”, released in July of 2014, was also produced by him. In the EDM event at “Electrox” in January of 2015, Ayumi and Daishi Dance met for the first time, and to our knowledge Ayumi invited him to write a song for her at that time.

Also, SpeXial’s members already went to Japan to film an MV with Ayumi Hamasaki in a certain studio in Tokyo for this song. Their picture together was released to the public the day of the filming.

This new song “Sayonara feat. SpeXial” and other MVs will be recorded in Ayumi’s new EP, which will be released on August 5th in Japan. This album will also have the song “Step By Step”, which is featured in Yukie Nakama’s NHK drama “Beauty and the Fellow”, it’s definitely the most anticipated work this summer.
