Long time no see! When I say I'm a slow reader I actually mean it, I haven't finished a book since I finished Manacled (I was too depressed to read anything else). Anyhow THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I'VE EVER READ!!!
I loved the plot, the characters (especially Nathaniel loml and Silas), the world building, the cover, everything. Nathaniel's and Elisabeth's relationship is pure gold I love them. Nathaniel's and Silas' bond goes beyond just a bargain and I'm obsessed. Speaking of relationships, I truly wish we could have seen more of Silas and Elisabeth, because they're lovely.
The chapters were the perfect length in my opinion, not too long, not too short. I have nothing to complain so this review will be sort because usually I complain very very much (oops).
Anyway 5/5 stars tyvm see you tomorrow (or next week in case I forget) for my review of the novella (also loved that one). Highly recommend this book especially if I like you.

So, we're doing something a little different this time, I'm reviewing a fanfic! Frankly, because I haven't read anything else in a really really long time.
Do I like Dramione? No. Why did I read this fanfic? Because I wanted to see if the training against depressing fanfics that being a marauders fan comes with will work on awfully sad fanfics. Spoiler: no it didn't!
At first I was like ew wtf and started to think that whatever Hermione's lost memories were they couldn't be that much important, the order has lost and everyone died, what ese could be there? But when I got to the flashbacks, oh dear god! It was literally depressing, seeing the parallels between Draco's and Hermione's behaviour and interactions in the flashbacks and thir behaivour and interactions in the present broke my heart. THE RINGS! THE "YOU'D MAKE A GOOD HEALER"! MY HEART!
Then Lucius came along, then it became even more depressing, the fact that he gave his life so Draco could be happy even if he hated Hermione. Narcissa's portrait, my heart broke. Ginny being alive? I cried so much, I don't think I can ever recover from this.
The book was so good that it put me in the biggest book slump ever. I've been trying to read other books but I can't. Manacled will forever have a special place in my heart. Manacled is also the reason I now can't hate Snape even tho I'm a marauders fan.
Anywho if I could give a book more than 5 starts, then Manacled would have 10000000, but it can't, so it's 5/5.

Ok so I might have lied, I completely forgot to post this yesterday oops. I'm still trying to get back on a streak I promise. Here is the review I promised two days ago btw.
I'm not going to explain what's happening in the book, I'm probably not going to do that ever again so you can go read the synopsis, but since you're reading this I'd assume you've already read this book.
I'd give this book 4.7 stars since it's way better than the last but not the best I've ever read. I've seen that, in pretty much all of Stephanie Garber's books I've read, predictability isn't missing. It was predictable that Jacks was The Archer and so was seeing that the Valors were in the arch, it wasn't that much of a shock factor.
Again, I've mentioned this in the review of ouabh, I've thought "maybe Evangeline is more of a badass girlboss in the second book" but nahh she's still the same dependent girl as in the first book I'm sorry but y'all gotta stop saying everybody is a girlboss when they aren't.
Same problem with extra short chapters in this book too, but except these 3 things it was a pretty ok book, I think I'm being too generous with the stars but meh it's fine ig.

I have finished this book a while ago but I forgot about the existence of tumblr so here it is, get ready because tomorrow you'll be getting the review of the second book aswell we're back on the daily post streak.
I'm too sleepy to explain what the book is about so if you wanna know, read the synopsis or something like that because I'll be getting right into the review.
My rating of this book is a 3.5/5 perhaps 4/5 if I'm being generous, I hated the character development, but the world building makes up for it. The way Stephanie described the Magnificent North was amazing, although I must admit I wanted to see more of the Meridian Empire.
Many people who recommended this book to me described Evangeline as a "girlboss", girl where? She's as dependent of other people as we depend on air. The fact that she was the key was so predictable and the fact that Apollo wasn't actually dead could be seen from miles away.
We're not even gonna talk about Jacks, his character was shitty, he didn't even have development until the third part of the book. I've said I like short chapters but not this short.

Long time no see fellow bookworms, I have come with yet another peace offering, yes, you guessed it, a new book review!
I'm personally giving this book 3/5 stars. It was very predictable, it's always the obvious or the least expected suspect, the latter in this situation, the plot wasn't that much of a deal for a murder mystery book. Unlike the gr reviews who didn't expect the plot twist, I did, it was basic.
If you'd pus the two halves of the book in different pdf's, without mentioning it was the same book, I wouldn't have guessed. The first half is so boring I fought the urge to sleep while the second had way more action and the writing style changed drastically.
Let's be honest who even says "holy pepperoni"? It only took me like few weeks to finish this book because I borrowed it from my friend and I don't like having them for too long.

Cardan’s fingers dig into my back. He’s trembling, and whether it is from ebbing magic or horror, I am not sure. But he holds me as though I am the only solid thing in the world.<3

It Ends With Us

Sometimes I wonder if I know what I am getting into, when it comes to this book, no I did not realize what I was getting myself into till half way throughout the book. I am not really into real life like books, but honestly "It Ends With Us" is one of my exceptions besides Sally Rooney. Although the writing style isn't amazing, the action, the plot, the characters, the feelings this books gives you are making the book worth the money. I was pretty scared that the actual idea of the book would be covered up in pink hearts, rainbows and all pink vision, but I was wrong, happily, I was so wrong. I respect Lily with all my heart and mind, I, with my experiences, which I will not share, found Lily's story so horrifyingly beautiful, so accurate that it hurts. If you're asking, yes, I did cry, which doesn't happen a lot, so Colleen, if you somehow see this, take it as a compliment. With every chapter, every page, every paragraph, every freaking word, I could feel myself through the strong woman that Lily Bloom is. It is definitely one of my favourite books, one of my soul books, but, with some things I didn't like, for example the long chapters, timeskips in important parts of the book and finally the mention of pop media, I will give it a 4/5 stars.

Holly Black Her writing is amazing, her books are simply the best and never disappoint you. If I see her books in the book store they're automatically considered as bought. Sally Rooney Although I do agree there are better genres than she writes, she's definitely my top writer when it comes to real-life like genres. Madeline Miller Her writing is amazing, her stories, although classics, are greatly rewritten/reinterpreted. The covers also make the books worth the money in case they are not too good (action-wise).
Soman Chainani
He is one of the only men who know how to write women. His retellings and next gen fairytales are so good that I fell in love immediately. If his books are somewhere in the book shop lmk asap cause you've got yourself a new sale.

Real people on book covers I read books so I can escape reality I do not need reality on a book cover, thank you next. Examples: Daisy Jones & The Six, The Selection; Long chapters I have ADHD and long chapters make me loose attention and interest, long chapters make me feel disconnected and personally I think it usually adds unnecessary information. Examples: LOTR, The Secret History; Stickers and Fake Stickers Please stop ruining the cover and the book in general thank you. "It was all a dream' endings Horrible way of reminding me it was just a book thank you for making me cry out of anger. When people put tabs over a half an inch outside the book Please never do that, they will be ruined when you put the book back on your shelf, I understand you don't want to cover up text just cut it shorter. Using highlighters even if you know they leak trough the pages
If you do that stay away from me, at this point you're just ruining the book, just cut coloured tabs and stick them over text if you really want to highlight. Using weird words for genitalia Get the fuck out.

"Belladonna" by Adalyn Grace, first book of the duology with it's name, has an unexpected review from me, despite the average rating on Good reads. The books follows the adventure of Signa Farrow, a girl with the ability of seeing spirits, as well as the Death. Coming with the curse of death over all of her past guardians, Signa moves to the Thorn Grove estate, which reveals to have a murder mystery, which she must solve. As I mentioned above, despite the average rating on Good reads (which is insanely high for the actual content of the book), is one of the worst books I've ever read. It is not only predictable, but also cringe and full of second hand embarrassment, which makes it painful to read. The book features some romance between Signa and Death. Only things I liked about the book is Death and his charm and ability of being extremely funny and the hardcover version of the book which gave me high expectations because I live by judge a book by it's cover. I do not recommend this book unless you want to torture yourself or I don't like you. Keep your money as it's not worth it in my opinion. First time I read this I DNF'ed but after some time I forced myself to finish it just to write this review. Sometimes I wish I could give books 0 stars, but as it's not possible 1/5 stars is my review.

The Queen of Nothing

"The Queen of Nothing" by Holly Black, third book of the series "Folk of the Air", is by far one of my favorite books. The story is set in two realms: the mortal world and Faerie, a fairytale land which we discover more about in the first two books, and follows the story of Jude, a mortal who somehow managed to trick her enemy, Cardan Greenbriar, into becoming king by her command. Cardan isn't so pleased with the idea and, in the end of the last book, marries her so he could get his freedom and she can still rule. Not so long after, Jude gets exiled into the mortal world for murdering High King's brother. In "The Queen of Nothing", Jude, who now lives with her sister Vivienne, gets an unexpected visit from her twin sister, Taryn (bonus points that the character has my name although I kind of hate her), who murdered her husband and asks Jude to go to an inquest disguised as her. The book takes an unexpected turn when Cardan recognizes her (I will not go much into detail as I'm beginning to write a little too much). The book features romance between the main character, Jude and her love interest, Cardan, as well as a spicy moment between those two. One aspect I absolutely loved in all three books is the character development. I am also fond of angst, so the tragic moments, sad battles and discoveries were highly appreciated by me. I strongly believe that everyone should read this book at least once as it's incredible, well written and quite funny as well. Holly Black did an amazing job with this trilogy, mainly with this book in particular and I recommend them to everyone I meet (and I like). A solid 5/5 stars.
