Hey Boo, how are you? I hope you are fine.

It was a long and a hard semester for me for real. We learned so many things as we usually do. I don’t know if you liked my posts this time or no. But, u can say that this time will be the last time that will be doing an assignment from this course. So you will miss my posts and homework. I am sure that you will miss my interesting writings.

I will give you an advice Boo. Try to write every step you take in your life, your process. The time is going to fast and you might forget how you reach that place one day. Your writings, your drawings, your readings and everything you did in your school life. You will feel so much proud when you see them.

And her is another advice for you Badia.

Be proud of yourself

Enjoy whatever you are doing

Write and write, so you feel better

And you know what, i am sure that you will reach what you want.

AR Integrated Teaching Materials

Hey Boo, how are you? I hope you are fine.

Imagine being able to explore a place you’ve never been to without ever leaving your home. That’s exactly what AR and VR technologies make possible! They don’t just take you on a journey—they immerse you in experiences that feel almost real.

AR (Augmented Reality) enhances the world around you by blending it with digital elements, while VR (Virtual Reality) transports you into an entirely virtual environment. These tools are proving to be game-changers in education, offering new ways to make lessons more engaging and interactive.

For our recent project, we were asked to create a lesson plan using AR/VR. We chose Japan as our theme, focusing on iconic landmarks and attractions that students would enjoy exploring. We found places with 360-degree tours and developed activities and questions to guide their learning.

To take it a step further, we also included a virtual museum tour. This allowed students to experience the exhibits as if they were walking through the museum in real life, all while answering questions tied to what they saw.

Flipped Classroom Approach

Hello dear boos!

Today, we’re diving into the Flipped Classroom Approach. So, what does “flipped” mean?

In this approach, what’s normally done in class—like lessons—is done at home, and what’s usually homework is done in class. Students take charge of their learning by watching videos and doing activities before class. This way, they come prepared and spend class time practicing what they’ve learned.

For our assignment, we created a grammar-focused lecture video for the flipped classroom. We chose the topic “should/must.” First, we designed the visuals and wrote example sentences. Then, we recorded our voices to explain the topic and read the activities. Finally, we added the audio to the video and made it interactive using Quizziz. It was time-consuming but also fun and educational!

Corpus-based Teaching Material

Hey friends, how are you? Is everything fine?

I recently designed a fun, detective-themed lesson to teach kids how to use the words because and so. The idea was to make learning grammar interactive and engaging by combining a corpus-based approach. I did it with my friends elif and bade

First, what’s project-based learning? It’s a way of teaching where students work on a big project that’s connected to the real world. They get to explore, create, and solve problems while learning important skills. It’s a great way to make language learning more interesting and meaningful.

We designed worksheets and templates to guide students through each stage of the project. Using Canva, we created visually engaging materials, including brainstorming sheets, campaign posters, and a checklist for presentations. To incorporate corpus use, we provided students with a mini-corpus of sample campaign slogans and persuasive language to analyze patterns.

this project turned out pretty well! It was fun to see students use English in creative ways while also learning about an important issue.

Hello Again Boo

It’s been a long time no see, how are you? Is everything all right? How was your summer holiday? Did you enjoy every moment of it?

Let me tell you first what did i in my holidays. So first of all, I went to my home country Algeria but just for a month, so I didn’t spend that much time with my family and friends in my hometown, but I went to another city in the west of Algeria which is called Constantine. It was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen.

The time went so fast and here we go again with school and homework. But the most challenging thing this time is the far campus which is the top of the mountain.

Whatever, let me tell you why I am here again and what’s this year.

So first of all, my lesson name is The Current Issues in Teaching, it is talking about Language Learning and technology in the Past, present & future. What are we facing as a new generation of teachers and what we can do as teachers to integrate technology to our classes?

Hey Boo

Today is the day, today is the day that i will post my last post for this semester, it was a very enjoyable experience. I feel like i can write and i can see my process at that same time. I will do the same thing for my students, i will teach them how to use technology and how it can help them to learn and achieve so many things. And one of the important things is to see you in my blog. I don’t know if you were with me from the beginning or you joined me in one of the other posts.

You know what? I can be a blogger that what i got while writing and posting here in Tumbler. I thank my teacher for this really different type of homework. I can say that this course was very informative for us as students.

Learning a new language is never without its challenges. You may struggled with pronunciation, had difficulty understanding native speakers. All of these are natural part of the learning process. Remember, each challenge is a step toward mastery :)

It was very good to see you Boo, i hope we can meet in another post again maybe next year, we will never know :)

Did You Ever Think That You Can Talk To Your Favorite Character?

Hello Boo how are you is everything going well? I hope so.

So today I will give new information about one of the artificial intelligence tools, and it is that we can talk to any character in any story or any book or any person in history. That is what I did with my friend Elif. We choose to talk to Traoum from the movie Truman Show. It was a successful experience, it was like talking to the real character from that movie, his answers, his thoughts, and even his plans for the future after escaping from the show.

I think you are wondering which app we used for that right? It was Magic School AI Tool. You can have a look if you want to. So firstly, we opened an account on the website, then we chose a character, then we just started to ask questions and he answered all the questions fluently and cleverly like a real person. It gave us answers in long paragraphs so it took time to summarize all of them and make our report.

Okay… After summarizing the Chabot's answers, we took our second step which was to give the first draft report to the Writing Feedback Tool and receive the report according to it. According to the feedback we had some mistakes in our report like some minor grammar and punctuation mistakes.

We fixed the punctuation errors, and reshape the report, we linked both for you Boo.

I liked this experience so much, I already love AI. But at the same time, it can affect students badly. AI limits students' creativity and makes them very lazy. So we need to use it effectively and teach students how to learn with it instead of leaning on it.

A Film Review: The Truman Show

Hey Boo

How are you doing ? I hope you’re fine and everything is fine. first of all, I want to give u a good news for today. And that is that i got my A1 in spanish today ;( i am so happy for that. I will teach one word this time and that word is película, it means movie. And because we mentioned that i can say that this time our final assignment is to write a movie review but collaboratively and online. With another words, writing together in the same document and in the same time to learn how to work with each other.

Okay, it wasn’t that much hard actually, because we used to do that in writing researches and articles in the other lessons such curriculum design lesson.

I did the review with my close friends again, Elif and Bade. You can check their blogs to.

We used Google Docs to write the review. I was the one who chose the movie :)

The Truman Show is a movie that can effect anyone who watched it because of its different ideas.

It may be Jim Carrey’s best work.

The easiest part was mine and it was the first part. So i just wrote the the name of the movie, the characters and genre.

But the part that i really like was when i wrote my opinion about the movie.

Digital Storie

Hello Boo

How are you? Is everything fine? It has been a long time since we talked, we had exams that's why I didn’t post for 2 weeks I think. Whatever, the exams were not that much good. But I didn’t study for them that much :)

So today I will present to you another assignment for my final exam. This time our teacher asked us to create a digital story. This assignment was a little bit weird for me, I never thought that we would write a story and then create the characters of it.

We wrote the story in Word first. Then we designed the characters using the website Pixton. Finally, we used the VN edit app to mix the photos with the voiceover after recording it and adding some background music.

There were 3 different characters, a boy called Robin, a teacher called Mandala, and a girl called Quinn. The story was about a boy who wanted to learn about his grades and went to the teacher’s office, but unfortunately, he failed the exam, so he asked his teacher to help him find a solution or he would lose his scholarship. The teacher asked him to find chemicals for her experiment. That's where the story begins.

I don’t want to give so many spoilers from the story, I want you to watch it and give me your opinions in the comments.

Podcast

Hello boo again

How are you? Is everything fine? I hope so :)

So I came up with another post, but this time it will be a podcast.

I think you are wondering what is the podcast about.

I talked about one of my dreams. And that is being in a world without borders, using one currency, being equal and free to travel all the world with our identities only.

Podcasts are one of the most used tools recently due to their ease of use. People can listen to podcasts on the bus, on the train, and even when they are at the gym on the treadmill. Podcasts have several types depending on the purposes, and this is what makes them diverse in all aspects, from language to topics presented.

Making the podcast was a lot of fun, from writing the script to recording it and adding background music to it. I recorded it as a video at first, and then converted it via an Internet link into an audio clip. In the end, I tried to find pages to publish the podcast. Finally, I found a website called Internet Archive, I opened an account on it, and then I added the edited audio recording to it. So this is how I created a podcast.

The most difficult part was finding the distinctive idea, as most of the ideas had been found and used before. I tried to search for some political and intellectual books that I had read before and asked several people who specialized in sociology since the topic was related to the world and humanity. Finally, I came up with an idea that I believe that it is new and difficult to achieve, because of its almost impossible theories, such as unifying the currency in the world, abolishing borders between countries, and unifying identity cards, which make everyone equal. In addition to that, making the podcast exactly 60 seconds, no less and no more was hard too. These were the challenges I faced while making the podcast.

The first line of defense against cyberbullying could be you

Hello boo again in another post.

Did you read the title, interesting, isn't it?

I think everyone was bullied in his or her life, even for one time. But what makes our case different is the digital world. The internet offers countless opportunities for connection. One of the dark sides of online behavior is cyberbullying. People in this generation are getting bullied by their phones, which they take with them everywhere. The phenomenon of cyberbullying affects social media users mentally, and emotionally as well as their relationships and academics, teenagers especially and it leads them even to suicide. This time our instructor asked us to design an infographic and gave us so many different topics. But cyberbullying was the topic that got my attention according to my experience with it. Designing this infographic was fun and easy. I used the Canva design program, adding some free elements, changing the size of my paragraphs, searching for sources, and trying to summarize texts. Infographics are a powerful tool for communication that helps language students learn vocabulary. According to some research the human brain processes visual information faster and more effectively than text alone which makes data more accessible and memorable. Infographics offer a solution by distilling complex information into bite-sized, visually appealing chunks. Creating an infographic as homework will help English language students learn how to deliver information to their students in the future, especially since the next generation will prefer receiving information rapidly.

Are we unlucky or are we the luckiest generation ever? As the old people say

My father used to tell me "When we were students we use to do that… we used to do that, everything was hard for us, the school was so far, the books were expensive, the information was too difficult to reach… but everything is so easy for you these years and it's getting easier so fast in a crazy way, you can know anything everywhere in just seconds only by pressing some buttons in your smartphones which you take with you even to the toilet "+_+

I think he is right actually, we have access as students to knowledge at our fingertips… Thanks to the internet firstly and thanks to smartphones or let's say thank god for being a part of this generation… to be honest with you Boo I don't know if I am happy or not, are you?

What about learning languages, is this technology beneficial ?

Boo try to remember how you learned a new language, it may be English, German, or any other language.

As a future English language teacher, I can say that teaching and learning a language in the 21st century is comfortable for both sides (the teacher and the students).

Students now can learn anytime, anywhere, at their own pace, and for free or at lower costs.

For example, i am learning German on duolingo, and it is really helpful.

Eduction in the 21st century is changing so fast, Online courses, personalized learning, and gamification make learning more fun and accessible. Important trends include focusing on students, combining science with arts, and teaching about global issues. Lifelong learning and skills like communication and teamwork are crucial for today’s jobs.

Teachers now guide and support students more personally and keep updating their skills to provide the best education. And that what we will do in the future :)
