One of my biggest pet peeves in the fandom is people saying Zhongli is "learning from Venti's way of ruling". He isn't, he's taken a different approach.
Venti is still his nation's god, they still believe in him and pray for him to intervene when they need him too and he indeed has done so when that time came. This belief his people have in him even lead to the tragedy that was Signora's anger towards him because he didn't appear when he was needed in her eyes.
Zhongli has done the opposite, he's removed himself from the picture entirely and made his nation stand alone. He made sure that they knew they only had themselves to rely on going forward and he made sure that they were ready to take that step.
This isn't me trying to criticise any of them, both of their methods of entrusting freedom to their nation has their pros and cons but I am a bit tired of people acting like Zhongli "finally learned where Venti was coming from" when it came to leading his nation because they aren't doing the same thing.
