god forbid women do anything like going to a haunted house out of loneliness and getting unhealthily attached to another woman and becoming the haunting itself and then driving into a tree. nobody even stopped her so why is that her fault.

i think we could get somewhere more effectively if more ppl realized tht patriarchy isn’t some invisible force governing society like some dark matter shit but it’s millions of individual decisions and actions taken over time that put men in positions of power and KEEP them in power. it’s not that every man intentionally protects patriarchy but they subconsciously do by making decisions that inherently fit within the patriarchy’s mold, because it’s the only one we can observe at this point. there is responsibility on men to work on that bias just like there’s responsibility on white people to work on racial bias. saying “patriarchy hurts men too!” is a gross oversimplification of the fact that men intentionally give up certain freedoms in order to condemn women for not doing so, and gain a sense of inherent superiority for it (“men aren’t allowed to cry” — because women are seen as overly emotional, so if a man is emotional he is acting “like a woman” and therefore weak) these are individual pieces of a broader picture that we call “patriarchy”, which isn’t guided by an invisible structure but the conditioning of men by other men to preserve their superiority at a very small cost. men are not victims nor are they exempt from responsibility. they are the drivers of it. understand how it works and remains relevant.

i don’t think mordecai and rigby were ever gay for each other but i do think many times rigby would be like dude if i was a girl would you want to fuck me and mordecai is like dude that’s weird. no. and rigby is all bent out of shape about it and in the middle of the night when they’re both trying to sleep he’s like why wouldn’t you fuck me if i was a girl. i’m cute right? or am i ugly and that’s why i’m single… and mordecai is like fine whatever i’d fuck girl you. stop bringing it up now. & the next day rigby is like fuck off muscle man i’m not ugly mordecai said he’d fuck girl me & then a portal opens to an alternate dimension where they’re genderbent like that adventure time episode and the voice of god is like mordecai you must make good on your word. fuck girl rigby.
