A light, fun and cheesy drama that somehow deals with the beauty standards of the world. This is jtbc’s My ID is Gangnam Beauty. The story of a woman living a new life through plastic surgery. She meets Do KyungSuk at the college, while everyone thinks that appearance is important, he thinks differently. She will learn what is real “beauty”.

“Life is all about fighting through your struggles. People might seem like they're living a worry-free life but they're all just trying their best to keep living.” -Na Eun Shin
“If you’re going to apologize, do it properly.” -Do Kyung Seok
“It’s not like some people don’t deserve to be loved or aren’t allowed to be attracted to someone. There’re no such rules, and no one has the right to laugh at you. Also, when you’re attracted to someone, you can’t control your feeling.” -Yeon Woo Young
“Why in the world do we have to be like this? We lose weight when we aren't even fat. We throw up and do plastic surgeries as if we will die if we aren't pretty. We give marks on people's faces and fight ourselves. Why on earth do we have to be like this? I don't want to do it anymore. I really don't want to. I will think over about what will make me happy again from now on. I will do it.” -Kang Mi Rae
Will I recommend? Absolutely. Although it isn’t perfect drama (i mean there are some plot holes you know), it still is a must-watch drama. It deals with the cruel side of the standards of beauty and how it forces someone to be unhappy with his/her life just because he/she does not fit to their standard of beauty. We are all insecure and some of us doesn’t want to feel inferior of others. As the saying goes, the people that bring you down are not the people above you, but the people below you. Anyways, you should watch this drama. I really enjoyed it while waiting for the results of the board exam and let us not talk about it. I was pleased with most parts. I just feel like there’s so much that happened in the last episode that they could’ve split it into parts you know. Anyways, you should totally watch this drama!! Can we talk about Eun Woo’s visuals?! MY HEART

Literal perfect balance of fluffiness, intensity and great acting and script. This is SBS’ While You Were Sleeping. It’s a supernatural romance about a woman who can see the future in her dreams and a prosecutor who fights to stop these future events from happening. The heroine has dreams about unfortunate events that will happen to other people and the hero is a prosecutor who runs around trying to prevent her tragic visions from coming true.

Favorite Lines:
“Don’t blame yourself. Blame yourself but keep it short and remember it for a long time.” – Choi Dam Dong
“This all will pass. This may look like something big. When things pass, they are nothing. You won’t believe it, but you will talk about things as if they’re some jokes. So, tell yourself to not worry about things too much.” – Jung Jae Chan
“Even if life gives you trials, do not be sad or angry. Your heart lives in the future. Your present is sad. Everything is a short moment. What passed, and what’s passing now…will be cherished in the future.”
Will I recommend? 120%. It was an amazing drama overall although there were just some parts like it started out 100% strong but somewhat ended a bit like 99-98% strong. I don’t know if it’s just me. It’s a good drama that is a bit far from reality but gives you the exact dose of life. I just love this drama so much!! The quirks and fluffiness is just perfect and not over the top but it still gives the intensity of a crime drama. OKAY I JUST LOVE THIS DRAMA SO MUCH and this review is so late. For me, this is the best drama of 2017 so far.

Hi have you watched scent of a woman? can you recommend me a drama like that? Where the girl has terminal illness & fights for it alone while hiding it?
Hi! I’m sorry but I haven’t really watched a good amount of kdramas since I’ve only started properly watching kdramas this year so I think I’ve only watched around 20-40. Also, I haven’t watched scent of a woman. Some of the kdramas I can recommend that are heartfelt(for me) are W(Two Worlds), Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim, Deserving of the Name and the currently airing drama While You Were Sleeping. Hope I helped! :)

I’m sorry. You must’ve resented me a lot earlier at the substation. It’s all because I’m incompetent. Because I’m so incompetent, I have too many regrets. I just don’t want you to turn out like me. I want you… to have a much better life. I guess that’s why my expectations keep getting higher. I want you to be taller than me. I want you to own a car even if I commute by bus. I’ve never been on an airplane, but I want you to fly first class all the time. I started my career as a Grade Nine public official, so I want you to start at a higher level.

Just a fluffy cute drama. This is what you watch after watching a heavy, emotional roller coaster drama. This is tvN’s The Liar and His Lover. A famous composer with a hidden identity falls for a girl with a great voice in this adaptation of the popular manga of the same name.

“We realize that we’re alone when we’re among people. When you feel that no one among all those people is on your side, loneliness can surge up, and it’s more terrifying than anything else.” -Seo Chan Young
“Even gems only become truly precious if they’re treated that way.” - Yoon So Rim
“So I think you can just make your own choice. I’m just bluffing and I don’t know how to change. Plus I’m scared to change. So I just cant admit that I’ve been wrong all this time. I’ve lived my life that way for years. It’s because I don’t want to admit that I’m wrong if i talk like I know everything.” - Kang In Woo
Will I recommend? Yes. I actually like this drama. It isn’t depressing and emotional to watch but it will still give you the right feels. There were some awkward acting but it didn’t bother me much. What made me watch this drama is Lee Hyun Woo and I like the story later on. Also, I love the OSTs(favorite is Your Days). It’s so fun and such a bop! I love Joy’s voice. I’m so happy that they made Hyun Woo sing yaaas.
Despite people not liking this drama, I loved it because it’s refreshing from watching heavy dramas and it’s a bit coming-of-age I think. You should watch it and see if you’ll like it because you never know.

A drama about dreams, family and reality- with a hint of time travel. This drama is KBS’ The Best Hit, or also known as Hit the Top. Lee Ji Hoon and Choi Woo Seung are two childhood friends who also happen to be preparatory students for the civil service exam, although Ji Hoon has a secret dream to be a singer and songwriter. One day they meet Yoo Hyun Jae, a 90s popular but problematic member of a popular idol group, who accidentally travel through time to the year 2017 from the year 1993. Thus, begin the story of passion, love, and friendship among 20s youth in the entertainment industry.

Favorite Lines:
“We study, not because we want to become somebody. We study, because we don’t want to be nobody.” -Choi Woo Seung
“Whatever it is, I’m done with giving up. I’m not giving up anymore.” -Lee Ji Hoon
“Our best days are the days we haven’t lived yet. That’s why the present and everything we do now are precious to us. We still have our best hit coming.” -Lee Ji Hoon
“I guess he didn’t want to change things because of him.” -Yoo Hyun Jae
Will I recommend? 110% YES. It seriously has the best OSTs! It is a light drama but at the same time, it’s complicated. There is always a reason why things happen the way it did. I was seriously waiting for the “OST” a blog said about a collaboration of Cha Eun Woo, Kim Min Jae and Lee Se Young bUT THERE IS NONE. There isn’t a boring part, well at least for me. I seriously enjoyed each moment and shipped Woo Seung to three guys.
I’m going to miss this drama so much! It seriously talks about dreams and I love that and it also talks about reality. I guess what draw me to this drama, aside from Kim Min Jae, is the fact that it’s so real. Like, these things happen in real life and they depicted it in a nice way, um not overreacting way.
I’m going to miss the friendship between Da Bong(Hyun Jae), Woo Seung, Ji Hoon and Drill. They are not the most ideal squad but they are the best out there. Ji Hoon and Drill’s friendship is goals. Oh, Mal Sook And Hyun Jae’s scenes were one of the most entertaining! I just love love LOVE when they had a memorial for Hyun Jae, and surprise!
This is one of the best ongoing dramas I have watched and of 2017. Every episode was worth the wait! I love the mix of family, dream, reality and a little bit of time travel into this. It’s also heartwarming. They did well in balancing it. And don’t forget the romance. Although I have mixed feelings towards the ending, but at the same time I totally understand it. UGH, can there be a season 2 please? I need to see more of JB’s debut aND WHY DIDN’T YOU LET ME SEE THEM PERFORM HUHU. And I was waiting for Ji Hoon and Hye Ri to get together. Oh, and also MJ’s jokes (+his scenes with Hyun Jae) are funny!
Watch it!!

I have mixed feelings with this drama. This drama is OCN’s My Secret Romance. Cha Jin Wook is a son from a wealthy family who runs a large company. He usually only pursues short-term love, but when he meets Lee Yoo Mi, who has never had a boyfriend before, he changes. In a dating world full of busy people who tend to flirt and chase “some” relationships rather than having meaningful connections that allow them to show their true feelings, this couple has a one-night stand. They meet again three years later, whereupon they kick off a shaky push-pull romance that’ll keep them on their toes as they fall in love. PS. The plot is from mydramalist.

“Go get her. Are you going to let her get away? People always make fun of the way I dress. They say its tacky, unflattering, strange, and that I’m crazy. I know that. I know everything, but I play dumb, act calm and firm. I just ignore it. Why? Because I like the way I dress. Because I want to do it. Because this makes me happy.” -Jang Woo Jin
"Whenever I see you, I’m reminded of past memories that I want to forget." -Lee Yoo Mi
“I could have won you over, but I was a little too late.” -Jung Hyun Tae
Will I recommend? Yes. Despite having mixed feelings for this, it was entertaining, fluffy cute and nice. It started out cute but I was a bit disappointed towards the end. If this is OCN’s first romance themed drama, they did a good job but they need to improve so much more.
It’s an entertaining drama but lacks something, especially the end. I was waiting for them to get married ehem. Also, when they pushed Hye-ri with Hyun-tae. They’re cute but I think their romance could’ve been created better?. Part of the reason why I kept watching and waiting every week for a new episode is Sung Hoon. He does an amazing job! And, that appetizer woah don’t even get me started. I’m not over that yet. Hihi. Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun had a great chemistry. Secretary Jang never fails to entertain me and his chemistry with Kang Je Ni. Oh, and Dong Goo was absolutely the cutest! Dong Goo + Jin Wook made my heart flutter because they were so adorable!!
It started out great and nevertheless, you should watch it and please tolerate the last few episodes. It ends peacefully.

This drama left some of my questions unanswered but at the same time, it gave me more than what I had expected. The cons are the best!! This drama is OCN’s 38 Task Force. The task force chief of Seoul City Hall and a con man work together to collect taxes from those who avoid paying large amounts.

“It has been paid in full.” - Baek Sung Il
“The principle is simple, so why do people fall for it? The answer is simple too. People are simple. Every single human being wants the same thing- money, at the expense of everything else.” -Yang Jung Do
“The law is like a bully. It’s weak for the strong and strong for the weak.” -Baek Sung Il
“Don’t let what happened get to you. That is life. We have to bear it.” -Bang Pil Gyu
Will I recommend? 110% Yes!! It was so fun to watch and don’t even try to guess what’s going to happen next because the cons are smart. It just left me hanging on why Chairman Wang trusted Jung Do so much and I was fooled by the tag of Romance. I mean, there was romance but I was waiting for Jung Do and Sung Hee to reunite as a couple and they never did although there was a bit of teamwork. Although there was a lack in romance, the bromance compensated it and the chemistry of the squad is just the best!!
Seo In Guk in a drama never fails me! He always does an amazing job and I miss him. Please come back but first fully heal then serve Korea, bby.
There were no boring parts. If you think the drama couldn’t get more twisted, it can! Believe me and the plot twists actually make sense. I love it when they filmed the car chase part; it was definitely like it was filmed like a movie.
Kudos to the 38 Task Force team for the perfection and efforts they exerted! I just wish they had the ratings they deserve(which is 1st spot). Yes, I totally regret not watching this while it was on going.

I was about to write a review on the same day as it ended, but I wasn’t ready to let this drama go so I put it off. This drama is SBS’ Suspicious Partner, or its alternative title Love in Trouble. A prosecutor and his new intern are still learning to get along. Enter the murderer who will only cause more trouble for both of them.

Favorite Lines:
“We didn’t do anything wrong. They were wrong for betraying us.”- No Ji Wook
“All of us have lost someone. Some lost a family member. Some lost a friend. Some lost a lover. Whether the person was kind or evil, there is no one who didn’t lose someone, in their course of life. Therefore, life is cruel.”- No Ji Wook
Will I recommend? Yaaas. I really really liked the beginning of this drama. I was hesitant because I usually never watch on-going dramas but the first episode hooked me up. Somewhere in the middle, you could tell that they did things for it to be interesting but still it was a tiny bit boring. But they definitely got it back towards the end. I loved the last episode so much because it was so calm and perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ending!
The production team really did an amazing job and I have no plan of spoiling. I love dramas with strong female leads and equally amazing male lead! Nam Ji Hyun deserved her role and she did an amazing job as always. Basically, everyone did an amazing job and kudos to them! Watch it and fall in love with Ji Wook’s charms! I personally prefer Ji Wook as a prosecutor. Hihi.

I recently just finished watching this drama. I cried, laughed and screamed while watching. This drama is KBS’ Fight for My Way. It follow the story about young adults with third-rate specs just struggling to survive, and the blossoming romance between two immature friends Ko Dong-man and Choi Ae-ra whose childish dynamic hasn't changed despite reaching adulthood.

OST: ½
Did I watch without skipping/spoiling myself?: ★
Total: 9.5/10
Favorite Lines:
“We were always short on time. We woke up earlier than anyone and we slept later, but we never had enough time. We lived harder that anyone, but our resumes don’t show a thing. They seem to be everything of our history. It makes me mad and upset.” -Choi Ae Ra
“If growing up mean your dreams fade, I’ll give up on growing up.” -Ko Dong Man
Will I recommend? YAAAAS!! It was so fun watching Dong Man, Ae Ra, Sul Hee and Joo Man. I’m going to miss the fantastic four. I was hesitant on watching it because of the first few scenes, but fret not, it’s only there in the beginning. Also, I kept on watching because and only because of Seo Joon HAHAHA. But seriously, the plot, cinematography and cast is amazing! Oh, and Joo Man in Episode 16 was funny (the photocopy machine scene again)
I like how they all somehow achieved their dreams after working hard and earning money. My favorite scene would probably be Dong Man saying that he has never forgotten November 3, 2007 and that he kept on living like he forgot it but it never left.
Fight for My Way is the perfect mix of motivating you to go after your dreams no matter what, the Fantastic Four friendship and the romance between Ae Ra and Dong Man. I really enjoyed watching this and waiting for it. I’m so happy that it did so well. Everyone who has worked hard for this drama deserve this success! Kudos to the FFMW Team!
Go watch it!!
please release a special episode. i need to see ae ra and dong man get married and have babies and annoy each other. i need to see sul hee and joo man happy together. also, i need coach annoying ae ra one last time pLEASE

This is what I like to call family-gets-wrongly-blamed-then-children-seeks-revenge kind of story. This drama is SBS’ Pinocchio. According to wikipedia(hehe), It is a drama that depicts love, frustration, growth and the competitive process of young people in their 20s becoming reporters as they cry and get hurt by truth but realize that as reporters, they must tell the truth. It will center the story of a man who hides a special talent living under a fake name and a woman who cannot lie due to ‘Pinocchio Syndrome’.
MY RATINGS:

Cinematography: ★ ¼

Favorite Line: "But in the end, I realized that you have to face it head on. No matter how painful it may be...in the end, you still have to face it. What other choice do you have? When you're faced with truth." -Choi In Ha
Will I recommend? Yes! It somewhat helped me understand what reporters do and their sacrifices just to have a news reported. Sometimes, they are forced to conceal the truth but at the end of the day, the truth will always find it’s way out no matter how sealed it was.
I hated Choi Dal Po’s hair in the beginning okay. I even researched at what episode he will cut his hair. I enjoyed watching this drama. So, go watch it! I cried when Beom Jo sent his mom to prison, okay. The way he was hesitating whether to stick to the truth or to protect his mom, it broke my heart. I also cried when Dal Po said that In Ha can’t be a reporter because although people who have the Pinocchio syndrome speaks about the truth(because they can’t lie), a reporter will still have to lie.
I was weirded out by the Pinocchio syndrome so that’s why I hesitated watching this and it didn’t really attract me. However, towards the end, it becomes good so watch it. Oh, Reporter Yoon and Reporter Jang was funny.
