Shock of Realization
How did this angel survive? Libitina had killed him, hadn't she? Before Lightning had time to act, an angel grabbed her and pinned her arms behind her. "Let go, angelic filth!" She yelled, trying to summon some of her element but it wasn't working. "Unhand her!" Third snapped. Gabriel chuckled, and shook his head. "Oh we cannot be having that. It would interfere with what I have planned for this... Creature. If you can call this thing one." He grinned. That was it, Alpha had had enough of this angel's ramblings. He wasn't going to stand around and let Lightning get captured. However, a cloud of wailing souls formed in front of the group and revealed Libitina.
"I thought I killed you?" Came her melodic voice. Her scythe was gripped tightly in her right hand, her eyes staring through Gabriel. "It will take more than the likes of a half breed to actually kill an Archangel." Gabriel answered. Of course, God brought this insect back. "What is it you want, Gabriel?" The child of Death, spat. She was obviously pissed off. "Simple, I want to revert this child back to her former self." The Archangel said. Lightning growled and spat near his feet. "I won't ever betray Lord Nihil or Meliora. You'll have to destroy me first." She growled. Gabriel glared at the young Ghuleh in disgust. He walked over to her and slapped her. "You'll show respect to an angel of the lord." He growled.
Alpha wanted to strike the angel holding Lightning but he didn't want his flames burning her either. "Do it Alpha." Lightning urged. The angel was stronger than her, but before Alpha had time to react, the angels left in a beam of light.
"DAMMIT!" Alpha yelled, falling to his knees and punching the ground causing it to crack. "Don't worry, we'll get her back." Omega said to his brother. He knelt down and looked at Alpha. "Before Lord Nihil finds out." Omega added. Alpha looked up and sighed. "He probably already knows." He said.
"That I do, Fire." Came the unmistakable aged voice of Nihil. The anger on his face was clear. Third was even scared. "You could've prevented this, my son." Nihil snapped as he turned to Third. His son quickly bowed. "I'm sorry, Father. Please allow me to search for her." Third spoke with determination. "No. You have failed. I will have Second conduct the search along with Alpha's sister. You are done. Go back home, and until you can learn to fight do not even think about speaking, or even looking at me again!" Nihil yelled, he took some deep breaths of his oxygen due to his anger. Third nodded and opened a portal back home.
"As for the rest of you. Assist Second and Miss Grimm. You better not fail or disobey me." Nihil warned. The Ghouls bowed and headed back to Meliora. "This has crossed the line." Nihil growled, as his two child assistants helped him back to his car.
In the Silver City, Lighting was hanged by her arms to a blessed wall. It burned into her flesh, but she didn't want to give these twisted pigeons the satisfaction of hearing her scream. "You will talk eventually. I have cracked many hell spawn." Gabriel said. "Well, looks like I'll be your first non talker because I'm not saying shit to angelic scum like you." Lightning growled. Gabriel threw some holy water on her, causing her skin to burn an blister. Again she only winced in pain, no sound came from her.
"You what?!" Said a feminine voice to a defeated group of Ghouls. Libitina was more angry at Alpha than she was a Third. A sickening thud was heard as her fist collided with Alpha's face. "She's a child! A child, Alpha! She told you to attack and you hesitated causing those morons to escape. I can't even look at you right now! Just go!" Libitina yelled, fighting back her emotions. Alpha left, wanting to beat himself up for not doing as Lightning asked. It was his fault, not Third's. He left the cathedral and went to the nearest bar. "I'm so sorry, Sparky. I didn't want to hurt you." He whispered to himself.
Second wasn't super happy about being torn away from his women, but disobeying a direct order from Nihil was not the best idea in the world. He entered the crypt of Meliora the place were Libitina was based. "Could you pick a more creepy place, Libby?" Second asked as he entered the main chamber. It was in typical Gothic architecture, but had candle lit, crystal chandeliers for light. "Don't call me that, you know only Alpha and Third are allowed." The child of Death scowled. Second shrugged, taking in what she was wearing. A black mermaid dress, similar to the one Morticia Addams wore. Her hair was down, and she tucked it behind her ear as she shuffled through old books and scrolls. "Can you go through those books? We're looking for any back entrance into heaven." Libitina said. Second grumbled something only to have something thrown at him. "Look I'm not gonna take any crap off you, I don't care of your Nihil's son, I will rip you a new one." Libitina stated. "Oh, now you're speaking my language." Second purred. 'What a pervert.' she thought.
Gabriel was getting pissed off. Lightning was telling him anything. He turned to his subordinate to tell him to bathe her in blessed silver. Unfortunately, the angel spontaneously combusted, to reveal an angry Alpha and Earth. Lightning rose her head with what little strength she had. "Alpha. Earth." Lightning coughed. "How did you get in?" Gabriel snapped. "Perks to having a half angel sister." Alpha chuckled.
Several hours earlier
"I've found something." Second said. Libitina walked over to him. Azrael's Gate. "Of course. Archangels have their own entrances. Azrael's is the most secluded of them all. Great find. I'll let Nihil know." She smiled, secretly sending a text to Alpha.
Alpha's phone went off and he took it out of his pocket:
Azrael's Gate. It's located in Flander's Fields. You'll sense it where there are no poppies growing. Libitina
Perfect. Alpha send a message to Earth telling him to meet him at the location. Sweet revenge. Who knew what state Lightning was in. It was his job to protect the Ghouls. He may dislike Lightning but he didn't want any harm to come to her.
Present
"You passed through an Archangel's gate? You demonic filth!" Gabriel hissed. An angel came running in, frightened and concerned. "Gabriel. The Satanic Sentinels have invaded Heaven. It's a massacre, they've captured Michael and ripped off his wings!" The angel said. Alpha smirked while Earth laughed. "Well well... Looks like Lucifer has let his army loose." Earth said as he freed Lightning. "You come here, that half breed defiles this holy ground... My brother will not win." Gabriel said as he fled.
Earth took Lightning back. She began to heal, and Imperator rushed out of the cathedral. "By Lucifer! You look terrible, Ghuleh." She said. "Well I didn't say shit to those pigeons. They can torture me all they want, but I'll never betray Lucifer or Nihil. Ever. I did get some juicy information though when they thought I passed out." Lightning grinned.
Imperator shooed them indoors, and Earth took Lightning straight to Third. Third was relieved to see her. "Hey." Lightning smiled. "By the way I hope Lord Nihil knows it was Alpha's stalling that caused all this." Lightning said. "He does. Water explained. However why did he pull off these stupid heroics? He knows he'll get reprimanded." Third sighed. "He's the Alpha. Doing his job." Lightning answered before passing out.
Nihil entered Third's room only to see his son place the injured Ghuleh on his bed. "Let her get some rest. She's got intel." Earth said. Nihil sat at the bedside with a relieved look on his elderly features. Let's just see what tomorrow would bring.

Spark of History
Third looked over to Lightning. "Ghuleh? Is everything alright?" He asked. She didn't answer, just kept staring out of the window, her tail flicking back and forth. "Sparky. Lord Third is talking to you." Alpha said. Again, she ignored them. Alpha was about to grab her when Third and Water placed their hands on him and shook their heads. "I think what my father has said has gotten her overloaded with thoughts." Lord Third sighed.
The TV was switched on, and it was flicked to Kerrang. On the screen there was a new group calling themselves Left Hand of God. Lightning's head turned to the TV and her eyes widened. She couldn't forget that face anywhere. It was Gabriel. "No." She whispered. The storm outside got worse, and the strikes got so bad that the bus had to stop again. Lightning got off the bus, hyperventilating. A bolt struck down in front of her, but this was different. It had images in it. Lord Nihil was fighting against Gabriel and lost, the grand city of Meliora was in ruin, and the Ghouls were facing servitude to Gabriel. A scream ripped through her throat, and Alpha rushed off the bus. He wrapped his arms around her in a protective manner. "I wanna go home. I have to keep Nihil safe." Lightning cried. The rest of the band came off the bus. "What is it young one?" Third asked. She didn't know what to say. "I saw a terrifying image in a bolt of lightning." She said. Third sighed and opened a portal back to Meliora. "Go." He said. Lightning thanked him and left.
Left Hand of God were climbing the ranks of Christian Metal. More people were turning either Catholic or Protestant but not nearly enough. Lucifer's will was stronger than Gabriel accounted for. The lies Gabriel was spreading were only working on those who already sided with God. They had to work harder. Perhaps holding that teenage brat hostage would get Nihil to bow down. The thought was tempting indeed.
Back at the Cathedral, Second was busy with company of the female persuasion, and First was holed up in his study. The main doors of the Cathedral opened, and rushed footsteps echoed through the halls. A scandalously clad woman poked her head through the drawing room door and spotted the Ghoul. "Oh. Lord Second, you didn't mention the new Ghoul was a girl. She's young." The woman said. Second stood up and rushed out of the room.
"Lightning!" He called. The Ghuleh skidded to a halt. "I'm sorry Lord Second but I can't talk." Lightning said. Second could see the urgency in her face. "What happened, child?" Came a wheezy voice. Nihil and Sister Imperator came out from the first floor library. "I-I saw something within my element." She said. Nihil sighed, and took a gasp of his oxygen. "Noctis Lucis afferre volumus." Nihil said. Lighting looked at him in confusion. "Premonition of Lightning. It's a gift bestowed upon female Lightning Ghouls." Nihil informed. "I need to learn more." Lightning said. "I think it's time, Papa." Imperator said.
Following Nihil and Imperator down a part of the Cathedral she didn't know existed, she saw old tapestries and paintings of Nihil's father and ancestors. "Excuse me, but where are we going?" Lightning asked. "The Chamber of Lucifer. It's where all Ghouls, past and present keep records of their powers and duties. Don't be alarmed when you see your shelf half empty. Lightning Ghouls are rare as you well know." Sister Imperator informed. Lightning nodded and kept pace with them.
After a while they were in front of door with the symbols of each Ghoul on the door. The symbols were of their respective elements. Lightning was in the middle. Imperator told her to touch the crackling bolts. Upon doing so, the doors opened. Fire pits lit all by themselves as they entered the room. Nihil went to a shelf on the right hand side of the circular room. On the floor in the centre, lay the inverted pentagram on a black marble floor. The pentagram itself was made in pure gold.
"Ghuleh." Nihil said. Lightning walked over to him and took the metal bound book he was holding. "This is from your most recent female predecessor. She was active between 1800 until 1855. She was the last female until you." He said. The book opened at her touch, and surprisingly at the right page.
October 15th 1834
Today the visions were more clear. What I thought was a loss was actually victory for us. To the next Ghuleh who bares this gift. If your powers are just awakening, do not be afraid. Those images may be part of a bigger picture. Head to the tallest tower of the Cathedral and meditate. Let the element consume you and what you saw will come together in a clearer vision. I hope this helps you. Be strong, you have the inner heart to do this. All past Lightning Ghouls are with you.
Lightning closed the book and thanked them both before running out of the room. "Do you think she found what she needed?" Imperator asked. Nihil nodded and slipped the book back. "Let's hope it is enough." He said.
Following the advice of her predecessor, Lightning headed to the tallest tower. She sat down and cleared her mind letting the strikes of lightning consume her. The images from before came back, and the Ghuleh that came before her was right. Nihil was injured but Alpha had set the Archangel alright with the Unholy Flame. Lightning stood up and went back inside to see if Second or First could open a portal back to the band.
First just waved her off, but Second obliged and wished her well. She saw the group from a distance as they were getting off the bus in London. "Guys!" She yelled, running to them. Omega turned around and smiled. "Hey kiddo. Is everything ok now?" He asked. "Better than ok. Apparently the visions I've been having are called Premonition of Lightning. I didn't have the full picture but my predecessor helped me out. Thanks to her, I have nothing to worry about." Lightning smiled.
"Is that Sparky, I hear?" Earth's voice said, as he poked his head out the door. "Who else has that stupidly attractive British accent?" Alpha said, hitting Earth around the head. "Lightning!" Water exclaimed as she pushed past Alpha and Earth making them faceplant the concrete floor. She caught Lightning off guard with a motherly hug. "Nice to see you too Water." Lightning said.
Suddenly something felt off. Third got off the bus as another tour bus pulled up. This one was bright white and had what appeared to be angel wings on the sides. The door of this bus opened, and the Ghouls were ready. Lightning made sure the clouds darkened as she summoned her element. A blonde male got off the bus, a sickening smile on his lips. "Well, well if it isn't the Heathens." Gabriel said. Four more angels got off the bus. "Grab the teenager." He ordered.

Ride The Lightning
The interval came, and Papa and the Ghouls came backstage to see Lightning pacing up and down. "Lightning, what's wrong?" Water asked. The young Ghuleh looked at her peer. "I can't do this... I don't wanna go out there. If I don't go, I'll disappoint the fans." She said. Alpha sighed and looked at her. "This is a big deal for Nihil. Do you want to let him down?" Alpha said, his voice calm and even. Lightning shook her head, as Omega handed her, her Gibson SG.
Lightning placed the strap over her shoulders, and Water adjusted it. Papa smiled as she looked at the floor. "Well... No point in turning back now." Lightning sighed. She put her mask on, and followed the rest of them on stage, where am excited crowd cheered as they came back on.
Third looked at their fans and followers, as the rest of the Ghouls were in shades of darkness light, Lightning remained in total darkness. "Dearest members. We have a special someone here tonight. Our latest addition to our group. She's young but full of electricity. Please welcome the newest Ghuleh... Lightning!" Papa announced, and a light turned on over her. Lightning bowed as the cheers drowned out all those who were not comfortable with a child being in Ghost.
The Sisters made their rounds with the Satanic Communion. One Sister seemed to have some inappropriate attention from a male fan so Lightning sent a light shock through the perverts hand. Water chuckled and looked to Third who looked taken aback. After the ceremony they began again with Con Clavi Con Dio.
When she got into it, Lightning was joining in on the fun with the other Ghouls. She felt the element within her make the sound system louder so not only those in the venue heard the music, but others as well. Alpha was watching from the sidelines, keeping her in time when she looked at him. He felt something well up inside of him. Was it pride? He had no idea, but he knew this kid was doing a good job.
When the set ended all of them, including Alpha, took their final bow. Excitement still buzzed throughout the young Ghuleh. "Ok. That was amazing! I didn't know being on stage could be so... Exhilarating!" She said. Third smirked, looking at the teenager with a look that an older sibling would give to their freshly graduated brother or sister. "She's going to be bouncing off the walls for a while." Earth said to Alpha. "Yo kid. Calm yourself would you?" Alpha said trying to hold back his laughter.
They got back to the bus, and Lightning had seventy five missed calls from Nihil. "You better call him back." Omega said, looking over her shoulder. He noticed the wallpaper was of a young Nihil and Imperator. "I know you're devoted and all, but where did you dig up that picture of Lord Nihil?" Omega asked. Lightning just put a finger to her lips, as she called back Nihil.
"Hello my Ghuleh." Came the distinctive wheezy voice of Nihil. "I hope you're not on the toilet while I'm calling you." She said. "No... Of course not." Nihil tried to lie. Lightning just started laughing. "Father, it's not very sanitary to talk and wipe your ass at the same time." Third called out. "Shall I call back?" Lightning chuckled. "No this is important. Libitina has found out more about the Lightning Ghouls than even I did not know." Nihil said. Lighting put her phone on speaker. "The element itself can produce or aid other elements. For example, if Earth was to use his power, you could strike it and form an unholy flame which then Alpha can consume to become more powerful." Nihil said. This was fantastic! Earth grabbed Lightning and gave her a noogie. "Sounds like us three will be unstoppable." He said.
Lightning broke free and sighed. "Yes, but isn't also highly dangerous. You said so yourself that Lightning Ghouls were a last resort." Lightning pointed out. "There's a war coming. A war we must win." Nihil said, then hung up. Lightning groaned and put her phone away. What was all this about? What war? Perhaps it was as final showdown between Lucifer and God for Earth.
Falling onto a sofa in defeat, Lighting threw her mask off with a frustrated growl. "We're just as confused as you are." Alpha said. The young Ghuleh just opened one eye, and threw a pillow at him. "This maybe the beginning of something on a much larger scale." She said. Water nodded as they all sat down. The bus pulled off heading towards Paris.
Rain began to fall in torrents outside, and streaks of lightning flashed against the dark clouds. They seemed to be more intense in Lightning's presence. More angry even. She couldn't stop thinking about what Lord Nihil had said. It was hard to wrap her head around it.
The bus stopped so that the humans could have a break. Lightning pulled out her phone and posted a photo of her in front of the bus side window. The streaks of lightning were bright and she captioned it with 'Even the weather mimics my moods.' She posted it to her official Instagram. She had a couple of hundred followers, especially since one of the Sisters posted her Instagram information. Not only was she confused with the scarce information Nihil had provided, but she was worried to.
Water was scrolling through her own feed, and came across Lightning's post. This made her smile but she looked over and out of the window as the thunderbolts got worse. One strike every twenty seconds. What could've gotten to Lightning so bad that she was losing control so easily? Lightning seemed to notice and calmed herself a bit. Alpha didn't ask any questions, he began to trust the newbie more so just kept his mouth shut. After about an hour the bus drove away from the services and back onto the open road.
Back in the Silver City, Gabriel and his men were planning their strike. If they couldn't stop Lucifer's chosen by fighting them in battle, they would have to fight fire with fire and use music. They wouldn't lose another fight. Not again, and not to scum from hell.

An Electrifying Tour
"Sparky! Come on, we haven't got all day." Came the voice of an agitated Alpha. Water chuckled, and placed a hand on Alpha's shoulder. "Now, now be patient. This is her first tour. I didn't think Lord Nihil would announce her so soon." Water smiled. Earth came down the stairs with two massive cases on either shoulder. "You and me both, Water. Still, it'll be a learning curve." Earth said, as Omega helped the drummer get the equipment into the roadie bus.
A few minutes later, Lightning rushed downstairs, followed by Nihil. "Now. Listen to Third, and whatever you do, don't wander off from the group." Nihil smiled. Lightning rolled her eyes. She wasn't a kid, she knew how to follow rules. Well, she liked annoying Alpha but that was besides the point. "Yeah, I will..." Lightning groaned, as Third ushered her outside.
The Ghouls were heading into the tour bus, and Water was waiting for Lightning. "Where's your kit?" Water asked, before following where Lightning was pointing. A roadie was putting two cases into their bus but he throw the one in his left hand. "Hey! Be careful with that, you stupid human. That was my predecessor's guitar. She sent a jolt through his body as a warning. "S-Sorry Miss Lightning." The male said, looking scared. Third calmly lead Lightning into their bus before she could cause lasting damage.
Inside, Earth and Alpha had their laptops open to do a live video to the fans, and announcing they had a special surprise in store for them. Lightning was talking to Third, and going over chapters of War of The Worlds. Air was sitting quietly as usual, whilst Water and Omega were in deep conversation. The bus pulled off, and their first stop was Lyon in France.
The drive was long, and Lightning had fallen asleep two hours into the journey. Third had gently put her head on his lap, and Alpha and Earth were playfully teasing him. "You really have a gift with children, Lord Third." Water smiled, as she looked at the sleeping Ghuleh. "Thank you, my Water Ghuleh. Besides being nervous, no doubt she's scared too." Third whispered. "Sparky? Nah. Didn't you see her when she saved my ass?" Alpha smirked. "You've gotten soft, Alpha." Earth teased, before being punched on the arm. "I just hate seeing kids hurt, that's all." Alpha snorted, a light blush covering his cheeks. Omega gave his brother a knowing look, before Alpha growled at him. "Fine... The brat's growing on me, alright?" Alpha snarled in defeat. The other Ghouls took the opportunity to laugh at poor Alpha. He just put his mask on to hide his shame.
It took them a full day to get to France. When Lighting had woken up, the Ghouls were all smirking at her. It was then she realised Third had had her resting on him. She turned bright red, and went to sit by Alpha. "They've been teasing me too." Alpha whispered to her. Lightning nodded, and stole Earth's laptop to play an online horse game. Good job the bus had WiFi.
The bus pulled up to the venue, and people were already queuing for the meet and greet. The roadies began setting up while Third and the Ghouls stepped out of the bus. Lightning felt so small, beside these fully grown Ghouls. "Hey, why don't you announce our arrival?" Omega suggested. Being able to manipulate the element of lightning, meant she could bend the bolts into any shape she desired. She looked up to the sky and held out her hands, streaks of electricity shot across the darkened clouds, forming the Ghost insignia. The people queuing looked up, and cheered. Third smiled at her, and stepped forward.
He wasn't in his robes, but his suit that hugged his body in all the right places. The Ghouls followed him into the venue where the meet and greet took place before they had to ready themselves to go on stage.
Lightning was sitting next to Earth, who had told her they use seals instead of signing. Emeritus bwas the only one who was allowed to sign his name. Her seal looked brand new, barely used. Then again, having a Lightning Ghoul was a last resort, in terms of having Ghouls. The crowd was let in, and some whispered upon seeing the teenage Ghuleh. "Wow. A new Ghoul? Awesome!" A male called out. The chatter began, and it made Lightning feel a bit uneasy.
The meet and greet began. As a female approached Lightning, the Ghuleh instantly got snobbish vibes from her. "Humph, pure luck that you got to be a Ghoul. I would've made a better one." She said in a snarky manner. "Well I hope you like your brain well done, madam. Speak to me like that again, and I will gladly deal with any punishment I may receive." Lightning said, as of it didn't effect her. Lightning just stamped the girl's poster, while attending to more enthusiastic fans.
Lightning leaned into Earth to whisper to him. "Think that snob is only here to ogle Lord Third." She giggled. Earth snorted to hold back his laugh, but under his mask he was definitely smiling. A couple approached the table, with smiles on their faces. "This really is a nice surprise. A new Ghuleh. I watched Earth's livestream, and I couldn't wait to meet you." The man said. His girlfriend nodded. "Can we have a picture with you?" The girl smiled. Lightning looked at Third for approval, and the Ghouls stood up to take a photo with the couple. Lightning had her arms around the shoulders of the couple in a friendly manner, the other Ghouls were gathered around them whilst Third stood behind Lightning and the couple.
After a good two and a half hours, the meet and greet was over. All but a handful were excited to meet Lightning, but she just shrugged those pretenders off. They headed for the dressing room, to get ready for their set.
Lightning didn't take long and went to check her guitars. Alpha was there too. "So that's the inherited guitar." He said. "Yeah. Gibson SG in Goddess purple. The lightning bolt was an addition made by my recent predecessor." She said, pointing to the fret board. Alpha looked at it, and sure enough there were lightning bolts on each of the empty spaces of the board. However, Lightning knew she wouldn't play tonight. She was only in reserve after all. "They won't get played though. I'm not like you or your brother." She sighed. "Yeah, you're not. You're you. Besides we've come up with a plan. I'll be playing the first half and then you'll take over." Alpha said. "I couldn't." Lightning protested. "That's the way it's gonna be kid. You saved my ass. Think of it as a thanks." Alpha smirked.
With that, the band got ready to go out and face the huge crowd. Lightning didn't know whether she'd be ready to go out after the interval.

Eye Of The Storm
It had been nearly a week and Lightning still hadn't woken up. Water refused to practice, keeping a bedside vigil in Lightning's room. "Come on, wake up." Water begged. The door opened and in walked Nihil. Water stood up and bowed deeply. "My Lord. Still no improvement." Water said, sadly.
Nihil walked over to Lightning's bed, and looked at his Ghuleh. He placed an aged hand on Lightning's forehead. He sat down and sighed. "I've seen this once before. We still have the blade, and Libitina is translating the runes on the weapon." Nihil spoke, before grabbing his mask, and taking in a huge gasp of oxygen. "When will she be done?" Water asked. Nihil looked up at her, through snowy eyes. "It depends, she said the runes were quite ancient." He explained.
Meanwhile, Libitina was with Alpha in the library. "We need to figure this out. Fast." Libitina said. "Don't you think I know that?" Alpha snapped. "Wow, I thought you hated her?" Libitina sighed, snapping her book shut. Alpha folded his arms. "She maybe a pain but she's just a kid. No one deserves to be in the state she's in, let alone at her age." He stated. "Always knew you were a big softie." His sister teased. Alpha and Libitina weren't blood related but spiritually related. A yelp of excitement ripped through the vocal chords of Lucifer's niece. "I got it!" She smiled. Alpha looked over her shoulder. "Great. Let's take it to Lord Nihil." He said, patting her shoulder.
Third and Second were on their way to see Lightning when the came across Alpha and Libitina. "Any breakthroughs?" Second asked. Alpha and Libitina shared a knowing smile. "We have something. Let's head in and tell Lord Nihil." Libitina said. Second and Third nodded, and followed Libitina inside. Second, being Second, discreetly copped a feel as he walked in behind her.
Nihil noticed the newcomers. "Ah. I take it you were successful." He breathed. Libitina approached him with her findings. "It took me a while to translate, but we did it. Rest ye those demons who fall afoul of God's Sword of Grace." She spoke. Nihil looked at her in confusion. "The Sword of Grace is a weapon crafted by God himself to slay creatures from Hell. The only known cure... Lightning must consume the blood of the angel that wielded that sword. In this case," she looked at the Ghuleh and sighed, "Gabriel." She finished.
A silence fell upon the room. How were they going to get Gabriel's blood? It was going to be time consuming task. "However we only have one month to find Gabriel and extract his blood. Otherwise, Lightning will never wake again." Libitina informed. Earth grabbed Libitina by her leather coat and pushed her up against the wall in a fit of anger. "So you're telling me we only have three weeks left?" He snarled. Alpha pulled Earth off his sister. "That's enough, Earth. We have a plan. Heaven has always wished to see Libitina return to their folds, but being related to Lucifer she has a few tricks up her sleeve." He spoke. Libitina nodded. "Lucifer and Caine already know of the plan. I will go to Heaven, convince Gabriel I no longer serve the Darkness. To make me one of their kind again he must give me his blood. Two of my inside contacts work directly for Gabriel, so they'll be waiting." Libitina said. Earth seemed to calm down a bit. Alpha conjured up a transmitter flame, and handed one to Libitina in a red, small crystal flask. She left without another word. "I pray to Lucifer that this will work." Nihil said.
The gates of Heaven were located in Rome, more specifically the Vatican. Only few supernatural beings knew of their location, Libitina being one of them as she had the blood of an Archangel in her veins. She changed her appearance to look more human than fallen angel. The huge courtyard in front of the Vatican was the entrance to Heaven. Muttering a chant in Latin, she disappeared in a white cloud of smoke. It wasn't long until she was in her mother's domain.
Gabriel was waiting, her two contacts standing either side of him. His dirty blonde hair shimmered in the light. "Welcome home, Libitina. This way." Gabriel greeted. She bowed to him, even though it made her sick to her stomach to do so, but she had to do this or Lightning's fate would be sealed.
They entered a private room, were Gabriel used an Angel Blade to slice open his wrist. He poured his blood into phial and handed it to her. "Drink it during the next sunrise." He advised. "Oh, it's not me who'll be drinking it." She smirked. Gabriel gave her a cold look, before the two other angels began tearing off his wings, with power granted by the Morningstar himself.
Gabriel dough back and killed the two angels, and tried to get to Libitina. He was met with the sharp end of her scythe. A weapon that had the power to reap the souls of all creatures. She had pierced his stomach, and ripped the blade upwards. Blood splattered everywhere, intestines, brain matter, stomach contents were everywhere in this horror movie like bloodbath. Gabriel was dead, due to his own naivety and hope. "That was something I didn't want to see. Now we'll have Heaven after us." Came Alpha's voice from the encased flame. "Without God or Gabriel to lead them, the angels are weak. Don't forget, it was Lucifer whom taught me to slay Archangels. I just wanted a bit of fun and exact revenge for Lightning." Libitina spoke.
She re-entered the courtyard of the Vatican in her human form. What messy work that was, at least it was satisfying. She quickly reverted back to her Sentinel form, her black wings evident of her status. The Catholic Cardinals saw her and cowered, as she slammed the bottom of her scythe into the ground. The inverted pentagram was burnt into the ground, a message to the Catholic Pope that heaven would now be in disarray, and questioning sides. Lucifer had won, Heaven was crumbling and more people turned to Ghost's music and teachings to guide them on the right path.
Libitina returned to Meliora with a slight spring in her step. Imperator was waiting for her. "Excellent work, Lady Libitina. Heaven is falling, and we have been gaining more and more influence." The old woman smiled. Libitina wasn't interested in this woman's ramblings, and headed straight for Lightning's room.
"This needs to enter her system at dawn." Libitina informed. Nihil nodded and took the phial. "She'll get it. I'm sure your uncle would like to see you." Nihil smiled. Libitina bowed her head and left.
"Wow, that was heart stopping for a moment." Water said. "You can breathe now." Air chuckled. Night had fallen over Meliora, but everyone stayed in Lightning's room for daybreak to come.
At around five in the morning, the fun began to rise. Nihil was snoring away, so Third took the phial from him, took the stopper out, and gently poured the contents into Lightning's mouth. Her throat seemed to act on its own as she swallowed.
With baited breath, they waited. Lightning's eyes opened, and she took in a huge breath. Water began to cry, as Nihil was woken up. He saw Lightning and smiled. "It worked." Alpha said, as of he'd been the one who saved the child. "We also have a cause for celebration. Pack up your things, it's time for a celebratory tour." Nihil spoke.

Calm Before The Storm
"Sparky! Where are you going?" Alpha called. Lightning stopped, and looked at him. "Don't you sense it?" She asked. Alpha focused his power on a light that tried to penetrate the darkness of Meliora. "You're right. Inform Nihil. I'll get the rest of the Ghouls." He ordered. Lightning nodded and rushed to her Master's chambers.
She entered the room, not knowing his sons were there. "Forgive the intrusion, Master. There's..." The young Ghuleh spoke, and bowed before the sons of Nihil. "I... I wouldn't have intruded if it wasn't a matter of urgency. There's something trying get into Meliora." Lighting said. First looked at her with disbelief. "Impossible. No one has gotten in for centuries." He scoffed.
A cold wind blew in, and the creature she had met at the party stood before Nihil and his sons. "No one isn't powerful enough... Except an Archangel. Caine has informed the Sentinels that it is Gabriel leading an army to take down this beautiful kingdom. I can buy you some time to gather your forces." Libitina spoke. Nihil slumped back in his chair. "Very well, daughter of Death. Do what you must." Nihil gasped, as he reached for his mask. "Lightning, go and join my brother. He'll need your help." Libitina said, as she spread her ebony wings and flew off.
"Ghuleh. Stay here and protect our father. The battlefield is no place for a child." Second ordered. "But I can help!" Lighting protested. "No! Alpha would say the same. Now stay here, and do as you're told, Ghuleh." Second barked. Lightning hung her head, and nodded in defeat. She couldn't disobey the sons of Nihil even if she wanted to. She placed an electric forcefield around the room, as strong as she could make it anyway. "I will protect you, Sir. I promise." Lightning said. Nihil held out his hand and she took it. "Don't be frightened. I know you have the strength within you." He smiled.
Alpha gathered the other Ghouls outside. "Wait, where's Lightning?" Water asked, until she saw the three Emeritus approaching them. "The child is protecting Nihil." Second informed. "Best place for her." Omega sighed. Earth nodded and Air just shrugged. "Don't worry. The Satanic Sentinels haven't failed Lucifer. I don't think Gabriel will get in that easily." Alpha said, rather confidently.
Spoke too soon. The barrier was shattered by Gabriel's magic. "Defiling a Catholic is sin beyond words!" Came the Archangel's voice. "Do we care?" Alpha snapped back. Using his influence over fire, he sent a wall of burning embers towards the angelic forces.
The sound of battle could be heard, and Lightning watched from the window. "I should help them. They need me." Lighting spoke as she headed for the door. "Lightning... Don't fail me." Nihil spoke. She nodded and went to join the others.
Earth was in combat with Azrael, just his luck. The Archangel of Death raised his holy blade and was about to cut Earth down until his was caught off guard by a bolt of lightning. The clouds over head raged with anger, as continuous strikes of one billion volts hit unsuspecting angels. Alpha looked up and smirked. "If there's one thing you should know, Sparky doesn't take kindly to bullies." Alpha remarked at Gabriel. Libitina was fighting against a group of Azrael's apprentices. She killed them with the swipe of her scythe.
"Get the leader." Gabriel snarled, as they headed towards the sons of Nihil. Angels were deflected off a barrier Third had put in place. However angels were dropping like flies, and as one final act of desperation, Gabriel threw his sword towards Alpha.
Lighting pushed him out of the way, and was pierced instead. The sword was in her left side, black blood oozing out of the wound. It wasn't healing, due to the blessed spell out onto the blade. She fell down. "LIGHTNING!" Alpha yelled. Gabriel smirked as he flew away.
Blood pooled around Lightning. "You fool! Why did you do that?" Alpha asked, as he pulled Lighting up and withdrew the sword from her. "Can't have the leader... Dying... Can we." She whispered, her breathing was laboured. The three Papas rushed over, Third looked her over. "It's bad, I don't think I can heal her." He said, defeat clouding his voice. Water looked away, tears stinging her eyes. Air held her, and began talking to her. This was only the beginning.
Alpha carried Lightning to Nihil's room and awaited his punishment. "She saved you, you say?" Nihil questioned. "Yes, my Lord." Alpha said. Nihil walked over to his Ghuleh that was lying on his couch. "I can heal her, but it will take time." He spoke, as he ran a hand over Lightning's wound. She screamed in pain, which made Alpha wince. "You can leave. My sons, I will need you to stay here in case something goes wrong." He said.
Nihil looked at Lightning through his pale eyes and began chanting something in Latin. Third and First kept an eye on her physical state. Steam emitted from Lightning's wound, as it slowly began to knit back together. "She'll need rest for the next forty-eight hours." Nihil coughed. Air came and took Lightning back to her room.
Alpha was in his room with the other Ghouls when Air entered. "How is she?" Alpha asked, springing up from his bed. "She needs complete bed rest for the next two days." Air said. Water looked at the floor. "See? She is one of us. She risked her life for yoursz Alpha." The Water Ghuleh stated. "I know that! This isn't the end. We need to take extra precautions now that Sparky is out for the count." He said.
Omega and Water checked on Lightning every few hours, much to the dismay of the doctor. "Who knew she had it in her." Omega chuckled. Water nodded, and put some yellow roses in the bedside base for her friend. "Yeah. Who knew?" Water parroted. The question was, would Lightning wake up?

Rising To a New Life
Lightning got up early and got dressed. She yawned as she made her way to the bathroom, since hers had a plumbing issue at the moment. The door was locked. Just her luck. Grumbling, she waited outside.
Zero saw her as he began making his way downstairs. "Good morning, Ghuleh. Sleep well?" He asked taking in some of his oxygen. Lightning shrugged. "I guess. What do you need me to do today?" She asked, yawning again, and covering her mouth. Zero pondered. "Well, we need to see what will best suit you. I need you on your as soon as possible, my Lightning." He spoke. Lightning blinked in surprise. That soon? Wow, she hadn't even practiced with the band.
The door to the bathroom clicked open, and a six foot something Ghoul exited. "Morning. Ah. You must be Lightning. I'm Air." The tall Ghoul said, in a soft tone. They shook hands, and Lightning went to use the bathroom.
After leaving the bathroom, Lightning bumped into someone. She looked up and saw Third. "Forgive me, Lord Third. I did not mean to do that." Lightning said, and quickly knelt down with her hand over her left side. "Oh, all is forgiven. I was preoccupied with this book." Third smiled. Wow, he was more down to earth than his brothers. Lightning stood up and noticed it was War of The Worlds. "That is an excellent book, I'm rereading it myself. What chapter are you on?" Lightning asked, enthusiasm in her voice. "The Martians have just released their ray." Third said. "That's one of the best chapters. Reading is a great past time. Looks like we have something in common." Lightning grinned. "Looks like. Hadn't you better get to practice? Alpha can be quite irritable if you're late." Third smiled. The new Ghuleh nodded and rushed off down the hall. "Hmm. Father seemed to have chosen well." Third said to himself.
As she rushed through the maze of corridors she spotted Omega wolfing down an uncooked steak. "Morning Lightning. Picked up some food for you, so you can eat it on the way to practice." Omega said, between mouthfuls. "Uncooked? You sure?" She asked, taking the raw red meat from him. "Try it. You're a Ghoul now, you can eat raw meat." Omega encouraged. Lightning sighed and used her sharp, demonic teeth to tear into the meat. It was surprisingly delicious uncooked. "That's good. Where's practice anyway?" She asked. Omega told her to follow him, and they got talking whilst heading to practice.
"I was practicing with my powers last night when I went to bed. Some of the symbols I drew kinda... Well.." she got a bit red. "Blew up the plumbing and electricity?" Came a familiar, dominating voice. Omega and Lightning turned around and saw Alpha. "Yeah... About that..." She said nervously, before Alpha grabbed her by the throat, his hand squeezing the air from her. "I told you, keep your powers in check, you useless-" he spat, before somebody cleared their throat.
Alpha turned around and saw Zero. His eyes widened, and he dropped Lightning. "Just what are you doing to my Ghuleh?" He wheezed. Alpha growled and knew he had to speak or run the risk of punishment. "She needs to keep her powers in check." He said. Zero held up his hand, and Alpha stopped before he had the chance to say any more. "She's only recently been turned, Fire. I recall you were just as bad with your powers when you were turned, as was your brother. Unlike you, Omega understands this situation." Zero snapped, before taking in huge gasps of oxygen. "My Lord, it's fine. Alpha is right, I need to learn to control my power. It's not as... Stable as the other elements." Lightning spoke, trying to defend Alpha. The Alpha Ghoul looked shocked that Lightning was defending him, but quickly removed that look from his face. "I don't need you to defend me, Sparky." Alpha snarled. "Well sorry, Flame Brain." Lightning said, sarcastically. She folded her arms, and looked back at her master. "I'm sorry I caused the electrical shortage, my Lord. I'll try and rectify it." She vowed. Alpha rolled his eyes. "Well practice is postponed until you do, Sparky. Get to it." Alpha ordered. Lightning looked at Zero for permission and he nodded.
It took her a while to find the basement, but she found it. She could see well in the dark thanks to her Ghoulish sight. She found the box and charged some electricity in the palm of her hand and sent the charge through the box. The electricity came back on. "Well that's sorted." She sighed, and walked out of the basement.
Retracing her steps, Lightning made it to the practice room. "So. You decided to show up." Alpha snorted. He threw her a book. "Keep up. Not that you'll be able to. Lead and rhythm lines. Got it, Sparky?" Alpha asked. Lightning looked at him with an uncaring glare. "Whatever, Flame Brain. Just shut up and start before I fall asleep due to boredom." Lightning snapped back. Earth let out a low whistle. There was clearly tension between these two.
"What did you say?" Alpha growled, locking his horns with Lightning's. "The Flam Brain part or the falling asleep part?" Lightning asked, a snarky smile on her lips. Alpha was having none of her remarks. The other Ghouls watched on, Water and Omega as well as Air were worried for the younger Ghuleh.
After about an hour, Lightning submitted. "You put up a good fight. For a newbie." Alpha smirked, picking Lightning up. "No one's ever stood up to me before. Let's hear you play, Sparky." He said, throwing her a guitar. Her arm had been broken in the fight, but Air reassured her it would be healed right away. She sighed and picked up a plectrum that bore her symbol and began playing the intro to a firm favourite of hers. Square Hammer. Earth followed after the first note, Alpha correcting her every so often. "Just bare in mind, you're only back up if either myself or Omega can't play." Alpha sighed. Lightning nodded.
She suddenly stopped after playing a wrong note. "We were almost there, Lightning." Omega said. Lightning stood up, shoving the guitar into its stand and rushing out of the room. "Did I pass gas or something?" Earth asked. Alpha rolled his eyes, and followed after Lightning. Sure she was a pain but he was the leader of the Ghouls and had to make sure all of them were okay.

Memories Lost, Lessons Learnt
The next morning was an early start. Water, and another Ghoul called Omega came to wake Lightning up, but she was already awake. Huddled into the darkest corner of her room, hugging her knees and her face hidden. "Kid?" Omega asked, walking over to her and crouching down. He cautiously placed a gloved hand on her right shoulder.
Lightning stood up in fear, but faster than she thought possible. Her breathing was rapid, as Omega stood up with his arms raised. "I'm not here to hurt you. However, if I was my brother it would be a different story." He spoke. "Brother?" Lightning breathed. Water approached them and smiled. "Alpha. The big bad boss man of the Ghouls." She chuckled. Lightning shuddered at the sound of his name. "Yeah, he gives off neagtive vibes, but you're one of us now. We don't know what you can play." Omega said. They walked out of Lightning's room and she sighed.
"I learnt guitar and bass, even though mother was against it. Sure, I followed Catholicism but metal music always spoke to me." She said. "And no one cares, newbie." Came a yawning voice. "Oh, shut up Earth. She's scared shitless, her new powers are going haywire and you and Alpha picking on her isn't helping the situation." Water barked. Earth quickly shut up, eying Lightning. She looked away, clutching onto Omega. "Don't worry, once you get to know Earth he's alright." Omega smiled. Earth ruffled Lightning's now dark hair. "I went through a similar transition. Powers out of whack, pain in the ass Alpha. Listen newbie, just follow orders and do as you're told, and you'll fit in." With those, sort of comforting words, Earth left for breakfast.
Omega and Water lead Lightning to Zero's chambers. "This might be painful. The Memory Extraction makes you a different person. Traits of your gifted element will flow into you. Don't fight it, it will be over before you know it." Water soothed. Lightning nodded and prepared herself. Water knocked on the door and a wheezy enter, sounded from behind the door.
Omega opened the doors and stepped inside followed by Lightning and Water. "Ah. Lightning. Come here." Said Zero. He was sitting at a mahogany desk in front of a stained glass window, depicting Lucifer making Zero his chosen one. There was an elderly woman at his side, and Lighting knelt before them in respect. "You required my presence this morning, my Lord?" Lightning spoke. The woman smiled at the new member. "You may rise and take a seat." She said, her voice aged and croaky. Lightning thanked her and did as she was told. Omega and Water were sent away.
"Your Memory Extraction will take place in an hour. You are to wear a white gown and report to the main ceremony room. If you wish you can change here and Sister Imperator will answer your questions. I need to ready myself, as well. As I turned you, I will performing the ceremony." Wheezed Zero. He looked at her through his white eye. The smell of her fear was delightful, but it wouldn't be for long. It had been nearly two centuries since they needed a Ghoul baring the element of lightning.
Zero stood up and went to his ajoined bedroom. Imperator smiled, and had a loving look in her eyes as she watched Zero leave. "Ma'am?" Lightning spoke up. "Oh. Yes, you. Well then get dressed. Don't dawdle, child. I will answer your questions, since our beloved Papa asked me to." She sighed.
Imperator shoved Lightning behind a screen. She handed the young girl the white gown that bore the insignia of Ghost on the front. Lightning stripped out of her dress that she still had on from yesterday, and used the warm water provided to wash herself. "Everything alright?" Imperator asked. "I guess. Just nervous. Water told me not to fight. I have no intention of doing so. This is my life now... I made the choice and the deal. No going back." Lightning said. Imperator almost looked sorry for the girl. Fifteen years old and already she sold her soul to save someone.
After dressing, Lightning came out from behind the screen. Her tail was flicking from side to side in a nervous manner. Imperator couldn't help the grandmotherly instinct from kicking in. "You made a wise choice, my child. Come. It's time." She said.
They left the room. The main hall leading to the main room of the Cathedral was lined with Sisters of Sin, and higher ups of the Pinnacle. Zero was in her pope robes, standing at the altar. Next to him was a large pit, filled with human blood. Lightning swallowed. The other Ghouls, including a very tall one she hadn't met yet, were standing around the blood pit.
When Lightning reached the alter, the sons of Zero stood beside their father in order of succession. She knelt down and bowed her head, her body shaking and giving off sparks of electricity. "You have given up your Catholic name of Martha Elizabeth Wood, by selling your soul to me, Zero and his most Unholy Lord Lucifer. Now, recite these words." Zero instructed.
He passed her a scroll and she unrolled it. "I, Martha Elizabeth Wood, renounce my faith and accept the one true God, Lucifer as my lord and saviour. I bathe myself in blood to wash away my former self and give up my memories to Papa Emeritus Zero, and be reborn as the Ghuleh of Lightning." She spoke, with a confidence she though she didn't have.
Third looked excited, First and Second remained emotionless, and watched Lightning stand up and walk over to the pool. Water, Omega and the tall Ghoul looked at her with encouragement. Alpha couldn't care less and Earth was Switzerland.
Ascending the steps, Lightning placed a bare foot into the fresh, crimson liquid. "Submerge." Zero ordered. Doing as she was told, she went under.
Pain shot through her, as it felt like her brain was being torn apart as the memories of her past life left her like the never existed. Zero has a metal bound book open that caught her memories. On the front it bore the symbol for Lightning. Bolts of the element shot through from the windows, shattering them to tiny shards. After about thirty minutes, Lightning emerged, sparking with electricity. However, it wasn't of fear this time, but with a new found confidence and sense of self worth.
"I have been reborn as the Ghuleh of Lightning. I serve Lucifer and his Prophet." She spoke. Alpha looked at her. It was like this child had done a complete one eighty. Zero smirked, as if he had just awakened the Beast. Lightning was then stripped off her gown, to have it replaced by a black one. She walked back to Zero, as the tall Ghoul who was named Air began playing a dark and ambient tune on the pipe organ.
Lighting knelt before Zero and his sons again, and he proceeded to put the Ghost insignia necklace around her, and give her her mask. "Rise, Lightning Ghuleh. May you serve us well." Zero coughed.
There were celebrations afterwards, and Lightning had gone off to change into her new uniform. She fixed her mask over her face and headed outside to the gardens.
There were some faces she didn't recognise. Well, more like a lot of faces she didn't recognise. A black winged creature came up to her. On closer inspection the wings were feathers like an angel's. "I didn't realise they let angelic filth into unholy ground." Lightning snapped. Alpha was with this winged creature. "Watch it kid. This is my sister. You'll treat her with respect." He hissed. Lightning rolled her eyes. "It's quite alright, Alpha." The creature said. "My name is Libitina Grimm. I'm Death's daughter and niece of Lucifer." The female said. Lightning shook her hand. "Well forgive my rudeness, Lady Libitina." Lightning bowed. Libitina smiled, and laughed. "Hey, you can relax around me. If Alpha gives you any trouble, just call. I'll kick his ass." Libitina laughed. "Oh, like that will ever happen." Alpha mocked, before getting a slap.
Lightning left them to it and grabbed some wine off a tray as a waiter walked by. "Well. This certainly is a treat." Said a gravelly voice. Lightning turned around and saw Earth. "Meaning?" Lighting scoffed. Earth chuckled, and poked her newly grown horns, and locked his own with hers. "Let's see who's stronger." He purred. "This isn't a way to woman's heart, Earth." Lightning said, and left to find Zero. "Take it I won then?" He shouted after her, only recieving the bird as a reply.
Zero was sitting down, his sons and Imperator around him. "Ah. If it isn't my wonderful Lightning Ghuleh. How do you feel?" He asked, offering his hand to her. Lightning took it, to Imperator's dismay and sat down at Zero's feet. "Strange. It feels like I've woken up from a dreamless sleep. I was walking blind as a human, huh." She said. "You've been reborn as a trusted Ghuleh. One of my better achievements. I trust you will come to me should any problems arise." Zero spoke, before taking in another gasp of oxygen from his mask. "Of course, my Lord. I have you to thank. I will be forever in your debt." Lightning smiled. Zero was pleased to hear this, turning a child seemed to have paid off.
The party was celebrated long into the night, but after a long talk with Zero, Lightning called it a night. Tomorrow would be her first day of training.

A Soul For a Life
"Well, child?" Wheezed the elderly man in front of a Victorian clad dressed female. Her crystal blue eyes looked at the dying man in her view. He had been run over by a carriage. Blood was pooling around him, tears flowing freely from her eyes. "Don't do it, Martha. He's tricking you, it's what these Godless monsters do." Coughed the dying male. The young woman, Martha, snapped back into reality. Her hands were tied, did she accept this man's offer? Or, would she watch her only brother die? "I.. I don't know!" She screamed, shutting her eyes and shaking her head fiercely.
Martha had always followed the Roman Catholic church, but this elderly man before her said he could save her brother, but at a price. Her soul, and eternal servitude in his church as a Ghuleh. "Time's really not on your side, my dear." The old man coughed. Her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest. "Ok, you have a deal!" Martha said. The man smirked, and proceeded to place his hand into her heart, extracting her soul. She fell to the ground, unconscious. Her brother was healed and looked as though nothing had happened. He rushed to his sister's side.
"What have you done to her?" He demanded. There was a scowl on his face, but he looked back at his sister seeing her skin turn an ash grey, a tail growing from the bottom of her back. She changed. "No... She's... She's a demon!" Her brother wept. "She did it to save you... Be grateful I didn't finish you off." The old man scoffed. Martha's brother got to his feet and ran away. Two females in nuns attire bowed to the old man. "Papa Zero... Is this the new Ghuleh?" One of them asked. Zero looked at them and nodded. The nuns picked her up and slid her into a matt black carriage.
Martha woke up about half an hour later. She looked at her hands. Her skin had changed, she had a tail and the top of her head was hurting. She touched her head and felt something budding. "Where am I?" She asked the nuns. They looked at her. "You're in an official carriage of Emeritus Zero. You sold your soul, remember?" The nun opposite to her said. "Yeah... I was at a Victorian convention. The shire horses pulling out carriage got spooked. Thomas tried calming them, but they reared and jolted forward... Running him over and..." She couldn't finish, tears ran down her grey cheeks. The nuns looked at each other and one pulled her into a hug. This nun wasn't much of a talker. An unexpected lightning storm began as soon as Martha broke down. The flashes were mimicking her pain, her sorrow. She had to leave everything and everyone she loved behind.
The trip had been several hours long, until the pulled up in front of a large, Gothic style cathedral. The nuns stepped out, and the less talkative nun helped Martha out. "Welcome to your new home... Lightning Ghuleh." The talkative nun said. Home? This is where she would be staying her whole, immortal life? "Lightning? Is that my-" she was cut off by a loud voice. "Your new name, yes." Lighting turned around and saw a young man, clad in purple. There were two others. One in red and the other in green. She gulped, and bowed her head.
"The little firefly already knows who's in charge." The man in purple said. Lightning was shaking, not only was she scared, but she had turned her back on God, and taken a route she thought she would never take. Lucifer's route. "You may talk, little firefly." The gentle voice of the young man said. "I don't mean to be so rude, but who are you?" She asked.
A familiar face came out of the doors. He had an oxygen mask on, and his hair was thin and white. "You're speaking to my sons. Emeritus One." Zero placed a shaky hand on the man dressed in red. "Emeritus Two." Zero's hand moved to the man in green. "And finally, Emeritus Three." Zero coughed, as he touched the young man. Second walked down the steps, and harshly grabbed Lightning's chin, forcing her to look at him. "You're young. Younger than the other Ghouls." He said, he looked at the sky as it once again mimicked her emotions.
A bolt of lightning struck dangerously close to the approaching Ghouls, as a warning to stay back. One of them snorted. "You need to keep your powers in check, kid." Came a demanding voice. "I.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." She squeaked. Second let her go, and turned to the Ghouls. "Now, now Alpha... She's only just been turned, so some... Compassion is it?" Second chuckled. "She's only a child! Lord Zero, what made you decide to turn a child?" Came a female's voice. The female Ghoul walked over to a frightened Lightning, and tried to calm her.
Zero looked at the other Ghuleh. "Water, she's not only pure but turning Roman Catholics is a specialty of mine. Enough talk," Zero inhaled a large lungful of oxygen, "inside all of you." He ordered.
Water placed her arm around Lightning, and lead her inside. "Where are we anyway?" Lightning asked Water. Water looked at her with kind eyes. "Meliora. This is the capital of our great leader, Lucifer." She explained. The one called Alpha looked at Lightning. "Right kid, there's a pecking order around here, you are at the bottom of it. Just because you were turned by Lord Zero, doesn't mean your special or anything, got it?" He growled. Lightning instantly submitted to Alpha, but there was something about him that reminded her of her brother. These memories wouldn't last. She would soon have them erased, and her new life as a Ghuleh of Meliora would begin. Lightning nodded. She should cherish these memories while she still had the chance.

New Ghost Signature
Hello Lost Ghouls and Ghulehs! Due to Third being replaced by Fourth, I am making a signature for everyone to use on forums. The theme is transition. So there will be Third but half of him in smoke to represent the coming of the new Papa. Keep in mind that it maybe a bit dark and Gothic as that is my art style. Please don't complain because of this. Ideas and such are welcomed, just reply to this blog with your ideas. The best will be incorporated into the graphic, and you will get a shout out!
Lots of love!
