“Assault Girl: Hunting Season” tee by Slinger

If you’re looking for a cheap last minute gift for the heady art enthusiast in your life, here’s some fresh tees that just dropped that will do the trick. Philly based artist Zach Puchowitz created this “Jawn” tee, repping his hometown. Jawn has also quickly become the word of the minute in the glass industry, with it’s definition written underneath: “a word used by Philly locals that means anything”.

Slinger made his “Hunting Season Assault Girl” tee in a highly limited edition of 50 shirts total. Better hurry if you want to swoop one, they were just launched yesterday and only a few medium and large sizes are left as of this post.

If these suggestions don’t do it for you, check out your favourite artist on Instagram. Most have links to their shops selling clothing, slaps, and various march. Also, Grassroots California is an awesome company making apparel for many different glass artists and are currently offering free shipping on all orders for the holidays.

It’s not every day that an Elbo classic becomes available to scoop. Word has it that this “Fat Superman” collab with Hoobs was made while he was still working out of his Mom’s basement. Either way, it’s definitely old school, and Derrl Baker just posted in Elbo’s Jurassic Dino Park that he is currently hearing offers on him. I’d imagine this offer will not be available for long considering it’s relevance in glass art history, and the fact that it’s so very different from his current body of work. Check out the below photo for size reference, this piece is massive compared to the sizes of rigs made today.

Elbo and Hoobs also made a “Fat Captain America” which has been in the possession of Puffing Glass Studios for some time now. Unlike the Superman, this piece has never been used and has a hefty price tag to match. When I asked about the price, I was told they are not actively trying to sell it, but can be obtained for 50K for the discerning collector.

Two fresh Moneybag drops are going down today at 1p.m. p.s.t. in-store only at Just Another Gallery. The line up will start no earlier than one hour before the drop at 12p.m. Anyone arriving earlier will be sent to the back of the line, as per JAG. This gives everyone a fairer chance in my eyes as many don’t have the extra time to camp in line. Here’s what’s good today:

  Earlier in the week, JAG auctioned off a Wigwag version of the Blackberry Moneybag (above) with 100% of the proceeds going to fund Sweet Bricks Toffee, a local San Diego startup. The bag sold for $710 to @thefollower4321 who is definitely a big boss in the JAG auction circuit.

It is unclear whether there will be an online drop tomorrow. With the gallery’s Etsy shop closure, we’ll just have to wait until they finish building the new site which is hopefully close to completion.
