A homemade reward system for my students. When they do well they earn a fish. I love seeing the look on the child’s face when I tell them it can also be a ‘flying’ fish. Some kids will roll with it, while others insist that all the fish should remain underwater.
---
The fish are drawn/painted on watercolor paper and their shapes are cut out. Scrabooking ‘glue dots’ are added on the back of the fish. The painted background is covered with a clear plastic sleeve.

A gumball reward system for the kids. As a reward they get to pick a gumball colour to put in the machine. They often ask for black and brown gumballs, which I hadn’t thought of making!

Thank you @blackflirlarping for translating my drawing into an image description! I went to type it up for @deaflepuff but you beat me to it. You did a great job of describing the illustrations.
I took a class about deafblindness, and I am quite moved by the strength of the individuals with this conditions.

A rough sketch in watercolour pencil of the ceilling of the Baitur Rauf Jame mosque in Bangladesh. I was intrigued by the numerous small circular openings, scattered about like stars, to let in light.

While visiting the #Baitul Rauf Jame mosque in Dhaka, Bangladesh, I did a quick sketch of a wooden chair. Forget the chair, the space itself incredibly spiritual, built harmoniously with humble material (local brickwork) and elegant light wells. Worth a visit or at the very least an image search.

Lemons. A few sketches of lemons, done as part of an exercise to create 10 different images of an everyday household object. Iteratively creating and trying different mediums and techniques is a great way to generate new ideas and approaches. Having created something physical leads to further ideas and a more fluid thought process.
