BTS: Behind The Scenes.
This chapter is a look into the behind the scenes of my life outside of class. The various photos are made up of client shoots with two business partners of New Way Media Production, Editing stations, and special effects test shoots. I spend most of my life working on some kind of film project, whether it is for a client or a personal project, my life is film. My background which took me into film is practical special effects, I try my best to continue my knowledge of special effects into all my films. My most recent client video has been for Windsor Lights Musical theater promo for the live performance of Mamma Mia.
Film and video work does not feel like work, Its my life, its a way of living where every aspect of my brain functions of pictures or moving images and how the end goal will look. This is a sneak peak into all of the events that take up my time outside of campus.

Partners In Crime: Working With Family.(Eric Branget Bio) My brother is someone who has helped me write and edit every creative personal project I have gotten to make. During the pre-production stage of my films my brother will help me develop script revisions, characters, refine situations and dialogue. We are very much a “Cohen Brothers” team, With both of in the writer’s chair, myself behind camera and Eric acting in front of the camera. Styles in my films have been the gore-hound, event, and FX driven plots. However Eric being a graduate from the professional acting program at the University Of Windsor (BFA) he consistently pushes me to pay careful and thoughtful attention to character detail and emotional depth and meaning within the story it self. Not many people are lucky enough to have a sibling who is pursing an art form which crosses over into their own. It’s a fantastic experience getting to develop and refine my art while also getting to spend time working side by side with family.

Night Photography, attempting to capture darkness while never hiding subject. I experimented with many alternative light sources, street lights, fire, florescent, and coloured LEDs. These light sources achieved great high contrast looks as well as silhouetting effects. I personally love dark/night photography, it is easy to create “noir” style looks as well as a more natural “gritty” look. These alternative looks are definitely ones I would try and experiment further with.
