Uranus Entering Taurus: 15 May 2018 - 26 April 2018

Uranus is the natural co-ruler of the sign of Aquarius and it is in detriment in Taurus, so this will be a very interesting transit to watch for. Uranus is those sweeping and shocking revolutionary changes no one is going to expect. The Taurus archetype relates to material and practical tangibility, the 5 senses, and values. Uranus brings the opposite of what you are used to, and flips that inside out, then outside in, and inside out.

The economy may take a hit during this transit, the way that Uranus appreciates equality for all of humanity can destroy unfair economies, and communism will return. Where are you going? How will you overcome the inevitable obstacles you face, and the strife that occurs within a human lifespan? The Sun in astrology is equitable to your will to live, and how you will utilize all resources to fill your potential. It is your ego in the sense that the sign of your sun is the idea of “self” you are trying to fulfill; while it is inherently “who you are”, a more succinct way to describe it would be to say “achieving what you want for yourself”. Meeting the demands of your sun is a life-long journey, which is why it is the most well-known body of our astrological chart.

☾ Moon ☽

The Moon represents our habits, our instincts, and our drive for emotional security. Our moon sign is influenced by our mother, as the sign of our moon is representative of how we’ve been taught to self-soothe ourselves in times of distress - habitually learned during development. It is responsive and reactive, directing us toward what is secure and telling us to withdraw when threatened. This is the planet that shapes our expectations of external affection, and points to how we care for ourselves and others in times of distress.

The main goal of mercury is to make sense of the world through interaction; it is thus representative of how we communicate with others/the world around us and the drive that we have to understand the objective world - as something completely separate from us and our subjective world. It is curiosity and logic; it is observation and reasoning. Mercury is the lens that we view the world through to categorize and assimilate all of the details we encounter so we can build ideas and concepts of our own with the supporting data we have collected.

Venus is the planet of relationships largely because it is reflective of the world around us. The sign that our Venus is in shows us how we reflect the best, most polished parts of others in a way that will make us appeal to another’s sense of beauty and harmony; it is how we portray ourselves in the best light in hope of gaining affection and partnership with another. Venus, while portrayed as focused solely on beauty and other “vain” attributes, is quite selfless in the sense that it is always focused on compromise that will allow the individual to integrate into social communities, or keep things harmonic in partnerships.

Mars is the fuel of the ego; the drive that allows us to pursue that fulfillment of our sense of self. It is largely our survival instinct, which reminds us of our competitors that threaten our goal; it is resistant and combative in instances as these, demanding individual resilience in face of external opposition. Therefore, in modern terms, the sign that mars is in determines largely how you go about asserting yourself and achieving your goals, rather than how your “survival of the fittest” instinct functions. While mars has the potential to be destructive and disorderly, the survival instincts of our mars kick in when the apathy of other planets, or external forces, hinder our growth toward our goals so that we can ultimately rebuild something more conducive to our ego.

Jupiter is the hope that we have for a better future, and the optimism toward acquiring a better life for ourselves and others. Jupiter functions largely on expectation of reward, which is why those influenced by Jupiter seem to be “larger than life” in the sense that the trivial aspects of life don’t affect them as they do others. There is an inherent idealism and enthusiasm for life based on the individual’s philosophy, and an idea of reward when they’ve lived according to their own truth. Jupiter does not easily accept failure, and thus allows vast potential for growth and expansion in spite of the harshness of reality that one faces daily.

Pallas is an asteroid that talks about our talents, problem solving skills, focus, and intuition. Today I’ll cover the basic talents. 

Aries Pallas- Associated with talents in athletics, competitions, gambling, coming up with ideas, possible inventor, and general risk taking.  Associated with being talented in edgy fashion or art, acupuncture, and homeopathy.  Wants a solution fast, has a hard time focusing their energy towards their talents and skills.

Who Do I Attract?

So, I have a lot of these asks in my inbox right now, and it’s not really an ask meme, it’s an entire area of astrology! I figured it’d be easiest to just make a post on what areas and ways you may attract certain signs or placements.

The placements here are likely to draw in people of certain signs or planetary dominants. Usually, it will attract the Suns, Risings and dominants of these signs. 

Below, in no particular order, are areas of your chart that may attract certain people or placements.

Your Moon Element will attract the same element and it’s pairing one. For example, a fire moon will attract fire and air moons. This is because your inner workings and feelings are understood by each other more so than typically incompatible elements, like water and air.

Your Rising Element will also attract the same element and it’s pairing one, but it may attract the Rising or Sun sign. For example, an earth rising will attract earth suns and/or risings. This is because your flow and ego is attractive to those who think and appear like you too, rather than those who are more reserved or wild than yourself.

Your Rising Sign is likely to attract, and in turn be drawn to, it’s sister sign. This can be in Sun, Rising or Dominance. This is because your ascendant is the opposite of your descendant, and this is the type of person we look for and admire. 💧neptune. where you are misunderstood, or possibly not even seen. it’s easy to hide there. your weak spot. when you need to escape, this is exactly where you want to go. but don’t spend too much time here or you’ll start feeling blue. it’s nice to be here to recharge for a bit, & i know you love it here but it will steal your happiness if you stay too long.

🌪pluto. you don’t like it here because when you’re hurting, this is how and where you handle it. it’s where things have never been that great and i’m sorry. even though it gets bad, this is where you are the strongest. this part of you changes all the time to become better. pluto won’t stop until this place is in tip-top shape. the devil wants to wreck you here, but god says he’ll help you build yourself stronger each time you’re kicked down here.
