Honestly very funny to me that one of my reactions to anxiety is to suddenly get very very sleepy. The tigers aren’t even chasing me, I’m dragging them toward me on a leash, and my brain is slamming the emergency shutdown to make me stop.

i understand that a lot of trans people claim binary identity as like a way of rejecting their assigned gender at birth or rejecting degendering as a form of misgendering, but i really don't think any trans person can be binary in the uncomplicated way that a cis person can be. like. i have never met a single trans person who completely lacks any nuance to their gender/gender presentation, even the loudest truscum "nb dni" trans guy, while he's an asshole and someone i'd take care to avoid, has had to contend with the gender binary as a construct in the way that a similarly chauvinistic cis man wouldn't. he got all the wrong answers, and is oppressive to other trans people, but like. his experience of gender defies the very binary he's trying to uphold.
