FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Libericans: A Story Of Love And Adventure That Will Change Your Perception About Liberia And Other West African States
Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. July 26th, 2019.
The Libericans is a captivating story of romance and adventure that trailed a man’s work life. It highlights the less emphasized elegance of a people in an environment once ravaged by war. The novel boldly reveals current struggles of some former child soldiers and the vulnerability of the girl child as some haunting native traditions clash with modern society.
Set in Monrovia, the postwar Atlantic Coast and beautiful capital city of Liberia, The Libericans showcases a West African state beyond stereotype imageries. It is another attempt to project the region from an indigenous perspective.
The book, which was originally published by Authorhouse, UK on June 18th 2019, is available on all top book retailing platforms including Amazon and Barns & Nobles.
The author, Remy Ajakah, studied History at University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. In 2010, he ran what could be said to be Liberia’s first destination and entertainment blog, umuafrika.com and libluve.com. Later, he left blogging to take on showbiz entrepreneurship after an unpleasant encounter with the security agents in Liberia.
Aside from creative writing, he also has interestsin social critiquing and song writing. He also has a huge fascination for photography and is an expert in video production.
Mr, Ajakah lives in Monrovia, Liberia but frequently visits some other West African countries. The Libericans is his first published book.

5 Ugliest Truth
U have no right to call my female friend or any girl Ogbojo by way of insult. After all, you or ur sisters are doing the same shit. The difference could just be the mode of operation.
If you go into a relationship with the plan of cheating a person and you end up losing, don’t feel bad he or she was just smarter than U.
If there is no love in a relationship then there won’t be any heart break. So just do ur thing but don’t fall inluv.
Love is for the married and people who want to get married. So stop fooling yourself to be in love with someone u won’t marry lol ..don’t marry someone 4 his gullibility! Or u will b fooling ur self.
I don’t even know you so don’t think I am referring to u!!!

•DSP... a man of contradiction?
About a month ago, I was just praising DSP on one of his yet to be released videos. While I still take the video as one of the best if not by far the best Liberian music video (though with some reservations), I stumble on another video of his called the” Monrovia style”. This particular video, I am sorry to say, seem by far the wakest piece I have seen in Liberia since my relocation.
