listen, in my defense, it was impossible to be on the internet in the early 2010s and not be a Homestuck. when you tried to log on to tumblr dot com you were automatically redirected to the mspaintadventures site. if you tried to click away you’d be redirected to various loops of Betty Crocker and “I WARNED YOU ABOUT STAIRS” memes until your will was inevitably broken and you succumbed to the darkness. “let me tell you about Homestuck,” we would beg random strangers, desperate for someone, anyone to listen. but woe to anyone that did.

anyways lol yeah. I was pretty into it during its peak, but gradually fell out of the fandom sometime around 2012 or so. I still have really fond memories of waiting for updates, and crashing Newgrounds when Cascade was released. but the Homestuck fandom made the BnHA fandom look like adorable toddlers as far as what we consider to be drama nowadays lol. that much I definitely do not miss.

one of these days I would like to reread the entire series and actually finish it, but I also have no idea if I’ll ever have that kind of attention span ever again lol. past me sure was something.
