it’s a late weekend night when rachel thinks she’s finally cleared out all the bags of candy and chocolates she had prepared to give out, but upon entering her bedroom, she spots another one just under the edge of her bed- one that must have fallen off when her fingers felt like they were while tying the ribbons. “hey jeongha,” she addresses the girl currently sitting on her bed. “guess what?” before she can respond, rachel bends down to pick up the bag and drops it in the other’s lap. “happy valentines season.”

it’s not the greeting she expected, sprawled out on the other woman’s bed as if she owned the place. though not wholly unhappy with being given a gift, there’s other things that she was looking for by seeking out rachel’s bedroom. “is this really my only gift?” a well-practiced pout falls across her face, reaching out to drag the woman closer, down into her lap. “you gave this to everyone.. i’m special, right?” there’s mischief to her voice, frown turning into a sly little smile when she leans in too close to be properly seen. but she stops there, just waiting for rachel to take her bait. this is her favorite game, after all.

jeongha’s antics aren’t anything new to her- and thanks to the younger, the fumes from those antics aren’t either. out of all the girls in the dorm, whenever the familiar smell of colorant permeates the air, it’s most likely jeongha. (sometimes minah wishes she had the courage to change hair colors even half as often.)

it doesn’t bother her in the slightest, and it’s not like minah’s own reputation for niceness is exactly known, but when she hears the other’s voice calling for her in the middle of reading, she scoffs to herself. of course. “only if i get a gas mask free of charge,” she sing songs as she walks over, rolling her eyes before jeongha can see.

“color of the month is blonde, huh?” she questions, already guessing at what jeongha needs her to do and pulling the spare gloves on to mix for her. “are you going to go matchy with a certain someone?” minah teases. “tis the season, huh?” the elder sits on the edge of the sink carefully, sighing as she shakes the bottle. “do you need help with the back or do you have it?”

“it’s not that bad,” jeongha has to pout even before minah can see her, has to put up a fuss now that she’s been gently prodded at. she knows what’s a joke and what’s serious, and she has a window open so what’s the big deal? she didn’t get her cosmetology license just to pay someone else to color her hair for her.

thankfully, minah doesn’t put up too much of a fuss, and jeongha’s giving her a big grin as the other woman resigns herself to playing assistant until the process with her hair is done. she teases, but it’s nothing jeongha can’t handle. she bumps her with her hip, one of the few retaliations she can safely do with her hands full of lifter.

“future dreams and all,” her voice lilts in return, a subtle edge to it that’s only recognizable to those who know her best. han jeongha is out for blood. “i plan to stand out. any other blonde bitch has nothing to do with this,” she grins, though she knows exactly who minah is talking about. she and rachel just mess around, that’s all. “i could do the back, but it’d be so much easier if you helped me out, babe.”

if the bathroom reeks of chemical color lifter and toner, then surely the whole dormitory does as well. jeongha would say she has no regard for the feelings of the girls who share a living space with her but.. maybe she has a little regard in this respect. the bleach fumes start to give her a hell of a headache after a while, and she works in a whole salon from time to time. it’s not the first time jeongha has colored her own hair before, and it certainly won’t be the last, but it takes an enormous amount of time and effort to go from a dark brown to bright blonde.

well, good things sometimes require sacrifices. if she wants to stand out on this future dreams thing, then she’s not going to blend into the background with all the other boring brunettes; they say blondes have more fun anyways.

“minah,” she calls out to the first person she thinks of, someone she knows will be home right now. “can you come in here? i need you to grab something for me.”

she’s not ready to take off her gloves yet, there’s still more yet to be applied, but it’s gotta be mixed up with the developer first, and the last thing jeongha wants to do is get her slimy hands all over the bottles. it was her mistake to underestimate how much she’d really need to thoroughly coat her entire head of hair, but it’ll just take a minute or two to ask minah to help her out. it’s only costing her hours of rare free time to even do this in the first place, surely her dormmate can spare sixty seconds.

it begins with music, with a backlit semi-silhouette moving to a smooth, bass-heavy beat. she’s graceful, obviously well practiced, sultry in a way that proves her confidence in herself and her attractiveness. han jeongha is that bitch. she knows she’s a beautiful young woman, knows how to use that to her advantage, and isn’t afraid to. it’s the type of charisma that girls love and guys hate, the type of woman who can’t be owned or claimed and will destroy you if given the chance. she’s hypnotic, owning the space that the camera allows her, and leaving no room for eyes to wander away from her dance.

the performance is over far too soon, and he lighting changes. she’s smiling at the camera now, her powerful expression faded, though not entirely. there’s still that ferocity behind her eyes, even though a much more approachable curve decorates her lips.

“my name is han jeongha,” she says, a name that everyone will be sure to remember. “i’m twenty-two years old and going into my third year training at legacy.” she’s just a little winded from her dance, as any good performer should be if she truly put her all into even a short showcase. she doesn’t heave her chest though, she just pauses to wet her lips with her tongue and brush stray hairs out of her face.

“i came here wanting to dance, to be an idol. lately, i’ve been feeling a little old,” she laughs, a joke at her own expense. she’s not that old after all, but certainly not a teenager anymore, not as fresh-faced as the groups coming out of other companies. “so i want to be more than just a performer. i want to be a brand, a face that people see and want to be like.” not a role model, she never uses those words. she wants to to be an icon. “you’ll never forget me.”

SHE MAKES UP HER OWN RULES AND NEVER LOOKS BACK         • HAN JEONGHA REHEARSING & PERFORMING AT FUTURE DREAMS

there is no glamor in this moment. she paces, hands on her hips to keep her chest loose and open, breathing hard as the music comes to a close. it will loop and play through again if she let it, but the woman pauses it for now. hours into practice, the back of her shirt wet with sweat, her lungs sore from the way she pushes them. jeongha is just fine and in shape, her regular cardio routine isn’t far off from this, but there’s a sort of urgency to the way she practices now.

time is so short. the weeks they are given are not a long time to learn and perfect a whole choreography and songs to match. everyone is competition at this point, no one can be trusted to be considered an ally. after all, they face the judges alone. it may be safely from the other side of a camera and screen, but it’s still just one shot. one take. for better or for worse, when it comes time to show what they’ve learned, she has to be the best of them.

she counts her blessings where she can find them. they record alone, no need to take the extra time to sync her every move to an entire group’s. she’s comfortable in any concept, confident enough in her body and her ability to move it and adapt to the four songs they’re given to learn. oh, of course she has her favorites, but in the end it doesn’t really matter. fresh and teen crush may not suit a woman well settled into her twenties, but she knows how to manage her expressions, how to play doe-eyed and innocent when the situation calls for it. and she knows how to be fierce, a preferred look on her face, how to turn her expression sharp and threatening. and somewhere in between. fun, a touch innocent, almost confident. switching between all of them so quickly is a touch difficult, but jeongha can manage anything. she has to.

her thumb mashes against the play button, starting the song again. she’s had enough time to catch her breath and gather her thoughts, and she returns to her practice diligently.

jeongha doesn’t mind being out of breath, not at first. she goes ten times harder, practices each song a hundred times in a row. it’s cardio and she’s building hers up so when it’s time to add her voice to the dance, she’ll be more than prepared. it’s how she’s always approached practice and learning new performances and it hasn’t let her down too hard up until now.

the day comes to record, and jeongha doesn’t even try to school the smile off her face. her bones ache in the most pleasant way, a dull burn that reminds her of how hard she’s worked, how thoroughly she’s prepared herself. she wears the pain like a badge of honor, like a crown on her head an an elaborate mantle on her shoulders. it’s not so bad that it will hurt her performance, not if she warms up properly (which she is always sure to do).

her turn is called. she spots the red light of a recording camera, waits for the staff’s signal. she smiles that same confident smile she wore on her first appearance, bows with her introduction, and takes her stance for the music to start.

SHE’S FROM THE FIRES, PLAN YOUR DEMISE ;                   • HAN JEONGHA ENTERING FUTURE DREAMS

she runs a hand through her hair, soft from whatever product the stylist had used to give it a camera-ready glow, ruffles it briefly at the base of her head before letting the hand fall to her hip. it rests there, her posture confident and comfortable despite being in an unfamiliar environment. han jeongha may not be a familiar returning face, nor is her experience in front of the camera in general all that extensive, but she is a woman who knows who she is and embraces it. no one can make her feel uncomfortable in her own skin. and, in her opinion, the best way to adjust to a new situation is to just take the bull by the horns, head on.

the glass eye staring her down does nothing to intimidate her, rather she smiles at it with all the charm she cares to spare at the moment. ‘introduce yourself,’ a staff member says to her, and jeongha is ready to let the world know who she is. she’s a charming girl with good manners who bows to the staff and the cameras as she says her hellos, but the look in her eye and the smile on her face promises something more than what meets the eye.

“i’m han jeongha, twenty two years old, from incheon. i’m going into my fourth year as a trainee.” 

oh, she could spin her story, tell a tale of woe about years of lonely practice rooms, the opportunities she gave up as a teenager, how she’s afraid she won’t make it father now. she could make the audience pity her, root for her. but she leaves it unspoken for now, lets the producers cut her as they see fit, until she knows what role they want her to play. she can be the bitch, the drama queen, the tragic hero, the faithful leader. han jeongha is a girl with many skins which she slips into and out of as easily as coats.

“honestly? i’m really excited,” she lets out a laugh, something breathless and exhilarating, a smile that spans her face in a cheshire fashion. “i’ve been ready to show the world what i can do for years, and i’ve finally got that chance. i’m here to be the best. if i’m not that right now, i’ll practice until i am.” she tells them she’s ambitious, dedicated. she’s someone who wants to be on top so badly it’s infectious, and you can’t help but root for her too. or at least, that’s the goal.

they let her into the main studio, her gait confident and casual despite having no idea what she’s walking in on. pick a number, she’s told, where do you think you’ll place in the competition? she doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t think twice. she already told them where she expects to be, that she plans to wear the crown in the end. number one is the only choice for her, and she picks it up with casual assurance.

“i’ve been training a long time,” she says when questioned. “and i know that it doesn’t necessarily mean i’m more talented than someone who hasn’t been a trainee as long. but i’m tough. i’ve stuck it out for this long. and i’m confident enough to try anything. so i’m aiming for the top. why would i come here if i didn’t want to win?”

hey y’all i know i’m a bit late to my own party but thank you for all the welcomes (which i will be getting to stat) !!!

i’m rian and i’m new to lgc and this is my first muse, han jeongha! summed up: she’s a bitch, but a fun bitch, and i hate her ! as per usual, i’ll put a few bullet points of a summary and some easy-to-achieve generic relationships to help get the ball rolling and get this girl some plots!

came in as a dancer, learned to sing later

big fan of more provocative choreos, very much a ‘embrace your femininity/sexuality’ type of gal

growing up her life wasn’t actually that interesting but she did go to a high school (left undecided; perhaps we can plot ex-classmates??) and 2 yers of uni (also undecided; again ex-classmates??)

she’s kinda a hoe ngl it’d be very easy to have a casual hookup plot

that said she’s not usually a fwb type except for special circumstances; she doesn’t like feeling tied down to anyone or anything at this point in time and even fwbs is too much commitment for this bitch

btw i don’t write smut like i’m 21+ but i just don’t write it and i hate this muse so much

definitely an extravert, but not exactly........ nice? she’s more likely to boss someone around before trying to befriend them, unless you’re a senior, then she might’ve cozied up to you if it benefitted her
