Also! We deadass have a ghost at work. Sooooo, joke’s on me because that new “friend” has actually turned out to be a nightmare of a person. Like.....pushy, rude, and way too touchy for my liking because despite me loving physical affection I actually can’t stand people touching me. Jungkook was on twitter fairly often, and when he saw a hashtag with his name trending, he figured fans were being silly about a member walking out of the airport looking particularly attractive. But then he saw a picture of you on the timeline— and then another. He looked over a couple of the posts, noticing the thousands of likes and retweets. A little anxious, he dialed your number. “Have you been on twitter at all today?” You explained you’d been too busy with work, and he quickly cut you off. “Right. You should come back home— just in case, until things settle down. Pictures of me picking you up from work are everywhere. I know it sounds unnecessary, but I don’t want fans to come up to you or anything— maybe you could take a few days off work? We could stay in at my place, there’s security at the door and we could just— hibernate.”

Taehyung was devastated when a manager pulled him over and gave him the news. It’s not that he was embarrassed of you— your relationship was one of the few things he was truly proud of. Even then, the two of you had agreed that it would be something private, intimate. He enjoyed talking to fans about your relationship, he’d shared pictures of your hands and stories of your first few dates— but that was all by choice. Having your picture spread around was something out of his control, and even though having his privacy violated was something he was used to— he worried you’d struggle with it. He’d drive over to your place despite the manager’s protests, wanting to tell you everything in person. “I know you wanted to keep things private— I’m sorry, hyung. I don’t know how they got those photos.”

Jimin’s first instinct was to panic. You were terrible at hiding your feelings when it came to these things, but you tried your best for him— knowing he was already stressing out enough on his own. “It’s fine— don’t worry about it babe. It was bound to happen.” The members agreed with you, trying to reassure Jimin it’d all be dealt with. He only shook his head, mumbling things too low for you to hear clearly at first. Knowing that thousands if not millions of strangers would now be aware of your face and make the connection between the two of you made him a bit uneasy. “You don’t get it. I knew what I was getting myself into— but you don’t. I get death threats from strangers daily, I don’t—“ He choked up. “I don’t want you to be in any danger, hyung.”

Namjoon skimmed over the long bodies of text and supportive messages from fans— a few of them even spoke in favor of protecting the privacy of your relationship. You were laying in bed next to him, doing the same on your phone. Your friends and family had been contacting you all morning, but social media was even more overwhelming. He sighed, placing his phone down on the nightstand and wrapping his arms around you, his chin on the crown of your head. “They found all of your social media accounts.” He said. “And the place you work at.” You only nodded, burying your head deeper into his chest. “Don’t worry about it,” you smiled, small and tired, “We can handle it. There’ll be other scandals soon enough.”

Hoseok almost wished he had been the one to leak the pictures. There were copious amounts of couple pictures in his phone— some more decent than others, but nevertheless, any one of them would’ve been better than the ones that the media was spreading around. It was of the two of you kissing, right in front of your house. Street number and everything. He didn’t feel particularly angry at the world knowing that he was dating you, but he felt incredibly frustrated because it seemed as if your safety had now been compromised, all because he couldn’t control his lips. “Fuck, this kind of sucks, huh?” He groaned, running his fingerings through his hair. “Well, I think this is the universe’s way of telling us we should move in together— in a whole different city, probably— but together.” He scrunched up his nose, “No kisses in our front yard this time, though.”

Seokjin and you were incredibly careful with everything you did. Something as simple as going out to eat tended to be a hassle, but Seokjin had always insisted on doing those things anyway, determined to get as much normalcy as he possibly could. It had worked out well, for a while. Then the owner of some Korean Barbecue place decided it would be fair to spread around pictures of the two of you eating at his restaurant. It was clear from the body language in the images that you two were more than platonic. After comforting you, Seokjin’s response to the situation was a very passive form of anger. “Don’t worry, angel. I’ll contact management and get this sorted immediately.” He scoffed, pacing back and forth as you watched from the couch (stressed, but also amused). “These pictures are a clear invasion of privacy— that restaurant? Cancelled. Don’t even get me started on dispatch, because let me tell you—“

Yoongi and you were out with the members when it happened. Jungkook’s phone kept on going off, and he apologized every single time— until Yoongi became frustrated and insisted that he just answer whoever it was. Jungkook spoke as he scrolled through his phone, “Ah, I have notifications on for this update account I follow on twitter. Just to keep up with fans and stuff, some airport photos probably just— Oh.” He paled. The table became loud, everyone demanding to see whatever it was that had warranted that reaction out of the youngest. Jungkook swallowed before handing his phone over to Yoongi, who quickly scrolled through it before turning to you. “It’s fine, let’s keep eating.” He sighed. “Some asshole hacked into my iCloud and sold pictures of me and y/n to the press.” He held your hand under the table, and if there was a slight shake to them as he mumbled something about capitalism, you pretended not to notice.

Random update: I still hate my workplace, and I’m honestly days from quitting, BUT I accidentally made a new friend. She’s a bit too much energy for my poor introverted ass, but she’s pretty cool. I also got a nice hair cut much to most people’s disappointment, but they still think I’m cute so I guess that’s a win. Hope every single one of you guys are doing lovely 😘💕-🌱 Kitten

Jungkook would be terrible at hiding how nervous he was, palms wet with sweat and adam’s apple bobbing with every gulp he took. Despite the nerves, he’d make a great effort to be charismatic and win your parents over by going out of his way to interact with them. He’d refrain from letting his hands linger on your skin for too long, respectful— and maybe also a little afraid of your dad’s occasional glares. At the end of the first night, he’d crawl into bed with you, “Hyung, I made a good first impression right?” He’d sigh, content and proud, “Your dad seemed to hate me a little bit less the more I helped him put lights up— you think maybe tomorrow I can get away with holding your hand?”

Jimin would be surprisingly great at feigning confidence around your parents, all kind smiles and sweet compliments. He’d go just a little too far actually— too caught up in playing the role of the perfect boyfriend to actually enjoy getting to know your parents. You’d have to remind him that your parents would already love him, by default. They loved anything and anyone that made their son happy. Jimin would let himself be wrapped in your arms, a little embarrassed as he confessed to feeling insecure. “I know baby, it’s just... I feel like you’re naturally so perfect with your family— and I don’t want your parents to think you’re getting less than what you deserve or anything...”

Taehyung would be the one to bring up the idea of spending the holidays with your parents. He’s very family oriented, so he valued being able to live in your childhood home for a couple of days and getting to really speak to the people responsible for creating you, the person who’s influenced him the most— at least in terms of emotional intelligence. He’d be charming and genuine, not putting too much pressure on himself or your parents. “Hyung, I was a little bit worried about meeting them for the first time,” He’d admit, “but now I realize I was being silly,” He’d kiss you, soft, his mouth curved into a small smile even then, “Why was I worried? Of course they’d be good people—they made you.”

Hoseok would be able to find the perfect balance between being polite and proper, while also being familiar, a little too warm to be strictly friendly. He’d wake up early to help your mother make breakfast and offer to go to the store and buy groceries with your dad, wanting some private time to bond. Everyone would be manage to get along well fairly easy— much to Hoseok’s credit. He’d be great at reading the atmosphere and figuring out how to make everyone feel a little bit more at ease. Actually, he’d even be the one comforting you about it— “Baby, your parents just want you to be happy— I’m sure whatever we do, they’ll be thankful you’re healthy and happy, mhmm?”

Yoongi would push himself to speak as much as he could, knowing that he had a tendency to listen and think instead of joining into conversations. He’d be shy and hesitant at first, not wanting to say anything that your parents wouldn’t like— but also not wanting to come off as being too tense or rigid. His being so careful allowed your parents to realize how much he cared, which made them like him that much more. They’d be the ones to take initiative and put in the most effort, at least on surface level— but Yoongi would be quick to follow their lead. “Hey, baby, your mom wanted me to help her with something in the family room— but I’ll join you in a second, alright?”

Jin would be incredible at pushing past his nerves, forcing himself to work through the awkward first introductions, as well as the following threats and expectations he received form your parents. He’d be respectful, but wouldn’t hold himself back from holding your hand, pulling you into his lap, or asking you to wrap your arms around his waist when it got colder out. By the end of the trip, your father would go as far as to joke he was an even better cook than your own mother, and Jin would only laugh and insist otherwise. “Oh! That’s— that’s sweet of you to say Mr.___, but we all know I couldn’t have pulled off those chocolate chip cookies nearly as well,” He’d smile, warm despite the winter, “y/n must’ve been so lucky to grow up with such great cooking!”

Namjoon would be anxious about everything— from questioning if he made the right choice regarding the presents he bought for your parents, to preparing to feign surprise when he received his own presents (he’d figure out what you and your parents got him while playing on your phone and accidentally coming across the texts). But as soon as he got there, he managed to get himself composed enough to express how thankful he was you’d all be spending the time together, promising to prove how much he loved and cared about being a part of the family while he was there. Your parents would be able to tell he was a good guy immediately, it wasn’t hard to see how much he cared at you, given the way he looked at you, doting on every simple thing you did. “I feel stupid for stressing about this so much,” He’d sigh, relieved, “every minute spent with you and your family are the best sixty seconds of my life.”
