shouldnt it be 25 days of louis lol??

no. the thing is, we were the first ones to make this kind of thing (birthday countdown + charity drive), two years ago when Louis turned 23. we decided to do a countdown starting dec 1st, so each day of the month would coincide with its designed prompt, and this is why we called the challenge 24 Days of Louis. when people started doing it for the other boys they decided to use their age for the name of the challenge. it was just a ~lucky coincidence that last year louis’ age coincided with the countdown. 

since this is the third time we do this, we’re not going to change the number, mostly because if we started a day earlier to make it 25 things would get messier (i.e. the day of the month&prompts number wouldnt coincide anymore). :)

I'm an idiot. I thought it had been 24 days for his 24th birthday. Now I realized that it's the leadup to Christmas. I feel silly because I expected a 25DoL. :D I am super excited though!! Thank you so much for organizing again!!

haha you’re not! a lot of people thought the same thing, and i get it, especially because for the other boys it works like that! it’s mostly because of the day the boys’ birthdays fall on (you can’t do a countdown starting on february 1st ;D) With Louis it’s easier to stick to 24 because this way the day of each prompt coincides with the day of the month, if we started a day earlier to make it 25 it would be a mess!

We are happy to announce that the 3rd edition of 24 Days of Louis will start again soon! For those of you who don’t know, 24DoL is an edit challenge organised to celebrate Louis’ birthday and to raise money for his charity drive. Starting on December 1st and ending on December 24th, we have chosen 24 prompts you can fill by creating any kind of fanwork to post on each day; each prompt number coincides with the day of the month you have to post said prompt (for example: prompt #6 has to be posted on Dec 6th).

If you have any questions about the challenge (especially if you have doubts about the prompts), you can message us here or on our projects blog. You might also want to check out our 24DoL page for useful links and other info. RT this tweet to spread the word about it on Twitter too!

What is a repost? I really don't understand.

when you take a person’s work (edits, gifs, fan art, etc) and you post it again (on the same or other platforms) without crediting and without the author’s permission, basically claiming it as your own (even if that is “not your intention”) or when you make alterations to said work.

Yes, everyone is free to join the challenge, even up to the last day! You don’t have to fill every single prompt if you get stumped, which means you can skip any day and still be able to participate the next, but make sure you stay on schedule! Oh and make sure you made what you’re posting, like, don’t post something you took from someone else/found on twitter/didn’t make, etc. 

Please make your own fanwork!! And because this is something that tends to be done, please don’t make alterations to someone else’s work and claim as your own /: we consider that a repost as well //:

Our one of a kind, Drag Me Down inspired quilt is now up for auction! The proceeds go towards our charity drive for Eden Dora Trust for Louis’ 24th birthday.

This quilt is 100% cotton, quilted in rainbow thread and measures 65 x 74 inches. It can be machine washed and dried on medium heat.

A big thank you to @ashleyrguillory, @rubycurls and @rosketch for the specially creating the art for this project!!
