So I made a post a little bit ago about Beauyasha reminding me of my fiancé and I at the beginning of our relationship. We are both sporty/jock ish, disaster, touch starved, lesbians with love languages in acts of service and quality time.

It might be the awkward as hell conversations in tandem with the small gestures or something else but gosh I love this ship for showing me two confident in their sexuality lesbians. It’s the healing, it’s the sentinel babes, it is having each other’s back. It holding on too little things like listening for thunder. It is seeing each other after a heartfelt conversation late at night. It’s the silly things like fish markets being favored terrain. It’s the check-ins with each other, verbal and nonverbal, “you okay?”, hand on the small of the back.

Now to tie it into future wifey and I some more. We both have relatively fucked up pasts. I would probably relate her more to Beaus situation and mine more to Yashas. Although I see both of us in each of them (which is super dope). The over-protectiveness now that Yasha is back that she has shown over Beau. Threatening her dad, going into the hag (not letting Beau finish saying her the piece about leaving), taking damage that could be avoided to protect and heal Beau, carrying Beau when she asks, being flustered as hell when she tries to talk to Beau.

I relate to all of this so damn deeply because I would not hesitate to take any damage to protect my fiancé. I have gone toe to toe with some family and it wassss interesting. In Beau the eloquence that she normally has with words failing when talking to a pretty girl reminds me so damn much of my fiancé its hilarious. Yasha being unable to flirt back is like looking in a mirror-like she's flirting with you do something, you idiot! The way that Yasha came up behind Beau and put her hand on the small of her back with Beau complaining about the water is almost to a T a conversation we have had about the weather. The little “you okay” that gets sprinkled in from Yasha more recently is a thing we do because  neither of us a great at talking. The “can you hold me” and any time Yasha has carried Beau smacks me in the stomach. Me at me bish you’ve been there and every time she asks you fall a little bit even when you don’t want to show it. When they are on watch and have deep meaningful conversations, I flashback to in the beginning when I would get off open to close shifts and stay up till 3 am just to talk.

There is so much more but it's 2 in the morning and I need to go to sleep. SO, in conclusion, I love both of these characters, and no matter where it goes I will be happy to have found them. I am so thankful to Ashley and Marisha for the way they play these strong, amazing, and complicated women.
