I'm curious what famously hated comic books you actually enjoyed.

I'll start us off. Despite the gaping plot holes, and awkward writing, I genuinely enjoyed Young Justice (2019) by Bendis. It was a comic that to me felt more like the spirit of Young Justice than any comic we have had with the core four in decades.

Thoughts on trans ted kord?

Honestly don’t really have any. I do really like the idea of trans booster though (and I’m very 50/50 on a trans rip/rani, cause a. It’d be cool, but b. I like the idea of them fighting time crime as siblings).

My personally ideal for Ted is that, growing up in the 60s, he’s got a lot of internalised homophobia and never even considered being gay as a possibility. Knowing so little about queer issues he’s barely even aware being trans is a thing. He is certifiably Heterosexual™©®. Until one day, long after becoming friends, in some way or another he realises he’s in love with Booster. Who, after they get together and he feels safe to since for the JLI it’s perpetually the 80s in my mind, teaches Ted about all things queer.
