Body Heat

Lexie brought the shot glass to her lips and swallowed down the clear liquid as the crowd around her cheered her own. The tequila burned down her throat as she slammed the glass down. Her tongue already tingled from the salt she had kicked off her wrist and she quickly bit into a lime to cool the burning. "Okay guys. That's enough." She said much to their chagrin. Laughing to herself, she shooed away the crowd before turning back to the bar. When she spotted Dylan behind it, she pointed at them. "I love when fans buy us drinks." Reaching over the bar, Lexie grabbed the bottle and poured herself another shot. "So how's it going, pretty girl?"

Lexie smiled as her eyes trailed along the features of Dylan’s face. She remembered early morning moments when she would wake up amid the silk sheets. She’d lay watching Dylan sleep with the early morning light on her face and the only thing she ever thought was how she could spend every day of the rest of her life waking up to mornings like that. She jumped but only because Dylan had, then giggled. “You okay there?” She teased. “We can put on the comedy if you’d rather watch that.”

Dylan smiled as she sat there watching the movie that was on the screen. “I’m sure you are, I never one doubted you had changed it..” Letting the girls fingers running over her palm gave her goose bumps all over her body, something that she shouldn’t be getting. She was a taken woman and she wouldn’t cheat on Cassie, she wouldn’t be the reason she breaks up wit her, Dylan knew how that felt and it killed her heart. When a jump scare came, Dylan grabbed the girls hand tight as she placed her other over her chest. “Holy fuck”

For a second, Lexie hoped that Cassie couldn’t deal with it so Dylan would be free again. Then she felt guilty about that thought because it would mean she’d get hurt again. That was the last thing Lexie wanted. Her lips turned up into a smile when Dylan nudged her and she casually let her fingertip trace the lines on her palm. “Hey, give me some credit. I still am flexible.”

“She will..she’s gotta if she wants to stay with me, I’m not just going to quit, it’s not who I am” she said. Letting the warmth from Lexie’s hand travel through her body as a small side smile crept up on her lips. “I’m sure you do know that” she couldn’t help but yo laugh. Pushing the brunette a bit with her shoulder. “You’re still horrible..” Dylan subconsciously flipped her hand over and let their palms hit, resting her head back on the back of the couch. “So were you…flexible..”

Lexie watched her as she spoke and every word both made her feel full and cut into at the same time. She hated thinking about them breaking up but the reminder of their relationship kept her going. “I’m sure she will eventually, get used to it, I mean. It takes a lot to handle dating someone who makes their living having sex.” Because she couldn’t not touch her, Lexie brushed some hair over Dylan’s shoulder and then touched her hand to her arm, before resting it on top of her hand. Then, because she couldn’t not joke, she said, “I know you’re flexible with a lot more than hours,” she teased, hoping to break the tension.

Dylan nodded as she let her green eyes look at brown when she said that. “I know and we haven’t been together for three years..she can handle it. I was still working after you and I broke up, I was still working when I met her 7 months ago. I’m not changing because she doesn’t like the idea of my ex fiancee going down on me..it’s the job, she knows I’m a porn star and damn good one at that..she’s going to have to deal with it. It would be the same thing if I was a stripper and shit, Cassie just has to deal she’s in a relationship with a porn star” Dylan just shrugged. Her heart hurt being this close to Lexie, she didn’t think it would but boy was it hurting to the pint where she wanted to put her hand over her chest. “Tuesday works for me, whatever you wanna do Lex, you know I’m flexible with hours”

“I know it is but,” Lexie shrugged. It was always hard to be this close to Dylan but in the grand scheme of things, she needed the girl in her life. Even if it was agony, some part of her ex-fiance’s life was better than no part at all. “It’s just the first time we’ve filmed together since we were together. If it’s going to cause problems for you and Cassie, I wouldn’t mind finding a new partner.” Her lips turned up a little when Dylan put those fears to rest. Now she had plenty of time to think about the two of them filming a scene together. Her eyes turned to the slender fingers on her leg, and that casual touch they always did. She looked up in time to see Dylan staring at the movie, but Lexie was locked in on her. You’re beautiful, she almost said. I miss you. I love you. Please come back to me. All the things she wanted to say but didn’t. She turned her head away and looked at the screen. “How is Tuesday for you? We could get the filming down early on.”

Dylan looked at the girl and nodded, she could still read her but she was rusty at it. “I do know you..” seeing the girl almost go into a closed off position, Dylan sat back. “Why? It’s just a job Lex..Cassie is the only one who isn’t that thrilled about it, she was insisting she come and watch but I told her no..it’s my job, I don’t want her seeing me get naked with someone else, I’ve done it for over five years, doing a scene with you isn’t like the end of all scenes..she’s making it into a bigger thing than it is..” honestly she was nervous about it, it would have been the first time in a couple years that her and Lexie had filmed and more importantly the first time they would have seen each other naked since the break up. “Don’t worry about it..” Dylan ran her hand up and down Lexie’s leg slowly as she looked at her before turning her attention to the movie.

Normally the answer to that question would have been yes. Lexie wasn’t a stranger to hook ups. But ever since she cheated and lost Dylan, she had only had one partner. She tried a few times but when she did, she thought of what she lost and stopped it. The one time she had slept with someone, she’d felt guilty afterwards even though she didn’t have a reason to anymore. “You know me,” she lied, letting Dylan believe she met someone. Lexie surely couldn’t tell her that she had been sexually anorexic since they broke up. Once the lights when out, Lexie slipped off her high heels and pulled her legs up on the couch, arms wrapping around her ankles. “You know, I um, I could call the producer and see if he can change the partner listing.” Dylan’s I wish I were kidding comment made Lexie very aware that she probably didn’t want to film with her.

Dylan nodded slowly as she let her green eyes train on the brunette as she walked towards her. “Well I think it did you justice..” saying with a smile on her lips. Putting her hand on the girls shoulder and squeezed it a little bit. “You always have..” smiling as she walked to the kitchen to grab a couple of glasses. Walking back, Dylan got on the couch bed to sit next to Lexie. Their relationship was a big pit of nothing when they first broke up but it was being in repair. “Meet any cute boys or girls there? bring anyone back like I’m sure you wanted too” Laughing a bit she placed her hand on the girls leg. Looking away from the brunette she pressed play on the remote before leaning up and over to shut the light off.

Lexie caught her breath when the door opened. The urge to lean in and kiss her out of habit was hard to suppress but she did, if only so she didn’t need to hear Dylan tell her no or feel her push her away. Wetting her lips, Lexie held up what she brought and tried to pretend it didn’t kill her to be this close without touching. “Sure thing.” She knew exactly what to do and went to work setting things up. She was putting the Friday the 13th dvd into the player when Dylan came back into the room. Standing up straight, Lexie smiled and then averted her attention. “Thanks. I needed the sun. I had such a great time,” she lied. The truth was Lexie had been in agony ever since they broke up. Tossing the video case on a table, she walked over to sit down on the pile of blankets. Patting the spot beside her, she said, “You do too. I always liked the wet look on you,” she teased with a wink.

It had taken Dylan a long time to get over Lexie, the girl was someone she wanted to marry, and they were about too until Lexie’s cheating came out into the open. It killed her, killed her more than she could imagine, she had liked the girl from the very beginning and now the one thing she thought that they wouldn’t do, hurt one another it had happened. Dylan finally moved on though, meeting Cassie due to her falling and the girl literally catching her. She was happy, even though seeing Lexie she wasn’t sure what was going to happen, her heart started to ache a little bit since she told her to come over. Dylan stepped out of the shower with a towel around her body when she heard the knock. “fuck..” saying as she quickly just got a robe on and ran over to the door to open it. “Hey..come in, set up the bed and such, I’ve just gotta put some clothes on” saying to the brunette as she walked to her room and closed the door a bit as she started to change into just some sweats. Coming back out, Dylan was then face to face with the girl who killed her heart, they hadn’t seen each other since Lexie went on her vacation. “You look good Lex..”

All I Have

It didn’t take ten minutes to get to Dylan’s place from the apartment Lexie rented after their break up. As she stared at the clock in her car, she noted that it had been twenty minutes since she’d left. Sitting in front of Dylan’s place, hands on the steering wheel, she had to digest the news that they had been paired together for a scene. It had nothing to do with Lexie not wanting to do the scene - far from it. Ever since her indiscretion, the girl couldn’t stop thinking about Dylan. She was in love, deeper than she even knew was possible, but Dylan had moved on. She was with Cassie now, and the mere thought that another woman got to lay with her, touch her, kiss her - it killed Lexie. Taking a deep breath, she blew it out slowly and finally pushed herself out of the car. Pull yourself together, she told herself as she fluffed her hair. It had taken a long time for them to be friends again and she didn’t want to ruin that... but she also didn’t want the spend the rest of her life without Dylan. Grabbing her movies and the alcohol, Lexie walked up to the door and knocked, waiting for an answer.
