Chapter 3

Part 1: Timeline of the links for this fic and whose related to who

So for this particular story the set timeline is Sky first, then Four before we reach Time. Time is where the timeline splits into three, Legend, Twilight and Wind. After Legend is Hyrule for that part of the split timelines before joining back at Warriors. Last is of course Wild.

This is the way all the Links are connected timeline wise but relationship wise it's complicated. So I'll be going from first to last in the timeline on who they're related to.

1. Sky: Sky is related to Four and Legend, who I headcannon as part of the royal line Legend as his Zelda's brother and Four as his Zelda's cousin.

2. Four: Four is related to Legend through Sky as well as Wind, due to the shield that Wind had passed down to him, which is again a headcannon. He is also related to Warriors through Wind which will be explained slightly more in Wind's part.

3. Time: Time is biologically related to Twilight due to him being his direct descendant as well as Wild through Twilight. He is also related to Wind and Warriors due to time shenanigans.

4. Legend: Legend as previously mentioned is biologically related to Sky and Four.

5. Twilight: Twilight is biologically related to Time and has Wild as a descendant.

6. Wind: Wind is related to Four and Warriors. His relationship with Warriors is due to how I believe that Warriors family are descendants of Winds thus making the connection to four as well.

7. Warriors: Warriors is related to Four and Wind as previously explained.

8. Wild: Wild may possibly be Twilight's descendant therefore making him related to Time.

9. Hyrule: Hyrule is possibly the only one with no blood relations but he is a descendant of Legend's this making him related to Sky and Four as a result.

The relationships and timeline were made after lots of thinking about how the chain may be connected besides the hero's spirit and took a while to figure out. It is by no means cannon or set in stone. Both are just headcannons and my own interpretation of things.

So I hope this helps explain some things for people. I'll probably make another one of hers explaining if the chains know each other as heroes of the past or not so there's something to look forward to. I hope you enjoyed reading.^^

Chapter 3

a/n: Hello welcome to chapter 3! Sorry it's so late.

We're going to be having a slight Warriors, Wind and Mask, which is how I'll be referring to young Time, reunion so that's something to look forward to. So I hope you enjoy this chapter!^^

Watching Warrior's run over to Time and Wind Four could only sigh and hope for the best in this situation.

"Do you think they'll be alright?" Twilight asked worry clearly heard in his tone. Four felt like an idiot 'Twilight is Time's direct descendent, of course he'd be worried about his predecessor suddenly turning into a kid.'

"They will be, and even if they aren't we can offer them our best support and help where we're able to. Those three aren't alone in this." Sky responded.

Twilight just lightly nodded his head. Though while his shoulders were still tense there was now a slight smile on his face. Agreeing with Sky the three moved towards the rest of the chain hoping that Warriors and Wind had managed to explain the situation to Time.

Warriors ran, he ran to two of his closest brothers, the two who fought a war with him.

Wind just smiled brightly in response to Warrior's yell, welcoming him back.

"Tune, Masks !" He shouted when he saw them,not noticing the stares his fellow heroes were giving him.

"Captain ?" Masks voice said softly.

"Captain, what's going on ? Where are we ?" He continued.

Asking him to lean back and stay calm Warriors with Wind's help explained the current quest all the heroes across Time. As their explanations went on Mask's expression became more somber, a frown growing on his face.

"When are we then ?" He asked once the explanation was done.

"That we're not sure of. We think it's somewhere between Hyrule and Legend's." Tune responded.

"Hyrule, Legend ?" He asked not knowing who these names were referring to.

"Ah right Legend and Hyrule are from one of the split timelines. Their two heroes who came after you. Legend first then Hyrule."

At Mask's look of horror Warriors exchanged a glance with Wind.

"Well that can be dealt with later one of the others will be able to better explain the timeline situation to you. For now let's go get dinner and introduce you to our fellow heroes."

Still struck with horror at the thought of more heroes Masks wordlessly agreed and headed to the rest with Tune and the Captain on his side he felt unprepared to face the other heroes across time, the only silver lining he could see in this situation was possibly meeting the hero of men.

While that was going on the other links sat back going back to the campfire to start on dinner and cleaning up the mess as they gave the three time to talk and for Wind and Warrior's to help explain this current quest they were all on.

By the time the three were just about to reach the campfire all the heroes had returned and were sitting around the campfire as they waited for Wild to finish making dinner. Watching the trio approach the group got ready for introductions with only the hope that this time things will go better than the previous interaction.

a/n: And it's done! One thing to note young Time will most likely be referred to as Mask and Wind will most likely get referred to as Tune by him. The next chapter should have the introduction and the long awaited meeting so something to expect. ^^

Once again I'm so sorry this chapter was updated so late life just got really hectic and made it really difficult to find time to write. I will be posting some extra stuff to help explain some things about my au as well to make up for this soon.

a/n: hello again ^^. Here's chapter 2 and if you saw an earlier version of it no you didn't. This chapter is going to be introducing Sky, Twilight and Warriors so something to look forward to. Also forewarning this story may not follow the timeline set up in Linked Universe and I will eventually make a timeline explanation so yes... Anyways enjoy!! Edit: Sorry this chapter took so long irl stuff kept me busy but it's finally here!

Chapter 2

The child in front of the five slowly rose eyes blinking in confusion before they quickly sharpened and a sword was drawn against them.

Instantly Wind took the lead in trying to calm who could only be a young Time down. "Hey Mask, calm down it's me..." Quickly Wild headed closer to grab the pot to see if there was any potion left to help figure out what happened. Legend and Hyrule meanwhile had headed over to Four and Sky to inform them of the situation.

Young Time had by then recognised Wind and slowly started to calm down and lowered his sword. "Where are we Tune who are these people?" He asked in a low voice. 'Well that's a name I haven't been called in a while..' Wind thought as he explained the current quest that the links from different eras were in.

Hyrule and Legend who had explained the situation to Sky and Four respectively left them with the task to tell Warrior's and Twilight what happened before they headed to Wild to help with the potion.

Four and Sky proceeded to walk to the edge of the camp to catch Warrior and Twilight softly conversing.

"He's young...far too young.." Sky says in a guilt ridden tone.

"He is but that's the cards that were pulled all we can do now is help and provide support where we're able too.." Four offered as an attempt to sooth Sky

Twilight and Warriors on the other hand had just about reached the edge of camp with a light in their eyes. The two hadn't spotted any monster camps and were glad for the respite.

"We can finally get some proper rest." Twilight says.

"Indeed with the lack of monsters the watch should be light and we can regroup and do a stock check." Warrior's responded.

The two went back and forth on a variety of light topics before they nearly crashed into Four and Sky.

"oof.... Sorry about that I didn't see the two of y'all." Twilight apologised "Yes sorry about that you two." Warriors added on.

Instantly the two heroes shoulders tensed. "Is everyone alright ? Was it a flashback episode ?" Twilight asked eyebrows pressed together in concern.

Four calmly replied with a negative explaining what happened also adding in how Time called Wind, Tune having an inkling that Warriors might recognise the name. He was proven right when Warriors visibly tensed up.

"It's from your previous adventure isn't it, the name ?" Four asked softly, getting a minute nod in reply. "Alright then head on over to the large tree near the other side of camp the kid could use another familiar face."

Receiving a thankful agreement from Warriors Four, along with Sky and Twilight, watched him sprint towards Wind and Time hoping that he'd be able to help.

Chapter 1

a/n: so this is chapter one where things get rolling sort of maybe... But this is the first chapter of this story and I hope you enjoy it.

Previous chapter: Prologue

Chapter 1

The chain had just stopped to make camp after landing in an unknown era of Hyrule's forest. While some of the chain set up camp with Wild preparing dinner and Twilight ( as Wolfie) and Warrior's went to scout around. Time sat down to think through some realisations he had made of the shortest Link.

'Honestly it's a surprise I didn't connect the dots sooner.' He thought, staring into the woods on the lookout for monsters. Meeting the hero of men was never something he thought would happen in this timeline, and he wasn't disappointed.

The hero of men was everything he imagined him to be, young and done with his three quests but still alive and thriving. He was young (far too young), Four could be wise beyond his years but still be up to cause some mischief. Right now however he was looking over the group's weaponry and armour.

'Maybe I could ask about his tales..' Time thought to himself wistfully. Shaking his head to remove the thoughts from his head he went back to focusing on the surrounding wildlife guard back up.

He was so focused on his surroundings in fact that he didn't notice the potion heading towards him.

While Time had been on lookout Hyrule had joined Wild just before he started cooking and asked if they could make a few potions first. "Just in case we need any on the road especially since our stocks are low." He said with a rueful smile.

So the two got to making potions with some experimenting to see if a stronger red potion could be made. While they were doing that Legend was chasing after Wind for one thing or another and as Wind was running away he didn't notice how close he had gotten to Hyrule and Wild.

This led to a series of events. First Wind crashed into Hyrule and Wild who were carrying a mix of ingredients leading to said ingredients falling into the bubbling potion till eventually the three knocked into the potion spilling it on an unfocused Time.

Once the potion spilled there was fog and where Time once sat was a child sharing a remarkable resemblance with the hero of time.

Prologue

a/n: This is heavily inspired by the fic Fanboy by Cerame which I highly recommend. It's a lovely fic and gives such good vibes whilst reading. Please go check it out. So inspired by that here is a fic of Time meeting his hero and maybe just maybe healing his inner child a bit...

Please mind that there may be some ooc behaviour at times but I'll try my best to stay true to the characters. I hope you enjoy reading this story.

Prologue

For Time being the hero was a horrible experience that he would never wish on anyone. The horrors he faced during his adventures often made him feel like an outsider, an anomaly. Till his third adventure when he had met two heroes from future eras. Meeting Warriors and Wind had helped ease the feeling of exclusion but their separation at the end of the war that had brought them together allowed the feelings to return. Those negative feelings persisted till he eventually confided to Malon.

"Haven't you heard of the hero of the skies or the hero of men?". Malon had asked. Time responded negatively and this led to Malon introducing Time to his two predecessors.

The stories and legends of the hero of the skies felt at points too 'perfect'. They felt more like tales for children to listen and gain good qualities from than an actual adventure. Time had felt more skeptical of his first predecessor's tales from certain parts of the stories which felt fabricated to paint a more interesting tale of the hero's adventure.

The hero of men's stories on the other hand... Time felt a sense of kinship with his tales. Like Time he had gone on three adventures and he had also faced hardships that harmed him more than help. The shattering of his own soul from the blade he helped made was a prime example. However, in spite of all that the hero of men had survived he had gone on to live a happy and fulfilled life, something Time had seen as impossible. Learning that there was someone like him who had gone on to live a happy life gave Time hope, it gave him strength to find his happiness in life.

And he did find happiness. Happiness was at the ranch with Malon. So he made his home and swore on the hero of men to live a fulfilled and happy life just like him.

At least that had been the plan till for some unknown reason he once again had to travel through time to save Hyrule but this time it was with the heroes from the different eras. Time in his innermost thoughts hoped that he may meet the hero of men, see the person who inspired him.

The hero of men being the smithy seemed like the most likely option to Time and hearing the name of the sword he carried had all but confirmed his suspicions. This gave Time a new perspective and further proved that his faith and adoration of the hero of men was well deserved. The smithy had had his three adventures already but was still a well adjusted individual and most importantly he was living.

Despite the revelation Time had, this new adventure went on and the chain kept moving forward....

This is my first time posting work for this fandom so I hope I do the boys justice despite the ooc-ness at times...
