thinking about how Legend + Alexandria and all the other invincible capes trapped in the Khonsu time skip bubbles had to watch the civilians stuck inside watch as their friends from outside looked at them in horror and realizing quickly that their friends were unable to speak back to them.

It wasn't that the civilians were slowed because after banging on the impenetrable wall of the time bubble, which their hands never passed through, their friends never reacted. Some of the victims tried to convince others that it would all be over in a quick second, while others who had seen the effects of the bubble explained that they would all degrade over months or even years of time.

Legend didn't intervene with their arguments because he knew better after already getting trapped in one of these bubbles, though he knew that years was correct. And each day, the moon never came and the sun beat down on the backs of each civilian as they foraged for food which inevitably failed. The details were nebulous and each day went faster and hazier until eventually it came to a close, and the ground was littered with skeletons. It had only taken around a few days for most of the people to lose hope, even the ones who had food on them. They pleaded with him to help them, but each time he had to explain that there was nothing he could do. Khonsu wouldn't stop the bubble if he knew they would live anyway. And Khonsu didn't let Legend free. Even after the civilians died and Legend banged on the walls, and his stomach ached and his mouth ran dry, because even as he didn't need any food or water, they helped his brain to feel that much better. He watched as outside the time bubble the people slowly opened and closed their eyes, and they slowly ran from him, and eventually he ran out of people who looked in, and only saw the backs of people running from the bubble. He considered, only considering, that if he ever exited the bubble he would simply fly and fly away and never come back. He could go home, and protect his loved ones. Legend already had these thoughts in a different time bubble, just a few months ago, a few minutes ago. So of course, when the translucent screens were pulled down and the time bubble was popped, the rush of sound and vibrations reminded Legend of why he was even there. When he noticed the Endbringer focusing on a group of running civilians and capes, he reminded himself of his job, and flew fast as light to the people. They were the loved ones of someone else. Maybe he was able to push a few of them away, but the rest banged on the boundaries of the newly created time bubble and begged Legend to get them out, he told them there was nothing he could do.
